Horrible. As a student who went here, I can honestly say that this experience was horrible. There was so much homework, and one teacher did not even have a degree. Some of the staff treat students horribly. I transferred to Maricopa High School. The staff are much nicer, and it has many more opportunities than pathway.

Sometimes they run out of lunch halfway through the lunch time. The high schoolers are not given lockers as well as having to go through the majority of their classes in portables. Would not recommend going here. After the arts department was butchered a bit it feels empty and lifeless.

this such a wonderful school. They know where my girls stand for their rights. Principle for elementary school, K-6. She is GREAT. The assistant to her is AWESOME.

My oldest daughter has been going to school here for 5 years now. The faculty becomes like family. The curriculum is challenging. My 5th grader is doing work that is almost at the same level as my public high school kid.

Worst school I have EVER been to and definitely not like any other so called “Private school”.. don’t allow your kids to go to the high school here. I went to this school and stayed with my sister and her kids because our mom was sick and had a stroke so this was the next best option and I thought nothing bad would possibly happen but every where I turned students targeted me and basically bullied me because I was “different”.. I had short hair or I had a type of ear piercing and this started my first day at this school with people already giving me problems. The teachers on the other hand aren’t as great either and don’t teach things the proper way, instead some of them rather say a few things in the front of a class then pass out printed paper for you to read about the subject they’re supposed to be teaching then tell you to turn around to your neighbor and go over what you read.. it made it difficult for me to know what was going on and I started doing bad which never happens because I was a straight “A” student before I went there. Whenever I had a problem with someone (keep in mind I’m a very shy student who kept to myself) the deen/principle seemed to not want anything to do with me or basically made some sort of face when I tried to talk to him or even said he’d get back to me and never did.. the front office people were very peculiar and didn’t like me for some reason either except for one who was a blonde but I can’t remember any of their names. Another thing I’d love to mention is that their sports team isn’t all that great either.. and definitely don’t have good sportsmanship so if your kid wants to join a sports team make sure you’re there with them most of the time in case something happens or simply have them join a sports team outside of the school. I was a female on the wrestling team with two other girls and I was one of the two people that got disrespected and I’m not talking about because I am a female I’m taking about my race and everything. I’m going to throw things out there because I’m tired of holding my tongue. The coach I was dealing with was coach George and an assistant coach.. the coach had a son who didn’t even go to our school on the wrestling team and he went to the Maricopa high school and got kicked out for hurting another dude and they didn’t want him back. The guy is not apart of the school and was 18 on the team with females but I think the thing that really got me is he was very disrespectful and literally talked about not caring if he beat a girl/ fist fighted one. Yes, some of this was in front of the coach (his dad) but he didn’t do anything about it really.. I had to complain to the assistant coach and tell him why I haven’t been acting myself lately and he said he will tell the coach to discipline his son (which didn’t last long) but it was worth a try. It’s not one hundred percent proven a fact but some say the coach could be racist and it could possibly be true because there were two black females on the team who got disrespected by a few/threatened and nothing was done but the moment the other female had a problem she was asked what was wrong. I do know for a fact the son was racist but they never kicked him off the team and even if there wasn’t a lot of proof for something then he still should’ve been kicked off either way because he is too old and he is dangerous. I had to remove basically everyone I met from maricopa cause I didn’t want to deal with disrespect anymore even the innocent ones because people came out of nowhere and started stuff on my Snapchat. I was only there for about 4-5 months before asking my sick mom if I can return with her cause I couldn’t deal with all the harassment and bullying.. and there was about two months of wrestling season left that I wanted to finish but apparently it wasn’t gonna happen.. It was hard on me but I went to another private school that is taking their time with me from what I experienced. Take your kids to maricopa high school cause this school has things backwards. If I could I wouldn’t give this school even one star..

My kids go to this school. I'm pretty critical, and I had one of my children in the public schools here, home schooled, and now in Pathway. My other has always gone to Pathway. I must say that there have been excellent strides at Pathway. The teachers truly love what they do, and have gone above and beyond to help the students. They have their issues, like any school, but you won't find the personal care and dedication for your student anywhere else. As to the "gate issue", the principals and teachers greet each student with a handshake daily. They really show respect to ALL students. I do believe during the day there used to be intermittent access to the "yard" but no longer. While I think the curriculum should be more challenging, that seems to be an issue with all of the brick and mortar schools that I've made inquiries into. That's where my job comes in to challenge my kids as their parent. The students that I've spoken to have liked the school, and there seems to be very limited bullying. Mr. Gentile is an excellent principal, and I am happy to have him at the helm.

This school has given me opportunities that Maricopa High doesn't have. I will accomplish more here than anywhere else!

My special needs child tends to say some scary things to try and avoid responsibility. Despite being informed of this on his IEP, they called the police on me when I refused to have crisis counselors see him. Unless you have a flawless and perfect child, I don't recommend this school. They are just as awful as the public schools in the area.

Worst sportsmanship. I understand school spirit, but the kids at this school were rude, offensive, and mean. Maybe this is what they teach here.. making fun of people and letting kids get away with social media bullying is NOT the kind of school I would want my kids to go to. THIS IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD.

I will be relocating my family to Arizona this summer and am looking into enrolling my daughter into 9th grade. Wanted to see if anyone can give me feedback on this school. I have heard they give like 3 hours of homework each night and that the teachers have no patience with the kids. Also is it located on an Indian reservation? Any info would be helpful. Ty

Wonderful school! Great staff, They work with the kids and seem to care about their success. I wish my kids had started school there when we first moved to Maricopa! I am glad I have them in there now.

One of the best schools I've ever seen with some of the best teachers I've ever seen. However, the district is really scummy and only wants to make money, and not teach kids. .

Best school I've ever been to! Nice qualified teachers. They've even introduced computers to 5 th grade. New projects that are very interesting. They have taught me well. The slogan "Where every child is known." is so true I walk past a teacher and they are like hi Sabrina and tell me good morning.

It is a sad day in education when CEO's run school districts and make "shoot from the hip" decisions that affect so many lives. It is unfortunate that Doug Pike's bullying nature won out over solid decision making. Two energetic, compassionate, caring adults that have made a huge impact on Maricopa youth over the past many years we forced into an unthinkable situation. One has to ponder why? If Mr Pike came to the school to "work with these two administrators" on how the transfer of power was to happen; why did he have last pay and brand new moving boxes in his possession to have the conversation he is reported to have come to have. This appears on the surface to be a case of two sides at an impasse, the one with the "bigger title" and "more authority" wielding power and aggression on the other two. Sad, in a setting where compromise, teamwork, community, family values and trust are at the ready every day of the week. Shame on you Doug Pike for this error. It is time to make it right and admit you are wrong. Shouldn't the other two school board members have had an idea what was going to transpire at the school that day? Tamara Becker reports she had no idea. Time to pull on you real administrators vestments and make this right. You can do it! Ali

Wonderful School excellent staff and teachers

H Fam

The front office staff needs to work on their customer service skills. You shouldn't be talking with others when someone comes to the front counter. You should stop the non work related conversation and help people. Don't let people stand there for 15 mins until you finally acknowledge them. Since you are the face of the school you should remember customers are not the enemy. You have a choice to work for this school so you should do your job to the best of your ability. A customer doesn't need your opinion on whether our children are old enough to have lunch by themselves or with their dad. We are quite capable of making our own decisions on this matter. So far every expeience I have had with front desk personnel has been horrible. I would recommend they take some training classes to learn some effective communication skills. Being passive aggressive and rude doesn't qualify for good skills.
