REVIEWS OF Honeypie IN Wisconsin

Jacki Dressler

Trendy crowd. Service is wonderful. Menu slightly limited but very good good. Worth the wait(if any) on a weekends.

Bill Cornett

Delicious. We loved the lunch but were nuts about the pies. You won't regret a visit.

Holly Gray

I love this restaurant and make it a point to eat here whenever I'm in the Bayview area!

Frank Wilcox

Awesome lunch and then the homemade blueberry pie with homemade vanilla bean ice cream was even better Service was Awesome as well Definitely go there

Savion Kirk

Sooo good! And large servings. Their desserts look amazing and are definitely a staple, I'm just too cheap to pay $7 for a slice....

Cinnamon Rudd-Haack

Amazing! In the words of my mom, "Everything was excellent!" This was my first time here, but it won't be my last. Delicious!!!

Lydia Gresham

As always, Honeypie's food and service are absolutely top notch! The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because the prices are now almost unreasonable. My $16 meal and $6.50 slice of pie were delectable and both made of locally-sourced ingredients. However, I'm a believer that in order to create real sustainable change, such as eating locally + supporting small business (the whole foundation on which Honeypie stands) there needs to be financial accessiblity. Fresh, local food already feels like a privilege instead of a right to many members of our community and paying $30 (food + drink + tip) for a single meal only served to reinforce that idea in my mind.

Melissa Berther

If you want to have a slice of pie and just chill and read this is the place to go.. I ended up getting two slices of pie with the delicious coffee to pair with it. I will be back when I'm in the area. Such a quaint place with farm like features even in the bathroom!!

Matt Falvey

Local ingredients, great food. Very popular, so you might have to wait during busy times.

Bill Seliger

Great food made from fresh, local ingredients.

Carrie N

Great food, wonderful pies, and loved the service.

Victoria Worden

I order pies from them for my wedding and they did an AMAZING job. They were definitely quality pies and guests were blown away by how delicious they were! Honeypie had everything prepared and ready for me exactly when they said they would and one or two of the pies had just come out of the oven when I picked them up. I will definitely be back to order more pies from them! Thank you Honeypie, the pies were a hit at my wedding!

Sara Libbey

Sweet! Nice beer selection

David Mullins

Had an amazing scramble....wife loved the food too....pie topped it off

Adam Schlaegel

Wow this place is super hip and they have all kinds of great food, It's so rich and delicious, this place really isn't diet friendly but it is vegan friendly and their drink selection as all locally sourced as well as all of their food. The price is a little high but in this case it is justified. Super friendly staff. The only drawback is the place is a little cramped.

Allison Sedmak

Great ambiance. Great food. Great staff.

Marty Medina

The Comet Cafe of the south side. Great American dishes with many vegan options. Great for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. Good ambiance. Great Bayview vibe. Service is hit or miss but generally good.

Angela Grimm

Delicious pie, cheesecake, and coffee!

Kathryn Lehman

Delicious food, cute decor!

Susan Hogg

Excellent food! And we had impeccable service! Worth parking a block away.

Daniel Magallanes

Very friendly customer service. I ordered the the French toast brioche which was fantastic. To me the menu was limited but I was very satisfied with my meal.

Todd Hollfelder

Spectacular baked goods! Small restaurant and bar in a pleasant, charismatic atmosphere. The menu looks amazing, unfortunately I didn't eat there this visit. I was in the market for tasty and attractive birthday goodies, which I readily found. However, this location isn't where you go if you want whole cakes and pies. Their other location supplies the baked goods but you can order in advance and pick up here. I'm looking forward to my next visit when I'll make time to eat, have a drink and enjoy a dessert!

Adam Christians

Great pie, great food, and great service. Good vegan options.

Jake Mellgren

Found the waitress to be rude. We got pie. The pie was mediocre at best. The whip cream topping was tasteless and had a weird texture. For 2 pieces of pie and a cup of coffee we were at $20. For that price I would have expected much better coffee and much better pie. The atmosphere is not worth that price tag. On top of that I just found a piece of hair in my pie.

Arika Kaosa

Great service and food here.

Todd Murray

Creative food selection. Had the smoked salmon hash, and was impressed. Crowded for brunch, so think ahead.

Julie Hagen

Just okay. Great service. But really over priced. Not outstanding

Matt Dowell

Charming, and very good service. The food was very good, but not spectacular.

Will H

Tasty comfort foods, some traditional and some with a creative approach to something original.

A Ro

The service was great and helpful in stating how they could adjust to dietary restrictions. The food was beyond delicious and hit all over my palate. This Foodie is very pleased!

Amanda Volpentesta

Picked up two pies for my dad's bday, classic key lime pie and tiger pie, totaling $70! The shocking sticker price must be because of the shop's trendy location, because that price surely doesn't come from the flavor. It seemed that all of my family members didn't care too much for the pies. Very disappointing! The cream is literally tasteless. I will say the filling and crust on the key lime pie were good. Next time I'll save tons of money and just go to baker's square or any other pie shop, besides honeypie.

John Warner

Excellent food and service nice atmosphere

It’s been a few years since we’ve been to Honeypie, so when we had some out of town guests who wanted to check it out for brunch, I was pleasantly surprised to find it was better than I remembered! Honeypie is a Bay View staple, however in the past I have felt like it was a little overrated…always a long wait with no option to make a reservation, a little pricey for what you get, etc…but this visit has me wanting to go back soon! We signed up on their waitlist after walking in around 11AM on a Saturday, and we were told about 25 minutes. Our wait time was accurate, and they now have a system to text you when your table is ready, as well as an online wait list you can view. Much better than the old way of the paper list sign-up and trying to squish your party near the bar to get a Bloody Mary while you wait. We ended up on the patio, which was perfect for a nice summer day and a great atmosphere. I started off with the Bloody Mary with jalapeno-infused vodka which was excellent. The pickled jalapenos were a nice touch and the Bloody was the perfect amount of jalapeno without being super spicy. I ordered the Ham Biscuit plus a side of potatoes, my significant other chose the Breakfast Casserole, and our dining companions went with the Biscuits and Gravy. All of the food was excellent – everyone enjoyed their meals. I really didn’t need the side of potatoes as the biscuit was so big, but the potatoes were great. I could go on about the biscuit though – probably the best biscuit I’ve ever had. So. Delicious. Flaky, buttery, perfectly cooked, and nicely balanced with the ham and cheese. I want to go back soon just to order it again. I tried some of the Breakfast Casserole as well, which was also delicious, if a little on the salty side. We had a great brunch at Honeypie, and the next time we have an excuse to get brunch, I will definitely be voting we return! The service was good, and the atmosphere was great – and the improved wait time/system was a huge plus. I’ll be dreaming of that biscuit in the meantime!

Joan Jet

I was lusting for some midwest eats after 4 months in Santa Fe. Ordered their Chicken Pot Pie and it was delicious! My son had the jackfruit sandwich (vegetarian) and said that it was great too. We each had a slice of pie, outstanding!

Linda Pawelski

My husband and I had brunch today, our first visit to Honeypie. The pulled ham biscuit was very good, with really tender meat, two cheeses and a fresh egg. My husband had the hearty portion of biscuits and gravy. He said it was tasty but would have liked more meat in the gravy. Good coffee, good service and nice atmosphere. We'll be returning to try some pie next time.

Nathan Budzinski

Try the pie. You won't be disappointed I promise

Angela Padgett

Love the ambiance...love the food but best of all the pies....ahhh so delicious! Never disappointed.

Heather Paterick

Great food and service.! The inside is super adorable very inviting. The pies were fantastic also!!

Subhendu Pandit

The pecan bourbon pie is heavenly!

Scott Mc Cullough

Went to Honeypie before the Bucks game. Had the stake Benedict it was awesome! Thanks

Chetla Jackson

Great place. The food was delicious and it was a really great atmosphere.

Julie Marlow

We just ate here after our courthouse wedding. Food was excellent and the server (I forgot to get his name!) was great!

Irene Magdalena

I enjoyed the atmosphere of the cafe! Meghan, our server, was nice and upbeat. The best thing about this place is DEFINITELY the pies.

Mark McGarvey

The service was very good and the food was amazing. The interior of the place is great with the old time feel.

David Wean

Amazing farm to table, Midwest American cuisine. Casual dining with food that tastes like fine dining. Nice selection of craft beer and wine and fresh baked goods. Try the pork fries!

Linda Haenitsch

Food was fantastic service was a little slow but we went on a Saturday morning

Jose Olavarria

Biscuits and gravy and pork fries are so awesome we love coming here. They have great pies as well.

Deborah Bradford

Everything from beginning to desserts was fantastic! Menu was original and diverse. All three of us are looking forward to returning!

Guen A

The food here is always on point and the staff is lovely. They switched to a breakfast all day option on the weekend as well! Plus great pies and cupcakes.

Richard Kohl

We have been there many times but tonight 4/5/19 was a disappointment. Pot pie was filled with a mushy pasty substance with a 4 tiny chicken pieces. Invisible vegetables. Second entry of pulled pork sandwich was barely warm, even cool in parts, no slaw, and very dry. Roasted potatoes soaked in oil. Best part were the 2 cocktails. Very disappointing that our server couldn't even say she was sorry food was unsatisfactory. We hope this is not a sign of poor things to come for the restaurant.

John Kokoris

A restaurant with cool vibes in a cool neighborhood that I (a Chicagoan) hadn't heard of. Definitely worth checking out. I've been here twice. The pie is fantastic but the dinner options are wonderful as well.

Nikki G

Amazing food! Got the pulled ham biscuit, substituted the mornay sauce for bearnaise and it was delicious! Best Benedict I've had thus far!

Steve Leer

Loved it great food good service reasonable pricing great for Father's Day

Dianne Greeno

Very good food. Nice hometown atmosphere

Sara Carse

Food was really good but vegetables advertised were sparse. The corn muffins we're amazing!

Ingrid Gunther

Honey pie was a neat place to visit. My sausage bagel was delicious and very filling. My husband ordered the mushroom scramble and it was very greasy, he only ate about half his meal. I was delighted but he was disappointed.

B. Alan Hart

Locally sourced ingredients prepared with care. This is one of the best places to eat in Bay View. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, and the food is out of this world. Highly recommended.

james wilson

Not bad could be better

Jennifer Owens

Little spendy, but when you figure they support local purveyors, plus donate back to community, you cannot go wrong. The pies are to die for, especially the apple bourbon walnut! Worth the trip!

Eric Heintz

The desserts are very delicious!! Definitely a great stop in Bayview, stay is friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed! Good food and very filling!

Meredith Carr

Great service. Delish.

Adam Knutson

What an incredible meal. Locally sourced food that feels like it was designed on your plate. I was blown away by the quality of the food. Treat yourself to Honeypie if you are in Milwaukee.

Jesse Gifford

Excellent brunch place! Cute location, with delicious food and mimosas. Also their cheesecake and pie is great!

Joshua Thomas

Great food. Patio in thr back was cool.

LoneWulf 005

Had the pulled pork sandwich. It was delicious.

Don H

Just stopped in today for a quick beverage. The selection is always top notch. Prior visits have always been very nice for food, dessert, or atmosphere. Very attentive staff.

Jennifer Longson

Dear god this was fantastic. Breakfast casserole, corn muffin, and key lime pie and everything is perfect. Go on an empty stomach.

Anisa Silva

Ordered two slices of pie and two different cupcakes to-go for $27+. I have had better quality from chain restaurants at a fraction of the cost. The cupcakes tasted weirdly burnt and the pie crust was falling apart and uneven.

mike wester

Delicious food at reasonable prices. A little bit for everyone at this place, the pie is great too!

Michael Fischer

Everything I’ve ever eaten here is amazing!

D Gehling

Very, very good. Excellent piled high burger, very good fries... And the French silk pie is Not to be toyed with... Just you watch yourself with that one

Stephanie Love

We loved this breakfast with farm fresh local ingredients

Diamond Cole

I also ordered the salmon hash and surprisingly it was rather small. Disappointed in the size but it had great flavor! The French toast was great a little on the heavy side but tasty nonetheless.

Ian Carroll

Very cute little restaurant. Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere is great. The food is delicious and so is the pie! Definitely have to get a slice of their pie when you're there. They also have a full service bar if you want a good cocktail or drink. Highly recommend going, one of the top spots in Bayview!

Mike Beuche

From grilled cheese to brisket burger, excellent fare. Food n drinks served by caring people. Worth the trip.

Zac Wise

This place is amazing the food is always fresh. My mom always loves the fish fry on fridays but make sure you get there early they do run out.

Christie Perez

Only had coffee and pie to go, but based on that I would love to come back again and try more of the food! We got sweet cream nitro cold brew (I think?) and it was phenomenal! We took raspberry and the coconut key lime pies to go. They were $6 and $7 each, and even as a Chicagoan I thought that was expensive, but they were absolutely delicious.

Emilio Dlism

It's usually easy to pass on long waits when there are other options nearby, but something told me to wait it out and I'm glad I did. Our group of 3 finally got in and started off with a Bloody Mary each. It was good but maybe a little plain. I can't tell you how different the house signature is from their "regular" bloody, but they were both decent.

Leah

The food was amazing! I had the grilled cheese sandwich, the cheese was aged 3 years & was absolutely stupendous. My close friends ordered the "burger slam" which was perfect & the honey pie burger which they also liked very much. We ordered corn muffins as an appetizer & they were superb! The waitress, Lily was so kind & a great waitress. We enjoyed her patience & advice for what to order. The restrooms where all gender non-conforming & it was very nice to see! I felt very respected at the resturaunt. Overall, the food was amazing & a must go to resturaunt in Milwaukee! Some of the money even goes to a womans shelter!

Kimberley Fraser

Must try their brunch menu if you’re in the Milwaukee area. Atmosphere is warm and friendly, staff is amazing, and the food is to die for! Love this place!!

Qing

Food tasted fantastic. Great service even when they are pacmed. Best part is that they leave a big pitcher of ice water at the table.

Conrad Reichert III

Absolutely perfect poached eggs. Delicious sauce and wonderful service.

Pete Dorn

Great place! Good food! Great service!

Loribeth Chenault

Delicious pie and cupcakes. Not a cheap dessert, but worth it and the servings are huge. Very sharable. Also has regular comfort fare. Locally sourced where possible. I recommend the corn muffins and creamy mushroom soup

Tamar Ingleby

Menu is always changing with great new menu items. Loved everything I’ve gotten for brunch, try to save room for pie! I enjoyed the trivia cards on the table.

Josie Gehler

We were looking for an eatery that offered a variety of foods. We found it! We didn't have room for pie, so we'll be stopping on our way back through

Levi Johnston

Great food. Try the schnitzel Benedict and apple pie!

Stefanie Klopp

Delicious. Great pie. Beautiful patio.

Stehan Z

Great service.....great place....awesome food!...and locally sourced

BigDaddy Stein

Good food, good service

Della Clark

I drove 25 minutes one way to get pie slices myself and a neighbor. Their pie was worth the time and the traffic!!! Everything was Oh My Goodness yumminess!!!

Sam Tyriver

Amazing food, service and pie! Busy, but I can understand why. 10/10 great place.

Reba Jann

Yummy! Great comfort food

Kortney Marshall

My favorite brunch spot in Milwaukee! The corn muffins changed my life

David Berardi

After reading the reviews I was expecting much more. Food was meh and prices were high especially for a city like Milwaukee. Burger was ok and the pulled pork was average. The hand-cut fries were overly salty. We couldn’t leave without trying the pie which was probably the only reason to go there. Pie was good but not worth going out of your way.

Sam Brauer

We weren't actually planning on going here at first. We had plans to go elsewhere but they were full, so we looked around and happened on this place, and but am I glad we did. Everything here is amazing! The atmosphere is nice with a friendly staff. And the food is beyond good borderline criminal! If you come here you MUST order one of there pies! I guarantee that they are the best ones you'll have eaten. They also have Trivial Pursuit on every take so you can play at your leisure just for fun. Highly recommend this pace to anyone in the area!

Kaitlynn Houghton

Food was great!! I got the breakfast casserole and it was very good! I also got a piece of pie which was delicious but... the service was absolutely horrible!!!! Waited very long to get service in general while sitting at the bar and then were given the incorrect menus. Eventually we moved to a table and our water pitcher was never refilled the entire time we were there. I watched other tables try to get their servers attention and it was impossible. A gentlemen I didn't know sitting at a table near by made eye contact with me and we laughed because we both were trying to get the attention of the severs and couldn't. I didn't see name tags on any of the staff but our waitress was a young brunette lady who was always chitchatting with the chef in the kitchen. I walked over to the bar to ask a question to her and I wasn't even acknowledged. I stood there watching them talk, then it seemed like acted like she didn't see me, walked in the back and then came out with not the greatest look on her face to see me still standing there waiting to talk to her. Overall the place was pretty small but trendy and cool place to grab some great food and pie if the service wasnt so bad, I would probably recommend it.

Mason Lugo

Great place! Love the burgers and fries! Also excellent pie. And good beer selection. If you find a spot to park on KK take it if not the side street is usually a good place to look

William Reichert

We stopped on our way through town. They have the best biscuits and gravy, I got it with a mushroom sauce instead of sausage gravy. PHENOMENAL!!!!!!

Phil Chatman

Small place with a big presence. Sunday brunch was just about the best ever. Mother's day 30 minute wait but very much worth it. What a treat

Nick Hudgins

Pie is probably the best I have had in my over 40 years of life, the service was slow and not as friendly as the atmosphere and home cooked food feel leads on. If the pie was not as amazing as it was, we would of probably walked out.

Feisty_ Cheese

It's so much more than pie! But the pie is F'n Delicious! My wife and I had Honeypie supply the pies for our wedding and people lost their minds over them. Who needs wedding cake when you can have wedding pie?! We love going to eat at Honeypie too. And the drinks are delicious. Please, do yourself a favor and stop in at Honeypie, you'll love yourself more for it.

Pugs Pugliese

One of my favorite restaurants. They're a strong proponent of sourcing locally and create incredible dishes! The staff is friendly and efficient and the food is always spectacular. The pic is of one of my favorite dishes: Pork Fries! French fries with pulled pork, bacon, gruyere sauce, jalapeno slices, and an egg on top!

Mike LeRoy

Schnitzel Benedict was amazing! Meghan took super good care of us and made us feel like family. Will definitely return.

Josh Lucas

What a great place to eat! We picked this place at random from a Google search during a visit to the area. The restaurant is small but operates smoothly. The staff is polite and efficient. There's a small but eclectic menu with lots of choices and then...there's the pie. I don't eat a lot of pie but the black bottom banana pie is

Scott Cuthbert

The food was simple but tasty. It was overpriced for what they served and the plates were inconsistent. Two people ordered the same thing at our table and the portions were very different. There are better places in the area for breakfast dishes with better prices too.

Barb Asselin

Amazing. Food was so good. Will definitely be back for some pie which we didn't have room for.

Tesla Lockwood

This place is amazing! My husband and I have made it a habit to come here for brunch at least once every other weekend. We would eat there every day if we could afford it. It is pricey, but the value of the food is absolutely worth the cost! We tell people to come here all the time; we rant and rave that if you want to treat yourself, this is the best way to do it! Just remember that local farms and well-thought out menus are not forever; Not everything will be in season all the time, so the menu changes, and with it being so delectable items run out as it is first come, first serve. Also, if you want to try their brunch menu, make sure you come after 3:30 PM. Be on the lookout for specials and events, and don't forget a piece of pie!!!!

Cynthia Wolski

Fantastic food with the friendliest staff!

Beth Novicki

Awesome! Food sooo inovative..very friendly, clean, spectacular cocktails. The Trivial pursuit was so much better than the phones people pull out. Had the salmon hash..yummo

Cassandra Mc Namara

Friendly service and super cute place. Only one vegan brunch menu item, but I'd definitely go back for it. Huge fruit bowls are always a plus :)

Jake Mclaughlin

Fresh off a plane and grabbing a grilled cheese. Worth a stop!

Mitchell Lange

If you dont get a piece of pie when your here, you're missing out. Food is excellent and staff is wonderful.

Rose Reingold

My family and I find this as a amazing restaurant, and we're love their delicious, rich pies with their simple charm of the Milwaukee area.

Ross Wilson

Fantastic flavors of fresh food. Everyone in our party commented on the flavorfully food. The appearance at first glance isn't much, bit the food and service make up for it.

Larry Green

My daughter took me there for my birthday and I have been back four times since Great pies.

Jack Zacher

Honeypie is a very cosy and comfortable restaurant that serves great food with excellent service. The wait staff is very kind and makes you feel at home. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, it's very comfortable and there are Trivial Pursuit cards at each table to keep conversation exciting. The pies and desserts are incredible, and there is always a great variety of them. Honeypie is a great date spot.

Bob Schneider

The best pie in the city. Nice atmosphere. Very pleasant staff.

all agog

This place really went downhill. I have had some amazing meals here back in the day, but have had some really bad experiences with food quality the last few times I have visited. Won't return.

Joy Lyn Rehm

Farm to table -soo yummy!

Mark McGraw

Delicious food, great service, and the BEST pies in Southern Wisconsin. Need a longer vacation to sample them all. Wish they had a location in Savannah, we need great pie in the Hostess City!

Myrddin Emrys

The food is quite nice, but it's also very expensive. I think there are better deals in town. The desserts, their signature, are good but tend to be too sweet for my preference.

Eric Stance

Best french fries ever. Employees are really nice and respectful

Brian OKeefe

Ordered a s'mores pie this week after seeing it featured online. Recommend them highly. I have not eaten their yet, but will for sure. Cool place, nice bar The 3 employees I spoke with were very nice. Thank you so much for a freaking awesome desert!

Evan Finch

Mercury was in retrograde so I overpaid for melted weird cheese casserole in a hot ceramic bowl from a trendy restaurant that's really a C+ at its very best; let's Instagram pics of it #brunch #ritaora #unvaccinatedchildren!! <---Honey Pie/Comet Cafe customers

Charles Howard

Best pie that I've had in my life.

Travis Creech

Wonderful place to stop in for some delicious local food. Great selection of alcohol and liquors, breakfast all day (plus other options). Very clean establishment with a cozy layout that provides that homie, but yet sophisticated feel. First time ever being here, decided to let the bartender (who was a sweetheart) order me her favoritie. She brought out some DELICIOUS French toast that was filling but not to heavy. Went great with the beers. If you're wondering where to stop this is the spot. If the service and food arent enough for you (They have homemade pie which was raved about by many there)
