Took them over an hour to seat us.. food was good but poor management unless you want to sit at the bar and get drunk first... We arrived at 530pm didn't get seated until 7pm good thing my wife and I enjoy each other's company we were not drinking... Totally unacceptable there was room the whole time in the dining area..

We came in as a party of 10, no seating signs were posted. We were told we needed to read the menu and order at the bar before sitting down. Unfortunately we didn't stay as this would have been a feat with 6 kids.

I usually enjoy Machut's but I went with a group of 10 on a Saturday night and we ordered our food at 5 pm and by 7:15 we still weren't served. The worst part about the experience is that the bartender would not give us an estimate after asking a few time. She just kept giving excuses without ever going to check on the order. We just wanted an idea of how long we would be waiting yet and she kept telling us she didn't know. We all left very disappointed and very hungry.

It's a Super club with some old word charm. The people are very nice and helpful. The food is very good with a good little salad bar. The prices are very reasonable. We try to stop in when we are in the area. The prime rib to me is Awesome. Its even great the next day. The chicken is very good also mice and juicy. Hope to eat there soon. Lord Byron once said, “Since Eve ate the apple, much depends on dinner.” This profound notion perpetuates the idea that, in this era of innumerable dining choices, it is safe to say that the stakes are higher than ever when it comes to answering that age-old question: what’s for dinner? Given the restaurant landscape of late, I often find myself stoically glaring at dinner menus at five-star restaurants dotted with terms like "small plates," "vegan," "free-range" this, "gluten-free" that, etc. and with a furrowed brow I wearily wonder to myself “Where has America gone?” Where can a modest, hard-working American like myself reward the fruits of my labor with a meal that exemplifies the American experience? Where can I savor the sweet nectar of a flawlessly-made brandy old-fashioned? Where can I recapture the twinkle in my eye whilst peering out over a mile-long salad bar? Where, I used to wonder, can I sample a cornucopia of meats in a single, magnificent course? How reassuring it is to know that America does in fact still exist. It is alive and well and can be found on a small piece of real estate that surely must be leased by heaven – in a modest Midwestern hamlet known as Two Rivers, Wisconsin at an establishment called Machut’s. Like a swallow to Capistrano, I make my annual pilgrimage over the holidays to return to this place where I know I am welcome and loved. To a place where the warm, dimly lit atmosphere comforts me like a mother’s womb. To a place where those aforementioned old-fashioneds flow like water – and my eyes light up like a child’s on Christmas day when I fix my gaze upon the salad bar, illuminated like a magical runway leading to the charming and elegant dining room where every culinary promise is about to be fulfilled. To be an American is to have the freedom to make choices out of many options and no menu exemplifies this core value better than Machut’s. Yet how seldom can it be said that any choice you make will be a great one? Whether it’s the buttery filet mignon, the savory-sweet ribs or the trademark broasted chicken – there is simply no wrong way to experience an entrée at this crown jewel of supper clubs. It should go without saying that the service is first-rate and even when my notoriously fussy, mustachioed dining partner insisted he could not enjoy his meal without cottage cheese and a robust merlot, the incredibly attentive server promptly brought him a heaping bowl and a comprehensive wine list. This is a prime example of how Machut’s endeavor to treat their customers as “part of the family” is a key ingredient to their recipe for six decades of sustained excellence. On our most recent visit, my dining companions and I left not only with full stomachs – but also with full hearts and clear minds. For we were secure in the knowledge that we need never worry about making America great again - because so long as the sign on the door of Machut’s says “Open” it shall serve as a reminder that America has always been great.

Clearly nobody is managing this place. Had 3 different servers. Food was disgusting. You could tell nothing was fresh. I have never tasted steak so bad in my life. Couldn't get my drink refilled. Staff did nothing but talk badly about the restaurant. I'm worried about what goes on in the kitchen.

Excellent. Prime rib came out as your own roast. Done just right. The Orange Roughy was good. They have different things on the salad bar and one soup but you have to pay extra for the soup. You have to order at the bar.

The half rack of ribs that I had was very good, but not as tender as I would have liked. My wife had the orange ruffy, she did not finish it because it had a somewhat fishy taste. All in all not the best experience. Hope for something better next time.

Got take-out yesterday, a Sunday. Ordered 2 beef tips..1 w noodles & 1 w mashed. Asked to add 4 battered shrimp to 1 & a salad bar to the other. 55$ later!!!! Charged me for a full battered shrimp, but never asked what potatoes-if that's what they believed I wanted. Full price for an add on salad bar, as well. To top it all off? My food had disappeared & had to wait for them to make it!!! No apologies. No discount. Even paid full price for my drink as I sat waiting.

Went with a big group and everyone was pretty happy with their food. Our waitress was having some trouble and had to go back and forth for missing sides, and messed up the bills. Other staff got the bills straightened out so that worked out. I had clam strips (delicious) and the salad bar (good variety). LOVE hot bacon dressing and was happy to see it on the salad bar. The soup was oriental chicken and tasted good. Prices were decent for both food and drinks. While the place has older decor, furnishings and decor was clean and in good condition. We had reservations because of the big group, but the place was busy so we had a little longer wait.
