If you have not seen a fish boil this will be an awesome place to come and see a fish boil with awesome story and amazing view. Buffet after the boils was below par not the best food. Owner/operator is very friendly and talks to all the guest and is welcoming.

Kimberly Schommer

Good selection of food, tho none of it was to die for. The fish boil was really fun, the gentleman who does the storytelling was wonderful.

Love Gramma'a Swede Bakery! The views of the lake are really nice too

The breakfast buffet is a good deal but the food's disappointing- ok but not that great. Wilted fruit. Only bread options are sweet- cinnamon rolls, French toast, etc. The coffee was really good when I was there Sunday. Friendly service. Gorgeous view

Janet Calhoun

Hi. This place reminds me of a nursing home. Big batch cooking, everything was made in large pans to reheat when needed. Don’t go.

Steve Short

Great fish fry

Went for the Fish Boil. There was a man that told the history of Door County. It also included a buffet in the price.

We went for the fish boil in September of 2017. It was great. The outdoor experience with the story telling right by the lake was fun. The meal afterwards was perfect. Loved the traditional meal of boiled fish WITH onions (I know there is controversy in that department, but growing up we ALWAYS had onions). They also had other things on the buffet like fried fish, Swedish meatballs, etc, which were good. They of course had some desserts on the buffet, which included door county cherries, also very good. However, don't come here expecting it to be the Four Seasons. It's rustic, simple, and fun. It is really about the experience, possibly memories for those who grew up with this, and good quality food. The food itself is probably 3.5-4 stars, but the overall experience puts it at a 5-star experience. I cannot speak to brunch or other dining experiences here, as I only have come for the fish boil during the summer season.

I stopped in here with a friend of mine for the Sunday brunch, and it was a great experience overall. Some of the food wasn't anything to write about, but other items were excellent. The service was courteous, friendly, and efficient. The Sunday brunch is a bit pricey, but the price is right because you get prime rib with it. I enjoyed a fairly thick cut of prime rib, which was solid if not remarkable. I treated myself to stuffing, mashed potatoes, potato pancakes, american fries, turkey, and sausages, among other items. I am not a big breakfast sausage person, but the sausage on the buffet was excellent. The stuffing was not great, but stuffing is stuffing. What really stood out were the american fries. Those were the best I've ever had. There were a number of other items I did not have, but all looked very good. Most reviews talk about the cinnamon rolls. Those looked amazing, but I was too full to try them. If you bring your appetite and have some prime rib, the brunch buffet is a pretty solid value.

Absolutely AWSOME place, we loved our stay there. The fish boil was soooo much fun, LOVED the storyteller :) , morning breakfast each morning was fantastic, well worth the money, the bakery was unbelievable, the rolls they sold were HUGE ! it would take me 3 days to eat ONE. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable ~~Thank You Rowley Bay for the 3 day Girlfriend Getaway !!!

This was my first fish boil. I was excited but left let down. I thought the story would be more entertaining and geared towards kids rather than history lesson. I got bored and went to the bar. The line was a little long but a lady jumped in to help out. The buffet ran out of certain foods and not restocked. By the time us 6 adults and 5 kids were done, most of the dessert was gone. Again, not restocked. For what we paid, really big disappointment.

Rod Wittich

Fish boil was a disappointment. The white fish was very bony and tasted fishy. The buffet was ok. If you want a fish boil go somewhere else.

Shane Swofford

Enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Great selection of food and awesome service!

Lora Koch

Wonderful breakfast buffet that features local favorites such as Swedish pancakes, tart cherries topping, decadent pecan rolls, crisp yummy bacon and breakfast sausages, delicious egg lasagna casserole and much much more. Very affordable and attractive pricing. This is a must stop breakfast buffet for every visit up to our door county vacation home. Happy cheery sunshiny and cozy vibe with waterfront views. Wish we had this place in the Chicago suburbs!! I love this place!!!

Love the location and view. Great storytelling with a fish boil that includes a smorgasbord so there's really something for everyone. And in the morning you can visit the Swedish bakery for breakfast coffee and rolls.

Best fish boil in DC & you can have other items on the buffet if you don't like fish. Storyteller gives plenty of history of the area.

Bob Boccaccio

Horrible brunch buffet. Lots of starches, only 1 veggie, no salad bar, nasty Bloody Mary's. May have been one of the worst meals I have ever eaten.

Called on Sunday to inquire about restaurant hours for the week of October 21st and was told that they would be open 7:30-10:30 for weekday breakfast for sure. Arrived at 9:05 Tuesday morning to discover the restaurant was done serving and doors were closed. The sign on the door stated the hours that I was told. Sad way to conduct business. They are off my list of Door County restaurants. Sad.
