My family(6yo, 4yo, a 6month old, my wife and myself) went to Someplace Else for dinner on Friday, August 30th. While we had to wait about 10 min for a table, that was expected. Once we were seated, the service was quick. Our food was very good. Ihad the beer battered cod, which was very tasty although oily. My wife had the firecracker shrimp which she left me try and they were awesome!

Very disappointed here tonight. Soup had a piece of black hair.. and I’m blonde. “Homemade” chicken pot pie was made with processed cubed chicken squares. Made no adjusts on bill or offers to make it right. First and last visit. Food regret

Diners, Drive ins, and Dives won't be stopping by here any time soon! We had the "large" " a meal in itself" nachos. Not good. Prepackaged taco seasoning on microwaved cold beef. Several bites were just clumps of taco seasoning. Wish we had gone to Burger King instead. And we hate Burger King.

AMAZING! Great food and fantastic service! It's the tastiest bar food around. I guarantee you will enjoy it! If the special is the New Yorker, get it! It's the thickest cut of corned beef on a sandwich you've ever seen. I also recommend the Ruben rolls or the jalapeno poppers for an app. They create delicious twists on classic bar food and again, it is delicious!

Someplace Else restaurant, hands down, has the best food in the entire Elkhorn area. I was pleasantly surprised with the menu options. My only complaint is I wish they had longer hours. Will definitely be dining here again and often and will be recommending this restaurant to others

If I could I would give it a half a star. Only thing nice about the place was it was clean. The waitress never checked on us after we got our food. The bus boy who brought our food out spilt food on my mom. Never even gave us napkins or anything so my mom could clean up some. Fish was dry and no flavor.

Food was delicious last Saturday. Our waitress never came back to our table except to leave the bill, fortunately there was another nice girl who did. We gave her the tip! Our original waitress was working she just chose to ignore us. The bartender couple were also very nice.

Cute space. Waiter and help-wanted signs both suggested it's understaffed, but service was prompt and good arrived after only a short wait, even on a busy Saturday night. So no complaint. The food was perhaps not top-shelf, but it was good enough and a good value. The chicken pot pie was a hit with those that ordered it. The potato pancake that came with the fish fry didn't live up to expectations.

I dine at Someplace Else every time I'm in Elkhorn. The food is made from scratch. You can taste the difference in the quality of their dishes ranging from the salads, homemade dressing, croutons, breads, soups, house specials like chicken pot pie or baked chicken tetrazinni. I've never had a bad meal yet and been eating here since it opened in downtown Elkhorn. Also the portions are huge but the price is decent.

Okay people, get quiet, and listen to what I'm writing here. Good service, fair prices, and great atmosphere. That's the bottom of the pile. The pot pies are worthy of a 45 mile drive, the coffee is robust, but not bitter, and lastly the Banana Bread pudding is worth a 75 mile drive. I am so glad my abode is 5 minutes away, because now that I've found this heavenly creation, this establishment will see me again...I Will Be Back!!

Last week my wife and I went there for pizza. We go about once a month because it's pretty good. However, this time we both experienced abdominal cramps after eating there, and in the take home left overs my wife found this plastic piece while chewing (see photo). Won't be going there anymore.

The food was very good and so HOT!! Can't say it wasn't fresh! The was a small wait when we got there but it was 6:15 on a Saturday night, also prime rib night, however we didn't get that. We were sat very quick French onion soup and French dip was delicious! The only downside was our waitress kristal (?) She took forever just to get our drinks and rushed us to place our order, refills also took way too long.

We had perch, cod dinner and a burger. That was all ok....and yes just ok.. We also had baked french onion soup, this WAS NOT baked french onion soup, it was more like gravy in a bowl baked with croutons and cheese. It was terrible. $4.00. Terrible experience. Was with my husband and newborn baby. I was excited to go out for dinner for the first time in awhile after having my baby and it just ended up being a stressful and irritating situation. Firstly, a blonde waitress didn't give us silverwear to eat our appetizer, then 25 minutes later she handed me the wrong food, let me touch it, then gave it to another table. THEN, we had to wait an additional 25 minutes for them to remake the correct order... After that, she stated she'd be paying for the FULL TWO MEALS. Ten minutes later came back and said she'd be paying for only one meal. After we got our boxes, she came over with the FULL priced bill. At that point, I was a little less forgiving and asked to talk to the owner. They still didn't make it right! No coupons or anything, no apologies. For how expensive the meals were and the experience, I will not be returning for this reason. Worst customer service/dining experience I've ever encountered. A "well established business" like this should be trying to better fix issues like this or maybe try to do proper training with their employees. Absolutely ridiculous and two hours of my time and money wasted. Thanks!
