First let me start by saying the food and drinks at this place are very very good. Drink menu is very unique and they have a lot of great options...all very tasty. The food options are also unlike those that you would regularly see at this type of restaurant. Many options no matter what kind of food you like. And you can roast marshmallows for dessert, which is pretty neat. The disappointing part was the slow service (it wasn't busy). I know the cocktails are made with great ingredients, but you wait an unusually long time to get them. Same goes for the food. The staff could benefit from being a little more attentive and proactive. I'm all about not being constantly hounded by your server, but this was too far on that end of the spectrum. I'd definitely return, because the drinks and food were great, and cross my fingers that the service improves.

Best Tosa night spot hands down. Good for dates, biz meetings, special occasions or drinks with friends. It's a uniquely awesome place that is a hidden gem that shouldn't be so hidden. Do yourself a favor and cross the tracks from downtown Tosa and find yourself transported into something amazing.

First time trying the new menu. Risotto was simply wonderful. The goat cheese appetizer shared by 3 of us was so good we got another. Garlic fries appetizer was good. Chicken lettuce wraps....YUMMY. definately a must have. Great place.

A reliable Wauwatosa restaurant for American fare on the fancy side. Great for birthdays and group dinners, but also nice for one-on-one dates. The menu has interesting preparations of well-known dishes, and everything is usually quite good. It can be a bit loud at times, but it has a cozy feel.

Nice atmosphere especially with holiday decorations. Great appetizers. I recommend the bacon wrapped dates and roasted brussel sprouts. The drinks are generous. But I was disappointed with the pesto pasta (which I always try when I find it on a menu) because it was bland and not served hot.

The restaurant has a nice vibe and the service was good but the entire party of five I went with was disappointed by the food. The breading on the calamari was unbelievably salty. I got the pork chop and the mashed potatoes were bland and the sauce was overpoweringly sour. Two of my friends got the firefly burger and said it was far to garlicky. And on top of all this it was pretty pricey!

Not vegan friendly, and what's worse I called ahead of time to ask if they were after seeing their menu wasn't. The GENERAL MANAGER said if I made arrangements ahead of time they could accommodate me, so I made a reservation. When I got there, their 'accommodation' was to tell me fries and salad are vegan, or I could take half the ingredients out of another menu item to make it vegan. Thanks, I couldn't have figured that out myself. Then they had a vegan waitress take our table because that makes it better they don't have an actual meal for me. Total waste of my night. Don't eat here.

We went to Firefly because we had heard about the S'mores at your tables. We never actually got to order them because we were all so full and satisfied at the end of dinner we couldn't squeeze them in. We will go back to try them. We had a great time. The waitress knew the menu very well and was friendly. Great service! The place looks really cool and was comfortable.

I am the mother of the groom and want to express my displeasure for Firefly Tosa in hosting our rehearsal dinner. Leading up the event, the manager was forgetful in notifying me when the Spring menu came out. If it was not for me calling days after I was supposed to receive the menu, I do not feel confident I would have been contacted. Our party was understaffed, only two servers were assigned to our rehearsal dinner party. The first group of guests (approximately one-third of the 37) provided drink orders to servers, however, waited 30 minutes or more for drinks to be delivered. The balance of guests waited 40 minutes. When inquiries were made, servers indicated the restaurant/bar was short one bartender. As a result, one of our party server’s was not only taking drink orders but making the drinks as well, therefore, adding to the delay. My son (the groom) and I brought the situation (long wait for drink orders/delivery) to the manager attention; he rudely failed to offer absolutely any remedy whatsoever. He childishly accused the party of being late as an excuse for the bar being backed up. In fact, he ignored the party nor provided absolutely no further inquiry, customer service or contact with the large party/host at any time during the evening. In summary, management’s failure to provide adequate customer service, glaring rudeness and lack of concern in any manner during the evening was troubling. As a result of the long delay in servers taking and delivering drinks; in order to expedite this embarrassing situation, the GROOM HIMSELF felt it necessary to take guest drink orders, go to the bar, order individual drinks and PERSONALLY DELIVER TO HIS OWN GUESTS!!!!!!! Rather than socializing with guests, the guest of honor was taking and serving drinks!!! What an embarrassment to the bride, groom and host for an event planned for over 6 months!!! What a poor reflection on the management. (The 2 assigned overworked servers performed admirably and were a bright spot of the evening, but even them appeared embarrassed as well). In conclusion, the restaurant received substantial revenue as a result of the 3-hour event, however, provided grossly inadequate customer service. Two servers for 37 guests with one doing double duty (i.e., also making drinks) reflects poor and inadequate management planning resulting in an embarrassing event for the hosts. The manager cowardly did not even bother apologizing and thanking the group at the end of the evening. As a matter of fact, he was nowhere to be seen at the end of the evening.

I had my wedding rehearsal dinner at Firefly and was extremely disappointed with a number of factors. First, for a private room of over 40 guests there were only 2 servers. Because of this the whole evening ran so slowly! When we asked why there were only 2 servers for our private event, the manager told us "That's just how we do it, we only provide 2 servers for events". They could BARELY keep up with drink orders, food came out really slowly, etc. Several guests walked to the main bar to get their own drinks including the groom, maid of honor, and mother of the bride (all guests who should have especially taken care of). Second, there were logistical concerns around dessert that were never addressed. Before booking the event, we were told that "guests would have a choice of 2 different desserts and the servers would ASK EACH GUEST if they wanted dessert or not". The night of the event the servers did not ask anyone about their dessert choice, then every guest was all served the same dessert. Lastly, when my mother-in-law reached out to the manager to discuss her frustrations it took a really long time to even get a response! After waiting for replies and and some back and forth, all the manager offered is a gift card to Firefly. We all live in Illinois so a gift card for a restaurant in Wisconsin, to a place we are dissatisfied with is HARDLY the solution we were looking for. We booked the place based on positive comments from friends who live in Wauwatosa and had eaten there for dinners, but that was clearly a mistake.

There's no parking lot (that I could see) so you'll probably have to park somewhat far away and walk there unless you're lucky enough to find street parking outside.

It was a group of 3 of us initially. We came in for happy hour. One of us ordered endless fish fry, one of us ordered an appetizer. The other undecided and in came the 4th person. We all ordered drinks but still unsure of what food we wanted. When the fish fry came we all wanted to taste it. So it was 3 small pieces we all broke a tiny piece of fish to taste. We said it was delicious and wanted to order. When the manager came back the person that ordered the fish fry said I would like another piece of fish since it’s endless. The manager said unfortunately it’s not bottomless if you share. At that point we weren’t able to place our orders because we were frustrated on the treatment considering we would not have tasted her food at all had we known that her giving us a taste would stop her endless fish that was $16. When we spoke to the manager she stated that we are trying to take them out of business and she cannot share her food with anyone. We were devastated! At that point we didn’t want to order anything else we asked for the bill and we felt bad for asking to taste the fish and our friend was charged $16 for 3 tiny pieces of fish. I thought the manager was very rude and could have at least asked the last 2 of us if we wanted to order something before she just assumed we were all trying to eat them out of business! I couldn’t believe the treatment and the attitude in the communication. My boss takes us here a lot on group lunches so I figured me and my girlfriends would b treated well at happy hour! I called my boss immediately to tell him how we were treated and to never bring our department here for another lunch or dinner outing! So disgusted with the treatment of this place!!!! Don’t waste your time here!!! U may eat them out of business if u request to taste anything!!!!

The service was terrible. We waited almost 45 minutes just to get our drinks on a Thursday evening at 6:30, and the service continued like that throughout the evening. We never received an apology for the terrible service , and had an automatic 20% gratuity added onto our checks. I spoke with the manager who gave an insincere apology. I’ll never be returning.

We were just at Fire Fly for our special Mothers Day brunch... it couldn't have been worse. Our waitress was so busy that she barely stopped at our table to get a drink order. We ordered 3 courses and waited over 30 min patiently with 3 children (5 and under ) until we asked our server when our first course (salads) would be out... she said there was still 2 tickets in front of us. Our children were very hungry so we decided to leave. No one apologized for our terrible service and the extremely long wait, in fact all they were concerned about was getting us to pay our $20 drink tab. It is extremely hard to find another place to eat on Mother's Day with a large group. This was inconvenient on so many levels including the fact that one of our guests is disabled and to get him out of he house and into a restaurant is extremely difficult. An apology or some bread would have made a huge difference, but no one seemed to care.

Less than pleased with the wait time for food at this restaurant. Although we were seated in a timely manner on a Saturday night at peak dining hours we waited an "unusually long time" for something as simple as sliders! We, a simple two top, waited for an appetizer longer than larger tables who ordered after us enjoyed their meals. The waitress continuously assured us"they'll be right up" when in fact they weren't. The atmosphere and decor exceeded expectations. Our waitress was less than attentive but very nice. Too bad that counts for nothing when you're starving and the clock is ticking because you're also paying a babysitter! Needless to say we left hungry, but not thirsty. Most of the drinks that we ordered were comp'd by a manager who was some what understandable. We left disappointing and hungry. We dined else where this evening and our return visit for redemption will be a while. Diners be where, don't go hungry and skip the appetizer because it might be awhile.

I was so looking forward to good food. Instead I got bland food and so did my BF. I had pork chops he had salmon. Even the beet salad was bland. Suggestion to chef add a little seasoning to meat before you cook is. Add orange puree or o. juice to beats it helps with earthy taste and dont rinse them after you steam them

A very nice restaurant, relaxing atmosphere, romantic destination for a special dinner or occasional. Friendly, gracious staff willing to make it a special evening. We have been there only a couple times both holiday Christmas parties. They made both highly successful. Everyone from the hostess, bartenders, to the wait staff made sure we all had a great time. The food was excellent and the bar had a great selection of wine and spirits.
