Still the best burrito in Madison in my humble opinion. I get the regular combo (steak and pork) burrito with no lettuce, adding cilantro and rice. Wash it down with a large Horchata and you have a winning combination every time. This is the only La Bamba's left in Madison sadly, so I eat there almost any time I am on that side of town.

They say they have burritos as large as your head, and that is absolutely correct. I had the largest burrito of my entire life, full of chicken and other items. It was great, though sadly it was a bit bland. Everyone working there is nice!

Steak tacos are great, burritos lack flavor and become soggy very quickly. The group beef tacos are almost vegetarian because of the lack of beef, however service is fast. I'll go back for more steak tacos

This place will always have a soft spot in my heart. Moved here in 2000 at 16 and whenever I'm in the area I HAVE to stop here. Really wish the other locations hadn't shut down. This one is the last of a dying breed of great, quick, and delicious Mexican fare.

For a late-night burrito, La Bamba is the gold standard. Nothing else will satisfy. Make sure you come here. Don't go to Taco Bell. You will regret it.

ZERO STARS My burrito was only a salad. It was only lettuce with a VERY LITTLE bit of beef, a big chunk of tomato, and a ton of sauce. My boyfriend wasn't pleased with the tacos as they were very Americanized and not at all authentic. Won't be going here again.

The staff here is great- so personable and thoughtful! We ordered nachos to go and they waited until we got there to put the order in so they wouldn’t get soggy (it only took 2 minutes to make so it didn’t really slow us down). The portions are huge. I had a burrito and my husband had the steak fajitas and a friend had a torta. I’ll try the fajitas next time. Torta’s aren’t my thing but our friend liked it.

Definitely not authentic Mexican. Taco tortillas were soggy, steak was like the "steak" they serve at Subway, rice was basically colored white rice, beans had sandwich cheese on it, and the pork's sauce was... unique. If you want authentic Mexican check out Los Gemelos.

La Bambas is trash food, but it's trash in all the best ways. Been here probably 100 times now. Greasy cheap burritos and tacos. Some of my favorite horchata (spelling?). Also; if you're super trashed after a long day of drinking la bombas becomes a 5 star restaurant.

Tonight me and my lady went there and I got the super burrito and she got the nachos one Lets just say it was better than the first time I went forshure but this time it was different The place was super clean the grill area was super shiny the tables and the floor were were decently taken care of And I always get a chuckle when you pay beacuse of the personality the workers have The prices they have are very fair for the portions If your looking for a awesome burrito that's bigger than your forearm this place will hook you up I only tried the burritos and the nachos so far. Mabie next time ill try something else.

This is barely Mexican food. None of it was any good. It tasted like lazy cooking at best. I can't recommend this place, at all. The price is decent, but the quality is clearly lacking. Save your money and let any diehard fans have this place.

If you are into food, this is a place for you. Authentic, "Texmex" straight from the towns' that straddle the US-Mexican border. This is for the true food lover/gut truck junkie. The people are real, fun loving, gracious, and generous. The amount of food you get for the price is astounding. Not, to mention the taste is stratospheric. If you are looking for a McDonald's this is not the place for you. Run of the mill, is not even close to a characteristic of this place. I travel to Madison for work, I will even bring a small cooler with me so I can bring their hot sauce home. So, if you are a true foodie or you are just starting to put the feelers out, you will love this place.
