REVIEWS OF The Kitchen IN Wyoming

Excellent local find. Staff super friendly and on top of every aspect of the service. Server was very friendly and unique welcome. Food was cooked exactly how we asked. Top 10 restaurants we have ever been to.

Алина

Fine dining establishment. Everything we had was very well prepared. Service is attentive.

kathleen valenstein

Loved our dining experience. Had the salmon which was prepared perfectly. Others in our party had the tenderloin and pork chop. Paired with a delightful Tempranillo. All very tasty. Best restaurant in Jackson. Prices not bad given outstanding dining experience. Thank you Holly.

Peter Rumbach

Tasty pork belly appetizer

Nick Cowans

If you happen to be here while they offer the $12 menu: DON'T MISS IT! We ordered one dish to share between two as a starter and then another dish each as mains. Food was spectacular. Modern decor and friendly service are a perfect match. I'd be surprised if there was a better dinner spot in Jackson.

Great food and service. Also worth checking out the Snake River Brewing Company brewpub

Walter Pickel

Simply awesome food and service.

Michael Alley

Great food

This place was pretty good but the food is very spicy I had the turkey spring rolls and there were 6 of them and I could only eat 3 of them. But the burger was good it didn't come with lettuce or tomato if you like very spicy foods eat here but if you don't then I don't reccomend to go to the kitchen

best restaurant forever~ I love the shrimper so much. I will visit again ~

Blair Pollister

Excellent Food. Service is Superb. The patio is perfect for a warm summer evening dinner, it's relaxing, romantic and comforting all at once!

Yuang Liu

As an Asian, I strongly advice not to order Pho Bo at this restaurant. You'll get a wrong idea of what's real Asian food. But besides that, the service is superb and the fish here is also really good. In Jackson Hole, a hardcore American place, it's really nice to dine in a restaurant that reminds me of Europe.

Daniel Revier

Came during the off season and loved it. The Kitchen was doing a "your" of world cuisine. We came on a Peruvian night and thoroughly enjoyed the Tacu-tacu and octopus ceviche. The drinks were also on point to go with the meal.

Kristina S

Awful service and expensive menu with poor taste. Left hungry after a 100$ tab for 2 of us. Eating granola bars as I write this.

Jared Cropley

Good people, Great food, Better drinks... Tip that bartender a lot!

Jules Pearson

Great place in Jackson where the food is full of flavor. Asian influences but local produce.

Dylan Hubbard

Holy **** this place was so good. Trout was incredible. The vegan cheese cake and strawberry cheese cake were also amazing.

Frank Mansuetto

The Kitchen, is freaking awesome. They keep it really dim inside, I love it. Great ambiance. All the decor is also very warm. Wood slats that run up the wall and onto the ceiling. I was celebrating my wife's birthday with a trip to Jackson together. I had the catfish and green papaya salad. I don't know what urged me to order fried fish at a nice place like this, but I'm glad I did. It was freaking delicious. This is not your normal fish and chips type of dinner. This is fried perfection, and the bed of salad it came on top of was a delicious compliment. My wife got the house chicken which was equally as delicious. We shared some mussels as an appetizer. The service was quick and kind. They saved our reservations, no complaints whatsoever. I was totally please by this place and would recommend it to anyone for a special occasion, or just a delicious night on the town.

Hemp Life

Way to expensive for the smallest amount of food. Small portions need to have flavor. But this place does not understand that concept. Don't come here.

Kitchen offers tasty contemporary american food (amazing crudo), a great vibe, friendly service, original drinks and a well curated wine list. It is definitely worth a visit and is one Jackson's foodie gems.

Jared Hynes

Michael Legere

The most incredible dining experience I have had in a long time the trout is a must have.

Bryan Hopper

Come for the appetizers, go elsewhere for your mains. We ordered several appetizers that were absolutely delicious, however, we were highly disappointed in the quality of our main dishes. Both the ramen and vegan soba dishes lacked any real flavor. On a more positive note, our waiter was a gem!

Chinita Chapina

Shaylee

Great service. Enjoyable atmosphere. Delicious food!

Stephanie Leib

Nice atmosphere but overall mediocre experience. Cocktails were too sweet, food and service were average at best. Would have paid $45 for the experience, bill was $110 before tip. Disappointing.

SOOO DELICIOUS... and the servers are friendly and just generally awesome. We had the Peruvian ceviche, a Morel Mushroom appetizer, Pork Belly masa appetizer, a beautiful Hamachi sushi beet appetizer, a seared sushi-grade Salmon steak, and panko breaded Idaho Trout. I had a fusion margarita that was so good that my normally suger-averse fiance "shared" it with me until I had to order a second one to "share". For dessert, we ordered the mango Sticky rice panna cotta and the Chocolate creme pot (a dense mousse). EVERYTHING was sooo good that we began reminiscing about Michelin-starred restaurants we'd been to in New York, San Francisco and Paris, haha... Hats off to the inventive and talented chef as well as our wonderful, kind and attentive server, Sara :) Highly recommended to dine here if you are passing through Jackson Hole. All of the staff were highly engaged and we had numerous people bringing us drinks, filling our waters and clearing away empty dishes throughout the dinner. A man who we assume was the general manager stopped by several times to make sure we were happy. We devoured every dish they brought us; it was all sooo tasty and beautifully presented. An added bonus is that the Kitchen is located a couple blocks off the main drag in a quiet neighborhood with a subdued, contemporary decor, so it feels like a peaceful oasis after the barrage of (sometimes gaudy and often overwhelming) tourists traps you encounter downtown.

Lauren Docktor

Awesome cocktails and I’ve never had a bad meal. If they have venison on the menu, get it.

Thomas Kinney

Great service, fantastic food. Creative combinations perfectly cooked and seasoned. One of my top five in Jackson! Trust them on the cookie in a skillet.

The Barber Shop Crumlin

Food was 100%

Martha Wagler

Very pleasant. Great service. Friendly.

Katy Canetta

My favorite restaurant in JH. Great service, a surprisingly urban vibe for a small town place, and food with a unique spark. Order the potato chip pie!

Tony Klamm

Try the Maple Burger!

Jay Graham

The menu is creative but many of the dishes don't come together. Good location and cool layout. Would try other restaurants first.

Richard Williams

Steve

Awesome place. Wonderful staff. Thanks Danny for a wonderful experience. Food was great.

Allison Capri

My boyfriend and I stopped here for dinner on our vacation and enjoyed the food. Nothing special or over the top but was good. The Ramen was really flavorful and unique compared to some other Ramen we have had. The Salmon was good but nothing made it stand out over other places. Overall a good place to eat.

Matthew Stephen

Don't let the prices keep you away. The food, the service, everything is spectacular here. Eat here!

Ordinarily, my wife and I will tip unless the service is really really bad. Typically, we tip 20% and are thankful for our gifts. On tonight’s venture into The Kitchen, we were seated promptly outdoors because it was explained to us that reservations were required for inside seating. Given the wonderful weather... we were more than happy to sit outside with our boys. We waited for ten minutes after seating, poured our own water glasses from the carafe, and yet still no presence from the staff. My wife and I ordered a glass of wine each and our sons ordered Shirley Temples. I tried to converse with the waitress and tried to express my desire to order a Cabernet with my ribeye to follow my initial glass of Sauvignon Blanc ... only to look up from the wine list to find our waitress walking away! Again, twenty minutes later we received our drinks and nothing for the boys. Our appetizer arrives and we inquired about the boys STs. Let me check we are told. Ten minutes later our waitress informs us that the “carbonation machine” is not working and she will bring them tea instead .... at a charge too at this point! Be still my beating heart! Are you kidding me?! BTW other patrons are ordering Diet Coke and Sprite ... machine must be selective. Alright, at this point we are thinking it can only go up from here .... how wrong we were! We received our meal finally and are an hour and fifteen minutes into our dining experience. I had asked for my Cabernet “again” after my steak arrived only to wait fifteen minutes for it! At this point even my children are asking what’s up! My main concern is .... why, given all the supposed irregularities and inconsistencies with our service, did we never once hear from the manager?! I do realize that Jackson is a very wealthy town and there’s quite a snootiness about. However, at Gather restaurant, we not only were informed, in detail, about menu options and availabilities, but the service was beyond prompt ... bordering on perfectionistically prompt that we were remiss to leave only a 25% tip. Our glasses never achieved 1/3 fullness without being replenished. Wow. IF ... big IF, we ever return to Jackson, we will dine anywhere other than The Kitchen. My sincerest apologies for being so brutal, but sometimes poor service necessitates an honest, yet humbling, review. I hope and trust others experiences were/are better. Johnathan Earp Greenville NC

Unique and fun atmosphere, delicious food, and super friendly employees. Had a great time!

Emily Dodson

Beautiful, delicious, and delightful from cocktails, and appetizers to entrees, wine selection and dessert. Very friendly service, pleasant atmosphere and aesthetic. Perfect for our second anniversary celebration!

My fiance and I came after camping. We were starving and super excited to find a place with pescitarian/vegetarian options. We sat down & ordered, I got a coke which came flat, no big deal though. Then we took a look at the menu. We were a bit taken back by the high prices, but we figured since the restaurant & atmosphere seemed nice, the food would be worth it too. We ordered two salads and a starter. The starter we got was really good, but very small. But since it was a starter, we figured it wasn't going to be huge. Then our salads came. They are absolutely TERRIBLE. My fiance got the vegan ceviche which had no flavor, and was about two bites of food for nearly $20 for the plate. I got the arugula salad which was supposed to have some toppings. All that it came with was about 4 nuts and a sprinkle of goat cheese. The arugala was completely wilted and seemed like it had been sitting out for hours. The dressing on my salad had no flavor, just tasted like they put some cooking oil on it and called it good. Awful experience hands down and a HUGE waste of $65. Left even more hungry & broke. Would highly recommend NOT coming here.

This restaurant is overrated. The decoration and service were fine and fitted Jackson vibe. The food tastesd unusual but not to my preference. Raw yellowtail was not fresh; braised pork taste rare; and warm duck with cold sweat beans didn't match. Baby asparagus was the only acceptable disk. A below expectation food experience after a wonderful day in Grand Teton.

A lot of food for the price, delicious biscuits and gravy.

Tom North

Had the Peruvian ceviche and the scallops. Both outstanding.

Viking D

Very accommodating staff however the sushi is real bad. So if you go there for sushi, don't. Some of the nonsushi dishes were decent buy tiny. Not for me.

Bonnie Benham

Oh so good! Only thing better than the food was the staff and service!

Amanda

Mediocre menu and food. Cool atmosphere and great wine list. Wished they would specify they serve non traditional dishes. Overall bland. Tataki boring, Trout tasted like Salmon. Menu online is different than actual menu. States American menu but all Asian inspired dishes. We left wanting more. 3 stars for ambiance and drink menu.

Reservation at 8. Service was great. Our server was attentive but not overbearing. She had great recommendations for what to so in Jackson. The shrimp app was large and delicious. We also tried the beef tartare and the spring rolls, with the rolls being our least favorite. I probably would not order them again but we really want to return for the skillet cookie.

Stirling Spencer

Good not Great - The food is good, but not nearly as enjoyable as the atmosphere... Truly a beautifully contemporary space to dine. The food just needs to come up another notch to truly make this place a gem.

Great food. Great service

Kassie Sarr-Dietershagen

Every detail amazed me. Definitely get the luxury shrimp. Friendliest waitress, best food in town.

I came in with a huge group, closed the restaurant down for the day just for my group. My group had the food paid for, so for free food to not be edible in anyway is a huge disappointment, pork came out completely raw and cold, same with the buffalo ribeye, and cheese burgers, extremely raw and cold, and me and five others witnessed the server finger played a stake after licking his finger, super nasty restaurant, health department needs to seriously look into this place.

excellent food with good mix of American and oriental taste, excellent staff.

Food was excellent! Crab cakes were sensational and the burger was one of the best I've had - hands down. The cookie skillet was top 5 desserts we've ever had! Rob from Manchester was great.

Vinny Burnham

Even though we showed up on a night where the place was packed, only wanting dessert and requesing to sit outside on the deck, and they were still very accommodating!!! The after dinner drinks and dessert that we stopped in for were excellent- and the waiter was very attentive. Would recommend giving the place a try if you are in the area.

Allison Argo

Great restaurant!! Ambiance, cuisine, service! And best of all, they have incredibly delicious vegan dishes!!!

Trendy and hip; snotty too... Although, I would not describe as American fare. Maybe it was a bad nite. I have dined in 4 and 5 star restaurants...this one has the atmosphere. The cerviche was excellent, but a definite modern flare.

Ike Faust

Amazing food and great atmosphere. Get the table in the back and make sure to get the skillet cookie. As a 20 year local this place never disappoints and my wife loves it!

Very good Shrimp Tempura

Katherine

When consistency is king, this place is the forever empirer! Even since Helen G. (a head chef) left the quality remains the same which cannot be said for all the hometown joints around national parks. I'd recommend the shrimp (it's all flash frozen anyways, get over it) and the skillet cookie for dessert. Saddle up, treat yourself to a bottle of wine that's cheaper than you think and dig in to some delish cuisine.

turtle rock

Need to rename the place "potato chip pie place" OMG YUM!

Decor: Really modern and stylish! Definitely fit the mood of the occasion nicely. It was very refreshing to be in such a uniquely decorated restaurant after all the burger joints we'd been to. Food: We all ordered the black canyon tenderloin, the seaweed salad, and the appetizer shrimp. To start off with the steak, it was admittedly a bit small (6 Oz for $35) but boy was it delicious. This was one of the most tender steaks I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The seaweed salad was refreshing and unique. The portions were more than enough for us. The appetizer shrimp was also enough for 4 of us to share and they were nice and crispy! Overall, the menu as a whole was very unique and inventive. Despite the prices being a bit high, this place is definitely worth your visit if you're looking to treat yourself out! Service: Our server was absolutely brilliant. He made us feel very comfortable and he always had a hearty smile on his face. He checked up on us often but didn't feel intrusive at all. Obviously the other servers may be different, but just from my experience, the service was top notch!

Courtenay Veenis

Enjoyed the ambiance, rib eye was delicious. Wasnt impressed with the sashimi but ....but not bad. Great cocktails. Service good!

This place is an amazing. The atmosphere is great, the food is to die for..It is very cozy and romantic.

Leah Iverson

What a superb meal on their outdoor patio. Started out with the escolar crudo, which was light and divine then had the cucumber salad and my partner had the goat curry, which he really enjoyed. We finished our meal with a potato chip pie, which was unlike anything I’ve had before but crave it now, an old fashioned and a drink called ‘three simple rules’. With the 3-course meal we had and a drink a piece the bill came to $105 and it was worth it.

Alex Cao

What a surprise in Jackson hole. Food was amazing

Julia Kitterer

Everything we ate was amazing! The steak was fantastic and so was the shrimp dish. The service was incredible and Emma, our server was excellent! We are from out of town but we would happily come back just for the delicious food and amazing staff. Also, the Potato Chip Pie was to die for!! 5 stars all around!

David Hargrave

Excellent food and service. This was the best place we ate during our week in Jackson.

We have waiting so long, quantity in plate is weak and price is strong. Pity, because food his good.

Jeremiah Feicht

I have to be honest I did not eat a meal. Only came for dessert because of its amazing reputation. The skillet cookie was every bit as good as its reputation. Also this may be the friendliest wait staff in Jackson. They are so nice and kind. Truly a team not an individual server.

Natalie Stephenson Baboram

Friendly and professional staff. Great food!

This place is small, intimate and the food is terrific. The Venison Pho is authentic and delicious

Exceptionally good American fusion food! Every dish has a little twist to make it unique and flavorful. Great service and a nice patio for those blissful summer evenings. Save room for their delicious dessert!

Mark S

We were looking for a nice meal that didn't require reservations. Our Inn hostess reecommended this place, which was just down thee street. We were very pleased with our experience. It is an interestingly designed place with a curved and lit ceiling that created a warm, modern atmosphere. It kind of resembled a subway terminal in Washington DC, but in a good way. We were both very satisfied with our appetizer and entrees. The warm chocalate chip skillet pie was also quite yummy. Highly recommended.

Denise Dzara

Great fish, great wine, great service, great outdoors atmosphere!

Gary Zockoll

Godzilla Monster

The food is fusion of Peruvian, Japanese and another I don't remember. The food was delicious.! Be prepared for small portions with a big price tag. I would certainly go back again. The service was impeccable. We had a server but no less than three people were topping off our water glasses. The atmosphere is modern casual. We went in right after coming off a 10 mile float on the river looking a bit haggard. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. I recommend The Kitchen for it's delicious food and wonderful service.

Jordan Spurling

This is a great restaurant. The squid ink pasta was fantastic. I also had an old fashioned with maple bourbon and apple bitters. It reminded me of an apple pie cocktail but with whiskey and not too sweet. It was great.

Nathan Johns

Service was ok, food was ok

Tomasz Zalewski

Well, not the Kitchen we remember from one year ago in the summer of 2017. The dishes have gotten smaller but not tastier. The tuna sushi was grotesque small. We felt sorry for that baby tuna that got sliced up. See the picture. Being European we understand smaller but tastier portions, but come on, there are some limits. We left the place hungry after leaving $160 on the table for a family of 4. Happy hour drinks were strong, I must admit.

Grant Sovey

why does this mom have big lumps in here eyes?!!?!?!!?!?!?

Andreas Moeller

Attentive and welcoming service and great food. The flank steak with fingerling potatoes was incredibly good, accompanied by a great red. The chocolate mousse for dessert equally well done. Just dont get an espresso unless they improve, but they asked how I liked it, I told them and they did not charge. This meal made my day, go try it.

Allyson Little

great food, service

Kaleb Olson

The service and the food were excellent! The menu is surprisingly diverse and they change the menu every few months so it's worth coming again. The prices were fairly reasonable for a restaurant in Jackson Hole too.

Meggan Kibler

Best restaurant that we ate at while in Jackson! Amazing dinner and dessert was out of this world. Really kind staff!

Lorenzo Lorenz

Food and drinks on point. Best dinner we had in jackson hole. Licked our plates clean. Come for happy hour 530-630pm. Santa Margarita

Melissa Scates

Delicious meal! Both kids had the Ramen, I had the scallops, and my husband had the trout. Beautiful presentation. Warning, portion sizes are what people should be eating, not your typical oversized American ones. Dessert was heavenly - make sure to have the potato chip pie. For 4 people bill was $160

Voray

Vacaed in Jackson Hole for a week, and this place was definitely the best out of all the restaurants. Staff is friendly, food is delicious, and the restaurant is beautiful!

Sue Moore

Great food, attentive service.

Chris Venters

Chef Nilka

fresh and flavorful ingredients! I enjoyed every bite!

Isaac Bejar

Ate here dispite recent negative reviews. We are glad we did; it was the best dinner in five days in Jackson Hole. Service was a bit hectic but very friendly.

Morgan S

The skirt steak was excellent. Service exceptional!

Christopher Pennell

Jay Yarborough

Disappointed in this restaurant. The menu made the meals sound inventive and flavorful, but the food itself left a little to be desired. My pho was overly sweet with not much else in flavor. I added hot sauce, which helped reduce the sweetness, but still not what I had expected from a pho dish. Also, my wife had the pesto pasta and it had very little pesto sauce on it. The mixed drinks were good and service friendly and helpful, but overall a little disappointing.

Melissa Hulvat

There are not enough positive adjectives to describe it! Awesome, stupendous, amazing. The crudos were out of this world, the cocktails inventive and delicious, and all three main dishes our party ordered were home runs. I would actually detour through Jackson if I was any where close in the future just for a another meal at kitchen.

Tim Tenpas

I have never eaten in such a fine establishment as The Kitchen the food and the service was five stars

yasir al-ibrahem

The salmon roll and spicy shrimp we're great. Didn't dig the Tanqueray gin

I will start with the only reason they lost a star, the cocktail menu they posted online was nowhere to be found. That being said, there amaro selection is clutch (I was drinking Varnelli's Dell'Erborista) and the food was killer, they are doing a two-for-one (plus $2 for charity) right now with a rotating menu switching to different flavors around the world right now and I was enjoying Japanese cuisine that set my soul alight in the snowy evening. Definitely check it out if you're looking for some light eats for a good price right now.

Bryan Turner

Ben Proshek

Creative menu and we'll executed. The ribeye steak was phenomenal. Professional staff, gorgeous patio... a little on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for!

Hannah Brown

Good location a block from the town square. Very modern interior and menu with food like none other in Jackson. The Thai Pork Street Skewers were delicious, although the accompanying "spicy cashew sauce" was more sweet than spicy. Staff were casual but attentive, food service was prompt. The Vietnamese Venison Pho was fresh and tasty. Outdoor seating is available during the summer months. Indoor is mostly two and four tops, but a larger booth in the back corner could provide seating for moderately sized groups. Reservations are a must during the summer.

Tim Kilkenny

Fantastic service with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food is creative and delicious. Highly recommended. Try a cocktail and the luxury shrimp.

Kendra Alessandro

Great crudo plates and cocktails. Attentive service and prime location close to Town Square.

Benjamin Hillyard

One of the better dining options in Jackson

Harry Dannenberg

I am vegetarian and have eaten here many times over the past 5-7 years. There is always one vegetarian entree option. I checked online before I came tonight and saw the veggie option was a veggie burger. When I arrived I was told that it was discontinued and there was no vegetarian entree option ( there were vegetarian sides). I would not have come if I knew that beforehand. Very disappointing and I think shows lack of respect towards vegetarians. Otherwise service and food was fine. I may not return again.

Amanda Culver

Interesting mix of dishes from Asian fusion to country cooking with an elegant presentation; very tasty too.I enjoyed my short rib dish! However, the prices were a bit overpriced for what was served as I have had similar dishes from where I am from at a fraction of the cost. Wait staff was super attentive and cheerful, which was my favorite part. Drinks were also very unique.

Aaron Snyder

Tracy Campbell

We started off with calamari and it was wonderful. Excellent Salmon and Ramen for our main meals. Would definitely recommend!!

Hari Subhash

On dish three at the kitchen. Spring rolls were deeply disappointing. Hibachi was excellent. The pork secreto was good. Excellent service raises it from a 3 to a 4.

Curt Jacques

Always good, every year. Something for everyone.

Samuel Smiley

Very attentive server (Sam) and manager. Very good overall.

I thought our food was just okay. We got the seaweed salad, pork belly and lobster sliders and the lamb burger. The sliders were excellent and I would order again. The other two I would pass on. The service, setting and decor were great

Excellent restaurant. Visited mid-week January 2016... Very interesting menu. The Tuna Tartados are particularly recommended. Staff were attentive but not obtrusive and nicely designed dining room. It reminded me of a cosy dining car in some ways. Go if you have the chance!

The Wagyu roll is incredible.
