On a Monday afternoon, 3:15 pm. Only person in the take out section. Ordered a chicken sandwich & fries. 15 minutes later my order was done. Really! Got home & the chicken in the sandwich was tough. How does that happen? Fries were good & plenty of them. No ketchup in package and none was offered. 1st & last time I go there.

Multiple times my order has been incorrect, missing items, cold, not fully cooked (fries still frozen in the middle), etc... tonight is the last straw! We went to pick Up our order and once again it’s missing items, and... none of the staff was wearing hair nets! There’s been hair in my food before and now I know why. New ownership or not, the quality isn’t any better than it was before.

I have been ordering take out from Champion Chicken for years. The customer service in take out has always been somewhat rude but taking it is just take out I ignored it, until a few months ago when I had to inform the gentlemen that takes orders he is extremely rude. Last night I ordered a pizza and when eating a piece I found wood pieces in the pizza. I called this morning at 11:00am so I could inform the manager and was told it was to busy to talk, so I called back this afternoon. Manager did state his name and said there is no "wood" in the restaurant so he does not understand how the wood was in the pizza. This manager was also abrupt and wouldn't let me finish a sentence. so now you get a review. The customer service at this establishment is in the gutter. The food is nothing spectacular to put up with rude people. I just read some of the reviews: All low ratings have to do with rude customer service. I recommend dinner from ANYWHERE else!

Who knew you could get really solid pizza from a place that does great chicken. Pizza is thin crust and delicious and what I like best is that it isn't greasy. Grew up eating here and it continues to be a great place decades later.

Last Friday we ordered a fish fry for delivery, 4:30 pm, earliest they would accept an order. We were told about one hour..which was fine. After 2 hours I called, and was told they were a little backed up and it was on the way. another hour went by, and I asked for the manager, a guy named "Ed" picked up the phone, and in a very aloof tone, he put me on hold for 10 minutes, and came back with another set of excuses, and said it will be on the next delivery. I canceled my order, what a waste of time, and my family had to go hungry for hours because of the jerky attitudes we got. If I could give a minus star rating , I would.

Ordered food for delivery from Postmates. Description of meals was 5 piece tender, fries, slaw and bread 6 pieces of pressure cooked chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, fresh veggies, dinner roll and a cup of frozen yogurt. Order arrived, no bread, no roll, no slaw, no gravy and no custard. Called to make away we were missing half our order and man on the other line argues every point. Me: hi I just had an order delivered through post mates Him: yeah what’s wrong? Me: I got no gravy and my mashed potatoes... (Interrupting me) him: MA’AM yes there was I personally put it on there Me: well I’m looking at it right now and there is no gravy. Him: whatever, is that it? Me: no! My chicken tender meal didn’t get slaw Him: it doesn’t come with slaw Me: then why is it listed on your menu Him: I don’t know Me: I never got my frozen yogurt cup Him: that’s for in store only Me: then again why is it listed on your menu for to go! Him: I don’t know, what do you want me to do about it!? I just hung up, I have never IN MY LIFE been treated so poorly by someone like that. I will NEVER order from them again and I will make sure my companies never order or cater from them again. Thank god Postmates refunded my money. Oh and they upped the charge after it was put in and put my container in the bag on the side so all the chicken, mashed potatoes and corn were mushed together on the side. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

My husband and I had ordered a Fudgeanna ice cream and a philly cheese steak sandwich from this place and they literally took 40 mins to give us our orders. Mind you, there were no customers there besides us. By the time I got my ice cream, it was half way melted already. I also saw some employees without gloves and pulling up their pants and going back to pack food. Not very clean and professional. With this type of service, I'd say save your money and go elsewhere.

I've been trying to get to champion chicken for a long time. I finally took a friend for his birthday, and boy was it DELICIOUS! Very moist and flavorful. We came in through the carryout door and didn't notice the restaurant seating until I was told to go through the restaurant to get to the bathroom. Everyone was courteous and friendly. I plan to return soon.

This place is going downhill fast. Last two times I phoned in a order I was told it would be 20 mins. Both times I arrived on time and had to wait an additional 20-25 mins. Chicken was very salty and almost unedible. Its a shame what has happened to this place under new ownership. Ive been to this location probably 50 times over the years but I wont be back

I'm sorry to say this place was a total disappointment. There was no one to seat you at the door, the air conditioning wasn't on, I felt sorry for the only man I saw running around trying to do everything. It took a long time for the food to come, another customer couldn't even get her change for a long time. We took our bill to pay for dinner to the only cash register in the place, (which was in the pick up area). Everyone was complaining. Unfortunately we will not be returning. We never even received our ice cream.

We ordered from the catering menu and was charged off menu prices for side witch total should have been $53.17. Once my employee came back with the food I was charged 78.09 total, $50.00 for the chicken and $23.60 for the sides. I will never order again from this place or let the drug reps bring it to my office again. The lady on the phone was not trying to hear what i was saying so ill order form golden chicken for now on.

So slow! Ordered a fish fry for carryout on a FRIDAY at 4:37pm. Then I waited. And waited. It was busy so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. At 5:13pm I asked the guy at the counter how much longer until I got my food. He asked what I ordered and handed me the bag immediately. I asked him how long it was sitting there, and he said it "just came out". Sure it did....... Got home and it was cold, no tartar sauce, gross fries. Last time I'm going there. Disorganized staff that should have fish ready to go on a Friday in Wisconsin!

Waitress was very nice but she was the only one working and it took a while for our food and bill. Prices seemed to have gone up some while the quality came down a bit. It was still good but not as good as a year ago. Chicken soup was not very good, watery without much flavor. Burger was good, pizza was good as well. Worst experience ever. Service is so slow, and the most obnoxious patron is clanging his silverware against a plate, talking loudly on a very loud speaker phone while interacting with the waitress with swearing and overly rude conversation. Tartar sauce was literally just mayo, fish was overly deep fried and the fries uncooked. Then they turned on a TV, for no one, again loudly. Hardly anyone is here and now I know why. Never again.

Very comprehensive menu spanning all types of food, all of which I found delicious. Our waitress messed up our order a little bit, however she was very nice and apologetic, the wrong food got replaced very timely and we were offered free ice cream. 1 star off is for the chocolate shake I got, which clearly tasted like Hershey's chocolate syrup, which was disappointing.

First and last time here. It was to exspensive for soggy fried chicken no coleslaw in my bag the “dinner rolls” were Italian slices of bread I bought extra thinking it’d be warm rolls, potatoes tasted like a stick of butter my kids won’t eat any of it either. You live an ya learn I guess .

If I could rate a zero I would. We have used Champion Chicken for the last 3 years at least 3x a year and we have never had a problem. The food was always fresh, seasoned well and delivered at the time we requested. Today we ordered in our usual fashion for Teacher Appreciation Week to honor our teachers for all of the hard work they do and to our surprise the food was absolutely AWFUL!! We spent over $300 and we did not receive half of our order of rolls, the chicken was very salty almost inedible. The chicken was not only salty but half of it was soggy and the other half was very hard. The string beans were half done with a full jar of minced garlic everywhere. The rolls that we did receive were hard and not fresh. The coleslaw was soggy with too much dressing. The chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans were not even luke warm. To top all of that, they were 30 minutes late for delivery.

I should have read the reviews before I even ordered, but that was my fault. This was my 1st and last time ordering from them. Last week I called myself ordering pizza for my coworkers. When the pizza did arrive it looked like all the toppings had slid across the pizza. I instantly called, sent pictures and requested my money back. Never received an apology, but was told they would send a driver back to pick up the pizza which was cool. Almost 5 hours passed with 3 different calls about the pickup and No driver, so I finally got of work and took the 2 pizzas back up there myself. I was told that my money would be back on my card Monday night then another person told me 7-10 business days. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am confident that they will be closing down sooner than later.

Champion Chicken is been a family favorite since I was a young child. Comparing their chicken to anyone else's is hands down the best fried chicken. Everyone working for Champion Chicken are really nice people. It doesn't matter how crowded they may be, they always have a smile on their face and they're pretty accurate when they say your meal will be ready for either dine-in or carryout.

I would give them a zero if possible. We've been going here for 15+ yrs & will not be back. They've recently changed ownership/management. The prices have gone up which wouldn't be a problem if the quality at the very least stayed the way it used to be. That is not the case, the food quality has dropped drastically. The gentleman (using the term loosely here) in the take out area was short on communication skills & rude. He seriously couldn't take a phone order & had to get the girl that works there to take it. I've never seen so few cars in their parking lot. I don't see this landmark establishment lasting much longer if it continues on this self-destructive path. I'll go to another landmark establishment NiteOwl Drive-Inn on Layton Ave by the airport for my dose of nostalgia & amazing food.

Was charged incorrectly and then told I needed to pay the $2 to make up the difference for their mistake. Was given the wrong order and after I paid (twice) was informed they were out of the mozzarella sticks. No apologies from anyone. I'm just waiting for the new management to leave so we can get the old Champion Chicken back.

Not what it used to be! We used to enjoy coming here. But tonight’s service was so slow and inattentive we won’t be back. For much of our meal we were the only ones in the dining room but it still took a long time to get our food, which arrived at different times: 20 minutes for chicken, nearly 40 minutes for a pizza that we ordered for our boys. When I asked about beer, the waitress looked at me like I was crazy and said she didn’t “think” they had beer. (This waitress was clearly inexperienced—lack of training or never been to a restaurant before.) There are lots of other little weird things, too, that added up to bad experience. New management is running this place into the ground. I give it a month.

7/2918: Stopped here on a sunday in the afternoon. We ordered a small pizza, cheese curds and garlic bread. Waited about 10 to 15 minutes for our order. The food was great! Can't wait to go back and try something else off their menu. Parking in front, order at the counter, the only menu i saw was the 4 laminated sheets at the counter. They do have some seating, not a lot, everything was clean that i saw. Did not check out the bathroom. 9/16/18 Stopped in again but this time my friend and I ate in. (Lol, didn't realize they had a sit dow side and a take out side!) Cute rustic / fishing deco, tables or booths and is bigger way bigger than I thought it would be. Same menu items. This time we both went with a salad, we each opted an item or 2 off (salad photo attached is missing tomatoes and eggs). It was huge! We both had left overs! The new owners of the restaurant they are called NYPD the food sucks doesnt taste the same as champion chicken, the brothers that own it, talk to the customers unprofessionally and the service is very slow. I think to be perfectly honest this place is not going to last.

A favorite for almost 20 years...we were VERY disappointed tonight. I even have there phone # listed in my contacts. We have not ordered for awhile so we were shocked with the changes. From previous reviews, it appears they have new management. It is a total disservice to the quality of food they previously offered. We ordered a party tub and the tub of shrimp and a separate pint of coleslaw. I called it in at 1645 and was told it would be ready for pick up in 30-40 minutes. 1. Shrimp is totally different...now butterflied, much smaller. Actually there is NO comparison to previous. 2. Chicken pieces are smaller and have many broken bone pieces. 3. We picked up at 5:15. Entire order was cold...ready for pick up time on receipt said 5:01..meaning it was ready 15 minutes from time of call not 30-40 minutes like we were told. 4. Container of fries were considerably smaller. 5. Coleslaw pint was not filled and is not the same flavor as previous. We are so disappointed with the problems experienced today that we will not be returning which is sooooo very sad. After a 19 year run...its time to say RIP Champion Chicken.

I do believe they are under new management and have a ways to go to get the restaurant running properly. Our delivery arrived quickly, however, the order was almost completely wrong and looked unappetizing. We were told another driver would bring our correct order. An hour or so goes by, still no re-delivery. They seem to be a work in progress. The food has changed majorly, and not for the better, from how it was before ownership changed. I will wait a quite awhile before trying them again.

I've been going to Champion Chicken ever since I was a teen not every week although. Recently I began going every Friday and the Chicken has gotten a lot better. And the kitchen looks a lot more clean, the tables, floor, and the fryers even seem to shine too. I'm not sure if it is new management, but the joint has really improved.

False advertising on their menu. Shows mozzarella sticks in wanton wrappers but don't have them. That's the main reason I frequented them before service got so bad. Since new ownership thought I'd give them a try again. Disappointed.
