Was sadly not impressed by my visit. The food was ok, but the lettuce tasted like a refrigerator and was old. The beans were cold. The chips stale. At least the salsa was pretty good. The waitress was friendly but had to flag her down every time we needed something, she never just came to the table. All in all? There are better places to go eat Mexican in Parkersburg.

Great food, staff is friendly, great vegetarian options, great alcohol options..the only issue I have is that in parties with 6 or more people (even on separate checks) they put a tip on your bill. The last time we ate there we had a $15 tip for a server that wasn't all that good and of our 7 people 4 were our children that didn't need extra attention or make any extra work for the staff. I do not agree that they add this to the bill automatically.

The food, the service, the atmosphere, we're all fabulous. A great place for dinning with friends or family! Not too expensive, like 50 bucks for a family of 4 and that's with MORE than PLENTY of food. Plus, great free chips and salsa.

I never have any problems or complaints when I go to restaurants, I’m always real laid back about everything. This was the worst experience I’ve had in a restaurant so I had to write about it. My girlfriend and I went to Tampico for the second time and I ordered something that I thought I got the first time I went there. However when I got it I realized it wasn’t what I got last time and I really didn’t want it. The manager came over and I politely asked to have something else because I ordered the wrong thing. She stared at me for a second and rudely responded: “well you’re gonna have to pay for that.” I said “ok that’s fine ma’m.” The first dish I ordered was on special that day, and not only did I pay for it, she made me pay full price. She then handed us our bill, making sure we paid full price rather than letting our waitress take care of it. However my girlfriend and I still tipped 20%. There are plenty of other restaurants to go to in the area, and we definitely won’t be back to this one.

Wait staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. I ordered the carne asada entree and the top shelf margarita. Food was mediocre - lacked flavor and seasoning. My drink was $13.99 - the margarita was just a goblet of sour mix. Will I return? Uhm...I don't know.

Tampico is an amazing local Mexican restaurant. The enchailadas' flavour is somewhat juicy and has a nice meaty taste. The salsa at this restaurant is especially good compared to other competing Mexican restaurants. The restaurant is quite clean overall and is very colourful. The staff are very friendly. I'm definitely coming here again, as the food is great, and my friend's family are the owners.
