Worst meal I've had in a month long road trip! We ordered sweet fries for an appetizer and they were burnt. My well-done burger was still very pink in the middle(disgusting) and the french fries that came with the burger were also burnt, but even worse, they were cold and hard! My entire meal was unsatisfactory.

The smoked wings are a must. They smoke them, fry them and slap them on your plate with your choice of sauce. I had some Parmesan garlic and mango habanero. Both were excellent. The beer selection is good and you can order up a 32 oz Ball jar of suds. My coworker had a deep fried burger, crazy.

Ordered a burger and it came out on a big pretzel bun but the burger was about the size of a mcdouble patty. For a $10 burger it was basically a bread sandwich. My friend got the chicken and it was tiny and drowned in sauce. Probably won't be going back anytime soon unless I hear they are at least as good as they used to be.

The worst part of every time I go, is having to decide which amazing thing to get! We always love whatever we order. Only downside is that sometimes service is slow, but only because it's busy enough that everyone is running around, but always really nice and good service (even of a little slow)

If you could only eat in one place in Laramie, this is the place to be. Reasonable prices and quick service for the best food in town. Be aware: There almost always is a wait to get a table. However, once you sit down and order, service is very fast. If they say there is a 30 minute wait, take it.

What a great local place. So glad we stopped! I had wings that were smoked and so yummy. Also had a Chicago dog with their fries. The the hot dog bun and everything was really good. My eating companion had a burger and enjoyed it and the onion rings, as well. The service was outstanding. Even though the place seemed to be super packed and we came during a busy time, our server was fantastic. Thanks Jackson. We will definitely stop back in and recommend this place.

Good beer, good wings, good sauces, good service, good ambiance (we sat outside on the back patio). The four of us really liked our meal here and expressed that we were sad that the closest of us to this restaurant would have over an hour drive to get here. If you like sauce and want to give as many a try (they have 17 different kinds) a flight is the way to go. You can get 12 or 18 wings plus 6 sauces (which are served on the side). We ordered the regular and smoked wings and the smoked were perfect on their own (for those not a fan of sauce – crazy people!). My surprise favorite flavors were Happy Buffalo (classic mild buffalo sauce with a touch of sweet citrus), peanut butter and jelly, mango habanero, and pineapple sriracha. They had a nice selection of beer on tap and we had a couple that were great and our server was very helpful and friendly. We are from out of town, but if we find ourselves back in Laramie, we plan to stop by!

Born in a Barn is probably my favorite restaurant in Laramie. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly. In the summer, there is a little patio out back that's quite pleasant. The sleeper item on the menu is the garden salad; it's not exactly healthy, but the addition of breaded chicken tossed in wing sauce makes it a winner. The final influencing factor for my rating is that this is the unofficial Husker bar in Laramie; we've met some fun nebraskans and husker fans while down there watching the games.

I enjoy their menu options and atmosphere but i can't give the 5th star due to some factors, it took about 10 minutes to be greeted by our waitress who was very nice but I feel as though the business would do better if they checked in on the their tables more frequently. We were ready to leave for 15 minutes before were finally able to ask for our check. Overall a great place to go, and I'm sure there has to be other reasons for the shortcomings of this visit.

I was a big fan of the fried pickles. The fry sauce is good, especially if you like sweeter fry sauce. But I didn't really like the fries. They were shriveled like they were too old or something. The burgers were good, but the buns were a little more moist than I would like.

I hate to do this but it was asked for. I made a complaint to management and was asked to give them another try and I have.. twice. Went into the restaurant with 4 other people. I was the only one not drinking alcohol and felt completely ignored. I got my food and was left with an empty water glass, soggy fries, cold wings, and mac and cheese that was so bland that it made Kraft look like 5 star dining. All while the other guests at my table had gotten refills on drinks and beer. Guess they were more important? I thought hmm maybe just an odd day. So last night I made a to-go order for 3 people. Took only 20 minutes which I thought was pretty decent for a Friday night. We got no silverware, no napkins, and no taste. The only thing I could eat were the veggies that come with the wings. Over cooked chicken that was like biting into rocks, mac and cheese that tasted like rubber and completely bland, and fries that were cold and soggy. The other 2 people I got food for had the same issues and just threw all their food away. One even said to me how this place has gone downhill lately. I use to love this place and would always recommend it to people from out of town. But I wouldn't dare tell someone to eat here now.

Outstanding food, by far the best burger (mac down) I've had. Great fries and sides, too. Friends have raved about this spot, their fries, barnchos, and mac. Getting a spot can be difficult, but well worth it. They also have an online order option, which is convenient for a small town restaurant.

Went in for lunch with my wife and daughter, when we walked in, they informed us that the heater was cutting in and out, and if we didn't want to stay we did not have to. We decided to stay, I'm sure to their dismay, because my wife was craving their chicken, we were the only ones who came in and stayed, and they closed right after we left. Beside us being there at a very bad time for them, they did not rush us, nor were rude. Food came out excellent, and service was great.

How incredible this place is! On a corner near the rail line, this has a very unassuming facade. It was crowded with a wide variety of people. We enjoyed some wings followed by burgers. I had one of the best blue cheese bacon burgers I've ever had. Exceptionally delicious! This restaurant is a must-do in Laramie.

The burgers are small, they over charge for side sauces, I didn’t order ranch and got a side anyways that was also split all over my veggies for the burger. This is what made me give the worst review because I am lactose intolerant. I ordered my burger without cheese on purpose. The server was great but she should’ve noticed I didn’t order ranch and fixed the appearance.

IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, YOU CAN LEAVE! Chose to try this restaurant after asking a good friend of ours who lives in Laramie for a new, hip place to try out downtown. We arrived around 11:00 and were the only guests there. The server wanted to squeeze 5 of us into a small 4 person booth. When I asked her if our 2 teenagers could just sit at the 2 person booth directly across from us, she said no and then had the manager come over. She said not on game day. Then I explained to her that it was going to be on separate checks anyway, she said confusingly they wouldn't split the checks that way. Then she told us that "IF WE DIDN'T LIKE IT WE COULD LEAVE", referring to the seating of 5 people in a 4 top booth. So, that is exactly what we did, enjoying a great meal with exceptional service at a nearby reastaurant, ALTITUDE!

What a nice surprise we found. My mom in law wanted a burger, I googled “burgers”. This is what popped up. We decided to check it out. We were seated immediately, no wait. What a great meal. The burgers were some of the best we have ever had. The smoked chicken wings, with Asiago garlic were to die for. Staff was so kind & friendly. I highly recommend Born in a Barn.

We had a wonderful experience here. My group of 8 sat at 2 booths, 4 adults in one and 4 kids in the other. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. She knew exactly what to do to take care of the kiddos and readily addressed a food allergy issue for us to make sure my son's meal was safe for him to eat. The food was great too. You can definitely taste the fresh meat used in the burgers from a local butcher shop and the PB&J wing sauce delivered on its taste promise. Great casual joint!

I have had good experiences at Born in a Barn before. However, I went there on a Sunday night and had a few problems. Nothing was wrong with the service, our server was great, but our food was terrible. My fries were cold, and the Mac and cheese on my burger was basically just noodles (hardly any cheese at all). My friends and I all ordered a bunch of different sauces and they came out on the wrong plates. One of my friend’s food got ranch spilled all over when she didn’t order ranch (because she doesn’t like it) but got it on her plate anyway. Also I didn’t get a sauce on my burger that I ordered and I know my server put the order in right because I was charged for it. Super disappointed. Back of the house needs to step it up.

The food portion was tiny and the quality was terrible. This place used to be great, but now they've cut the size of the burgers in half. However, they still charge the same amount as before. In addition, the fries were burnt. A complete waste of time and money.

Be sure to wear your barn attire, Carharts and snow boots, earmuffs optional in order to hear the snippy server, say "too bad" about the air conditioning running full blast on a 30 degree day. Hard to enjoy the food after that starter.
