Food is alright, but mostly just your standard bar food. It is better than most in the area, but that's really not saying much. The patio is nice and kind of makes up for the (at least) 30 minute wait. Not sure what all the fuss is about the fish fry, as it's only just ok. Side note: every place that does fish fries should serve malt vinegar. I mean, come on! Anyways, not a bad place to eat if you're in no rush just don't expect the moon.

The food is always very good. They make great mixed drinks. It can be busy, so sometimes a short wait should be expected. The outdoor seating is excellent. The servers are always friendly and professional. The burgers and fish are always a good choice.

The staff was so friendly, and they are pet friendly too, it makes a huge difference. If you are visiting the area I highly recommend Red Pines. They have a fire pit most nights beside the lake that makes for a great gathering point for old friends or to make some new ones

This is always a fun place to go with good food. I love coming on a friday to get fish. If your looking to go on a friday be prepared for a wait it can get very busy. The service has always been good and the food will never dissapoint.

Where do I start? Hands down this is one of the best restaurants in the area. The pizza is outstanding! We also tried the walleye cheeks and cheese curds which were delicious. Katie was our server and she was very attentive and did an excellent job with our large group of 13. We had a mishap on our bill/tip and the owner made it right with me when I called even though it was no fault of theirs. They are very customer oriented and the food is excellent. I am happy to support this local business and can't wait to go back.

Priced too high for the area. Portion was small but tasted good. Had Shepherds pie, however this recipe didn't have a crust. Service was good. Most likely won't be eating there again because prices are above most other places of the same caliber.

Everything is amazing here. Well, almost everything. Everyone loves the atmosphere, the view, and all the New Glarus beer! The one thing that can/should improve, and is the only reason we don’t go here more, is the wait policy. This is only a problem during peak times/weekends. There is often a 45+ min wait and you have to be physically there to get on the wait list, and wait at the restaurant - no virtual wait, no texting. Other than that, fish is great, taco salad is great, cheese curds are decent, the buns for sandwiches could be better.

This is a must stop for anyone traveling to the beautiful bank of the Mississippi River. Wow so beautiful of an area. The food is wonderful, but the views are amazing! Eagles are all around as you sit on the heated back deck. Do yourself a favor and order the pretzel to share. It comes with cheese dipping sauce, but ask for mustard. It is very good. Go here.

I had dinner at Red Pines for the first time last night. The restaurant/bar are fantastic. The menu is huge. I had the smallest jumbo shrimp I've ever seen, but they were so delicious. The bartenders and servers were especially nice. I can't wait to go back and try other items. The prices are very reasonable.

Sad Sunday date night at Red Pines. Even with minimal customers the service was unreasonably slow. Staff spent more time socializing amingst themselves than serving or waiting on guests. Sweet potato fries are a disappointing side when covered with cinnamon and sugar (not indicated on the menu). Walleye cheeks and a good beer menu provided some redeeming qualities to an otherwise disappointing experience.

Love Red Pines every time we come here. Saturday night ribs are a favorite, and love the live music on Saturdays too. Tom Burr, Pig Town Fling, and The Merry Weathers are three must hear/see local artist that play Red Pines fairly regularly. Ever-changing craft beer menu is terrific as well!

We were there (first visit) for Fridays Fish Fry. We had shrimp and haddock. Haddock is not common in Wisconsin and I was anxious to go. I'm originally from Maine where Haddock is served everywhere. Seating was fast for 9 of us, service was great, and prices are excellent. Our meal was delicious and plan to return soon. Way to go Red Lines!!!

Red Pines is a staple of this area. It is far and away our favorite place around; they have a top-notch beer selection, outstanding food, and a serving staff that simply can't be beat. Skip the pizza (the crust isn't what is should be despite superb toppings) and go for the fish. The catfish tacos are possibly the best in the 50 states. Oh, and walleye cheeks. Seriously. Try the walleye cheeks!

First, let me say this place is beautifully decorated and rather spacious, in spite of the crowd. They were able to seat our table of 8 in a reasonable amount of time given the Friday night crowd (about 40 minutes), and there was ample room for our group to sit and wait during that time. The food was reasonably priced and came out to the table fast, and most of our group received nice-sized portions. However, my side of steamed vegetables was tiny and way overcooked (two tiny pieces of broccoli, a small piece of cauliflower, and four thin slices of squash - all so mushy I couldn't spear them with my fork without them falling apart.) Not being fish people, we ordered the Key West chicken breast (moist but without flavor) and the Red Pines burger (also bland despite the chipotle sauce and served on an oversized bun.) It was all okay but not worth the wait, in our opinion. (I am told the fish was much better than our meal.) The worst part of the evening, however, was our server getting orders mixed up (understandable, given the number of diners) then refusing to believe us when we tried to correct her. She wasn't rude or had an attitude or anything; she just pointedly left the dish on the table and told me I had ordered this dish. (It was a burger, and I had ordered the chicken breast.) Fortunately, one of my co-workers overheard and told the server that the burger belonged to her, which seemed to sort it out.

I grew up on Brice.Prairie . Moved to twin cities years ago. Was awesome to find a familiar spot in a familiar place with my mother to return to. Nostalgic even. Service was poor and sporadic. Server with straight blond hair was sweet and attentiv . The appearing manager or bar manager turned the music down significantly I'd paid for on the Touch Tunes juke box. Thought that was extremely rude. Sad to say I'll llikely not be returning to our newfound hangout

Everything I have tried here has been perfect for the style of food this place serves. I'm very well traveled and I'm telling you wont find better fish, burgers, or ribs anywhere in Wisconsin. The Walleye and Perch are the best I've had in the USA. Only some places in Canada are on par for me. They treat the ingredients with respect here and prepare them in a way that makes sense. I'm all for innovation, but mastering something classic should always come first. Then innovate after that. This place does that. You aren't going to do better than this place for this style of food at this price point. Definitely go out of your way. I always do.

Overall, not a terrible place for a good meal/drinks but there were some distractions that lowered the rating... Drinks...were good. Decent selection of tap brews and bottles as well as house specialties. Food...good selection and good overall. Problems...we sat outside under the overhang/porch. I wouldn't exactly call it riverside dining...but close enough I guess. The night we were there, there was a TERRIBLE bug problem that really distracted us. The servers were quick to light timing torches and the citronella candles; however, citronella isn't the best mix when eating. If I remember correctly, there was an outdoor carpet in the seating area which is where I thing some of the bug issues were coming from as it wasn't just mosquitoes (thinking sand fleas). We were also offered bug spray but that didn't even do the trick. It cut our night short as we just wanted to get going after the bug invasion. Final thoughts...be aware of the bug issue and push to eat inside and/or don't be outside at sunset. Don't let the bug issue prevent you from eating here as the food was good....just know what you're getting in to if you eat outside.
