As of day this firm receives a score of 4.6 stars out of 5 and that score is based on 114 reviews.
As you can read, the average score it has is basically the highest, and it is based on a very large number of scores, so we can conclude that the rating is quite credible. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well with the service, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to give evaluations when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Sushi restaurant.
Went here for Korean food, and while the atmosphere felt homey, food was underwhelming and really overpriced. Ordered the steak bulgogi for myself and regretted spending that money. The meat, while soft and chewy, was very grainy and dry. The meat has a similar consistency to military mre meats. Will not return here.
Wow... best sushi I have ever eaten. My kids loved it as well!!! If you don't try this place out you are missing a great meal.
love this place, it's perfect, quiet atmosphere great food, and the staff is incredible. highly recommended.
Phenomenal sushi and customer service!
Service is very friendly, atmosphere is really cute and homey/warm, and the food is AMAZING, very fair pricing and quick/friendly service. The rice was cooked perfectly in our dishes, and everything was seasoned/paired extremely well! I only wish they had Bibimbap on the menu!!
I would say the best sushi on Wisconsin if not the Midwest.
My wife, kids and I have had several meals here and have enjoyed every time, the food is prepared is awesome and love the small quaint atmosphere!!!
Great Sushi
Excellent food and service
Awesome place great people wow is all I can say! Can't wait to go again
Very good food. Very nice people working there. Basic decor but we like coming here. Have been here many times.
Loved the Sushi and salad dressing BUT hated the Atmosphere.. If you like a resaonably quiet meal, going there means gambling on the bar patronage. Ten years ago the place was so noisy that I went instead to the bar to reconsider staying for the meal. The bar is located in the same general area as the tables.. I quickly decided to eat elsewhere. Yesterday I decided to give it another go and found that the bar was still a problem. Two couples were loudly carrying on with the man running things. This is OK for a bar but not -in my mind- in a pricey dining room. So it's back to Koreana. A great dining experience requires a good atmosphere; also the up charge of $5 for a small salad and miso with my $17 combo rubbed me the wrong way, I grew up near Asia and the first draw to Japanese was their appreciation of tranquility..
Best sushi ever, worth every cent
"Cheers" with sushi
Great food and Great staff! We consistently get take out and eat in - both are great options. The staff are friendly and fun to be around. Sitting at the bar allows for more interaction. #1 item, for me, is the Spicy Tuna Tartar - it is delicious and difficult to not order every time. The house salad dressing is outstanding as well. The nigiri and sashimi is a good size for the price, but stick to the tried and true variations. The Maki rolls go from basic to complex, but do not stay off into crazy variations. The unique drinks on the menu are well worth trying from the bar - and the house sake is just right. Take-out wait time is usually reasonable usually between 20 minutes to 45 minutes depending on how busy they are at the time. Other reviewers complain about the building and bathrooms - The place doesn't appear to have been originally built to be a restaurant and must have been adjusted to work as one, hence the odd bathroom situations (this is an assumption on my part). Overall, I have never had a bad experience with Far East and will continue to patronize their establishment.
Im in love with this restaurant. Our server, who was also bartending, was phenomenal. He was quick, professional, and very sweet. I can't wait to go back, this is officially my favorite place in Appleton. Great Eel.
We’re avid sushi connnoisseurs and I can genuinely say that we have yet to have better sushi. I’d say we head here once a month, and every time we do, we’re greeted like we visit every day. They even remember our drink order! Friendly service in a unique atmosphere with great food — what more could you want?
Yummy sushi
This is my favorite place to get sushi! The staff members are hilarious and welcoming and the sushi is fresh and delicious. I highly recommend Far East!
Cozy atmosphere, and the food is fantastic. Drinks taste a little weak, but not unreasonably priced.
Well for all the rave reviews I wasn't impressed. The atmosphere in the place is odd to say that least, the carpet is very dirty in the dining area, looks like they have never bothered to clean light fixtures and decor. The food was just run of the mill. The tenderloin appetizer was very good. Staff was very friendly.
Excellent service and food as usual. Best sushi around!!
Friendly service and fresh fish. We had a few of their rolls and let's just say the rolls were mediocre. The fish was excellent, the rolls themself had too much rice on them and thus all the contents fell out upon eating them. I ordered a cucumber roll which was a big mistake. Usually these rolls have little pieces of juicy cucumbers but here they have 2 hunks of cucumber in the middle instead. We ordered a scorpion, a volcano, salmon, and a rainbow roll. These rolls were pretty good but some could have used some sort of sauce (like spicy mayo or eel sauce). Honestly expected more and came out disappointed but gave 2 stars because of the staff and service.
Seriously the best place for Sushi, selection for Rolls is a bit smaller but totally worth it! P.s: Spicy Tuna Tar-Tar is AMAZING!!!
Great fresh Sushi!
Absolutely the best philly roll in the valley. I've had some excellent philly rolls, but this one is top notch, and I'm gonna order it every time I go back. Edit: I went back. I got the philly roll. It's good. Get the small one.
Food and service are great, cute little place to eat.
Had the salmon Bento Box. Very good! My wife really liked the sushi! Will come again.
One person serving, bar tending & everything else. Had to get up and ask him for eating utensils. Didn't ask how food was at all. Surprisingly no salt on Asian Food and it needed it bad. Food was just OK. Service kinda SUCKED. Restrooms were a true adventure to a closet.
Best Sushi in the Appleton bar none! Tried everywhere else in the area nothing comes close. Fantastic friendly service, and cozy genuine atmosphere.
Great staff, excellent food.
Always great food and great conversation! Best sushi and apps in the valley!
Great food, cozy. Friendly sevice.
Outstaning service. Servers a knowledgeable, they are very helpful in explaining the several types of food option. The food is,just completely mouth quenching. Id recommend this plave to any one and every one. It quaint, small family owned.
I wish these guys did 100% Korean but the sushi is good too. Very homey small spot with only a few staff that have always been great. I understand we are about 15 years behind LA but Ktown has been so hot in the last 5-10 years please!. I used to hit this spot when it was Mako's and Polly's but the latest family have been Great.
Fresh. Delicious. Fun and sassy service!
It is the best sushi around to me.
The place is small and gives a nice home vibe however the food is mediocre and the staff gave the impression they just wanted me to go away as soon as possible I was there with my sister and she told me she felt the food was bad and service was no good
Fantastic food and service. Ted is hilarious and does a great job!
Best sushi around. Great selection of Korean food and sushi. Wonderful little family run place
Don't listen to Ashley, who can't even spell Tempura. This place is amazing. Real sushi, so delicious I ate two rolls. Cooking reminded me of my Japanese grandma's cooking from a long time ago, especially the Yaki Soba. Go here, it's small, quiet, with wonderful service and food.
We love this place. Dark, quiet, with fantastic food. It's a must if you're in the mood for sushi.
Great little place! Came highly recommended and lived up to expectations. Will be back.
More people need to come here. Open for decades and never packed.
The tenderloin bulgogi bento box is wonderfully flavorful with just the right amount of tasty side options.
Great service and decent sushi rolls. The waiter was very prompt and knowledgeable he recommended making the big shrimp tempura roll spicy which was a great call. It ended up being one of our favorite rolls. The big philly and the rainbow roll were also very good. The spider roll was a bit dry but still good. We will be back for the service and to continue to explore their menu both sushi and otherwise.
Ordered the Spider Maki and the Dragon Rolls. The Dragon rolls included eel and avocado, and I was impressed with how well the eel was cooked. The Maki was very good, and the portions were HUGE! Everything was good, but I was used to smaller portions so I ordered too much! Had enough for the day after, and probably another day if I had trusted it's freshness! Overall, I highly recommend this place!
I was really craving Korean food full of flavor so I decided to try this restaurant out for the first time and I can tell you sadly I got bland overpriced food and won't be coming back. The only thing that was slightly good was the bulgogi. Everything else was literally so bland I had to ask for salt (you shouldn't have to at a Korean restaurant) if you want authentic flavorful food don't go here. I also must add I found the bathroom placing extremely awkward, it's as if you're going to the bathroom in the middle of the restaurant.
Cozy atmosphere and giant sushi! Excellent bento boxes as well.
Absolutely top-notch sushi. Perfect.
Food was good. Roll width is large. The sauce for the Korean dumplings was very good and my husband really liked the tofu tempura.
Delicious sushi and wonderful staff! I'll definitely be back soon
Tempura is always tasty and the sushi is always very well done
Great spot. Good sushi. Recommend.
Fantastic food!!!! You need to go here
This restaurant has been a special occasion place to eat for us. Many years I've been dining here and have never had any disappointment. It is by far the best sushi I've had in the area and in other parts of the country.
Great little hidden gem. Great service, great food. The spicy tuna tartar is wicked good.
This is my all time favorite restaurant! Every time I go here the service is great and the food is perfect. Very cozy and special, I wish more people knew about it.
Very polite and fast service. The food was fresh. Benkobox nice and hot. My sushi was excellent. Will be back.
The steak Bul Go Gi was the most tender thing I have ever eaten! Absolutely excellent service. Great vibe! We will be back!
Really good food moderate price
I loved my sushi! I had the California roll and some sake!
First, I have lived in the area for 27 years and never stepped foot in this spot I now consider Appleton's biggest secret. I have been missing out! We walked in on a Wednesday evening and were seated right away. The gentleman working behind the bar was also our server. In fact, I never saw another staff member but we never felt we were not receiving the attention one expects in a restaurant. The dining area is small. The bar is adequate for perhaps a dozen people?? And the menu selection was good. I ordered the Chicken Bul Go-Gi Bento Box Dinner. I enjoyed everything immensely except perhaps the chicken. The flavor was fine but the chicken was too dry. I did not reduce my rating one star as I typically do if everything is not excellent because everything else WAS fantastic. I'm not sure what I will order when I go back but I will go back. Our party of four spent about $100 mostly due to the amount of sushi we ordered. Update: A return visit July 3 does not change much from above yet it confirms the service is still excellent. We ordered sushi and while I am not true connoisseur, as I have only recently started eating sushi as I am not a fan of many types of fish, the sushi seemed pretty good. The rolls did have a tendency to stick to the serving plate and made it a bit difficult to remove using chop sticks but they still tasted pretty good.
Yep!
My FAVORITE sushi restaurant ever!! If you like spicy- have the tuna tartare!!!!!! If I ever have to have a last meal this would be it!!!
This place wasn't that great. The atmosphere was very small, and crowed. I saw the reviews here and tried it since I heard there sushi was great. The sushi wasn't bad, but wasn't great at all. They're bul go gie dish, or however you spell it wasn't great either. Meat was dry and it just wasn't satisfying. Go to Koreana, that place sushi and dishes are full of favor and taste is completely different from this. Pretty pricey but it is totally worth it.
Absolutely appalling.
Sushi & bento boxes, excellent service, fantastic food. It's my favorite Eastern restaurant
Great food and even better service.
Hours are 5 to 9:30PM. I always want to go here for lunch but never can however going at night has always been worth it. Rolls are cheap but fresh. Bento Box here is actually very tasty with a ton of food. Sake is cheap and wonderful to share with friends over dinner. Decor is really left to be desired. The bathroom is still super scary. And nights flip flop between being super packed to being comfortable. Still my favorite sushi place in Appleton. If place is packed service can be lackluster since they have maybe 2 servers at a time. Plus they have to run the bar.
Amazing food and awesome customer service.
Small and authentic Korean
Best sushi in Appleton. Spicy Tuna Tartar is the best I've had. We've been coming here for 15 years, it's a staple.
