I'm a parent of a child who i purposely removed from this school and placed over into a school that was better suited for my child's education and learning purposes. When my child attented this school I saw terrible grades. Spoke with a few teachers and paid a few pop visits and I clearly saw why. the way the kids were running up and down the halls, Talking loud, Being disrespectful, Fighting, saw a few underage girls preganant. The first thing came to mind was OH MY GOD ITS JUNIOR THUGVILLE CENTRAL! And on that day that my child got attacked by a bunch of thugs who also attended this school. I spoke with the principal, got the information On the boys, filed charges with the police and wouldn't you know it the principal suspended My child as well as the one's who started the fight. I'm supposing the principal's idea was if someone slaps your face then the best thing to do is to just stand there and let them keep slapping you or run away like punk and be the epitomy of jokes from now til graduation. (Oh yes like that's really the best way to get an education huh) smh its pathetic how decent people send their child to school to get an education so that they will have a better chance at life and its always has to be some wacko out there causing problems. But where I blame this place is the simple fact that they have no order or control over these kids none whatsoever. Its like once they get there they wonder off wherever they want to go. And do whatever they feel. I mean yes this is high school but these are still freaking kids.

i hate this school. its like a prison. with the way the kids are all running around and carrying on like wild dogs i wouldnt dare send my child to this place. if the teachers, the principal, and even the police cant get control over this place and i mean soon then with this new take over hopefully they shut this place down and make it a decent apartment complex. this place is ridiculous

Let me just say if your a parent and going through these reviews STOP and read this. This will matter to your child’s life. I moved to lee high school sophomore year and it wasn’t as organized as the school I attended before that but I had no choice. Senior year comes around and I start receiving death threats from a Muslim Egyptian kid that I had class with. I’m an Egyptian Christian, and this kid was talking to me bout Islam and blah blah blah but I never gave him attention. So he goes on the internet and tells me that if I don’t convert to Islam then he will hurt my nieces or he will hurt me! Keep in mind that I’ve never associated with this guy after having class with him sophomore year. Going back to the threats I replied to him and defended myself just like anyone would. But I was never violent in my words and never threatened him back. I took all these messages and took it to the security officer and he send me to the principal office to discuss the situation. I printed out all the messages from the start when he was being creepy down to when he threatened me and my family. Also showed his messages bout him trying to convert me and how he brought all of this from his religion. This was year 2014-15 my senior year. Anyway the principal calls on the guy and he comes to the office and the principal confronts him. And the guy admits to everything, so the principal scares him off and sends him back to class. And I asked the principal I don’t feel comfortable with this whole situation I wanna file a claim about this. The principal assured me that if I call the cops they would not be able to do anything. He also assured me that “hey he looks like he learned his lesson I don’t think he’s gonna bother you again.” I was young then, didn’t know much, I didn’t even discuss it with my mom or my dad. But I did discuss it with other people and they told me that what the principal did was wrong, that person could come after me once school is over. Come to find out the principal only cared for his image and the schools image. He did not care for my life “the students life.” I then learned that these type of threats are to be taken seriously. But the principal cared only for himself not the threats I got from a violent student at school. At the end of the day the principal gets his paycheck and goes to sleep in peace.

Its pretty ghetto, could be better, still good teachers. Although declining, could be a better community. Atleast I don't get bullied. Social Studies Department is pretty dope doe.

This is the most horrible school ever when u get to school u can't use the bathroom before class cause they lock the bathrooms the bathrooms be dirty poop in the toilet tissue on the floor underwear on the floor unsanitary place they run out of food and the staff there are horrible Mr. Bright hits children in the chest like one day this new girl was in class and her first day very smart girl on her phone others too he comes in and goes to get desk and bangs on her desk and says PUT THAT UP and when he left she started crying so the teacher talked to her but they don't try to help the children they give up on the children they hire the most unprofessional teachers ever some teachers are perverts they don't act professional and don't dress professional they are very lazy teachers they don't want to even let u out the classroom the bathrooms stink and are not clean now they want to take your earbuds if u listening to them this school idle full of lazy people teachers be changing grades and everything teachers barley teach they don't care if u fail or pass the food is nasty what school gives lunch with hotdogs and hamburger buns that's so ghetto what school gives breakfast for lunch teachers be on there phones cuss at children this school needs help cant even afford new books for us those books are outdated not on our grade like one day boy was having seizure in classroom the nurses are so slow getting to him like they really have ugly attitudes men act like women this school need nicer staff and counselors just pathetic this school deserves an F.

This is the highest ranking your school should receive while it's named after a traitor to our country. What sort of example are you setting for your white students? Do you really want them to look up to a man who lost a war fighting for slavery? Naming a school after a loser like Robert E. Lee is like giving the Confederacy a participation trophy. What a horrible stigma for them to grow up under!

Hi from class of 2013 The school is pretty bad and I’m surprised it didn’t close down by since it’s gotten a D for a overral grade. Adding 9th graders was the main problem and hiring coaches who like sleeping with ugly lil girls

This is the best school in Alabama. This school is where the greatest public school teachers come to work. Teachers wish for a chance to work here. It is the best school, not only in Alabama, but in the entire world.

i never went to this school. nor do i have a kid that goes there or went there or anything either. but after hearing all of the horror stories from kids that do go there, that went there,and a few comments about it from parents. personally i suggest to you all that if you are a parent that is really serious about your child's education and future then maybe just maybe you all should try to send your kid somewhere else. even if you have to result in personally driving your kid across town every single day to make sure your kid is safe and sound and getting the best education there is then do it. if you have to result in private or even homeschooling then do it. i mean after all this is your kid we are talking about here.
