We searched for restaurants in the area and went here. The service was not the best. We walked in and the sign said “please wait to be seated” so we did....... after a couple minutes of not even being recognized, we just sat at the the bar. I ordered the deconstructed tacos, it was so salty i felt i was licking the bottom of a pretzel bag. My wife got the fish which she said was ok, but not at described. The waitress did come back to ask how our food was, but as i tried to swallow quick and tell her how it was inedible, she had already walked away. She didn’t come back for another 15 minutes and by that time we just wanted to go. All in all, not impressed. Will not be back, do not order the taco salad/ deconstructed tacos.

I’m from the Madison area and met a friend here for drinks on June 16th or 17th. We each had a drink, music was good, drinks were amazing. This review would have been at least a four star if it wasn’t for what happened after. Found out the next day that I had two charges on my debit card. One of which was accurate and I definitely signed for. The second was for a different amount, with a different transaction number. Not ours. I called immediately and was told that they were having problems with their system and that the second charge would drop off. Told to call back on Wednesday if it hadn’t. Don’t drop off, so I called back. I explained the situation again, left a message with my phone number, was told they would look into it. Again waited a week with nothing back from them. Called back again, asked for a manager, was told she wasn’t taking phone calls. Explained again and left another message. No phone call back. Almost two weeks later I was writing a google review and I finally hear back. The manager asks if this situation has been resolved, I said it had not. She called me back shortly after to tell me that I had two charges that night and tells me what I was charged for on both, I confirm that the first one was mine, and that we had only had one drink each and left. She sounds annoyed but tells me that she will issue me a refund. Over another week later, I have yet to see it. Really is a shame because I will likely be back in Green Lake more frequently, but will not likely return here.

I've always really liked Goose Blind! We love their outdoor patio seating. Every time we have gone there, the wait staff has been courteous and respectful and kind to our small children. Our kids love their food and atmosphere. We try to make it there once or twice a year when we are in town during the Summer. Is it noisy? Sure, but any place loaded with hungry people will be to some degree. I recommend the burgers and anything taco related.

Our family has gone here for years and years, back when they used to have the all-you-can-eat pizza. Past three times here, the food has been horrible. Cold mac and cheese, cold horrible store brought crust pizza, watered down almost clear ranch dressing. Not sure what happened to this place, but my family and I are in agreement that we will no longer come here ever again. Sad, this place was somewhere we’d always frequent when we were at the lake house.

Was in town for a golf weekend. arrived at about 8:00 Friday evening. Fish Fry on Special. Originally the waitress said they were out of Perch and Walleye but had Cod. then cam back and said they were also out of Cod! What Wisconsin restaurant runs out of all fish on a Friday night??!! i ended up having the Sausage Pasta dish. Awful!! It tasted like Ketchup over pasta. No salad, garlic toast included. As luck would have it we had to come back the next night as all other restaurants were full. we were seated in the patio which was OK until it stared to rain. The roof leaked something terrible. Very poor construction! We had to move and still had to dodge rain drops leaking thru. I ordered the Prime Rib which only could be ordered Medium or Medium Well because they overcooked it! i ordered mine Medium and it came Medium Well. No hint of pink!! My buddy ordered a tap Busch Light. They gave him a bottle because that is what they had. He wanted a tap beer and the waitress did not offer to exchange. Other buddy ordered a Ketel One but they were out of that too! We ordered an appetizer and two of us ordered the Prime Rib with a side salad and the other two split a pizza. All of the food came out at the same time!! Appetizer, pizza, salad and Prime Rib!!!! How is that even possible!! My baked potato was also hard which by this time just seemed about right. Two nights and two terrible meals. Never again! Maybe they can make a good burger and serve you a beer if you order the correct one.

Good spot for pizza and a beer. I've been coming to the Goose Blind for years as part of a family reunion tradition. We always get good pizza and some Spotted Cow. Throw in a decent claw machine and you have a pretty solid afternoon that won't put you out too much cash. It might not be on the lake but it's worth stopping in. Plus just look at this huge pretzel with a baby in it!

Went two days in a row while vacationing in Green Lake. As a vegetarian I was pleased to see they do have options for me. First day I had a surprisingly delicious veggie burger. On the second day, our waitress, Tiffany(also amazing and quite pretty), suggested a black bean taco salad, which was absolutely phenomenal. Homemade salsa and guacamole!! My carnivorous family members loved their food but who cares about them =P

We had a waiter that was very new to the scene. He didn't ask how we would like our meats cooked and forgot to ask if we wanted dessert. However, he was very polite and he did definitely try hard to remember everything he's supposed to do. He also was very attentive to our drinks and making sure everything was good at our table so I don't fault him for the couple of things mentioned above. The food was very good. We even ordered their cheesecake of the day, which was extremely good. It is a do again place as the prices were reasonable and the food and service were good.

First visit to Goose blind was not planned. We were in town for the first time and went to the first place that came up in a search. Service and food were amazing. I decided that for the following mother's day (about a year later) I wanted to go back because I had such a nice experience. What a disappointment! We made reservations because we thought it might be busy. It wasn't. There were plenty of open tables. Then we sat and waited for about 10 mins before the one waitress on our side of the restaurant came and asked us what we like to drink and apologize for the wait we ordered our appetizers and our drinks appetizers came out quick and turned out to be pretty good then we ordered our food and waited and waited for about 25 minutes some of our food came out cold while the rest of us waited some more for our food. We ended paying for our drinks and appetizers and leaving. I was so upset. I had all my children with. Told them what a great place this was and it ended with such disappointment. We will not be returning.

Should be named, The Blind Bartender instead since BOTH bartenders somehow ignore a group for the majority of their stay. We were ignored and felt like it was an inconvenience when we asked for anything. They somehow kept their backs to us for almost 15 minutes as we were struggling to get drinks while sitting at the less than half crowded bar. We enjoyed the kareoke that was there that night. We did NOT enjoy the abundance of 10 year old kids bothering everyone within earshot though. You CAN bring kids into the bar but SHOULD you?

Thought it would be a great experience. Full parking lot cars on the street thinking “this is the place to be.” Well stopped thinking it was Sat night and Prime rib was advertised on the web site as the special only to find out rib eye was the special and no prime rib needless to say when we ordered around 6:30 we were told they were out of the special. My husband had the Prime Rib sandwich and let me tell you it was so dry and flavor less. I hat the Black bean burger and it was all burnt black bean, burnt with little flavor. To top it off we had a new waitress that tried her best witnessed patrons upset they were waiting for food for > 30 min and they had to track down the staff. Not a great experience

Cheap atmosphere (music dated). Server was fine (quick to deliver food, slow on the check). Menu wasn't well thought out (cheesehead burger was too ambitious even though the patty was tasty and lattice chips are just bad potato chips). Burgers are decent, but not enough to distinguish themselves (try interesting cheeses and meats). Has some good beers (loved the local and seasonal varieties). You won't hate it, it'll do the trick to fill you up, not much else.

It was a Sunday afternoon that we went to this place after a long motorcycle drive. My boyfriend's phone ran out of batteries on the drive. Once we got to Goose Blind , they greeted us warmly. After my boyfriend mentioned about his phone, our waiter went and got a charger stand for him to use! Not only do they have an awesome customer service, they also have some of the best drinks, like the peach cider one that I cannot remember the name of. They also have wonderful pizza! Now, it was my first time there so I have not ordered everything from their menu but their menu sure did surprised me. Would recommend, 10/10. A little pricey, sure, but would return, 10/10.

Personally I wouldn't even give 1 star, but it wouldn't let me. We went as a group of us, it was close to 9pm on a Saturday, and the place was dead. Our waitress was great and I really felt bad for her. 60% of what we ordered was out and was substituted for something else. They didn't have sour cream or salsa for the nachos. They didn't have lettuce for the burgers. They didn't have any chicken. They were out of Malibu for mixed drinks. The soup, sandwiches, and fries came out cold. Another one of the sandwiches was a small piece of meat and the rest was very clearly a big chunk of greasy white fat. The waitress apologized over and over again (not her fault) she spoke with the manager, who couldn't be bothered to come speak with us. The manager then had the waitress come tell us that we didn't have to pay for anything, which we were happy with...but the manager should have been the one to come tell us, not the waitress. We will not go back.

Limited choice of food types. Ordered a 12 oz ribeye medium rare. Came out burned dry and like a very thin burger. Brought a new one which was ok. Prime rib rub had an off flavor from the seasoning and was at least half fat. Baked potato was rewarmed. No salads or soup with any meal without an extra charge. I wish the owner is accessible I truly want my $70 back the place was not clean either, I contacted the local health department after what I saw.

What happened to the Goose Blind??? We stopped by last week, it's been a couple of years. Got to the bar, took forever to get a drink, 2 bartenders were too busy talking to wait on customers. Had flag them down to get a drink. Finally got seated, waitress not the sharpest pencil in the pack. We ordered 2 cheese burgers and a pizza. The pizza was great. Our burgers were ordered medium, nothing special. Mine came almost raw I think they showed it a picture of the grill and called it good. Cheese wasn't even melted on it, the other came medium rare. I sent mine back after trying to find the help. My burger returned a hockey puck with burnt cheese on it and the fries were ice cold. I complained but got nothing in return. What a waste of money. It was okay, at best. Typical Wisconsin bar/restaurant, emphasis on the bar side. We came in the early afternoon and were seated in the bar area. Staff were friendly and the place was clean. We ordered the "garbage can" nachos, wings, and the mac and cheese. Food was edible, but nothing to write home about. The atmosphere may have detracted from our enjoyment somewhat. Some advice for the owners: 1. If you're going to seat diners in the bar area in off-peak hours, try to tone down the noise level. Listening to people pound dice on the bar is not my idea of a good time. 2. Train your waitstaff better. If they can't answer simple questions about the menu, like "how hot is the 'sweet chili' wing sauce", it doesn't look good. 3. If you advertise a "happy hour" discount on drinks and appetizers on a chalkboard literally five feet from me when I'm seated in the bar, and I tell the waitress that I'd like to order "happy hour" appetizers", I expect to see the discounted price on my bill. By that point, we were ready to be gone and didn't want to wait around and argue about it.
