Never got to enjoy the food because the host scolded us when we arrived. We made a 7:30 reservation but finished with our day around town at 6:00pm. We decided to go to the restaurant at 6:15 and cancelled our 7:30 reservation when we arrived. The host told us we clogged up their reservations. We sat down but when I got up to use the restroom, I stopped by the host to let him know we didn't intend on clogging their reservations, we just finished our day early. He continued to let me know that I should have called and I shouldn't have clogged up their schedule. Again, I explained that it was last minute that our timeline changed. He insisted we shouldn't have done that and we were free to leave. So we did. That was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant and didn't even have a bite to eat.

The french onion soup was fantastic and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his salad. We were disappointed our entrees were brought out before I was halfway through my soup, and while the server recognized this dropped them at the table anyways. My husbands pork chop was flavorful and well prepared though the greens didn’t go with the dish. I ordered the halibut special with a cream sauce that was supposed to have lobster in it. The halibut was over cooked and dry, the sauce more like a brown gravy, and there was maybe a tiny couple pieces of lobster. The couscous and greens were good, but overall the dish was disappointing. I shared with our server the fish had been over cooked and dry and she didn’t acknowledge or respond. Also asked about the stock in the sauce to ensure no shrimp allergy concerns and her response was not assuring. Not sure we’d go back considering lack of value for price.

What an amazing place. Even our waiter remembered us from a year and a half ago, the last time we were there! The food is a-maz-ing. If you ever plan to drive past Lewisburg, WV on I-64, you should really think about setting up a reservation.

Traveling to the Outer Banks we decided to stop in Lewisburg to walk our dog and eat. On our way around the block the owner and Executive Chef greeted us and wanted to meet our dog. The gave her some dog bones and invited us to dine on the patio and assured us Molly was welcome. The mussels we're a suburb appetizer. The Salmon and ravioli entrees were most excellent as well! Ray took great care of us at our table and made sure Molly got plenty of water. Great experience!

I've never seen an owner respond to low ratings so negatively. This entire establishment is a joke. Ever heard of turning on a light? I guess practically pitch dark is "in" If you want to feel fancy while eating terrible food you can hardly see then hands down this is the place for you. However if you're looking for anything but, might I suggest anywhere but here. :)

Had an amazing meal here a few weeks ago while staying in Lewisburg for the night. The Charcuterie and Fromage plate was all local, the day line caught Halibut special was out of the world and the wine list was very nicely put together

What a pleasant dining experience my wife and I had at your restaurant. Each table so unique and perfectly set. The allure and charm in this wonderful historical setting had us the moment we walked through the beautiful front door. We were greeted by at least three servers and Sara made our dining experience just memorable. The professionalism in the staff was equalled in the meal that was prepared perfectly and seemingly just for us. We love it when we are so moved by a dining experience such as this.

The owners are very personable and cheerful people. We enjoyed some cocktails and small plates at the bar which were great! Our server was very attentive and friendly. Can't wait to come back on our next visit to Lewisburg! Also, I loved th goat wallpaper in the bar section!

The wait staff provided fantastic service in the food was nothing short of amazing. I would never hesitate in making the 4-Hour return trip just to eat at this restaurant again. This sophisticated quiet restaurant in this delightful town made our visit amazing!! The wait staff is helpful in a very unusual way as REALLY wants us to know the options. Our appetizer was a fish dish I had never experienced a sort of fish and chips but much much better. The mussels were delightful. The steak superb. We have visited Lewisburg for our entire lives and this is THE BEST!

Brunch was excellent. Service is superb. Love the ambiance - it's elegant, yet laid back and genuine all at once. Fig and goat spread was a great way to start the meal. The hardest part was choosing an entree. Finally, the French press coffee was on point.

Made reservations for 9 for Easter Brunch weeks in advance. They took our phone number and claimed to make a reservation. Low and behold, they did not make the reservation as claimed. We showed up for brunch, the man at the front desk questioned us as to whether we made the reservation for the correct restaurant which was insulting, made no effort to accommodate us upon their error, and was dismissive. We were extremely frustrated with the dismissive behavior and rudeness. But we found a wonderful replacement. Our group went to the General Lewis Inn for brunch. The food, atmosphere, and service was delightful! We were thrilled with our experience. I fully expect a snarky and rude response from the owner or staff for this review. They’ve responding to each negative review in the past with low class and low blows. Perhaps making some changes would insure there wouldn’t be similar complaints posted.

One of the best meals ever! Three longtime friends to celebrate a birthday each September - October - November. Starting off with French Onion Soup - absolutely the best I have ever had and remained hot from the first bite to the last!! We each decided to get the Filet Mignon - perfection! To finish the meal two Creme Brulee and a Lemon Tart - delicious!! Our server Kirk was very knowledgeable and very laid back - immediately put us at ease!! We will definitely be back!!!

It is a charming place and location. The food was good, but, over priced. Our waiter, from Brooklyn, was charming and attentive. He did a good job although faced with the challenges of tables too closely placed together. Unfortunately, we had to walk through cigarette smoke to enter the front door, both arriving and departing. They use paper to cover the white tablecloths! I found this to be very amusing given the image they are trying to project. They don't clear they unnecessary cutlery once the order is placed and they did not automatically bring plates for the shared appetizers.

A lovely, expensive-dining restaurant. The server was amiable, charismatic, and made sure that my date and I were comfortable and well-taken care of. The atmosphere, although meant to be romantic and subtle, was a little more rambunctious than expected. However, that could have been because we had a large family with children sitting next to us. My dish had been the Poches et Saumon Poele -- very well done and delicious. I would definitely recommend dining here to my family and friends.
