I as a student was there for about four years, And my dad taught robotics and helped out a teacher who was unable to teach because she was horrid at teaching, so I asked my dad to go to school and help her out. My overall experience was a Rollercoaster! Sure you get ready in the morning a little quicker with the uniforms, but that doesn't mean your not going to be judged the minute you get to school. * NEWS FLASH * kids don't just judge you on what you're wearing, they find ANYTHING to make fun on you. They say that they are NOT a MORMON school, but they surly are! The teachers and coaches said that they liked us all the same, but I really didn't belive that. You can definitely tell which teachers were Mormon. There was favoritism towards the Mormon kids, and religion was always brought up in class, and I'm pretty sure that's NOT aloud. One year I wanted to join a softball team, and of course it was with a MORMON Coach, and when I got to the practice, I felt very left out, and when the time came around to pick the final softball teammates, guess what!!! They were ALL MORMON!!!! Same with the choir teacher. I was in choir for the whole time at ALA, And once again favoritism. Their was 1st sopranos and 2nd. And for some reason 1st somehow mentioned #1 haha. And you guessed it, they were all MORMON! And they treated everyone like they were lower than dirt. Another thing that annoyed me was when I would say "OH MY GOD". They would act like it was going to make their ears bleed, And they being MORMONS! I had a teacher threaten me suspension if I didn't stop saying it. REALLY! My dad being a teacher there even got bullied. My dad, not Mormon, smoked, drank coffee, and if the kid was disruptive, he would set them straight! But he never divided the class from Mormon, to non-mormons. One day I came home from class and I needed help with math homework and I bet you there was like 50 math problems. Well that day I went to math class, guess what that teacher was working on... SOFTBALL STUFF! She was the head coach for softball and the math teacher and instead of teaching math she decided to order the softball gear and uniforms, DURING A CLASS! So after telling my dad that he decided to go see her before class, and right when he got in there she was sassy, and rude to him and didn't want to give him the time to speak. So my dad threw the parent card at her saying, "are you talking to me as a co-worker, or as a parent? Cause now I'm a parent!" And she kept making up excuses, claiming softball was more important. After that whole deal was done, I had class that morning with her and you know what she did, she called me out in class, in front of EVERYONE! So please save the headache and NEVER EVER bring your children here!

Soooo...reading these recviews I was surprised. I do believe that the young lady complaining about LDS people and the softball-caching teacher must have been talking about the high school. The San Tan Valley campus is an elementary school, so no softball coaches. As for our kids' experiences, they have been amazing. Not once did my children feel that their LDS (Mormon) classmates treat them any differently than their non-LDS classmates. The teachers are professional, kind, and excellent at what they do. Communication is constant, and if you email a teacher they email back quickly. Specifically, Ms. Autieri was the most amazing teacher to our daughter. She helped her overcome her belief that she could not do math. Such a kind, giving and wonderful teacher! We are impressed with the caliber and quality of the staff and administration at this school. I could never ask for better for my children!

The fat lady with red shirt hair (sorry no other way to describe her) who stands out in the parent pick up "directing traffic" is extremely rude and should not be out there. She also made fun of my child's speech and should not be working there! She is constantly rude with a smirky attitude. There is no need for her to be rude to the students or their parents!! We are the foundation of the school. If the staff doesn't like the families what is the point of the school?!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this school! Fun, yet challenging learning environment with emphasis on personal responsibility. Great teachers...kind, concerned and involved... (In response to another review: Never once, in 3 years has anyone tried "to convert me to Mormonism")... it is a public charter school encouraging a moral and responsible environment.

Mathew Quinn

Worst School Ever!! All they do is try to convert you to be Morman!
