Good Korean food, hard to find such quality in the US when you go to just any place, just happened to be staying nearby the airport for a few days. Service was quick when I arrived early for lunch. The place is popular, lots of Koreans, and serves a lot of people during lunch time. As far as I could see service was still good while it was getting more busy. Will come again.

I wish this review were for the food, but unfortunately I wasn’t even able to get to the point of eating there. We went for our first time on a weekday for lunch around 1pm. The place gets good reviews, so we were excited to give it a try. It was very crowded with no empty tables. I can understand being busy and having a wait time, but what was frustrating was how nobody came up to greet us, ask how many were in our party and give us a wait time. Instead we stood at the front of the restaurant waiting for over 10 minutes and were never greeted. We finally left after I overheard someone who had already been seated before we arrived flag a waiter down and ask if their order could be taken. So even if we had waited a few more minutes and been seated, the service was slow for the people who were already seated. Again, I understand being busy, but we saw 4-5 waiters in the restaurant. Surely that’s enough to get people’s orders taken in a timely manner and greet new customers when they walk in. Yeah, your food is probably good based on all these reviews, and maybe your servers are good during slower times, but our experience wasn’t worth giving our money to you.

I would have never imagined I would find this little gem in Virginia. I'm from New York, and this restaurant is by far the best Korean restaurant I've eaten at. Let me preface my review by saying that I nearly scored this location four of five stars. It was close. When seated, the A/C above me slowly leaked water directly where I was, landing on me and the floor around me. While it's a problem that needs to be remedied, I simply moved to another seat at the table. Walking inside, the atmosphere is quite welcoming. The restaurant is small yet home-like, and the music helps achieve a positive and upbeat attitude without being overwhelming. While the menu selection is not expansive, there is enough to give customers variety. ToK easily excels at what it offers, and each item is quickly and freshly prepared. Will definitely return if back in the area!

I needed lunch before a meeting. I was looking for something quick, but both of my targets had closed. I saw this place and decided to try it. I'm not very familiar with Korean cuisine but am adventurous. It had good ratings, and appeared to be moderately priced. I had the dumpling soup, without rice cakes. There were 5 huge dumplings, plus a tray of sides. I'm not sure what one of the sides was, but it was all good. The patrons we're mostly Korean, so I'm guessing it passes muster from those in the know. I'll be back.

Great food and reasonable prices. Staff was kind and helpful. We enjoyed the complimentary barley tea. Would recommend vegetable dumplings- they are well seasoned, nice thin wrapper and obviously homemade as they should be.

Good food and great service. My family to here often. Their menu isn't as extensive as some of the other Korean restaurants but I think that's a good thing. They make fewer things and do a very good job of it. They make their own mandoo( dumplings) and they are excellent. We always get the combo with a meat dish, fish roe soup and assortment of greens for wrapping. Its a great value and quality.

Would not recommend. Service was slow. Entrees came out individually, not all together. In fact my youngest's meal came last almost 15 minutes after the first entree arrived. Bulgogi was very sinwey, terriyaki chicken had no flavor and chicken tasted like rubber. I had better food on a bus in Seoul from a vendor peddling dried squid on a stick.

Taste of Korea.. a fitting name that undermines the culinary expertise provided at this restaurant. Hungry for a quick lunch to tide me over until I got home, I ultimately decided to order takeout here after perusing my options. I ordered the Bibimbap, a favorite of mine allowing for a crescendo of flavor to takeover my sensations. Not only was the dish delicious, it was presented in such a beautiful and tidy manner the likes of which I have never experienced with takeout. If you're in the area and haven't been, you must visit.

This quaint restaurant in Sully Plaza is the grown number of Korean restaurants that have opened in Chantilly/Centreville area. That is good for people out here so that we don’t have to trek to Annandale just to get a good Korean meal. Taste of Korea is a pleasant place with decent service. Our tea was always topped off most of the time and the space is comfortable. Not so loud and not blaring of K-pop music until your ears bleed like others. They cover most of the bases for Korean Cuisine. You just don’t the grilling of the meat table side but there are plenty of other places if you wanted that option. We ordered the Kalbi was tender, well marinated and not as sweet as others. (I don’t usually like the sweet marinade like in Bulgogi) The army stew was hearty (full of meat and ramen) and plenty to feed 4 people. The Al Tang (one of my favorite dishes) came out bubbling hot and full of fish roe. So many restaurants don’t make this dish, so I was happy the Taste of Korea did (which is why we came here). Prices seems on par with others and portions are of reasonable size. I think the weak point is the banchan and you don’t get the steam egg as part of it (you have to order it on the menu). Overall, Taste of Korea has a decent selection of Korea fare to satisfy your craving without driving to Annandale (and avoiding traffic & saving gas). I will come here just for the Al Tang.

This is my go to spot for Korean without having to drive too far. Typical Korean menu with the regular favorites. Service is generally very good and I've never had to wait for a table even though the restaurant is fairly busy each time I've visited. I thought everything was very good with the only exception being the sundubu which came out a bit bland.

Good environment and friendly staff. I go there for a pit stop everytime after picking up family from the airport (usually on weekdays so it's not so busy). Love the seafood pancake and would probably order it everytime I go there if it wasn't so big (good problem to have) and I didn't have to drive a couple of hours back home.

Great service, consistently tasty food. You have the basic options for vegetarians- kimchi jeon, bibimbap, and dubu jigae, all recommended. Their summer specials have been naengmyeon - they only come in meaty broths but very tasty. Portions here are standard for the cost but most dishes come with free side dishes, and the same can't be said about all Korean restaurants in the area.

I generally love Korean food but I think this place is just average. We ordered the most expensive hot pot, the food is large in portion for 2 people but not much meat inside. Mostly mushrooms and tofu etc which I think doesn’t worth the price.... The taste is average too, I would chose food court in hmart/Lotte over this place since they are same flavor but hmart is much cheaper. Service is below average. Waiter only came for order and check, didn’t refill my water but stood at the corner chatting...

The food here is really good if you're getting the right things. Personally, I'm a huge fan of the boodaejjigae - you just have to have 2-3 people around to help you eat it. The other dishes are pretty good too and there always seems to be a wait to get in during rush hours. The reason it only makes 4 stars for me is that the service has always been pretty bad whenever I've been here.

TERRIBLE COSTUMER SERVICE ! Made reservations an hour ago , waited for about 15 minuets! Why non korean people I wonder write bad reviews????? If you dont like to serve non koreans why dont you write big on your restaurant wall or advertise it that way? Dont take other korean clients in and sit them when your clients make reservations and are not being sitted or given good costumer service!!! I read on your yelp as well as google the same routine . Thats totally not right !!!! Absolutely unacceptable! I am terrified how much we waited tonight and othet walkin korean speaking individuals were sitted before us ! Just terrible . No manner and professionalism in this business!!’ Discrimination is not OK in this country !

Food is great and I believe from what I can taste they do not use msg. Their food has a milder flavor and not a deep taste. Some people mag not like it at all. For me it tastes fresh and home made with home made sauces and different from other Korean restaurants. I do t know if I would make this place my regular as I do like the more bold flavors from other Korean restaurants. Not a bad find though. Wait staff are very attentive but not very eager to refill side dishes.

Update: I ordered the Ssam Bap and all veggies were not fresh at all and not variety. They only basically only gave me lettuce. Meat has too much grease too.

Good authentic Korean food. A bit on the msg side I give it a 3 1/2 star for the food and 2 1/2 for service because the last time we went there we notice.. as soon as a Korean gentleman sat down the server immediately but down all the side dishes that comes with the meals, and they didn’t do that for us and Several Times asked him if he needed anything else and filled his drink mediately when it was empty. As we had to ask for more drinks and side dishes. Maybe because he was Korean?,but I was Korean too, but little do they know I was once a waitress in college, so guess what? They didn’t earn their 30% tip from us today.. Taste Of Korean tell your servers to treat everyone with the same attentiveness!!!

So/so Korean food . I rate the food 3 stars . The noodles weren't too hot and the ribs were not crispy . I rate the service a 4. Honestly , Iron Age in Centreville and Yechon in Annandale have better Korean foods than here .

I was delighted to eat at a Taste of Korea. I haven't had good Korean food since leaving New York. I have to say this was the best Korean food I have ever eaten. We had the spices pork and the bulgogi. It was so flavorful and delicious, we almost ate every bite. The portions are quite big and so even though we wanted to finish, we couldn't. The selection of sides was really wonderful, too. The atmosphere was charming. The staff was helpful and polite. The meal was topped off with a refreshing drink of citrus and cinnamon. I wish I lived in Virginia so I could eat there more frequently. I guess I shall just have to wait to visit my sister again for this great treat!

I love this restaurant. The atmosphere is great and the food is superb. I wish there was a little more meat in their bibimbap dishes but they are really well done. The service is great any very polite. Always making sure we had enough side dishes and eager to bring more. At the end of your meal they serve a small glass of SuJeongGwa. It is a really delightful way to end the meal. One of my new favorite places. Notice: This is not a Korean BBQ Grill, no grills. Great dishes though

There were only two servers .. but the place is small.. no drink refills, no check backs, we even had to wave and flag down the servers just to get more food ordered.. had to wave at them to come get our credit card and pay our check.. it’s like the servers didn’t know what was going on in the next phase of our dining experience.. no pre-bussing, no nothing.. We made reservations an hour before coming they told us 45 mins - we arrived they told us to wait. Originally it was for five and we ended up being four. We waited another 30 mins while the lady up front started seating people who came after us. When we approached her n asked she said well bc u said it was five now its four its a delay..THIRTY MINS!!! 1) she never even informed us!! And two this makes NO SENSE bc then u need to give the next 4 seat available to us not the person AFTER us. Then she says she called us and no one answered when WE HAVE BEEN THERE THE WHOLE TIME and she lies straight to my face about it. When we first even arrived she said oh yes ur coming up next and waited and waited while she proceeded to seat other people. Then i ask for her managers name and she starts stuttering and doesnt want to give it to me before i got angry and left. After waiting for 30 mins on top of having my name put down 45 mins prior to that. Idk perhaps they seat koreans first? Or maybe they seat their friends and people they know first but their service is horrendous and clearly they are liars.

Very bad customer service if you are korean they are nice to you otherwise they are very rude and the food is very bad ,much better korean food in other places, i grew up with koreans and i know how the food should taste , but terrible customer service.

Really enjoyed my chicken bulgogi, the dumplings were delicious, ordered bibimbap to go and that was amazing too!! Wish I lived closer, I'd come here all the time!
