My father has been going there since his college days, and now I am too. one down side I must say that it is a little more expensive that the others but quality is the best of any Chinese restaurant I've had in Milwaukee

We usually do delivery or carry out. My wife loves the sesame tofu. The food isn't mind blowing or anything, but it's good Chinese food. I'm a fan of a few of there soups. Egg drop soup is always a good compliment to what ever you order. And I've always been pleased with anything I've ordered. Delivery is always prompt, and the food is always hot and just what we ordered. Quality Chinese food, at a fair price. As far as dine in goes, we've only been a few times, the service can be a bit slow at times, but again, the food is always great. And the décor? It's a Chinese restaurant strait out of the 60s or 70s. I like it, it's like a set piece out of an episode of "Man from u.n.c.l.e." or " I spy" so throw on your shark skin suit and your sunglasses, and order up some shrimp fried rice!

Been going here for years. Great, great food, the best chinese in Milwaukee in my opinion. Don't miss the pot stickers cause they are to die for. Sesame chicken is another favorite.

Let me first start by saying the food here used to be great! However, I moved back to the area and was so disappointed. The food was disgusting, it had no flavor and was just full of chili flakes. The veggie egg roll tasted like old cabbage. We literally couldn’t eat anything and threw it out. I never complain about my food but I had to in this instance. The customer service was ten times worse than the food. The “manager” David said if I didn’t like it, it was my problem and there was nothing he could do. He was argumentative with me and just plain rude. I was trying to be as nice as I could!! I will never ever ever go back to this place and I hope that the restaurant takes a close look at their management staff.

Best Sesame Bean Curd in the midwest. I moved Minneapolis for a few years, searched high and low for a Chinese place like this with no luck. I am happy to be back and in delivery distance to the Sesame Bean Curd!

Food was good but the ambiance was not! If you dine in, they compulsorily make you pay tip on the bill; it is hand written. My order was of $8.50 and they added tax (no problem) + $1.95 tip. When asked if it is a must to pay, the waitress said a big yes. She was not able to respond to other normal questions asked about the menu in English, but for the tip, she knew it all!

East garden has the most delicious food. Egg rolls and homemade sauce or the best! You can only get homemade sauce if you dine in. Highly recommend if you want a quite, relaxed dim lighting place to eat.

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch for 6 old ladies - one celebrating a 90th birthday. David went out of his way to give us super special attention which was deeply appreciated. The food was excellent and my husband and I will be returning soon.

My wife and I have spent a significant amount of time in China, and from time to time we find ourselves craving the same culinary experience we had there. This is the best example of Chinese cuisine I've found this side of the Pacific. The food is great, prices are reasonable, and service is polite and friendly. We stick to the house specialties, and are happy every time.

This was the WORST experience I've ever had!!! We were seated right away, then waited and waited (about 15 min) before anyone came to take our order. Then waited more, about 25 minutes later 3 of our 6 orders came out. Then, we told someone who worked there some of our group had to go back to work. Instead of hurrying up to get the food out to us for them it NEVER came!!!! They should have done something to help make up for this disaster, but NO just handed us the bill!!! NEVER going there again!!!

Nice looking interior, though small. I didn't look around, but I don't think you could have a party larger than 4. Food was tasty. We enjoyed the veggie egg rolls - crunchy and fairly large. Dinner portions were decent, and the three of us had enough left over to take home. Good garlic flavor on the beef with pan fried noodles. Could have used more beef. The orange chicken had a great glaze with a decent amount of orange zest without being overpowering. The General's chicken contains ginger, which I didn't care for; I had hoped for more heat. Pricing is fair for what you get. Service was good.

I have been going to this restaurant for the past 10 years. This was probably my last time. The quality of the food has decreased significantly. The hot tea I ordered tasted like watered down hot gatorade. The steamed dumplings were mushy. I asked for extra sauce and the waitress gave me about another tablespoon. I ordered the 3 delights chop suey it was so obscenely salty. The chicken was dry and it was mostly cabbage. Barely any other veggies. Sad and disappointing.

I had my first visit with my brother and his wife who go there a lot. I'll be honest, I wasn't crazy about my dish just because I ordered it without thinking that of course I would get the kind of noodles I got. I don't like fried things that much so I should have known to maybe not get the pan fried noodles. It was a really good meal though and the boba was great. I definitely look forward to coming in the next time I'm around and ordering something I know I'll actually like.

Absolutely the worst place!!! I came for lunch and should have realized when only two other people were eating in the entire restaurant. I ordered General Tsos and was told it does not taste like normal at Chinese restaurants, so I ordered the seafood delight. I ordered the dinner portion and received it with one piece of shrimp seafood in the entire dish. I asked for mustard and received a glare and a big huff. She was more concerned with her child who was running around the restaurant. It was beyond disappointing, especially because I chose this place based on the number of reviews. This is the first review I ever wrote but between bad customer service and awful food, I felt obligated. There was no flavor and one shrimp with vegetables and all sauce. I had it to go or I would have sent it back.

We ordered beef and broccoli and general chicken. They were both flavorless, the chicken just tasted like oil, it was disgusting. The beef had no flavor at all and came in a sort of broth, not a sauce. This food was expensive and really not worth it. The amount of food you get for the entrees is really small. There was more beef in my beef lo mein than in my beef and broccoli.
