Excellent!! As with any Fish Fry on a Friday in Wisconsin, there was a wait. We had some delicious old-fashioneds and then were seated after about an hour. The salad bar was excellent and the fish was perfect.

Were out of prime rib by 8pm, meat was pan fried not grilled. Wings were breaded and fried like frozen grocery store brand. Wont be eating here anytime soon. Service was average.

I would give no stars if possible. This use to be our family’s Friday night fish fry for the past three years. I have never been so upset leaving any restaurant as I was this one. There was an incident that had happened and our waitress became very loud, disrespectful and acted in a very threatening manner, even threatened me at one point! I wanted to call the police, but my husband suggested that we just leave. She acted as she was on the street ready to fight. The owner was gone that night and the rest of the staff pretty much ignored the situation and acted as nothing happened. We left and will never ever be back. We found a really good fish fry out by Lodi that we LOVE. The food and service there is much better than the service here at the maple tree. We will never return. It’s too bad they let their waitress and staff act as they please. Not as good costumer service or people skills as we thought. Glad we finally saw what the staff is really like. I would recommended going somewhere else.

Have lived here for years. We have been to this restaurant MANY times. Take out many times. They have almost 100% of the time screw up the take out somehow. Staff is non-responsive to the mistakes every time. Wednesday night at the all you can eat we have not felt well several times. Salad bar is low quality. But if you like to drink the bar is a good. Go figure.

Our experience was quite underwhelming. I am not sure how this place is pulling a 4.3 star average rating. We arrived on a Saturday evening at about 5:30 pm. Place was pretty busy so I thought that was a good sign (plus the 4.3 star average score for Google reviews). We were sat at a table and the first thing I noticed was the table was wobbly, like really wobbly. Next thing I noticed was the 'high end' paper napkins on the table. I started to get the feeling that this was a low end supper club/dive. But, we went ahead and ordered our steaks as the price was quite good compared to other steak places in the area (this should have also been a sign of things to come). Appetizers: We got the appetizer platter so we could try their different appetizers (cheese curds, onion rings, and chicken wings). Cheese curds were good. Onion rings were blah, and chicken wings were embarrassed to be called chicken wings. Salad Bar: The salad bar was, well, pretty unimpressive. The cucumbers had clearly been frozen at some point and most of the options didn't seem all that fresh. The dressings were clearly from a bottle and not house-made. They had that tangy 'preserved' flavor. Both the ranch and blue cheese were pretty bad. I would not pay for the salad bar. Although, the beef vegetable soup was good and probably the highlight of the evening outside of the fresh baked bread and butter. Entrees: My entree was a ribeye steak with green beans. My dates entree was the Filet Mignon with baked fish and garlic mashed potatoes. We both ordered our steak cooked medium. My steak was cooked correctly but the cut of meat was low grade. It had grizzle on the edges and was rather flavorless. The green beans were pretty flavorless, too. My dates filet mignon was way over cooked and bordering on shoe leather. Her fish was also very dry. The garlic mashed potatoes were pretty good so we took those home and gave them to my daughter. Service: The service was not great. The biggest complaint is that the wait staff never came back and checked on us after bringing our entrees. We would've told her at the time that the filet was not cooked right and the fish was dry. But, they didn't come by until it was time to drop the check off and noticed my date hadn't eaten but two bites of her steak. It was too late to fix anything by then, dinner was over. I gave the restaurant an overall score of two stars instead of one, because at least the owner had the decency to remove the steak from the check. So, we didn't have to pay for it, but we didn't really get dinner after all was said and done. Final Summary: There are better places in the area to get a nice dinner out on a Friday or Saturday evening. Fiel's (near Randolph), Johnny's Italian Steakhouse in Sun Prairie, Cimarolli's near Portage, Fitz's on the Lake near Lodi. And, these places are a little pricier than the Maple Tree, but at least you get something edible! I would not go back to Maple Tree. P.S. Thanks to the owner for at least refunding the steak. I suggest a whole new cooking staff...the menu and food is in dire need of an upgrade.

Food was okay... The prices on their menu don't make a lot of sense. I think cod was listed as more expensive than shrimp. If I ordered a burger, fries were another $2.99, or it came with chips for free. Didn't make a lot of sense to me. Not worth it quality wise to come back.

I guess I have higher standards than most reviewers here! Service was good but food was NOT good. Came for the buffet as first-timers looking to get a taste of a little of everything and were very underwhelmed with what we found. The Chicken and ribs were greasy and flavorless. Soups were absolutely overloaded with salt. Not at all impressed.

The Maple Tree is a very classic Wisconsin Supper Club. Great bar, good food, good prices and a great staff. A nice salad bar, which are harder and harder to find these days. They draw quite a crowd on Friday and Saturday nights but are very efficient about moving people through. They also offer a very nice breakfast on the weekends.

We had horrible service. In the 45 minutes we were there we only saw our waitress once. People that came in at the same time as us got their food ate it and left and we still never even got our food. Being honest we went to the cashier told them we eat the salad bar but we were not waiting any longer for our food and they charged us $20. Very nice local eatery with good food! There is a soup and salad bar with dinner, and fresh bread. Great selections of both food and drinks, and the people are super nice! My son and I were traveling through Madison and really liked this area!

Great atmosphere and good prices for all you get, the salad bar has a nice selection with a soup as well. The bartenders are really nice the food was good, had the prime rib on a Saturday night it was a little bland (the meat) but over all a nice experience for date night. Not many supper clubs left out there.

Maple Tree offers several fish specials on Friday that are very tasty, however they also offer their prime rib special on Friday. I ordered the petite cut (12 oz) and it was terrific... flavorful, tender and cooked rare as I requested. The servers are friendly and very attentive without being intrusive. We will be back again, next Friday!
