Prairie Rose is amazing. The food is great and despite almost always being packed, the service is very attentive. The food is always fresh and hot. The food is fairly priced as you get very large portion (the Three Meat Breakfast Burrito is enormous). I just wish it was open for dinner.

I love this place. The cinnamon rolls there are the best. Let me explain that we have 4 kids. The idea of going to a small place like this always worries me. Not at this place. They have a ton of room in the back. The staff there is awesome. We will continue to eat there everytime we are in Laramie.

Amazing lil diner. Went for breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Decent price. Can get filled up quickly, especially on weekend mornings. As its a smaller diner be prepared to possibly have a wait to be seated. Well worth it though.

Usually have a great experience here, some hick ups here and there, like with any restaurant. It's kind of annoying when trying to place a take out order and you're put on hold (just setting the phone on the counter) for 6 minutes and hear other orders be put in during that time. If you want to try this place, go in and eat. Take out seems to be lacking in care.

Best. Pancakes. Ever! And I've had a lot of pancakes elsewhere, but these were the best, seriously. Even my boyfriend who hates things off the griddle loved them!!! Everywhere I go I try diner food, in search of the best anywhere. So far, this is the best I've had. The food is amazing! I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich, another thing I try everywhere, and the chocolate creme pie. The Philly was the best I've had in my life, ever, of 20+ places I've tried it, and I've never had a better diner pie. I'd go out of my way to eat here again.

One of those quintessential small town diners. So my knowledge the old one burned down/was damaged when there was a fire or gas explosion downtown, which caused the 'tooth gap' in the row of downtown buildings. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait, especially around game days, but because of Wyomings small size, it's never an issue. Get the breakfast burrito, smothered, everytime.

Good food. Good service. NOT 5 STARS, but a solid 4. I ate a late breakfast (around 9:30) and it was crowded whenI walked in. They put me in the back room, which was surprisingly quiet. I was actually impressed with how quickly they served me and brang my order considering the number of customers. The food (steak and eggs) was cooked exactly as I requested it. The portions were not very large, but as expected. Prices were reasonable but not as cheap as some reviews make it out to be ($4 for a large glass of orange juice isn't cheap). If the portions were larger or the prices slightly lower I could have easily given five stars. But five stars, in my opinion, should be reserved for places that get it all right AND 'exceed' reasonable expectations for some reason most reviewers think five stars are deserved just because a place doesn't screw things up (places that are a bit better than average do not deserve the exact same rating as places that completely excel). The staff here, all of them, that were on hand when I went in definitely deserve credit for cooking the food well and quick and friendly service.

Eggs are always fresh. Hash browns are always crisp and barely greasy. Pancakes are fluffy and sweet. Coffee is pretty basic but the staff always provide the necessities to make it more tolerable. By far one of my favorite spots in Laramie!

My wife and I live in Laramie and wanted to take my father in law to breakfast. Shortly after we finished our meals, we spent a few minutes catching up and to take a break as he had driven all the way from the east coast in the past couple days. The waitress told us that we needed to leave the restaurant to make room for more people. I have never had such a dining experience before. I’ve eaten here before without a problem, but I absolutely won’t eat here again.

We were on a road trip from Denver to Jackson Hole, WY and was so impressed with this place that we stopped there on the way there AND back a few days later. Avoid the fast food stuff off the interstate - drive an extra mile down this way!

In town, visiting my son, who has recently moved to Laramie, and we were exploring the downtown area. J's Prairie Rose was recommended by another local and did not disappoint! I ordered the breakfast burrito and was quickly digging in to a great and filling meal. A bottomless cup of coffee topped off a great experience!

Just what I was looking for. Came through town on a long road trip and stopped here based on reviews. Service was great. Kids had sausage gravy with biscuits and an omelet. Both were decent, but not special. The burrito, on the other hand, was amazing. My wife and I actually split it. I would have totally eaten the whole thing myself and picked the plate clean, but I can only imagine the calories in that glorious plate of food. Go burrito or go home. You will not regret it.
