Atmosphere is the coolest ever. You must come here on your trip. It’s got a pretty sweet log cabin feel with stick chandeliers and antler chandeliers. Everything in this place screams “IMPRESSIVE” or “COOL” at you. The kids will love the train, too. Fact #1 there are a few foods that do not come out on the train because of their weight. Fact #2 I’m about 5’-11” (yes, I know I’m short) and the table we sat at was unusually high. Sitting as tall as I could, the table came up to the top of my breastbone. I felt like a kid, but I didn’t mind it in the slightest. Fact #3 The food arrival time varies. I saw a lot of reviews that said they waited past an hour for their food, while we go ours relatively quickly. It depends on your situation food: Try the Bacon Chicken Alfredo, it’s fantastic Fries taste like your average fast food fries. The service is great Definitely will be returning. This is the place to eat with kids in the Dells! So much fun for them (okay, and adults, too!) as the train makes circles, switching out toys and even bubble blowers each time. Then the train stops and your drinks or food is on it! The kids love unloading the train at the table. The only problem we have is the argument over who gets to sit nearest the train! ;)

As told by a 2nd grader! "The Best Restaurant in Wisconsin! (4.5 Stars). This is the best restaurant because you can get pizza, cheese balls, broccoli, and lots, lots more. One reason is that there is a very, very, very great hotel right next to it! It’s called the Great Wolf Lodge~ If you know about that show, you probably love it because it’s great! Oh! And it has 2, 3, 4 great swimming pools! One of the pools is not really a pool. But it has a water fort. On the water fort, there are two slides that are green! There is a huge bucket at the top, its filled with water and when it tops, water spills out and it is very loud! OKAY, that’s enough enough, let's get back to the restaurant. One reason is that there is an upstairs and down stairs! The best part is that they serve you with trains! Haha! For example, the trains don’t make the food, but there are train tracks all around and to make the trains go, you have to push a button on the side of the wall! That’s why you should go to the best restaurant in Wisconsin! "

Cute place for kids. They have an awesome Lego setup and it's fun that the train bring the food. The food however is pretty substandard and over priced. Probably wouldn't visit again but it wasn't terrible for the experience.

Atmosphere is pretty fun, service is generally very good. Food is ok, nothing real special because it's pretty touristy. I had a burger, it was good but not $15 good. Fun place to take kids as your drinks/food are delivered on a train that runs tableside.

Had the option to sit at the bar or next to the train. Chose to sit next to the train (which they deliver your food and drinks on). Got the ribs which were pretty good. The lighting was a little dark but the deal breaker for me was that they put a bubble machine on the train and every time it passed bubbles got all over my food. Wish the hostess or waiter would have informed us about this before seating us. It completely ruined my appetite. The bubbles are food grade I was told but I'm picky when it comes to things touching my food and it wasn't just a couple of bubbles, there were a good 50-100s. Great fun for some but not for me. Also the waiter wasnt that great. Never asked or brought me a refill

The Cowboy pizza was the worst pizza I've ever eaten. That includes the cardboard school pizza from elementary school. This one may be on me for ordering pizza at a steakhouse type restaurant but pizza is in their name! My wife got a steak salad that was actually pretty good and my son's chicken tenders were the standard affair. Really the appeal of this place is the train that brings people their food and drinks. My son got a huge kick out of it along with every other kid in the place. It was fun, the employees sent it around with a bubble machine on it a few times too. The wait for food was longer than expected though. We had dinner a little early and the place was not even a quarter of the way full but it had to be close to 30 minutes between us sitting down and getting our food. There are plenty of better options in the Dells, I wouldn't bother with this place again.

Worst buffet we've ever been to. Very small buffet, serving pasta, pizza, and salad. Pizza is terrible, pasta is poor quality with even worse sauce, and even the salad bar was bad. Prices are not justified for overcooked pasta with colored wax sauce. So, so, disappointed. Dont waste your money. The atmosphere and train do not make up for the poor quality and service.

Good food, not great. Nice atmosphere. Kids like the train that goes around and delivers food. Service was just ok. Way overpriced for what you get though. Lunch for 2 adults and 2 small kids consisting of burgers and Mac n cheese shouldn't cost $60, bit I guess that's to be a bit expected considering it's a "tourist" area.

First of all, we had a 20 minute wait, but there was plenty of empty tables at 11:30am. A couple of us had the buffet, and it wasn't anything more than a basic buffet. The pizza and the pasta were both very greasey... A couple of our group ordered off the menu, but both said it really was just OK. The kids did enjoy seeing the food be delivered on the train!

We ate here over spring break. My daughter absolutely loved the train bringing here food. I had the rotisserie chicken which was amazing along with the mash potatoes. Only complaint was the apps. We had cheese curds and nachos. Both were not very good but the main meals we fantastic. Also our server was more interested in getting us out the door i felt rushed no offers on refills or if i wanted another beer

Family friendly restaurant that serves average bar food. Don't come here unless you have kids or love trains & LEGO. The selling point for this restaurant is that your food and drinks are delivered by a G scale train. It's a great gimmick and if you're a train nerd it's very neat. I am a train nerd, so I loved it! Easy access off the highway and plenty of parking. There is an attached arcade to take more of your money.

Very nice place, that being said. The food was average at best. They forgot one persons food, the kids couldn’t hardly eat there chicken strips. The beer wasn’t even cold!!!! The waitress hardly spoke English!!!! Didn’t even know what kind of beer they had on tap!!!! My wife ordered philly cheese steak and the bread was soooooo hard!!!! The pizza was average, reminded me of a frozen thin crust pizza!!! For the money we spent it wasn’t worth it!!! Wouldn’t go back!!!!

I had the Fat Boy bbq plate. It was terrible. It tasted worse than something you would get on a all you can eat buffet. You claim the brisket was smoked 14 hours. On what, propane? Absolutely no smoke ring. It tasted like it came out of a crockpot. Now we move to the ribs. St. Louis style?? No way. They were over cooked ribs with no smoke flavor and to much salt. To top it off the plate was about $30! It wasn’t worth $10. I’ve had some so so bbq in my life. This was the worst to date. I will never go back there. Service slow too and the waitress didn’t like keep my drink glass full either. They weren’t even busy.

Portions are MASSIVE. You better come hungry. Brisket and ribs were cooked well. Six sauce choices offered table side. The in house brewed red was a terrific beer to accompany BBQ. A touch pricy for 2 adults and 2 kids.

Finally a place with fun family atmosphere and good food to boot! The train brings you your food and the servers have it drive around random toys when it's not in use for food. There is a large model train set that is really cool too. The food was good and they were able to accommodate our large family with ease. The only downfall was the slightly limited food choices. Still plenty to eat though! Definitely recommend making this place a stop when you're in the Dells!

It's just okay.. The place itself is incredible for small kids. Food brought to your table on a train.. yes please! But The FOOD is a Nooo.. We had a range of stuff, the brisket meal was $20 and they served 5 slices of meat and some fries. The meat wasn't very appetizing and later on ended up making my husband sick. The onion rings were soggy beer battered type, Definitely frozen. We ordered the Macho nacho ... that was the worst!!!!! The cheese was not even cheese it tasted and looked like yellow plastic but thin and runny leaving a waxy feeling in your mouth. The pizza was comparable to domino's, wasn't bad. The buffer has little to pick from. The soup is good. All in all I probably wouldn't go there to eat. It's also very expensive for larger families in my opinion.

Do not recommend the lunch buffet. They always ran out of plates and had to wait for clean ones. They ran out of food constantly and had to wait for new food. Since everyone was waiting, the food went quickly. The hot bar was sub par but the roasted chicken was good. Salad bar was cheap and pasta salads had no flavor. I wonder if ordering off the menu the food would have been better?

Super cute, it's upstairs but the elevator would take you right to the buffet if that is your style. We ordered cheese curds and nachos and had tons yummy food. The trains ran constantly until there was two tables of kids seated and if course parents couldn't watch them...ugh. wish they had a adult must sit near the train policy.

We were told they served food with trains. Our 7 year old son had been to several restaurants across America with train service. This was by far his favorite. The train came by every few minutes with drink refills, before we realized we need our drinks refilled. The train came by twice in the hour we were there with a bubble machine. The entire restaurant filled with bubbles and the kids loved it. Our son also loves LEGO. The restaurant had an entire LEGO city inside the trains. Trains, LEGO and bubbles... what more could a 7 year ask for in a restaurant? The parents enjoyed the food options on the buffet too.

Big rooms with so much to look at. Whole atmosphere was fun. The trains delivering ur food and drinks made it truly unique. Shared rotisserie chicken meal and there was so much to eat. Chicken was delicious and loved the six types of barbeque sauce they bring to ur table to try. Cowboy beans were delicious. Large portions of mouthwatering food. Grandson loved his food because it came on a train! A win-win situation!

Went here for the buffet lunch on a Wednesday. Been to the Dells a lot but never here. Had a good time. Pizza was good. Salad bar was solid. The waiter was super nice. The train came by and blew bubbles at us which was funny. We went in back to their giant entertainment building and the wife and I played some games and had fun. Wouldn't mind going back. I would live there if I was a kid.

I tried the Buffet. It had a small salad bar, 2 soups, about 4 pizzas, rotisserie chicken, mac and cheese, tater tots, and some pastas. Nothing was very good. The pizza was bad. I came here because my son wanted pizza. I saw the train in the pictures and thought it would be neat for my son to see the train. Since I ordered the Buffet, the only thing that came to me on the train was the drinks. Drinks on a model train are not a good idea. Who ever operates the train had it pulling away before I had grabbed my drink. I barely managed to grasp my drink, so I could see spills being frequent here. Maybe the regular menu items are good? I dont know. I know the buffet wasn't anything special so I doubt the regular menu is much more impressive.

Amazing place for kiddos. The train delivered food kept my 2 year old entertained. He loved saying hi & bye choo choo as it went past our table. The food is great, a little over priced but still worth it. Definitely bring something for the kids to do while at the table waiting for your food. My son just turned 2 this week and does not like sitting still for a long time. We brought a coloring book and crayons and that was perfect. It was a Wednesday night and around 6:30 pm and we still had to wait 25 minutes for a table. So be prepared to wait.

Didn't want to serve a party of 2. Waited for 15 mins only to still not get service. However the larger party that was seated next to us 10 mins after us was served right away. After a few more minutes we just got up and left. No need to beg someone to take my money.

Fun place especially for kids. The food was very good and lots of options for those with gluten and dairy allergies such as myself. The prices are on the high side but I honestly got enough food for two meals with the pulled pork plate. The beans were too sweet in my opinion but I had plenty to eat without them. The four BBQ sauces I was able to try were all very good but none of them were very spicy. I ended up putting the Raspberry Chipotle sauce on the pork and the Smoky Bacon sauce on my potato since I can't have butter. Yum!!

I was really excited to come to Buffalo Phil's for the advertised train delivered food. I had imagined that it would be buffet style, with the trains taking dishes around the restaurant and you grabbing what you liked as it passed. This was not the case. I got the buffet and it was in three rooms away from where we were seated (by the tracks). The pizza was not good, it was odd that they had a chicken and broccoli option but not a pepperoni or sausage option. The salad bar was pretty limited with long wilted lettuce. The chicken was sitting in about a half inch of water and somehow both overcooked and not hot. The roll was delicious, but you cant really fill up on rarely stocked rolls for $14/person. The soup was OK. We ordered waters and our waiter (I think it was a waiter, he only came by once at the start and once at the end) said they would be delivered on the train (the whole point of going). They were instead delivered by foot while we were at the buffet (the train didn't move while we were gone). I drank my water and put it on the train as it was passing by, empty. No one said anything, but I feel that may be frowned upon as the water circled the tracks 1.5 times, but I didn't know how else to get a refill. My wife had to go ask someone for the check, while she was asking, another waiter asked her to move so some new people could be seated. This was a bad experience in every sense. The food was bad. The food was expensive. We were not served by train. The waiter was non-existent. I'm not sure why we paid them money.

We were told it would be a 20 minute wait to be seated by the train. Since we had small kids we didn’t want to wait, I wish we would have because when we were seated there were clearly tables available by the train (just all dirty but empty, plus it wasn’t busy at the time). We ordered pizza, our waitress didn’t bring us enough place and never once came back to fill drinks or check on us so we never get more plates. The pizza was good but extremely greasy. Our waitress never came back and I had to get up from our booth to get our bill where we were done. The staff just seemed confused and not on top of things.

I liked it. It’s really good. I recommend the flat iron steak. The mashed potatoes were good. Everything was good about it. The one con about the place is the grilled onions. It’s barely grilled and it’s not that good. Besides that. Everything else was really good.

We take our grandkids and they love the train delivered food and the new legoland that they now have as well. The rotisserie chicken is not to be missed, but they have lots of selections of other good food items as well. My daughter has food alergies and they were very accomidating to her maling something gor her within her diet restrictions.

Lunch time buffet is actually pretty wonderful. Salad, coleslaw, pasta salads, pizza, pastas, and it’s not super expensive. They’ve got a train that delivers your food if you order from the menu (and are sitting in that area)— it’s an interesting and kitschy place if you’re looking to try something new. The food is great and the prices aren’t bad.

My family loves coming here! Every trip we make from Minnesota to Illinois we always stop here! The kids love the fact that the trains deliver our food and drinks to the tables. Plus, they have very cool LEGO displays now! We love it here!

The skin on the baked potato was so hard it was difficult to cut open. The kids had fun with the train, just wish the food was better. Staff was really frendly and did a great job.

It's a great theme restaurant in the water park capital of the world. They had a wide range of food selection and the most fun part about it is that they entertained my family by delivering of meals to our table via train. That's right, your food is sent to your awaiting table station by train. It's just pure fun to watch and plenty of photo opportunities inside the restaurant. My children loved it!

This place blew my mind!! A train delivering your food?! What?! Such a cool concept!! My family and I really enjoyed our meal there! The food was great! There's an arcade there to keep the kiddos (and the adults) occupied or distracted while waiting for your table! Staff was extremely friendly!!! Everyone needs to visit at some point! Highly recommend!!

Very interesting atmosphere to dine in. While the food was just okay. My wife and my daughter had the buffet. Pizza pasta and a fairly good salad bar. They said the soup was good. Pizza was mediocre. Seemed like a sweet sauce to it. My son and I had sandwiches. He had the buffalo burger. Was very dry but Buffalo burgers usually are. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich. Not spicy at all like I imagined. The interesting part comes in they deliver your drinks and food by a train. There was also very large arcade area.

The kids love this place due to the train delivered food, but there isn't much beyond that. The food is pretty good, but pretty overpriced for what you get. The service was really slow the last few times we've been there too. It's a fun atmosphere for the kids and worth a trip once while you're there, but don't set your expectations too high.

Take the kids, you won't regret it! They just added a Lego village for the train to run next to, it's super fun! It is on the pricey side though. The food is good, and the portions are also good. The service is always exceptional and this year was no exception, we will go back next time we are in the area.

Food was horrible beef brisket tasted like it was a week old or reheated. Chicken sandwich was dry and the bun was rock hard. Pulled pork was fatty and nasty. We chose this restaurant because the past experience was outstanding not this time. I don't usually do this I'm not looking for free or reduced bill. I just don't want anybody to get sick. Because what we experienced someone definitely will be sick.

Ate here during Spring Break with 2 elementary kids. Service was excellent, food was prompt, very good, and the model train delivery was a hit with the kids. Great atmosphere & hooked on to the arcade/indoor fun park next door. Highly recommend for a meal with kids.

If you want delicious food & great family memories its here. Train delivered food is as fun for the adults as well as kids. Theres just no such thing as a bad time here. Perfect for photo ops and crazy selfies. The service was super friendly. Definitely a must stop spot.

Went there last night. Waited for almost an hour for seating (granted we had a party of 20, so kinda understandable.) Once we were seated, it took 20 minutes to get drinks, an additional 30 minutes to order, and almost another 45 minutes to get our food. We had 12 small children with. We got there at 6 and don't eat until 8:30. To top it off, my sandwich was cold and half orders were wrong. We didn't tell the waiter because who would want to wait another 20 minutes when you have crabby kids. Yeah, felt like we just blew $250 on horrible food. Won't go there again.
