Great Place to visit on vacation. We come every year to visit from Florida. Love the atmosphere, food and service. Will keep coming
Very good service for lunch. The advice on here for their corn chowder is right on. I liked the elk sliders too but probably would try something else next time. And there will be a next time!
Great place, food and wait staff are excellent. Speck, the bar manager/bartender, is top notch, always friendly and glad to see you. Really worth going.
Great place. Loved the old west feel. Great food
Yummy cocktails and enjoyed the gnocchi.
One of my favorite things to do on vacation is try new coffee shops and restaurants. Jackson Hole has many fantastic options. I was drawn to the Silver Dollar Bar ans Grill due to it’s outside seating and it’s menu. They offer a home made veggie burger. Oh my. It is amazing. So good, that I came back two days in a row and will likely be back here for lunch tomorrow. If they can make a veggie burger taste this good, imagine what the rest of their menu....
Good food, service, and drinks.
Cheerful with a live band and nice atmosphere. Located in the historic Wort Hotel in the heart of Jackson Hole. We ate the Smashed Elk Sliders and Corn Chowder. The chowder was so good and they share the recipe!
The atmosphere is very nice, however the food was poor at best. When our food was brought out, I cut open the Bison Burger to which in the middle was still completely raw, I ordered medium rare. My wife's chicken was also raw in the middle of it. The manager at the time was very kind and gave us the chicken for free but regardless our food was very undercooked.
Super Delicious!
Very nice place, we stopped in for a couple of drinks and appetizers and it was very good but the bartender had a bad attitude,it really seemed like he was angry about something and didn't want to be there, I'm sure it's a great place and he was just having a bad day.
Stop here every time we go to Jackson! Great bar and friendly staff!
This place was so much fun!!We went on a day where they had live music!Super busy, so you must try to keep an open mind. The food was great.
Our bartender was super cool. The food was just ok. Not that impressed.
Another Jackson stalwart. It's so fun to go to the Silver Dollar at the Wort! We had our cocktail hour there after our wedding.
This was a wonderful place to eat. The waitress was such a wonderful lady.
Food is always good not great. Atmosphere, location, music & dancing are what makes it 5 stars.
Good steak and service!
A Jackson Hole original and a must see when there.
Fun place
So so average and honestly not worth the money. The menu hasn't changed in four years. Had terrible experiences here, tried to speak to the manager and was told they would call but never did. They are counting on the tourist dollar. Such a disappointment. Could be fabulous with a small amount of effort.
Always a great place for an adult beverage.
Great food, drinks, and service at this historic place
Incredible history. Incredible food. Try the Elk Sliders a long with the Buffalo Chilli. Wash it down with some brews from the "Snake River Brewing Co. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!
Great food, good service nice people and they had an excellent band. A very cool place with a neat history
Food was great but the service left a little to be desired
Great homemade soup and friendly service
Interesting tourist location.
I went here during a trip. The food was great (4 stars for food), but the service was trash hence the one star. Talk about arrogant service. Unless your older don’t expect much. We came in and it took them 5 min just to bring our menu. I even made direct eye contact with several waiters while they stood around talking. Our server visited us 1 time, just to take our order!! She never even asked us about how the food was. We even tried to get her attention several times when she walked by, but nothing. She helped others around us plenty of times while we were ignored. She was polite though.
Great food, Great service and great attitude.
We were kicked out and cut off
Great experience ❤
Way too much expensive for what it is. Poor food quality.
My friend and I are 24 and 23, respectively, but were not allowed to drink/dine in the bar area for having vertical California ID’s. Despite providing alternate forms of ID proving our age- we were told we couldn’t stay. Ridiculous blanket policy we were told “came from the owner”.
Chicken wings & cowboy bar...........awesome
Fun iconic bar. Food was okay, drinks were nothing special. But the decor and patrons made this place a worthwhile stop. Also one of the few spots in town with somewhat late night food.
Crowded but good, rustic western bar crossed with sports bar, upscale tavern food.
One Ton Pig on Tuesday nights. A true Jackson tradition. Some of my favorite bartenders around too.
Super friendly staff and delicious food
13 of us had dinner there last night - 5 kids (3-9). And 8 adults (33-75). Everyone love their meal. We had 3 great appetizers, mushrooms, spinach artichoke dip and nachos-recommend all 3. Kids had chicken tenders and burgers. Everyone ate their dinner (a bit unusual) Highly recommend the fish and chips, buffalo burger and the elk gyros.
They do not start serving supper until 5:30pm so you can only order bar food which is limited. Had a side salad and and husband had a drink and appetizer cost was $36. Be prepared! $$$
Came to Jacksonhole for business. Ended up eating here almost every night because the food is amazing. Amazing. Corn Chowder and Bison Burger are my favorite. Other great dishes- spinach dip, nachos and club sandwich. I agree with other reviews that service was spotty, but for the three times I ate here the service was poor once. Still, 5 stars for incredible food.
Relaxing western style...It makes you feel part of the place. Good service.
Great atmosphere. The sound of the live music in the bar area with a dance floor is a bit muddled in the dining room, but we managed... Good food, great service, nice selection of local and ares brews. We'll be back --- sometime..
A must see in Jackson with live music
Amazing place good beer good atmosphere and very friendly staff
We like their Cobb salad so well that we went back for more Cub salads the next day! Courteous and fast wait staff and we sat on the sidewalk cafe seating. Nice breeze and cool day everything was perfect!
Must be a bad night. They couldnt get it together. Sent back one order and when they came out to replace that, it was the wrong steak entirely. Paid for our drink and left. I'm sure it was a one off as they have good reviews but we wont be back.
Best place in Jackson for food and service!
Great service, food was good, portions on the smaller side.
Had lunch at outdoor dining. Talil was great as was food.
Really wasn't anything special to justify the prices.
Highly recommend
Food was ok staff was friendly. Gets busy on the weekends. Cool bar with silver dollars.
Great bar attached to The Wort hotel. Jalapeno margarita was exceptional (and huge!) They Also served one of the best veggie burgers I have ever had. Vegetarian friendly. Music / dancing.
Always great food and great service!! Love this place.
I worked at this hotel MANY years ago, visiting brings back a lot of memories. I can say, the food is a LOT better. I had a great burger here.
Great time great food
Tenderloin was horrible, not even sure there was any meat. Burger was a bit better but still sub-par. I think I saw a McDonald's in town that would be better and a lot cheaper.
Had great live entertainment the night we we re there. Good food. Good service. Fun crowd. Love this area!
Love the French Onion Soup!
Yes, it is k own for it's history, but it's truly a fun place to go and the food is good, too. Great Bison burger.
Well done taste of the west. From quaint to awsome food, drink and entertainment. If you can't have fun here, I dont know where else!
Excellent drinks and a lot of fun. We played the game where you roll the dice on the bar. A really neatplace!!
Filet was cooked perfect could eat it with a fork. Desert of bread pudding was good as well.
We sat on the patio, because it was a beautiful day and BringFido said that the place was dog-friendly. It's a pretty nice patio, for being on the main drag of Jackson Hole, and also VERY dog friendly. The staff were very nice and our pup got a lot of care and attention. The Bison burger was quite good, especially with a big helping of sweet potato fries. A few pints of regional brew made it even better. The prices were very, very reasonable for the area and service was solid. Parking could be a chore during the busy times of the year, but we got a spot just around the corner by the entrance to the Wort Hotel, of which the Silver Dollar is a part. Neat historic building.
The food is expensive and gourmet. We went here for our anniversary and it was very nice. It's quite expensive so if you have to ask how much then probably go somewhere else. It is Jackson so nothing there is cheap unless you go to McDonald's. The food is great just not a bargain. Great atmosphere!
Now this is a great bar! Very nice after going to the "cowboy" bar.
Amazing food! Corn chowder is to die for
Food was not great. Atmosphere was just okay. Took a long time to get waited on. There are many better places in Jackson. Recommend skipping this one.
We ate at the grill. It was pricey and the food took a while to come out but the food and service was great!
My favorite place In JH
Great western feel and great food. Wonderful service makes this a must.
Had breakfast, the potatoes were terrible, cook doesn't know the difference between over easy, medium and hard eggs. Toast, pancakes, bacon and sausage were good. Old fashioned restaurant, old fashioned coffee and creamer here. Waitress was good, funny.
Ratko was a fantastic server. The wild boar, vegan squash were amazing. The Jenny Lake brew and Old Faithful ale were a perfect match. Great service and famtastic food. Must come again!
We come here every time we are in Jackson. The atmosphere is fun and energetic, the service is always good and expect the absolute best burger in town!
Staff was friendly I will give them that. But the food was subpar. For starters we had the homemade chili and salad. Salad was nice and you can tell the dressing was made in-house. Chili to us tasted like canned chili, Hormel chili. Next was the prime rib and wild boar. Prime rib was good, seasoned properly. Wild boar...dry, no seasoning, Luke warm, with an over powering sweet glaze poured. It wasn't freshly cooked, maybe precooked and microwaved for later. I honestly do not recommend the wild boar, my cousin and I were disappointed.
Just got back from Jackson. Once again this is my favorite place to eat and drink. Great food and the manager Kate really made us feel at home. She is the latest of the many outstanding employees that the restaurant and Wort hotel employs. Going back in March and can’t wait. One Ton Pig is a must see!
Beer was good, food was fresh. Service was excellent. Lots of locals dancing to some bluegrass music. Friendly environment.
Went for my husband's birthday on the BOGO day. He ordered a 38 dollar steak, but it was not the medium rare he ordered and was not one full steak, but more like 3 small pieces of steak thrown on the plate. My burger was way dry and the patty seemed small for the price. We drove an hour to have what we thought was going to be a nice dinner. Won't be going back, so not worth the price.
Filet mignon and buffalo filet. Waiter was very professional and served with a flourish. Sat on the patio. Prices were very reasonable. Very nice! Dont miss out.
Delicious food and great service from Stephanie at the Silver Dollar! We love Jackson's quaint western vibe and we're sure you will too!!
a lot of fun looking at all those silver dollars in the bar. must visit when you go to Jackson.
The food and service was outstanding! Best steak I have ever had, hands down!
What they call a lamb t-bone I call a lamb chops.
Very loud with band playing in the adjacent area. Club sandwich was very good, however and people seemed to be enjoying themselves but would be nice to have a barrier between restaurant and bar!
Corn chowder is to die for!
Onion rings were hard and overcooked. The nachos are an absolute rip off, the cheese they use sticks everything together so if you grab a chip the whole plate comes with. The silver dollar burger was just ok. Service was nice but the rest sucked.
Slo-o-ow service and cooked food came out cold. Server never came back to table. Had to walk into bar to get silverware. Go elsewhere.
Dining at the Silver Dollar Bar requires a reservation. Unfortunately their website doesn't mention this. When I asked the staff about this I got a pretentious reply. Staff create an atmosphere of exclusiveness that is inappropriate.
Silver Dollar is always worth a trip. Try it when in town.
Great place to hang out and listen to live music, watch the game, dance, drink, meet people. Awesome history...if these walls could talk. Ben, the bartender from Georgia, he is a blast to talk to and quick with a joke or to light up your smoke but there's someplace that he'd rather be! This is a must stop for an evening in Jackson.
Bar area very popular and noisy. Dining area much more sedate and same menu and beers available.
Great food and good prices for being downtown Jackson,Wyoming
Fun place a great way to get back in the saddle
We have had a fantastic time here great food great service, sad to leave well recommend
Corn Chowder..and Root Beer. Yum
We came in to check out the bar top and were pleasantly surprised by a nice selection of bourbons and a very knowledgeable bar tender. Live music and a great atmosphere. We did not eat, but the food we saw looked delicious.
Great service, interesting menu with fair prices. Smoked salmon is great.
So good we had to eat here twice for breakfast. If you are in Jackson Hole you have to eat here once.
Great food and a cool atmosphere. Large windows were opened and made you feel like you were outside. There are a few outside tables if you want to get some sun. The food was wonderful and different. I had the Elk sliders with sweet potato fries.Dad had pork loin sandwich which was so big I took a picture of.
Good service, good food. Very busy.
Got the burger and was very disappointed. It was mushy and lacked flavor. I was starved after a long hike and still didn’t want to eat it. My boyfriend liked the Rueben sandwich which is why I’m giving it 2 stars. Service was polite but slow.
Cool place to visit due to all of the history. Service was good and nachos were great, but burger and elk tips gyro were just ok.
Great drinks. Amazing bartenders!
The staff was really friendly and the food was fantastic! My husband and I can’t wait to come back!
Really enjoyed this place and will go back again for dinner. We had drinks and cheese platter when we were there.
Very nice! The smoked trout appetizer was delicious, and the Teton spritzer and Montana Mule drinks were excellent, too. The shrimp appetizer was too spicy for me, but it had a good flavor. I really wanted to eat it! Service was excellent, and the whole experience was a great way to wind down after a busy day sightseeing. Highly recommended!
Stopped in for a mango margarita and a bison burger. Both delicious.
Really nice. Good food. Good service.
Good food, excellent atmosphere
Smell so bad we turned around and left.
Nice vibe and wasn't charging a cover on a Tuesday night like million dollar cowboy bar.
We shared a buffalo burger with added blue cheese. The fries and sweet fries were yummy. Nice ambiance.
Historic bar and restaurant located downtown. Live music. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Food was good. Decent size menu.
Worst meal of our trip ! The chili tasted like it was from a can that they added ground bison to. The Club sandwich was large but, dry and boring. The coleslaw had chunks of potato salad in it and when we told our server, she just laughed and said it was funny. Manager gave us a discount on our bill but should have taken off the entire amount. We will not return here.
Great menu. Great service. A little pricey but we'll worth it
Great drinks and atmosphere
Breakfast was a 5 (delicious omelette) but lunch was a 4 at best due to very slow service
Worked in Jackson Hole and the Silver Bar in the 50's was around back then . Great place to visit see all the silver dollars covering the bar...
Awesome bar lots to look at lots to do
Went to the Silver Dollar bar with my sister and new friends for dinner and to listen to a blue grass band. A very generous lady named Charlotte, from Jefferson City, MO (sis and I are from the KC, MO area...small world) voluntarily gave up her table when she saw us looking around the packed room. She sat at the bar for the rest of her visit. The six of us sat at this small round table, ate excellent food, laughed a lot and listened to the blue grass band that has played there on Tuesday nights for the past 12 years! It was a packed house with skiers, out-of-towners, and locals. Despite the volume of orders the wait staff, bartenders, and kitchen had to deal with, service was prompt, food was delivered hot, and drinks were served quickly. Wonderful place!
Excellent food and service, along with a great atmosphere second to none in Jackson Hole.
The best cocktails we had all week during our vacation. Friendly bar staff and a good bourbon selection.
Great food, prices and wait staff. Kid friendly.
My bison burger was overcooked despite asking for it medium. We sat closer to the music bar and saw very little of our waitress since she was very busy shuttling drinks. We were there about 2 hours before the start of the band. Normally we have a good experience but not on Tuesday.
Young kitchen who are not competent at cooking good meat and our waitress gave us an attitude. There are much better restaurants in Jackson at that cost. We wont be coming back or recommending.
Wonderful experience in the middle of the day with the family or at night with your significant other. The food is always spot on and there is a wonderful selection of local and import beers available.
Closest actual local bar to town square!
Great food, beer, great band, and dancing! What's not to like?
Stop by for incredible history and service.
Great walleye dinner.. Service was scattered..2 servers and still had to ask again for a beverage and dinner extras
They were really good about my Celiac disease and provided a GF menu.
Great atmosphere in a historic hotel bar. I had great elk sliders but the service, even though we sat at the bar, was just ok.
This bar is . . . Well . . . WOW. You need to walk inside and check it out. The wood work, pine, has incredible beauty and there is a lot of it. I cant find my pictures that I took of this place which is disabling i gotta. The saddle bar stools are cool. We had a drink and prices seemed reasonable like any bar would be. The bar on the left as you enter had a lot of dollar coins in the poly. Old coins too, the ones made out of silver back in the day. A classy joint. The dinner prices looked reasonable with a couple good hearty meals available as well. Easy to find, close to the “Antler Square” area, quick walk. We got a penny squished from inside here also for my sons collection. The bar is very unique, stop in. You will not be disappointed.
Excellent food and outstanding service. Pricey
Great food, service and Atmosphere
Jerry is the man. Great bar, wonderful atmosphere, and excellent prices. If you don't enjoy kicking a few back here, go elsewhere.... nobody cares what you think.
Love this nice bar! It’s a must do when in Jackson Hole! Great band and great atmoaphere!
Great place for a drink and hang out with friends music to loud at the times
Marco was a great server and the drinks, wine and food were wonderful!
We visited this place a couple weeks ago. Good food and service. Tena was the hostess and was the absolute bomb.. she made sure our reservations were saved and secured our table. I give her five stars by herself. She made sure we were on the patio by the sidewalk in a super nice spot. John was our server, was very attentive. He was serving both sides of the patio and was loaded down but he came through.. We had the Corn chowder, it was excellent and the Arugula salad w candied rhubarb, also divine. We all had the Steelhead w crab and polenta cake, just killer. Will definitely be back, love this place.
It was really good!!! It was kind of cold inside the building but the service was great and the food was good. A little spendy but good
Wonderful atmosphere and a terrific cocktail for a reasonable price
This place is five star because of a perfect combination. Great country vibe, great service, good food and just a place that you should visit. Note Tuesday night's you can catch great blue grass.
Incredible and amazing and awesome are not accurate for how great the breakfast is here. Best meal of my life! Beth, the server, is warm and welcoming. She's lived in Jackson 38 years, her children & grandchildren are born here, and she has great local suggestions. The facility is rustic yet elegant. Great location near the Jackson square. Now the food, the western skillet is phenomenal - its elk and buffalo with eggs, potatoes, and grilled tomatoes. The pancakes compliment the meal well. And the florentine benedict is divine. Perfect breakfast for those who wake up late on vacation, they serve until 11am. We were referred here by numerous patrons and local guides, and I'm so glad they did!
GREAT FISH, FOOD AWESOME
Pretty neat set up!
Must visit this historic bar.
Satisfying if not memorable breakfast with so, so service. Really shouldn't need to wait for coffee and the have an empty cup for most of the meal. The Wort should do better...
My favorite bar
I did not enjoy the food or service here. I asked for a well done steak and got one cooked medium and that is being generous. The waitstaff was basically absent during my meal but showed up promptly 45 minutes later with the bill. I would say overall it wasn't great and I won't be back.
Great drink and meal specials
Wonderful experience! The fried mushrooms are actually huge mushrooms, not tons of fried batter. The portion sizes were large and the food was delicious! Our server was very friendly and efficient. The prices were great (especially considering some of the neighboring establishments). We enjoyed our lunch and would certainly come back!
Get the full order of tacos and 2 elk burgers if you're REALLY hungry. The half order of tacos is small. The elk sliders really fill you up.
This place is phenomenal. Every bite melts into your mouth. I'm afraid this establishment is far too underrated.
Yee-haw to the silver dollar bar!! Attached to the historic Wort hotel. This place gets crowded at night and on weekends! Live music sometimes. Great beer selection. Maybe slightly pricey, but not any more than every other place in town. I recommend the Melvin IPA. And the potato bacon soup was creamy awesomeness!!
A delicious steak dinner in a very pleasant atmosphere. Friendly service, located in the Wort Hotel.
