Just reopened after being closed for over a year due to fire. It's remodeled and has more tables. Food was great . . Had steak fajita.

Since the remodel the prices have went up. I think they are a few bucks higher then many Mexican restaurants in the area. The restaurant looks authentic Mexican colors and decor. They give a good homemade chicken noodle soup for free if you eat in the restaurant. Also free chips and salsa. The food is good but not excellent. The wait staff is friendly and did ask us if we wanted refills.

The service was bad, the food was worse. It took a long time just to get the drinks, which are purchased by the can. There was complimentary chicken noodle soup and that was very good, but our actual order? The al pastor was surprisingly bland and cold. My friend's order was pretty unpleasant in taste and smell. The salsas were similar in their blandness. It's a shame, really. The atmosphere is nice inside, at the very least.

Food is amazing just cooked perfect I had the menudo I was so satisfied so homemade fresh, fresh tortillas corn and the tacos was the same mouth watering I didnt dine in but the place is so Authentic you feel like home there the waitress are attentive try it they parking Iwould dine in next time therw is no other Mexican place I will dine in...This place is a exception for family , Groups , etc..ok Round two went there today and margaritas were great tacos was great but one problem I ordered menudo and it took awhile and when she brought it to me it was half way cold no hot steam coming up from soup just cold so I was nice about it and asked her to warm it up for me please but si far good..

At first the price worried me, but they gave four well made, filled tacos with all the trimmings, 8 cups of different salsas, a huge chimichanga, and the guacamole came with 2 bags of tortilla chips. 2 bags! The food was all delicious. AND THEY DELIVER! I highly recommend them.

Best Mexican restaurant in Racine. Crispy taco shells are awesome and their salsas are super good. Cup of chicken noodle soup was included with the order of tacos. Soup, 4 tacos, chips and salsa, all for $5. Tequila is extra.

None of the older or young ladies were friendly, it appears at this one you have to be a regular to get a smile. I'm not sure how the food taste but they appeared to be busy maybe because the north side isn't aware of all other Mexican little spots scattered almost ALL OVER Racine. The place was empty. I'm starting to see a trend in Racine and Kenosha with All the different pop up Mexican spots. Blue Sombrero, La Fagata, Los Mariachis, Los Cartinos, I'll even put Lexy on here it's new to me but for the most part is and are restaurants. These other spots is looking and smelling all the same and starting up so quick, I just wonder??????? Anywho try at your own discretion and share with us all and, best of luck to all.

My father and I ordered from here earlier today. (I will preface this review by saying my father and I are the type of people that deal with whatever is put in front of us. With food and in life. I’m tired of spending a decent amount of money on food and it being mediocre or less than.) My father ordered three beef tacos and a steak meal. He was disappointed by the steak and by the look of it, I don’t blame him. The tacos were even worse. The hard shell they came with was such a joke that they provided soft shells on the side. My dad and I quote him saying, “I can make better tacos than this.” Which I can attest to. I ordered nachos and rice. The nachos were disappointing to such a degree I would have rather ate air by its lonesome. It was pretty much a salad with some meat, some sour cream, some tomato and some chips. The chips seemed to be stale as well. I don’t normally review places let alone give them negative reviews. For the money we spent I would suggest everyone go to any other Mexican restaurant. Sorry Mi Jacalito. We will not be return customers. On to the next one as they say.

Got our order wrong so we had to go back and get the correct order. We had already settled in and were ready to eat when I discovered chicken in my cheese only enchiladas. Also, the new enchiladas were soggy. My husband likes this place, but I won’t eat here again.

They remodeled it is beautiful inside, horcheta is still fresh, everyone is still friendly and the staff loves to make you smile. You have got to go get your authentic Mexican on, unless you thought Taco Bell was Mexican food then stay home

My husband and I go here at least once a month. As a matter of fact, we're going tomorrow for our anniversary. He loves the lengua tacos and I usually get the ground beef taco dinner. Their pazole is fantastic. I love everything about this place. It's authentic mexican food. Friendly staff and great service. I loved everything I've tried there and the prices are very reasonable too. Plus you get a lot of food for the price. The restaurant has also been newly remodeled so everything looks new and clean. Plus they have an upper level so they can accommodate large groups. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic mexican food.
