If I could rate no stars I would. The school is horrible the teachers are very rude when I go pick up my kids at the end of the day. They continue to tell me I'm doing things wrong when I'm trying to listen to the directions. Their is one teacher over on the elementary side that has had multiple issues with parents including myself and many more. The kids get into trouble for a little things and get yellow and red cards? My high school never did that and I have a high school kid that attends combs high school and they don't do this and I also have kid at queen creek and neither do they. I'm not saying send your kids to combs or queen creek but I would love to see changes to this school and be less strict to the kids. And with the transportation it wouldn't hurt to do something new. 700 for a bus ride all year? Absolutely insane

The only thing stopping me from rating this school at a 5 is the fact that they do not have bus service for kids participating in after school activities.

I attended the school myself and I found almost no joy being there. There were clear favorites. And most importantly the school doesn’t inform the students or the parents of what’s going on until the last moment. My middle school experience with them felt like a huge waste.

It’s pretty good the teachers are very chill and nice

(Translated by Google) It is a very complete school, where they care about students to have a more competent level, it has a lot of discipline, sports and a very trained staff, it is a new school for our communities in San tan Valley, Queen Creek and the surrounding areas, what It has grown rapidly, I recommend it for the education of their children, I believe as a mother that my children could not be anywhere better. This is the worst school they give the students way too much homework and when I went to go get pulled out and go to a different school they didn't ask a single question on why I wanted to leave

We made a mistake at the beginning of this year, enrolling our son in another charter school. Within a few weeks, we came RUNNING back to ALA! This school is wonderful. The teachers are incredibly dedicated and go above and beyond. Yes, there is a lot of homework -- but every bit of it is applicable to classes, and truly prepares students for the realities of a college class load. There are so many wonderful electives to choose from. My son is taking band, and he has learned so much so fast (thank you, Mr. Brines!). We are so grateful for the presence of ALA Ironwood in our community.

How can this school be called American Leadership Academy when school board members like Timothy Vaughn act in a manner unbecoming of a leader. He's belittling officials a violation of aia code of conduct (if he's still an official) and he's engaging inappropriately with fans in the stand and acting in a manner he kicked everyone out at the Benjamin Franklin game last year for acting. At this rate charter schools don't only seem toxic for the community they're toxic for your kids too.

Love this school! great administrative staff and students!

American Leadership Academy Ironwood is the BEST school ever! Not only are the academics amazing, but the leadership skills that are learned here will help students in and out of high school. 10th graders have a financial literacy class to teach them how to do things like balance a budget to how to stay out of debt. ALA Ironwood also has great leadership classes (I.e. student Council and Link Crew) that allow students to plan school wide events. Next the schools growing athletics department is phenomenal! Pom and cheer are going to state in February, cross County’s runners are winning medals in the AIA, and regardless, the football team is #1! This school is certainly a school that I would recommend to anyone from k-12! GO WARRIORS!

I like the school. It took me a little time to write something on here. I like to check it out before I say something. My daughter is doing good. She has made friends. Every time I brought concerns up to the teacher or the staff they have resolved it.

I submitted a complaint about a bus driver who spoke inappropriate comments to my child during her morning commute over the bus intercom. Other students heard what the driver said, also, a teacher at ALA overheard my daughter and a student discussing the matter and the teacher encouraged my daughter to report the issue. After I submitted the complaint, ALA said they would conduct an investigation. I got a call/voicemail from a member from the ALA Transportation Department about a week later saying they conducted and found no fault with the driver. We gave ALA names of students that my daughter was with who also overheard this - but they wouldn't provide any detail on the investigation and whether a student was interviewed or not. They didn't give specifics, but said to call back if I had questions. I called back, left a voicemail, no response. After 2 months of me following up with the school, I finally got an email back and scheduled a call with the ALA Transportation member. In short, they said the bus driver claimed he didn't state the comments my daughter allegedly accused him of, therefore, no disciplinary action. Not even offering to change his bus route. Red flag after red flag with this school. They look immaculate on the outside but with this experiences, it raises many questions on their systematic approaches to serious allegations.

My son has been going to this school for two years now. He loves it. He has made the Director's Honor Roll this year and has learned so much. I love the variety of classes they offer and the fact that offer things like money management classes, which every child should have to attend at all schools.

This review was a 5 STAR until I heard from a close friend of mine that it take 45 minutes in line picking your kids from school since all kids K-12 get out at the same time. No thanks! They seriously need staggered exit times. This school is clean and requires school approved clothes. There’s opportunities for main public speeches in front of large audiences during the Holiday performances for proud parents cheering for their kid. Great teachers. Nice playground area.

Ala ironwood has better specail accomadation then ala queencreek... at ala queencreek they out me in regura classes without a para. Now moving to ala ironwood id helped bc i have a para all time. I can say the school has it bad bc there was people bring things to school that should not been in the school but they handle it really well. My fav part about ala ironwood is that they deaf culture classes. The way they handle mental health meltdowns is not really cool bc they just dont Know how to handle mental health... I can say one para does know how to handle my meltdowns really well.
