Food was great and my girlfriend and I were seated very quickly on a Friday night. Food took a while to come out but I’m willing to wait for quality. The only thing that left a bad taste in my mouth was the excessive added gratuity for our small party of 2 people. Our food total was $32.00 however once the gratuity was added in, the total jumped to $42.00. For those of you not wanting to break out your calculators, that’s over a 30% tip! My only advice would be to keep an eye on your bill. Don’t just blindly pay it.

We waited more than an hour for our orders... Slowest service i have ever seen. The food is good but if u wanna go there you shouldn't go when you are starving. Also watch out for the bill. They put extra 20 percent tax and when we asked they said it is a mistake and corrected it. Don't be a fool and always check your bill there.

Had an outstanding meal here the other night. The menu options are broad and actually made it difficult to choose what we should try. It's a small place, would be difficult to accommodate a large group. I would gladly have given 5 stars, but our server was quite rude and parking is very limited. I saw other wait staff who did a superb job, we just were unfortunate enough to have this young man. Despite his surliness, I highly recommend this for a date night or solo delicious meal.

2/5 for the atmosphere. Food was fantastic. While I was here on a date, the workers played Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" on a loop for almost an hour. At one point other songs would play afterwards and the employees would stop those songs and replay Mariah Carey. Aside from having to wait around 45 minutes for our food, it was delicious. We ate the Almond Curry and the Mango Curry, which were both very good. Unfortunately we couldn't really enjoy our food because of "over-merriment" and had to ask for a box and leave.

The food was phenomenal. I had the sizzling chicken-- it was perfectly crispy with a spicy/sweet glaze. My boyfriend had the drunken noodles-- a little spicy but so flavorful. We also had the green bean appetizer which was to die for. Our waitress recommended we try the Thai custard for dessert! It was just sweet enough. All of the portions are huge, especially for the price. The space is lovely, and the menu is presented beautifully. I adore the fruit infused water-- such a nice touch. We ate there last night, and we are in talk of going back again today! So great!

Their seafood soup was excellent... but then I got Pad Thai, a signature dish I have to try at every Thai restaurant. The waitress didn’t ask me what alice level, so i figured they didn’t offer it here. The pad Thai was virtually inedible because it was far too sweet. I took a few bites out of it. I hope the owners see this so they can take constructive criticism because no entree should be that sweet unless it’s a desert.

This place is a gem! I travel all over the Eastern US and this is one of the best Thai places I have ever experienced. Here you'll find way more than just the basics when it comes to tie. I had the Garden Rolls and the peanut sauce (a little warmer than usual) was in my opinion the perfect amount of heat. The service was great!!

This place has won my patronage indefinitely. The food is top notch and reminded me of younger days gone by during my college days. A time eating Thai food with my friends around a small table piled high with homemade Thai food from one of my buddies' grandmother who passed away a few years ago taking the authentic flavors with her. This place gave that back to me and I greatly appreciate that. Go there. Eat. They have plenty of options and great flavors. I make this a normal stop with a Morgantown visit.

Me and my girlfriend did not have an enjoyable experience at this establishment. The shrimp I ordered with my meal was lukewarm, the waitress ignored our table and was skipping us on purpose, and we did not receive the 10% discount when we paid in cash. I can't speak for other people, but this is not an experience that I plan on enduring again.

Great, authentic Thai food. I recommend the Chicken Paradise and Sizzling chicken. For some dishes you can choose spice on a scale from 1-5. I recommend going low, 1-2 just to see how much you can handle. I get takeout quite often. The staff is incredibly nice, and while wait time is a little on the long side, its worth every minute.

Everything is fancy from the cups to the check-holders. Staff is extremely kind and responsive. Food comes out relatively fast. After eating at two dozen Thai restaurants around the eastern side of the U.S., I believe the drunken noodles are excellent, great portion size, and inexpensive for the area. If you are in Morgantown, you MUST come at least once or twelve times.

Very original, nice looking restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was great. The menu was huge, and both the meal and our appetizers were cooked to perfection, very flavorful, and actually had some heat to them. For as busy as they were, the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The only negative thing was that it is small and cramped, inside -- a lot of the seating is definitely not large person friendly. I will definitely be going back. Since my initial visit, I been back to Ta-Khrai several times, now. Both the food and service have been absolutely excellent every time. This place is definitely one of my absolute favorites.

Not a good place for a romantic dinner. They need to switch to dimmer lighting and spread out customers more when they aren't busy for more dining comfort.

Great tasting thai food with a wide variety of items to choose from. The restaurant has a cozy feel to it. However, noise levels can vary depending on the capacity. Food orders are sometimes brought separately to a table, so specifically mentioning them to bring them at same time might be helpful. The place has parking both next to the restaurant and overflow parking across the street. However, be very very careful crossing this busy street as there is no marked sidwalk and cars speed by all the time on Univ avenue.

Honestly, this is probably the best Thai food I've ever had. Awesome beef salad and curry. Just be careful on the spice level. I can handle spice pretty well and spicy level 3 was SPICY!! It hurt so good!!! I recommend level 0-1 for mild eaters, 2 for med-hot, 3 is generic Asian hot. 4 is Thai SPICY (be warn, you will pay for this) lol. Overall, I will be a regular here.

I and my partner were highly dissatisfied mainly with the service we received. Our waitress did not come to serve us until the food was brought out and when it was time to receive the checks. Whenever she brought out the food, she left promptly without asking if we needed anything. However, she had no problem asking the table behind us how their food was. I had to ask another server kindly if I could get sauce for my meal. In addition to our waitress serving everyone but our table, she did not give me the proper discount that the restaurant guarantees when one pays for cash. She also did not hand me a receipt after I had paid for our meal. It wasn't until later that I realized she did not give me the correct change. I would not recommend this place at all.

One of the best meals I've had anywhere. Our first visit was yesterday and it didn't disappoint. Great service great fresh fruit water. The quality and freshness of the made to order food was amazing my wife loved the chicken teriyaki and rice and I had the pad ka prow kai sub I kicked the sauce up to the 2nd level which was just the right amount of spice. Highly recommend this restaurant but do plan on taking your time as there are no production line meals here only delicious made to order food.

Be careful some of these types of restaurants use flavor enhancers that are very similar to MSG. Any food tastes good with these types of flavor enhancers. Ask them to not add it to your meal if you are concerned. just fyi. Do your research before you eat anything anywhere nowadays. This stuff has a unique taste you can easily identify if you know it. MSG was a big deal a few years back so the manufacturers changed the names of the compounds in order to continue to sell them. Now these flavorings are mostly found in chicken powder broth packs, that are ultimately flavoring most of the dishes served. This stuff has a unique taste you can easily identify if you know it. I guess some restaurants do it to guarantee repeat customers. Much love to everyone.

I used to like their food a lot and recommended them to many people. But with my recent visit i feel like their food quality is getting worse. They used to serve jasmine rice but now they use this kind of poor quality long rice. It is hard and has no flavor. Also their chicken meat is not fresh at all. If not for the strong spices they used, the chicken would taste nasty. The orange chicken i ordered is very soggy. I do not want to go there again and wont recommend this place any more.

I will not return here as a customer, although I have enjoyed food from here in the past. I had a problem with a recent take-out order. When we got home and began eating our order, it became apparent that they had given us a spice level of 4 instead of the 1 or 2 we requested. Our mouths burned so much that we couldn't eat our food. I called to explain the problem and first they said that I had actually ordered a 4, then they insinuated I just didn't know what a spice level of 2 tasted like at their restaurant. After repeating I had ordered this before many times and never had this problem, they said they couldn't make a replacement order because they were about to close but that I could pick it up the next day. I requested a refund instead and they said in order to be refunded I would have to bring in the uneaten food. I have never heard of a restaurant having customers bring food back in order to get a refund. I'm sad because this was one of my favorite restaurants, but I don't want to risk having this problem again and wasting money.

This Thai food is so good it almost brings tears to my eyes! Of all the countries and cities I've lived in and visited, this is BY FAR my favorite Thai food (disclaimer: I have not been to actual Thailand). My favorite thing to do here is to order the pad see ew and have whoever I'm with order the pad thai, and then mix them both together.... savory and sweet! A couple words to the wise: - Don't plan on being in a hurry as things don't move super quickly here. It's well worth the wait, believe me, but don't expect to rush it. - Bring cash for a small cash discount - I know the amount of spiciness a person can handle is relative, but I like to think I can handle some heat. However, just know that they honor the number of peppers you order and are consistent about it. If you are used to ordering 4/4 peppers at another Thai joint and it's not that spicy for you, just know that at this place, 4/4 will render your food inedible. 2/4, for me, is a really nice spice, and 2.5/4 is all the higher I'll go when I'm trying to sweat out a cold and it's on the edge of uncomfortable. - The serving staff ARE AMAZING! They are the sweetest women on planet earth... Always smiling and willing to do whatever it takes to make your meal enjoyable. I wish we were friends :) Update: Still the best Thai I’ve ever had. Attached are photos of the awesome fruit infused water and Pad Thai/Pad See Ew. Update: I typically don't have a chance to take a picture of the fresh thai spring rolls before they disappear, but I tried really hard this time. That peanut dipping sauce? OOOOO MAMA! I wish it came out with a straw. Finally was able to get you some pictures of them! Ssoooo good.

Worst service. Took 50 minutes to serve vegetable fried rice after reminding the server couple of times. Didn't maintain the spice level; ordered for spice level 1 (lowest), but the food was too spicy (must be 3 in a scale of 4), couldn't finish it. Thai iced tea was even worse. It's like regular homemade tea with lots of sugar and creamer. Reported this while paying, server said sorry, but the manager didn't care. Won't go again.

Without a doubt the best Thai food in town, even if the competition is really easy. This isn't just surprisingly good for Morgantown, the food here would be good anywhere in the world. The staff was small and slightly slow due to how busy they were but it didn't make a negative difference. The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant is great. Flavorful and spicy food, great jasmine tea. Parking is narrow but it's not terrible. Eat here.

Food is good and my drink was always refilled but the food is made to order so go there when you have time to spend waiting. Our waitress gave us a warning on how long everything will take to make. The red Curry was a little spicy, so don't forget to ask them to make it a little mild. Overall good tai food!! I'll go back.

This place is spectacular. They serve you water in pretty glasses with fruit pieces floating in it. Authentic and delicious Thai cuisine. Don't pass this one up.

We went to tho place and they were SUPER busy... obviously a favorite spot for many people! They were under-staffed with only 2 servers, and though that was obvious with minor Mia Jared, they soon corrected them without our saying so, and the food was FAST and DELICIOUS... with being so busy, I’m not sure I could have done any better. Bravo all around!

Always such amazing food! Fresh and full flavor!!! There are so many menu options to please your palate. Keep in mind, you'll be here for a little while as everything is made fresh when you order, so it takes a little longer than most other restaurants. But, totally worth the wait!
