A very weird experience. We may have been there on an off day, but stopped for lunch while driving through and there was basically only 2 people working in the entire place - the cook and one waiter. The waiter seemed extremely frazzled, didn't know the menu, and took a long time to work with us (but he was polite). The cook ended up taking our orders. Food was OK. Limited vegetarian options, but there are some.

We had the special: BBQ ribs, choice of potatoe, grilled squash(fresh not frozen) and homemade bread, choice of soup or salad, $15.99. It was such a big portion of falling off the bone tender vinegar based BBQ thick ribs, my husband and I are both taking half of the ribs home. Excellent service also.

There was a disgruntled (intoxocated) man who was unhappy...and telling the waitress and other patrons ALL about it while we were there for lunch but we were certainly satisfied with our meal. The service was fast and friendly. Even with enough time to get all the way back across town in our lunch hour. Food is always excellent. Never before have i noticed the French fries served on the extremely light side. Even meals served at other tables came on the large serving plate but only maybe 10-12 fries per person. Definately would not have filled a large appetite or be good to plan on sharing the French fries. Maybe they were low that day.

Food was not good at all. Ordered the chicken parmesan and soup, couldnt have a salad waitress said she had to comp 3 meals that day due to bad salads. Waitress said my meal was a good choice, in the end I couldn't tell you if it was or not. My meal arrived and it was chicken marsala witch contained chicken that tasted old/spoiled the pasta was very blan and less than appetizing was able to eat vey little of it. Which was unfortunate I felt a 20 dollar meal should come with more than just lemonade and garlic bread that one can eat. Would not recommend this place to any one.

Service was terrible , they were out of orange juice , out of tomato juice at 11am . We waited over 20 minutes for our order , but the people that came in 10 minutes behind us got their order us . We finally got the pancakes part of the order , but they were burnt on the outside and raw in the middle and they were still cooking the rest of the order

I might have given two starts but it was my birthday and I looked forward to returning for more than a year because of how amazing our food and service was the first time. This time was the worst service I have ever had. She had no idea how to wait tables. I had to ask her to make our salads after already waiting a half hour. Then our food came out and she blamed the kitchen for cooking too fast. Then... Our chicken was rock hard and not even edible. I don't like writing reviews let alone a bad ones, but everything has gone down hill and to say I was disappointed in my birthday dinner is an understatement.

I used to love lews not so much now. My daughter and I went there last night my daughter ordered chicken chow mein and her chicken was raw, and when I showed the waitress she admitted the chicken looked weird also. She offered to make a new one.. NO! Thanks. my daughter didn't eat any more of it yet we were charged for it. I ordered a steak so needless to say I didn't get much of because I shared with my hungry kid who couldn't eat her own dinner.

The food was excellent especially considering the price was low. Our waitress however was very rude and gave my girlfriend and I insolent looks as if serving us was beneath her. Her attitude did not improve throughout the meal. If you have a problem with your compensation, take it up with your employer. Do not take it out on your customers.

We arrived with a party of 6, and patiently for a table. They were not busy, only 3 tables of guests, but appeared to have only one waitress. She kept saying she'd be right with us, but never seated us. She became increasing rude each time she talked to us. After 10 minutes of waiting, we left. The service was already horrible, I was sure the food wasn't going to be any better. 25 years ago, my grandparents took me here for dinner on a weekly basis, one of my favorite restaurants in town at the time. Now, I'll never go back.

So... I'm from the CA bay area... After a week so far in Rock Springs, I was shocked to find Lew's. My salad was actual mixed greens - fresh even! The steak was perfectly medium rare, and although it came with too much blue cheese it easily could have been great without. The atmosphere was pleasant and rather tastefully done. The bar tender was MORE than generous - I order Crown "neat" and got a glass with at least 4 shots in it... $6(!?!?!)

Interesting - must be a local favorite for the 4+ rating. We ate there while passing through to Utah, on 8/1/17. Place was mostly empty. We should have gone on to somewhere else. I would only recommend the Chicken Pesto Panini or other sandwich there, something that my son ordered and said was very tasty. I ordered the Singapore Chow Mein, something claimed to be an "Original family recipe since 1987." The appearance and taste made me think I had a plate of the "original" from 1987. Steer clear. My wife ordered the Chef Salad. It would have been okay if only the ham, turkey, Swiss and cheddar had not been cut in long strips making it only suitable for a sandwich and not a salad.

08-19-2018 When we arrived we were ignored and left standing in the doorway until we finally had to ask if we needed to seat ourselves. It then took over five minutes for anyone to come and offer us menus or water. We were left looking at menus for a long time before anyone came to take our orders. Then the waitress brought my father the wrong soup and neglected to serve my mother and I our soup at all. We reminded her of it when she delivered our orders. My mother was served the wrong entree. While the food here is quite good, it certainly did NOT make up for such rude, slovenly and slow service. I won't be coming back of my own free will. Also, the floors are so sticky I'm scared to imagine what might have been spilled.

The food was really good and presented really well, especially the crab rangoons. The only problem was it took a really long time. Apparently you can't order an appetizer while you are deciding on the rest of your order. Everything has to be put in at the same time. When the food was finally ready, our order came out a few plates at a time and a few minutes apart. It took almost 10 minutes from receiving our first entree to receive our last and there were only 7 of us and no one else in the restaurant. To sum it up, good food if you aren't in a hurry and don't mind eating at different times.

We've been here twice. They were out of supplies for 2 different cocktails my husband tried to order so he gave up and ordered a beer. The entrees are delicious, but the molten lava cake was a frozen pound cake served cold with chocolate drizzle. It was so freezer burned that I was grateful I had beverage remaining to wash away the taste and I asked them to remove it from my check and had them take it away. The server who made my martini had never made one and it was half the size of the one I ordered the first time I went. When I told her she thanked me for letting her know and she still charged me full price for half the drink. If I'm only going to order an entree I would come back, but I eat out for the experience. I probably won't be back. Update A year later I thought I'd give them another try... worst meal plan ever. We ordered 45 minutes ago and they just came out with our soup, our first order of drinks had no alcohol all the way around. My very first experience here was amazing. That seems like a fluke. I've been here 4 times with only 1 good experience. I have no idea how this place is still in business. The wait staff tries very hard, but they are definitely not set up for success. Too bad.

The food is good and cultured for such a small town. Family owned. The owner’s family give great service when they’re around, but everyone should know that finding good help is hard. The atmosphere, and menu are top par. Any wait for food at Lew’s is worth while.

The food here is good but I cant tell you how many time this place has closed down and reopened. But what I hate the most is their customer service. While I am sitting here rate now I have already been here for an hour and we waited 15 minutes to order our drinks the appetizers and dinners came out before our drinks besides mine she forgot to place the order as well as forgot to bring is our drinks. And I watched an elderly couple come in and wait to be seated they stood there for 20 minutes before they walked out. While the couple were waiting both waitresses and the bartender were standing behind the bar talking, needless to say the only thing good about this place is the food and cleanliness is standard.

Ordered a panini, got a regular sandwich with its cheese cold and meat partially burnt. Please guys, you fancy yourself a restaurant, and a panini press is not that expensive. Why even put something on the menu you are not equipped to make?
