Barker's is always a good stop. Don't expect to be in/out quickly at peak times as they fill up and you may have to wait for a table. The food is delicious and the atmosphere cozy, perfect for a nice meal and sharing with smallish groups (6 or less).

No matter what I have ordered its always done to perfection. They always have a special and if you go try their chicken sandwichs (I never order them anywhere but here)!

Love the garlic wings! We drive from Minneapolis just for wings. The cocktails are good, but a bit on the pricey side, I'm used to dive bars. During the summer there can be a wait, but it's worth it.

We were looking for a place to grab a steak dinner and based on reviews picked Barker’s. Rarely go out for steak as it seems cooking a steak to order is a lost art, more times then not a medium rare steak arrives with a faint tint of pink and medium arrives a dull gray. Not at Barkers! Steaks were done to perfection, nice cuts, juicy and flavorful. The carrots with walnuts and maple glaze were delicious, and the tap selection provided a variety of choices. Server was attentive and not disruptive. The background music could have come right off my playlist so we felt right at home. If we ever venture through Hudson again we will definitely stop in!

Wings are the best you’ll find anywhere, their house made French fries are incredible and I think their chicken tenders-as far as kids meals go- are the best we’ve ever come across. We’ve never had a bad meal or service. Glad to have this little gem in our town!

Had an excellent meal here for happy hour. Liz was our server and she made sure we had everything we needed. Ordered some fries, sliders and the garlic wings for food along with a couple of drinks. The garlic wings were some of the best wings we have ever had and they dont skimp on the wing sauce or condiments. The fries were hand cut and delicious. The sliders were just average. But then again, I have never had an excellent slider before. Does White Castle count? Great place and our tab was pretty inexpensive for how full I am.

Thought I'd hop the border and see what all the hubbub was about Barker's! Let me tell you - plan an evening and go see Andy and his staff of amazing chefs and waitstaff. We were warmly greeted when we arrived. The place was buzzing with conversations and laughter and the amazing aromas from the bistro kitchen piqued my appetite. Our server carefully explained the menu and sold me on the special for the evening, a gorgeous fillet of salmon paired nicely with the best brussel sprouts I have had in years. Barker's has many craft and local brews on tap, and a full bar for your favorite cocktail. This is a place for foodies. Best part? Dessert! Ask for the chocolate raspberry layer cake.... whoa! Cheers Andy!! Fabulous evening and an even better meal!

We had an over all great experience! We walked in to a full house and were greated by friendly and welcoming hostes who put us on a convenient text waiting list so we could go check out a few other places while we ate. Than once getting to out table, at exactly when she said we would, it was clean and promptly assisted. Drinks were good, food was great and I personally love the fresh cut French fries. We always make a point of stopping here when driving back to the Twin Cities from Chicago. They have excellent burgers, authentic and magnificent cheese curds, and the best root beer known to man. Seriously. 1919 Rootbeer is so good. Get it in a frosted mug and ask for no ice.

I have been eating here at Barkers going on 15 years. The food has never been anything less then AMAZING. They have great cocktails and expansive beer list. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. The only reason they lose a star is for the limited size of the restaurant. Every time I have visited I always felt like it was cramped. It would be great if they could knock out a wall and give everyone a little bit more room.

Barker's has been in downtown Hudson for years and I see it staying there no matter what comes into town. I wouldn't say it's anything special but it isn't bad. It's a little pricey for what you get but that's Hudson for you.

A regular casual spot for a night out or for lunch. Burgers are consistently good. The Greek Chicken sandwiches and salads are a favorite as well. I've enjoyed the Philly sandwiches from time to time. The fresh cut fries are a must. Is it the cheapest location in Hudson? No, but it's a good value for the $$.

Barkers has long been one of the stand out, must try places in Hudson's increasingly-restaurant-laden downtown area. They're known for their french fries and burgers. The wine list is a little meh, but they're more of a beer place anyways. Unfortunately, though, based on my last visit, the service might be in a decline. My husband ordered BBQ wings. The waitress brought wings, but they were clearly not BBQ (some sort of dry rub). She put up resistance when he noted that these were definitely not BBQ ("Oh! The sauce must be on really lightly," she explained...uh, no). Then the bar manager brought the right wings, claiming a mix up in the kitchen. So...those wings went to someone else, and now they're at our table because there's no way new wings were made in that time...yeah no thanks.

We've been coming here for years. Always cozy, friendly servers and big menu. Normally big menus scare me, you can't do everything, but this place does all the staples, and does them very well. I like the reuben and the burgers. The building is historic, high ceilings, old wood and great atmosphere.

Good atmosphere overall. Servers are great and attentive. First time here tonight unfortunately I won't be going back. You guys charge 11$ for a chicken sandwich with almost little to no chicken actually on the said sandwich (tasted okay). Three little tiny pieces of chicken..... little tenderloins just sad and alone on a bun that was too big for them....Seriously though, I can go to Culver's and get a chicken sandwich and have twice the amount of chicken for less money. Do better with your chicken sandwiches and I might stop back again. Have a good day.

After nine years, we returned to Barkers, and found it to be just as good as before. Great food with good- sized portions. It's a little spendy, but you definitely get what you pay for. I had their house chicken sandwich with their Louisiana-style hot sauce served on the side. It was delicious! Great food, great service (despite it being busy), and a great atmosphere. We'll be back a lot sooner next time!

Good beer selection... popcorn...my only complaint (enough salt to melt ice from Hudson to St Paul!!!)...it does get crowded and some seating options are not the best...but for a nice laid-back "upper scale" bar....Barker's is on my go-to list....

Not bad but used to be better.... I've been coming here for a long time, decades actually. I don't frequent Barker's like days gone by ( so many good choices in Hudson now). I think they have slipped on the service just a bit.. fries came out just warm, not hot and finally had to ask for the check . I still recommend it but it's certainly not the only choice in Hudson and I certainly would not wait for a table if there was one free at another place.

Barker's food is a staple of Downtown Hudson. The Burger's are always reliable with the quality and their French Fries are one of the best in the area. I personally love the Chipotle Mac n Cheese! Just watch out, it has a KICK!

We stopped here on our way home to central Wisconsin from a weekend trip to Minneapolis. 1st visit -- found em via GPS. Greeted immediately - initially seated at a small table in the back. We requested a booth -- and were moved immediately. Our waitress, Emma, is the sort of server everyone wants. Knowledgeable, professional, and with a great smile & wicked sense of humor. She elevated our experience from a good one to a great one. The food was really good -- we had beef tips, the pulled pork, bacon cheeseburger, California burger, fries, blue cheese brussel sprouts, a bloody mary, & a few different beers (we got a flight). All of our meals were delicious, well portioned, & satisfying. We will definitely be back -- for the food, & for the amazing service provided by Emma!!

Nothing special, food was sub-par. The waitress gave zero time to look at the menu..we sat down and right away she was asking if we were ready to order. She never told us the specials for the day. The food we got was. Ot great. The fries were soggy and over-salted. The bison burger I ordered tasted like hamburger, not bison (I've had great bison burgers at other restuarants) and was overcooked for how I ordered it. Water was never re-filled. For the ratings I'd seen on here and Yelp I expected higher quality. The same owners own this place and San Pedro's in town...go there instead for better service and MUCH better food.

This was my first visit. I expected more based on experience at other establishments in the area...and on a Saturday night. Wait staff was attentive. Ordered the Bison Burger done medium. Received it rare...and it was not Bison. Fries overdone and greasy. I had to help free a child trapped in the men's room because of a broken latch.

Nothing compares to the legend of Barker's. Being in downtown Hudson, the atmosphere is fabulous for meetings friends or a fun date night. The service is fantastic. And the food, well, they do a stellar job with whatever you may order. I have had burgers, chicken sandwiches, and salads...all live up to the intrigue and expectations. But, the fries are what keeps me coming back.

We got burgers and fries, both of which were fabulous. The burgers were juicier than most places and the buns were perfect. Go with the fries instead of the chips, they are well worth it. The server's were really pleasant and struck the right balance between helpful and hands-off.

Busy place. We waited an hour on a Friday night around 6. Food was good. Not your usual menu choices. I had tenderloin tips with onion and mushrooms, very tender and good. French fries were fantastic, but need to eat right away when hot. Side salad with Mango vinaigrette was excellent.

This was a great place to eat lunch. I went there with two other people and everyone was happy. I had the El Diablo Chicken. For me the spice was just right. The best part was the flavor. The sandwich was just not just a spicy sandwich but a flavorful one. The salad that was ordered was a good size and the person who ordered it was quite happy. The Thin Lizzy wings looked delicious and the portion size was not to disappoint. I wish I would have been there for dinner instead because the beer list looked really good. The service we received was excellent. The food was served hot and our drinks were kept full. I look forward to my next visit there.

Lively Bar and Grill on a Monday afternoon. Perfect little table streetside to watch all the people coming and going! I had their chips with daily homemade pico de gallo! Ample portion size. Server and service was real good! Beer was cold and fast! So I'm happy! So bummed I didn't see the free popcorn machine until I was leaving...lol even though i walked right past it! Loved the atmosphere!
