Mackinaw's is always a great choice: there are many different styles of food - all which are delicious, and they have a great lodge/cabin design that really compliments the restaurant's overall atmosphere. Last time I went on Sunday to try their brunch buffet and it was amazing! Don't miss out just because it's popular - this place is popular for a reason and worth the wait.

Food was horrible! Felt like things were premade or frozen and heated up..the waitress even told us one of the sauces was bought in and some are premade. I had coconut shrimp and there was more breading than shrimp. Vegetables tasted like they were out of a frozen bag. And felt like the waitress took forever and was to busy talking with her other girl waitresses..place wasn't busy that's why we went cuz it was the least busy place at noon, 1...now I know why. Never will return there again

This place is always good. Busy on the weekends so I recommend making a reservation. Big menu with lots to chose from and friendly staff. The reason for the 4 stars is last time we sat upstairs and it was not as nice. It was very loud and hard to hear the people at my table. This however will not stop me from returning.

The food is reasonably sized and the staff is efficient and friendly though not particularly knowledgeable. The atmosphere is overtly rustic so if you are looking to avoid stuffiness at all cost this is your place. Their beer and drink list is what you would expect is the GB area (well rounded selection of craft and domestic). The food is quite basic so this is a great way to experience GB if you or others in your party are not adventurous eaters.

I took my girlfriend there for her birthday, on March 22 2019. She ordered steak medium well because she is pregnant and can not eat steak that's bloody. Her steak was undercooked. The service was awful. Just an overall stressful dinner. We were not happy .

My husband and I go for their amazing burgers. Haven't had a bad one yet. Always cooked perfectly to our own likings. Fries always nice and crunchy. Great selection of beers, good service. If you go on a weekend night you may want to call ahead for reservations.

A little bit more expensive, but worth the money. I ordered a breaded chicken sandwich, and it was excellent. They have great french fries there. The waitress was knowledgeable of the menu and was very friendly. Atmosphere was nice and they played good music. We will definitely go again.

Have eaten here and ordered out plenty of times and found the food to be pretty good thou on the pricier side but the service usually makes up for it. Did take out a couple times in the last month and neither time were they busy but my cheeseburger was no where the usual quality and quite overcooked.

We were here after my niece's wedding on Friday and it was amazing. The food was awesome & the owner thanked us by bringing 3 huge sundaes (each served about 8)for bringing our group there to eat. Was a very nice thing for him to do & one of the many reasons we will go back.

I had ordered the Steak Fajita. I did put some salsa on in and took a bite, it was spicy. I asked the waiter if the salsa was spicy hot and he said he didn't know, never tasted it. I took another bite hot! I called the waiter back and asked him to find out where the spicy hot was coming from; the salsa or the fajita? He came back to say the fajita. It was spicy hot and I couldn't eat anymore. He offered to do something and my husband offered to switch plates, he doesn't mind spicy so we did. This needs to be labeled HOT AND SPICY on the menu to warn others!! I later called management and was told that no, normally it ISN'T spicy unless ordered that way and I hadn't. Apparently, he is sending me a certificate for my inconvenience.

Any place that charges for you for extra sodas or drink is a complete rip off. We went for brunch which cost $15/person and only comes with one drink.....and 2 kid meals($5/each )too...and they don't tell you that..so we paid an extra $10.00 for 3 extra drinks....so a grand total of $52.00 not including tip.....

Had the Icelandic Cod lunch. It was amazing! Tender and flavorful. The steamed vegetables were delicious. Even the side salad was awesome. Our waitress was very attentive and overall I had an amazing meal there!

Rating a 3 ONLY cause I didn't eat here, just stopped in to drink a beer and kill some time. Bar tender was prompt with our drink order. Lots of tv's, so I can see coming back for game days. Everything in general seemed to be very clean. If your like me, you appreciate a clean well maintained bathroom, this is one of them

I have heard nothing but good things about this place for years. So we decided to stop in as soon as we arrived in Green Bay from Chicago. It's possible we caught them on a bad day but we were not impressed. With a party of 5 not one of us were satisfied with our meal. On the other hand the server was very friendly and accommodating.

Feels like you are entering a beautiful lodge. Many different areas to eat . Large bar with tables on both sides and bar stools surrounding bar. Many other rooms to have your meal. Service is good and delicious food.

Wondering what all they hype is about. Mackinaw’s features a so-so atmosphere and mediocre food. My fiancée and I both ordered a burger. For $15.00, I expect a burger to be pretty good. However, neither of our meals had any flavor and we both struggled to keep eating. I was also a bit put off by the lack of condiments when our food came - mustard and mayonnaise were brought upon request in tiny squeeze packets. Again, not what I expect from a sit-down place. Just okay meal, probably won’t return.

I was alone and got seated way back in an obscure corner. Service was slow but that is nothing new. Got cod sandwich with fries. Asked for malt vinegar which caused much confusion and was told they didn't have it. Years ago maybe but everyone serving fish and chips has it now or at least knows what it is. Lol.i was unimpressed with the meal and probably will mark this off my list now sorry to say.

Mackinaws is one of those great local places that's part great sports bar; part great restraunt. With a wide variety of items on a menu that doesn't offer so many choices that's it overbearing; but, enough to make any group happy. The buffalo burger is very good. I get it with just lettuce, tomato, raw onion and mayo. When paying more for an "exotic meat" I don't like to cover it up with a lot of other flavors. Comes with a choice of sides. I choose the thicker cut homade chips. Would like to see them seasoned with a little salt by the kitchen. The perch fish fry that was on special that day was reported very good. The soup of the day wasn't anything that was to my taste but those that had it liked it. Dining room nicely appointed and has a nice fireplace and plenty of TVs to keep up with the games. Staff was well trained and friendly and never rushed us. In a lake of food choices Mackinaws Grill & Spirits is a nice island.

This place is fun! Very lodge/ ski resort sort of style. The food is American style with a side of Mexican cuisine. We were staying close by a few nights for work and came here twice. The food was good, well priced and the service pretty good as well. Over all a nice place for dinner.Don't let all the cars in the parking lot and along the street scare you off! This place has plenty of seating and most likely the wait won't be as long as you think.

So not impressed with the food for the price. Ordered Nachos which were so greasy the chips were soggy. The dish was not balanced and was very heavy on the stomach. Had much better at places with lower expectations. The service WAS excellent and the atmosphere WAS what you would expect. I did try the perch which was good (not great) but the tartar sauce was sweet?!?! Didn't like it and couldn't have it with the perch. Many prices on the menu were unreasonable so not worth ordering.

States that brunch is served until 2 pm. Went for their Sunday brunch after being discharged from hospital. We were told the cooks started taking down and we were unable to get it. The waitress was great and very understanding when we let her know we were going to go somewhere else. Just disappointing to have something advertised as one thing and find out it's not. The place looks awesome and very cozy though. Will try to go again in the future

One of the biggest restaurants I've ever been in. There's a lot of great wood work decor and different things to look at no matter where you are in the restaurant. It's got a great bar and a diverse menu, it's a great place to spend an evening with some friends or just drop in for lunch. An absolute Green Bay staple.

Just had the perch fry again...one of the best I have had from Green Bay and on up the thumb. ...fries are crisp.....the rye bread and onions are the added touch. Good beer list....their better craft brews get $$......choose a shot from their bourbon board for a good desert........we will be back......

Cozy atmosphere, quick and knowledgeable staff, food was definitely worth the price, and one of the first places to serve a margarita of a normal size (not too big). My bf and I both got a prime rib. We both loved it. Ribs were full of flavor yet not so seasoned that you can't taste the meat itself. Overall fantastic place!

Nothing special. Seemed a bit pricey (27.94 for a hamburger with curds and 2 pints). You can tell the quality of food is lacking by the fact they offer generic ketchup. Bartender (Toni) did fine.

On weekends someone comes around and gives chocolate chip cookies to the tables - neat idea and the cookies were warm, soft, and tasty. We have been there a few times and really enjoy it. On the other hand the food was not good at all, for the price I would have felt that it would have been some of the best in town. Not so much, I would have had a better meal at the culver's next door for way less. Asked a few people I knew after and they all said the same thing, service is great, food is horrible.

I'd just like to say that this is the best perch dinner that we've had anywhere! That being said, we had one issue of like to share for the proprietors sake. If you have a wonderful business that is booming and has great food, do not close down one side of the restaurant and turn away patrons that do not choose to sit at the bar. We were told at about 2 pm on a Friday that we couldn't sit at a booth in the room off to the right of the entrance. We were leaving and a wonderful young girl, Ivette told us she would serve us on the other side. I am so glad she did. The perch was wonderful as usual and service with her outstanding. I enjoy also the extent to going green with the to go's and such. We will be back for our perch fix. Thank you very much. I'll return the so much so deserved star upon our next visit. Great job! (By almost all)

Great for reservations! They handled my group of 29 like a breeze, everyone got the food they ordered in a timely manner and everyone left happy and full! The staff was so kind and friendly, and even doubled back multiple times to make sure items were correct. Terrible experience. Terrible service. Snotty waitress. Took us over 2 hours to get our drinks and food. They jacked up the price of the margaritas and they watered them down so much that they're mostly ice. Told us our mackinaw's rewards card wouldn't work and we lost a bunch of points. This is a rewards card that we've been using for the last several months. Gave the waitress a gift certificate and she said she forgot to run it thru. She offered to run it again but said our card would be charged twice and we'd get a refund in a few days. I don't think so!! The only thing good about the night was the food and they jacked the price of that up too.

The food was fantastic. One of the best Sunday brunches I've ever had. $15 for buffet including prime rib cut right in front of you. Also including made to order omelets right in front of you. Chicken and ribs also included as well well as the normal breakfast fair such as pancakes, bacon, sausage, and biscuits with gravy. Salad bar also included with fresh fruit.

Chicken was dry and tough in the salad and the Rueben was very dry like something was missing. They offered to replace with no problem. This problem is very unusual for this restaurant. Food is usually excellent. It was the middle of the afternoon so maybe that was a factor. We will go back!

The meal was acceptable, sure, but not for the price. I got perch with coleslaw and fries on a busy Friday night. The perch was tasty but the breading was excessive and didn't adhere properly, the coleslaw was soupy and unseasoned, and the fries were cooked low and slow like they overloaded the fryer basket.

IWent to mackinaws and they were not busy we were seated in a timely fashion we gave our order in a timely fashion then we waited forever to get our food they were not busy I ordered a fajita and my great grandma ordered a burger with chips when I got my fajita it was the bottom of it sat so long it was nothing but mush I had to go to the bar to get ketchup and that was sour. Sorry not a good experience. I even had to ask for my bill so I could leave.
