Don't bother reading anything about this place; just go eat there. Everything is good and a good value too! The only complaint I have is that when the place gets crowded; it can seem claustrophobic. That's not great, considering this is a fairly big place. Good sized portions. Great value. Amazing drinks (with knowledgeable bar tenders). Great salsa.

My gf and I decided to try Jose's blue sombrero because of the great Google reviews. My gf had a combination plate and I had a chicken fajita. All the food was bland and the chicken for the fajita was dryed out. The server replaced the fajita for a Mexican chicken soup which she recommended. This dish was so unbearably salty I had to water it down with a cup of water. Also, the side of ranchero beans could not be eaten because of the high salt content. I left 75% of the food there. They took $8 off the bill for the bad food, but that meant nothing when I ended up going home hungry and dissatisfied. I will not be returning ever again.

The customer service was friendly and helpful (order to-go). The rice was bland and dry. Which was that big of a deal because the main dish was absolutely delicious, HOT, and the favor was great. I would definitely recommend the tamales(verde)! Price is on the high side. But you honestly get what you pay for. Well definitely be coming back.

We went for lunch on a Friday. The service was great, and we got the table side guacamole. It was delicious and fun to watch! Their chips and salsa were also very tasty. We didn't order drinks but their cocktail menu looked fun. The only downside was the lunch menu. The proteins were both overcooked and the spiced vegetables were a little strange. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely go back. Especially for drinks and chips!

By far my favorite Mexican restaurant, nobody competes with Jose's. Their table side gauc is untouchable, their tacos are amazing, and you can never get enough of their salsa. Whenever I am in or passing through Racine, its a must stop.

While I wouldn't consider the dishes traditional Mexican cuisine, it is a bit more upscale than I would get from a local establishment when working in Mexico. The have multiple flavorful taco options, like a dish called Red Dragon Taco, which is a Korean BBQ inspired taco. Good service, great food, usually busy.

The best Mexican food I've ever had outside home cooking! Their house salsa was addictive. I had the surf & turf burrito with pablano ranch instead of the green chili on it... My wife couldn't stop laughing at my expressions and sighs of delight. Never had better shrimp in my life. The skirt steak they paired with complimented perfectly. My wife had the stacked enchilada. She had to swat my fork away repeatedly after allowing me to try a bit. We drove 45 minutes here upon a recommendation from a friend and will be back without a doubt.

Nothing like having a cart pull up to your table, peel avocados and customize your guacamole from favorite ingredients! Easy on the jalapeños and cilantro please, and a little more garlic tomatoes and onion. And let’s top that off with a siesta when I get home! If you haven’t been to Jose’s you’re depriving yourself!

This place was amazing. If you crave a little spice in your Mexican food come here. They have me the spicy salsa with my chips. It was great. Then I had the stacked enchiladas. It was very good. Wife had the chile relleno. Had an issue with it and the waitress was great about getting the issue fixed. It was very good after the fix. I recommend this place! I will come back.

The food really is not authentic at all. Chimichangas, enchiladas, burritos...they all taste the same regardless of what type of meat you get. I've had better Mexican rice from a box of rice-a-roni. All of the entrees will run you a minimum of $10.00 depending on what you get. It's insanely loud inside. Tack on a 40 minute wait to all of the above. Pass. There are better places in the area to go.

Food is always awesome. They always have a special menu with awesome plates. On Thursday they have carnitas by the pound. Really, really good. The drinks are fantastic. They have a variety of drinks. My favorite is the Jalapeño margarita. Service is great too. Unfortunately it’s always very busy in the evening and we always have to wait. But that means that is a great place for food and drinks.

My wife and I always loved eating at this place love the guacamole Bowl it's 10 bucks but hey it's one of the best ten bucks you ever invested in custom made guacamole Bowl right there at your table side. Case excellent if you want it fiery hot bring down fire from heaven or if you want it mild as can be they can make it I know where you want it. The food is always excellent always hot always fresh and I love those tortilla chips they give you at the table and they give you something to go home with

Wasn't that great. The chips and salsa was amazing. But the food, super greasy, rice was extremely dry, asked for my beans on the side that for sure didn't happen. And bring your own sour cream, it's a whole dollar for a dollop in a cup... That's crazy! Definitely had better elsewhere.

I like Jose's. It's a nice place with good food and good drinks. Definitely a great leave to come with coworkers or large parties in general. It's Mexican food, but it doesn't feel taste 100% authentically Mexican. Maybe because there's less grease, but grease is flavor!

Great experience! The salsa was delicious and so fresh. Louis was our server and he was amazing. So kind, patient and continuously filled drinks and chips/salsa. I heard great things about this place so was expecting phenomenal. The food was good but I wouldn’t say phenomenal. One of our dishes was good the other just so so in flavor (chicken fajitas). We recently used Jose's to cater a corporate luncheon for our office. The food was awesome with generous quantities. They were super easy to work with and had everything ready to go at the promised time. I chose to pick up our order and they loaded it in my car. Everything done to perfection!
