I have to say this is one of the worst school districts. Our son went to school here from first grade till the end of tenth. The elementary teachers were OK and willing to work with and speak to parents that cared about their child's education. As of child moved to 8th grade the school started "taking control" of all aspects of his life. By the time he got to the high school the school pitted the students and our son against their parents. When we noticied teachers giving kids answers for major tests instead of teaching them we took it to the principal and he never did anything about it. The principal basically said we were lying and gave us a list of everything they were doing which was, in their eyes, progressive. Also, they put such a deep rift between us and our son he was at the point of lying to everyone at the school and making us to be the bad guys because we were trying to teach him cheating is wrong and they were teaching him it's not cheating if the whole school is doing it. We had to move out of state to get him "back"to normal. Now he is at a good school he has been tested for content he should know and failed because this school didn't teach what he needs. He is way behind on graduation material and it has been really hard for him to adjust but he will make it. I would NOT send any child to this school. Choose Vail district or bus your child to another school. This school and these teacher act like and have said in the past if we didn't get "on board" with them they would have to sit is down and have a serious discussion. AVOID this school at ALL costs!! They are not teaching your children what they need for life. Unless you are OK with your kid being a lazy, cheating bum.
