The fact that this establishment is still in business is beyond absurd. Aside from the fact that there were no prices advertised or menu to look at, the food had been sitting out for many hours when I arrived with a group of friends. The service was lacking and the restaurant itself seemed grungy and unclean. After having eaten a plate of undesirable, undercooked, and overpriced food, I spent the next three days with food poisoning. I would advise eating elsewhere. This particular restaurant is disgusting.

Probably the worst chinese buffet I have been to. Everything looked like the same leftover cubes of meat. Nothing had vegetable in it and if they did they were no longer recognizable. Granted I went at 3 in the afternoon but I don't think it is too much to expect something fresh. There was a pretty steady stream of people through the door but nothing coming from the kitchen.

If you go early (11am) everything is fresh on their steam table. Yesterday, however, their sushi rolls were suspect. I spit out a salmon bite which definitely tasted "off". Another had a tempura-coated piece of shrimp inside, meaning that they had taken leftover shrimp from yesterday's Buffet and made that particular sushi roll. The staff is never friendly; they "tolerate" their customers, at best. I enjoy their soups and stir-fry items.

Unsure how this place could have ANY good reviews. Went in on a Saturday night, and yet the food still seemed like it had been out for days. There was a tiny selection of food, and what they had was disgusting. The egg drop soup had a dried egg tumor on the side of the tureen, the shrimp in the shrimp tempura roll had a leathery, beef jerky texture (I was unaware shrimp could reach this texture) and proved impossible to tear apart, the lo mein noodles were soggy and tasted like toenails, the potstickers were dried and crunchy... I couldn't eat anything. They didn't have the price advertised anywhere, and ended up being charged an outrageous amount for what we got.

The eat-in experience is fantastic for an American pallet Chinese restaurant. I love the buffet here, definitely the best in town! I love the convenience of the online order for delivery, but I wish they had some more options! Especially on the appetizers/desserts end. I'd love to see the teriyaki chicken on a stick and the fried donuts for delivery! If there was a bit more variety, then the minimum $15 for delivery would be acceptable and I could give 5 stars easily!

Truthfully, this place deserves no stars what so ever. Roommate and I ordered pickup from them for our weekly game night, it was the biggest waste of 20 dollars ever. The fried rice wasn't fried and had nothing but onion in it, and both the chicken in the fried rice my roommate got looked like it had been boiled and the beef and brocolli I got was nasty. The beef was nothing but stringy fat and neither dish had any flavor. It wasn't even worthy of being fed to the dog. We threw it out after a few bites and ordered pizza. Don't waste your money on this place.

Oof. So good, I'm not hungry for breakfast this next morning! Everything was flavorful and there was lots of sea food to be had. I would avoid the crab legs though. Everything else was delicious! Pro tip: I believe the family running the restaurant is Japanese so be very polite and hand them, and receive with two hands.

Keep driving from this place, service was absolutely horrible & food was cold. There was only 3 tables being used in here & five staff members & could not get service they where watching TV. There was crab legs on the bar & I had to ask for the crackers & we where given 1 pair and was told "you share". We made a point to remember this restaurant as we where traveling through area again so we will not be stopping here.

High prices for garbage tasting food. Don't get the egg rolls. They are terrible. One star is too many. Nothing will be like you expected. Wanted a to go tea with my to go order and was told they don't provide to go cups. Smhh. Never again will I eat here. I literally threw away 15 dollars worth of food. Could not feed it to a dog. Tried till give it to another guy's dog at the truck stop. The guy thought he would try it. He said he loved his dog enough not to do that. Smhh. Straight trash.

Why cant you leave zero stars. Found egg shells in chicken fried rice I gave some to my one year old. All the lady said when I took it back was sorry. I had to ask for money back. :( NO CHINESE FOR A WHILE.

I have been here 2 times and i loved it !!! Bt this time i just order 2 house special fried rice, and wasnt the best... Big pieces of the onion and cabbage was not good... Rice wasnt cooked fully and gave me a bad stomach ache

I'm giving it one star because less than one star isnt an option. Very poor selection of food. The little bit they DID have, looked like it had been there for a few hours. Decided to try it anyways and I spit the food back onto the plate and left. One bite. That's all I took and I walked out. I'd avoid this place unless you like stale, crispy chicken that has sat out for a while. Definitely the worst chinese place I've been to.

Hong Kong Buffet has now gotten new management! The couple that is now managing it is a very nice couple, and did a really good job of cleaning up the place. The food is really good, and this is my favorite place in Laramie for Chinese food. There are about 30 choices of food, such as chickens, crab wantons, and noodles. They have the best crab wantons and the best egg drop soup. I know that Hong Kong Buffet has a bad reputation, but it seems like they are really working to turn it around. Defiantly worth stopping in!

Wow don't let the exterior fool you! This is a nice clean place with many menu varieties(best variety in Laramie) and the food is great! The new management and staff are very friendly and nice. If you are looking for good Chinese food in Laramie look no further!

Took a gamble at getting some good chinese food and lost bug time. Half the food was mislabeled, a third was setting in water, 90% was visibly old, and all of that I tasted was the worst chinese food I've eaten. To make it worst my stomach was in knots for hours afterwards. Service was fine. My recommendation to the owners is to tour other highly rated Chinese buffets around the country. Find out why your food tastes nasty. Sorry to have to write this review. Read my other reviews I rarely get this disappointed.

I go there maybe 2x a month, and my favorite is the fried rice and dumplings (pot stickers). Recently they started doing their sushi really well and I've been very happy with their American rolls, like the California roll or the Philly roll.

I used to love this place. But the last 2 times I've been there, the food has been horrible! The meat was like chewey rubber. The sauces were thick and gelatinous. The Rangoon's and egg rolls were dry and tough. Very disappointed! As we were leaving the last time, my oldest son looked at me and said, "Mom, I'm sorry you just wasted $80 on that meal! That was HORRIBLE!"

We went for lunch yesterday and everything except the soup was cold. The food looked fresh and everything was clean but the food from the buffet was cold to the touch. We took 2 bites and left. When I told the staff as we paid for our gross meal, they offered no apology and we still paid full price for the 2 bites we ate. We immediately left to go to Anong's so that we could have an edible meal. We will not be returning.

This is by far the worst food I have ever had! The "chicken" tasted like it had been cooked 12 hours earlier and just sat all day. Even the rice was bad.... how do you mess up rice! But the one thing that makes me so mad, is that it wasn't cheap.... at all! For a family of four it was very very expensive, and we just had to throw it into the trash!

This is the most disgusting restaurant. Check the bathrooms, peek into the kitchen *shudder*. The food is never hot and the place smells terrible. We've tried it on a couple different occasions and the last time, we didn't even stay - why they are still open is beyond me. The health inspector is either being fooled or hasn't been here. My son had gotten sick every time he's been here as well- only twice and not again.

Im not so sure about No.1 buffet, maybe like No. 5 buffet. The sushi was good and fresh. But everything else was kinda blah. Some dishes were to sweet, to much sugar in the sauces. They did keep alot of fresh dishes coming on the buffet. I would go back, for the sushi only.

Of coarse I wasn't expecting top notch dining given it's location and overall appearance. The food wasn't bad, but some dishes were clealry left out too long and pretty dry. The waitress and hostess was too distracted by the television in the dining area to notice when I needed a refill or when I was ready for the check. It's cheap, so I suppose you get what you pay for here.

The food was mediocre at best. There were several items that were empty and never refilled on the buffet. They had crab legs but nothing to crack them with. They had another crab dish that was either over cooked or left out too long so that it was hard and difficult to eat. I saw them take food off the buffet and package it for delivery too. I will not be going back.

OH. MY. GODS. I honestly do not know how I didn't know that No. 1 Buffet does delivery up until tonight, but now that I do, you better believe that I won't be wasting any more money on New Mandarin for my Chinese food cravings from here on out. I already love No. 1 Buffet's in-house experience, mind you. Their food is DELICIOUS and the staff are amazing and sweet. Tonight my roommate and I were craving Egg Drop Soup like you wouldn't believe. Saw (as earlier mentioned) that No. 1 delivers (SQUEE!!), and ordered 2 things of that, the Chicken w/garlic sauce for my boys, Egg Foo Young for my roommate, & Fried Cheese Wontons for me. Did I mention the "OH. MY. GODS." yet? The Egg Drop Soup fulfilled that craving PERFECTLY!! (New Mandarin's idea of Egg Drop Soup is to add tomatoes and cucumbers to it >.< Ew), my roommate was ECSTATIC with the Egg Foo Young, my boys absolutely RAVED about the Chicken w/Garlic Sauce, and my Fried Cheese Wontons are the best I've gotten to have in YEARS!!! Seriously, I'm sitting here completely stuffed with the happiest tummy I've had from Chinese food in a long time! Thank you so much to the wonderful people at No. 1 Buffet!! You guys made our night with your delicious food! <3

It's $12 dollars for all you can eat and the owners work so hard to prepare the food. The atmosphere is quiet so I can eat until I hate myself in peace. I love this place but have to take a long look in the mirror when I get home and say "you did this to yourself".

The only good thing about the food was the price - cheap for large portions! well, you get what you pay for I suppose and 2 hours later both my husband and I are down with food poisoning since Saturday night and I'm still suffering , it takes alot for my husband to get stomach sick .(it's now 2 days later and I am still sick!) The food was tasteless and aftertaste of fat, the lo mein was dire, greasy, chicken was watery rubbery and no taste of anything, not even the vegetables could shine through. The sweet and sour chicken - the chicken was non existent inside after it was over fried - or more likely refried to warm it up from lunch? actually all of our order was probably this way we love using all local restaurants but extremely disappointed with a 'chain' and shall never go there again They are being slaughtered on Yelp If you want a fantastic meal, decent fresh food then go to the best Chinese restaurant in town - The New Mandarin on 3rd

I was going to give 2 stars for their good selection of foods, until I opened my ‘fortune’ cookie... an even bigger disappointment after eating iffy food is opening a fortune-less fortune cookie. There are far better buffets in Laramie than “No 1” Buffet.

I so wish I had read reviews before we ate there. The pop was out of syrup and when I told her she just dumped our drinks and went and sat back down. Food was absolutely terrible and I'm praying to god that my family of 4 doesn't get sick.

The food was appalling. While there was a variety, the quality was very poor. The crab legs were undercooked. The pot stickers were passable. The sushi was poorly displayed and not very appetizing. There were no prices posted anywhere, which was extremely annoying. The price for the food we received was ridiculous. A very unsatisfying meal that I could not keep down. I will never eat here again.

I ate here yesterday and it was disgusting!!! Most of the food is dry and looks old. Especially the full shrimps. The crabs legs are ok but you have to crack them with your hands. They have very little selection. Plus they have little food out. So I wouldn’t call this good. I would give it -5 stars if I could. Do not go here!! Go somewhere else!!!!!

Quite honestly wish I could give it no stars. I stopped by a couple of months ago to get out of the cold after my bike broke. I sat down and literally just asked for a glass of water. I was trying to call a ride for myself and was told to leave the premises. They literally told me they were going to call the cops unless I got food. Probably one of the most inhospital places in town.

Smelled like rotten fish, the food was either cold or dried out from being cooked and re-cooked, Dr. Pepper did not taste right, was not offered a refill, was given one set of silverware for me and my son and was not brought a second set when I requested, bathroom full of dust and dirt, bathroom door handle covered in grease, no soap in the bathroom. Charged $16 for me and my 2 year old son. Needs a visit from the health department.

Food was fair to poor. It's a buffet and diners shouldn't expect 4 star food, but even by Chinese buffet standards this was bad. Pork egg roll was inedible, fried rice had dime sized pieces of raw onion in it, sweet and sour pork was like jerky. I would pass if I were you.

Walked in and ordered drinks we was given the wrong drinks and tried stopping the waitress to let her know we didn't get the drinks we wanted but she didn't even slow down walking away. Never will I eat here again horrible place

5 of us went in last night and none of us were impressed. I think this is the worst chinese buffet I have ever been to. We went in Sunday night about 7. Crab was cold, even though it was in a steam tray, other food was ok, but not great. The potstickers were good(think they were the same ones you get at Costco from the freezer). Second plate was mostly fruit and cucumbers(with more potstickers) While we were there I don't remember seeing any of the food being refreshed, even though there were about 18 people there.
