This Restaurant corresponds to the category of American restaurant.
Poor service, expensive for what it is, not good food. I had the porterhouse, medium rare, and it was soo overcooked it came out white... Like chicken not steak. Would recommend going anywhere else but here.
This is one of the best spots for a large party celebration or quiet dining. Has a golf course in a forested setting and one of the premiere views in the area. The catering staff is experienced in serving large groups and manages to move among the guest with ease and efficiency. The large indoor dining area can be divided to allow for smaller groups to be accommodated easily. The well stocked bar allows guest to enjoy outdoor seating on a large porch and patio. Much to recommend it.
Wonderful scenery and food! Best part, they can make an excellent dirty martini! Highly recommended for atmosphere.
Food was edible I suppose. Service was disappointing
Good food and service
a classic supper club that still delivers a great tasty dinner and of course great old fashioneds.
Beautiful setting, great food &service.
Great food here, our service was fantastic! I'll return
The food was outstanding but the bartender was not friendly. We sat with empty glasses which I know she saw that because I saw her look at our empty glasses a couple times. When I asked her if we could have another drink she rudely responded, “you have to wait there’s a lot of people ahead of you”. Continued to wait and then she starts cleaning glasses. I had to ask again for a drink and she responded, “oh you want another drink?”... I guess she only bartends once a week which is one to many. Other then that the waitress was good and so was our food.
Great atmosphere. Good super club environment
The place is gorgeous, the food is decent but overpriced and be ready to wait up to 1:45 min for your food. Service is extremely SLOW and bad. On top of that they made a mistake with the check and when we asked them to fix it they took another 20 min.
Very, very nice dining experience. Casual or dressy, this resort is a great choice. Food is really very good, and the decor and ambulance is is very inviting and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and professional.
Early Mothers day dinner last night. Prime rib, so good! Love Timmer's
Very good. Staff is great
Great ambiance. "Ce-dar Lake is the place in the summer time." Parking isn't exactly easy because it gets so busy.
Always great food and great atmosphere
Very good food, and a wonderful view.
Great food, service and atmosphere!
Pleasant patio dining on a summer afternoon with views of Big Cedar lake. Had an excellent burger and fries. I heard the Friday fish fry is also tasty.
Excellent spot for brunch. food and service are 4 starts but that fifth star comes from the beautiful deck and surroundings!
Amazing Friday night fish fry
Fabulous food and attentive service. Worth the price.
The fillet was excellent! We will be back!
Great food!! Fancy but very casual. Fireplace is amazing. A bit pricey, but you'll know where your extra dollars went.
I have to counter some of the negative fish fry comments. First, the bartenders that were there on that night were youngish, and super attentive. I appreciate that when most of the clientele is olderish. Ha. My dad has a habit of talking random strangers ears off, and for the first time, every one of them seemed receptive to it. My point is, despite the grand appearance, this place still felt approachable. I'm just a working class guy in my 30s. If I wanted some fried cod I'd go to any bar anywhere around Wash/Oz Co. We didn't want that. I had the scallops, my dad tried snails for the first time ever, and we all had a great time. Sadly I forgot the other two dishes, but they were both fish and were enjoyed. We got there around 5 and stuck around until about 6:30 when there was a little wait we could see forming. Fortunately there is wonderful bar. Though, know that it's going to cost you 1-2$ more for the same drink than it does at a dive. Because you're not at one! Food is good, service was great the three times I've been there, and the prices are just a little higher than I'd like. But there is a wait - to pay more. There is a reason for that. If you want an 8$ frozen deep fried slab of mystery fish, don't go here. Simple. I'll take a "fish brick" once in a while, but if we're looking for something more, this place is top 5 for sure. So much so, we made Easter brunch reservations before we left. Looking forward to it. Update: my family continues to use Timmers as our go-to for holidays. Thanksgiving and Easter are great, as well just the Sunday brunch. Literally have never been let down here. That's pretty incredible - every time, perfect service and food. Again, the price is just a scootch higher than I'd personally like to pay, lol, but we continue to "drive all the way out there" and pay it. I do wish there was a more direct lake access, or some sort of walk to enjoy the area. Still, pretty sweet real wood fire pit patio. Great bar. Real wood indoor fireplaces. Just neat place.
Best Friday fish fry great price too
Love this place. Friendly staff, great food and reasonable drink prices.
Food was very good. Service could have been better especially given the price of the dinners.
Excellent fish
Wish I would have found this place sooner! I now don’t need to travel 4+ hours north to find an amazing fish fry either!
Always an excellent dinning experience. I love the historic feel of the building, the top-notch service, and great food. $$$
Beautiful location, great food!
Beautiful setting. Great bar and food. Our group had a wonderful time.
Only been there on fridays for fish the food is excellent service is good and the place is asom can't go wrong but it is very busy
Terrific fish fry. The corn flake encrusted cod was excellent.
The best spot to enjoy a lake view, delightful food, and famous old fashions and wonderful drinks!
Family wedding - it was perfect! Food was fabulous - appetizers and meal. Atmosphere was beautiful.
We went there as a company outing. I had the rack of ribs and sampled the mac n cheese and the walleye. The food tasted great going down, but I became ill that night. I thought maybe it was a coincidence, but our party, especially those who had the walleye were not feeling good as well afterwards. If you order any meats, check them over. I don't know if I would ever go back....
Our experience was great. A hot and humid Wisconsin summer evening was a very relaxing night. Service was exceptional and the food was awesome.
Great atmosphere. Talk an after dinner walk by the water and spend time in the swing. Splendid place to be amazed by fireflies.
Great meal. Warm and cozy atmosphere. We'll be back.
Great food & great service
Friendly staff, great food, and their holiday brunches are amazing!
Wonderful people serving wonderful food and outstanding ambiance.
Was there for a service call for the kitchen and I was treated with a burger for lunch! Now since I see where the food is cooked not just the dinning room there are many resuraunts that I will never eat at, but this place was different! The kitchen was clean and the staff clearly care about what they make and where they work! The Burger was cooked perfectly and the fries were way better than I expected! Would definitely pay for the food at this place!
Great place around big cedar lake in West bend. Prices are a bit high but the quality is definitely there. The staff is great!
Friday fish fry is awesome. Wait was not bad..we enjoyed drinks outside. Friendly staff. Worth the drive!
We went for the Thanksgiving Buffet. As usual, the food was plentiful, varied, and delicious!
This is a very good resort, I heard it's absolutely stunning in the summer time and in winter its very festive. The food here is excellent, especially by buffet standards, and you don't need to stay at the resort to enjoy it, as it act as a standalone restaurant as well. Good food Good service Good atmosphere Good time
Great service, great food,nice view!
Food is great. Had prime rib. Very warm, inviting atmosphere. Service was good. Will be back.
Always love this place. Beautiful grounds, good service, nice atmosphere.
Very friendly staff and excellent food made from fresh ingredients. Hardly a long wait for the food, and our meals were prepared perfectly! The atmosphere is rustic but homey, with a fair amount of class mixed in. Aleays a lovely dining experience.
Friendly and cozy bar. Didn't eat this time but they have excellent food and service from past experiences.
We love this restaurant. It's sits on a picturesque lake and has a great wood -paneled bar and dining room with a huge fireplace. The fish fry on Friday nights is worth the drive from Milwaukee by far! We have moved to another state, but always come back to Timmers when we are back in town.
Timmers has an amazing upscale atmosphere and each course perfectly timed from a quickly served appetizer, followed by soup/salad then the entree without waiting between. Each dish was fantastic.
Good food, great atmosphere! It is a resort feel every time we go. While you are waiting, you can walk to Cedar Lake and hang out on the pier or walk some of the grounds. The patio is an excellent place, weather permitting or the main dining room is also very good. After dinner you can sit by the bonfire and make S'mores. Something for everyone
Was ok.. chicken and ribs were burnt and dry.... Omlets and desserts were good... We were there for the brunch.
Everything about Timmers is top notch!
Great food and service.
Food was great. Had Mother's day buffet. Lots of great tasting item. Could have been more bakery though.
Fantastic
Love the food! Excellent service! Just hard to get on Fridays. Will definitely be back.
This place is the best. It has great ambiance and wonderful staff
To be honest....not good!! I ordered the Grouper and it was rubber and tasted fishy, not to mention the dinner salad, it came with only 5 leaves on our plate. Our waitress could not be bothered with us. FOR $147.00 DOLLARS I could have gotten a better meal at Denny's. This is not our first time there, but unfortunately might be our last.
Oh the weather outside was frightful but the food at Timmer’s was so delightful... My family and I had dinner on New Year’s Eve at Timmer’s, service and food was amazing. Was somewhat concerned given the change in management but the food was what we have come to expect from Timmer’s
Hidden gem
The food and service were excellent, the staff is very kind and attentive. The grounds, buildings, and restaurant are lovely and well kept. I look forward to returning!
Best walleye I've had in a long time! Great staff, servers and bartenders
Ended up with a group of 4 visiting Timmer's based on a family member's request. We were not disappointed. We started out with the Muscles. Fresh and well cooked. If you have ever had a bad muscle, you'd know it. These were far from bad. Delicate texture and good sauce. Good liquor selection. They were a little short on the Sazerac though; probably just an error in the mix. But, they have Freakshow wine. If you are in the mood for a deep red, well-balanced wine, do not pass a glass of this up. Might even be better just ordering the bottle and taking an Uber home or letting someone else drive... so worth it! Our main courses fed the gamut of tastes; Ribs, Duck (on special), Prime Rib and Filet Mignon. I'm starting here and I had the ribs. I am being biased because everyone at the table said I had the best dish out of everyone's order!! Yay for me and they were right!! For those of you from Chicago and can appreciate a good rib with a sauce that tingles in the side of your cheek, get these ribs! Wow... was I impressed with the taste. Fall off the bone, get your fingers sloppy, ask for extra wipes goodness!!! The duck was well cooked and had a good taste to it. We believe they should have limited the orange glaze, just a bit too much. The prime rib was a good cut of meat. The person who ordered this had no complaints. Her slice was cut to order and tasted really good. My gf had the filet. She is a rare - keep it moving - meat kinda girl. Timmer's nailed it. A firm cut of filet perfectly cooked and cut like a hot knife in water. Yes, I said water... that was how tender that meat was. All in all, put Timmer's on your reservation list. It is surrounded by vacation and weekend rentals. My advice is to reserve a table if it's more than two. Because of their location and beautiful outdoor seating area, if you visit here during the spring and fall months, it's going to be busy during the popular hours. Thank You Timmer's for a great experience! Looking forward to visiting you again my next time up from Chicago.
Great food, all 4 fish dinners where perfect. We sampled each others and all agreed we'd be pleased with any of them for our dinner. Friendly and attentive staff. Very nice atmosphere.
Not enough parking. Not enough handicap parking spots. Cole slaw was lousy. The fish and bread was good. Service was ok.
The location is amazing, like a beautiful get away. Food and staff were great. They get very busy and the wait can be long. They had lots of problems with the outdoor lighting but the staff was good and offered to bring more lanterns or seat us inside. Staff was also good about lighting outdoor heating when it got cool out. Can get lots of mosquitoes. I would definitely go back!
Great service and food!
Ask for Matthew. Enough said. Best tasting water within 100 miles.
Beautiful property, music very good while dining on patio. Food delicious (portions could be a bit larger for the price)
Been here several times, but this time was absolutely terrible. Parmesan Grouper special was flavorless. Dont be fooled by the chicken "Limone" it's brown gravy with tough mushrooms. Have come to expect better. Lamb chop appetizer was good.
Not worth it. It started with no ice in water & continued...had to ask twice for drinks (appetizers had already been served), wrong wine, medium well steak was cooked medium rare, they serve mako shark which is a vulnerable species, menu item never stated bell peppers in description & came with tons of them on entree & side vegetables, & at least 3 of us had restroom issues afterwards (& none of us had same previous meals). The manicured lawn looked great though, not one speck of brown grass.
Great food. A great place to get delicious fish. Can't wait to go back!
Fabulous food, and staff. Best brunch ever
Found it on Google search. My wife and I took my sister and sis-in-law for a birthday brunch at Timmer's. This is our first visit and we're very impressed with the food and service. It was a cold day outside but they sat us next to the fireplace which was nice and cozy. We were sitted right away even though we had no reservations. Would highly recommend and we will certainly go there again.
I love Timmers, outstanding food and service. Atmosphere second to none!
A step back in time to supper club on a lake with great steaks, and outdoor dining optional.
Always tip top service and food quality! So good!
my wife and I have been coming here for 15 years. since the sale we probably wont be back. the bartenders never make eye contact and are too busy washing glasses. takes forever to get a drink even when not too busy. we used to be known on sight and they knew our names. not anymore. my wife found hair in her food. disgusting! too bad another great place gets bought and goes downhill.
Staff was amazing, friendly, very attentive. Food was great. This was my 1st visit, will definitely be back.
Sunday brunch buffet often has a theme each week (American, French, German, Italian, etc...) with options that go beyond the standard "eggs and bacon buffets". In addition to the buffet tables, they also have a made to order omelette bar and a small dessert area. Although they are smaller than some Sunday buffets, you can tell they take pride in what they serve. Everything is very good and is a nice change of pace from the typical Sunday brunch options in the area.
Outstanding fish fry along with great, friendly service.
I haven’t been there since the new management has taken over. Atmosphere is still great but the quality of the food has gone down
Fantastic buffet, fabulous bar and all around splendid dining experience. Save up for this one and forego the nickel and dime places if necessary in order to enjoy a truly worthwhile visit! If there were more than 5 stars available, Timmers would certainly deserve them
Excellent food and service! Thanks Kayla!
Wonderful food, friendly service, and charming atmosphere! We love the calamari, the filet mignon and their friday fish fry is also fantastic. They have live music playing in the background on Friday's as well. In the warmer months, Timmer's always has a beautiful fire outside. They have smores for the kiddos, yard games to play and a stunning view of the lake. We really enjoy coming to this establishment and frequent it weekly!
Great food, great atmosphere!
Upscale and clean environment, right by the water. The food & service was great. It is pricer than some places but it is so worth it and you get plenty of food.
Excellent food, service and surroundings!
Very cool place with very friendly, excellent service. I was a Timmers virgin, but will definitely return.
Great locations in Washington county, Wisconsin of West bend
Wow! A drive, but it's worth it!! Excellent food, service, and the restaurant and grounds are really nice!
Nice atmosphere. Excellent fish.
If you're looking for a good fish check this one out. The corn flake coating is the best!
It has great feel of vibrant and good food. Fran and her staff are doing great work putting Timmer's on the map of must try restaurants. We love it last night!
Fantastic
Terrific dinner with friends. Their seafood specials were great
Good service, great food, and ample portions. Ya gotta try the ribs.
Food was stellar. I had 1/2 rack ribs and they fell off the bone. Wait staff was friendly and bent over backwards to please. Wine was very good. Everything was clean.
If you want to treat your wife to fine dining in an amazing setting you have to dine at Timmer. Amazing food, nice bar and a fire on the deck. If you have not been there go this summer, you'll be coming back for years. If you don't like to wait come during the week, but don't miss this gem.
Very good food! Pleasant atmosphere!
best food around. never a disappointment
Excellent food and service.
Always great food and nice service.
Great food and gorgeous setting. Fun to pull up in the boat, hang out and get dinner with the family or friends.
I've been bringing my family to Timmers for years for their Sunday brunch it's always outstanding from the friendly omelette maker to the friendly waitresses you guys knock it out of the park you do a great job thank you
Spendy but worth it.
Food quality excellent, service friendly. Will definitely be back.
Cozy restaurant near the lake. I would love to come back here in the summer. Next time I will order the Canadian Walleye. Definitely worth the trip.
Really enjoyable dinner on a beautiful location. Eggplant app was really nice and ribs above average. Nice service as well, but what really makes this place is the location. Beware it’s on the pricy side, but seems the food quality matches the price. If you’re in the area definitely consider swinging by.
Great place to eat with an amazing view of big cedar lake, and rentable cabins
Awesome prime rib special, along with escargot and mussels
I took my family to Timmers for my mother's 80th birthday. We went on a Friday night when they do not accept reservations. We arrived at 4, had some cocktails in the bar, and then had a wonderful table in front of the fireplace. The supper club is knotty pine casual but brighter, cleaner, and nicer than the typical, dusty, dingy places I normally see. It was Dec. 1, and the holiday decorations was tasteful and welcoming. There was a roaring fire in the fireplace. Bonnie was our server, and she didn't miss a beat. As a 14 year veteran of the hospitality industry, I was impressed with how she made us feel like we were her only concern. Franny, the owner, stopped at the table to say hello and wish my mom Happy Birthday and the rest of us a great holiday. The food was hot and delicious. Steaks were perfected cooked to temp,. If I had one issue it was with the calamari parmesan, which was very parmesan cheese and not so much calamari, but overall it was a great experience. Dinner for 6, with appetizers, entrees, a round of cocktails and dessert came to under $75 per person, and that included a gratuity of 20+% Highly recommend this place.
We were here before it was sold...it is much better now than before. A friend suggested we try it again. The bartender was nice and attentive...we were with another couple and he respected our space while still making sure we had everything we needed. The waitstaff was wonderful...service was fantastic. The staff filled water glasses without request, refilled beverages and cleared dish instantly. The food was well prepared...we all enjoyed it. We will definitely go again.
One of my favorite restaurants. Love their Canadian walleye!
Extremely slow service. Fish was overdone.
Excellent location, very beautiful! Great food and cocktails!
If you ever get by Slinger Wisconsin make sure to stop by Timmers on Big Cedar lake. This lakeside resort goes back to the 1800s when families would take the train from Chicago and Milwaukee to Schlesingerville, the a buggy ride to the resort. Winter time is my favorite time of year with a wood burning fireplaces in the bar and the main dining room. If you don't have reservations don't be worried eat at the bar you meet a lot of great people when you eat your meal at the bar.
Beautiful ambiance n mouthwatering food
Excellent service and steaks. It was a treat for all of us who were here.
I only go here on Fridays since Timmers has the most delicious Friday fish fry. Unfortunately the whole town knows it too, so parking can be very tricky. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
This is always a favorite spot to go, very much a lake front supper club experience. The food and service were fantastic.
Slow service but great food
I enjoy dining here. The prime rib special is wonderful. We try to get there as often as possible.
Great food, service, reasonable prices
Went for brunch Atmosphere beautiful Worst Brunch ever
Food is great. Only grip is the portions are usually not very big, but that's typical for a fine dinning. Have been here many times and have never had a bad meal.
Magical atmosphere, below average food , terrible service- Someone needs to pay attention to this place
This was a beautiful, fully restored resort sitting on fairly large lake. Five-star dining, excellent bartenders and cute little cottages for vacation rentals everywhere. I live in Georgia and would even consider coming back on vacation just to share the experience with my family!
Wonderful place, with old lake holiday feel.
Food was good ounce you get it waited over a hour for our good was told there was a big party on back , to me that shouldn't matter don't think l will return
Loved it
Wonderful meal while being serenaded by talented musicians on the violins! Awesome time was had by all!
Excellent atmosphere, food and staff
Beautiful setting in an 'up north' atmosphere. Well prepared dinner options good selection of wine and cocktails. Welcoming staff.
Nice Sunday brunch
Excellent food, atmosphere, and employees. Never disappointed!
Great atmosphere, service a little slow, but food was delicious....
Ambiance, cuisine, service are all very close to perfection!!!
This was our first visit to Timmer's and we were pleasantly surprised by the nice setting on Cedar Lake. Beautiful restaurant. Then comes the food... Excellent prime rib, delicious mushroom soup all finished off with bread pudding with whiskey sauce. Man this was a great meal! Highly recommended.
We love the fish fry (beer battered walleye or cod and potato pancakes) and especially enjoy when there is live music on a Friday evening. We'll spend a few hours having a cocktail, then dinner, than hang around to listen to the band. Very low key classic Wisconsin supper club vibe.
Excellent food, great seafood options. Sat on the patio and enjoyed views of Big Cedar lake on a beautiful evening.
The calamari was the best we've had, and the Beautiful lake views are a bonus!
Out of this world calamari, along with everything else on the menu.
Love timmers The food is excellent. Wait staff and bartenders are excellent.
Beautiful setting and very personal, friendly service. Grouper, scallops, and calamari were all delicious. Going back to try the recommended fish fry next.
Very friendly staff and atmosphere and the food was excellent
Great food, and cozy atmosphere.
Awesome dinner, great atmosphere.
Walleye good but overpriced at 28$ don't bother with the chaum torte. Hard as rock and I think the strawberries were frozen? Probably won't be back.
BEST dining experience! I wanted to go somewhere different and fancier for my birthday so we thought we'd try it. We we're in love & Timmers surpassed all our expectations! The food was amazing! The atmosphere and ambience were the best part. We even got a table next to the real fire :)
Food was very good. We were patient with waitress to get bills correct. Also at bar, B&B was served in OF glass, should use appropriate sniffer. We will return.
