We had the breakfast buffet on our way home from vacation. It was fantastic. Just what we needed to finish our drive. We didn't eat again until that evening. Food was fresh, there was a huge selection and it was very inexpensive!

Popped in here for a quick lunch and had the salmon with vegetables. To my surprise, it was very good for being at a place like Shoney’s. Staff was also very friendly. Including tip, great meal for coins under $15.00.

Food on the buffet was plenty and plenty cold. Staff was obviously unhappy about being at work and strangers interrupting their conversations with customers they know. The manager leads by example; he was as disappointed as everyone else when a party of 20 called ahead. One staff actually went down the aisle complaining loudly about having just done all his side work for 'nothin'. After all, it was 2 hours and 15 minutes before closing. I don't travel this way often so this place will be easy for me to avoid ever patronizing again. Ever.

Do not order the Italian Feast!. The spaghetti was watery and the chicken was so hard I couldn't eat it. The staff replaced it and it was still the same. Also, it took for ever to receive the replacement. I hope the new manager can bring up the food and service up to the previous managers standard. After this visit I don't know if I will going back

The folks here were kind and efficient. I was pleased with the way that the staff welcomed us. They had a special going on for children and even though it was later in the evening the waitress made sure they were treated to the opportunity. I enjoyed eating here. The coffee was fresh and the food was well made. The décor in the restaurant was done heavily in dark woods and for some reason that made me feel safe and welcome. There were bright decorations about the place and the lighting was well moderated – not too bright and not too dim. Service was prompt and the food was prepared in a reasonable amount of time. All the dinnerware and cutlery were polished and clean. The soda-pop was fresh and the food well-seasoned. When in the area we will be sure to return again to this Shoney’s. The place is kept very clean. The restrooms are all in working order.

Fast and friendly. The soup, salad and hot food bar is good, with a nice variety of hot food items. Get yourself a slice of strawberry pie. Shoneys is no longer open where I live, and when a road trip takes me near one, the strawberry pie, alone, makes exiting the highway and adding a few minutes time to the trip more than worth it.

Food was gross, biscuits hard as a rock, paid $10 to basically eat a small bowl of grits, as they were only thing worth eating. People were nice but when I went to check out the woman asked how it was, I explained the situation, she said sorry it wasn't any good that will be $11... Lmao. Great customer service. Only reason for 2 stars is because everyone was friendly.

We waited to be seated but the two airhead were so busy flirting with the ten plus SWAT team, State Police members we finally left. It was borderline Saturday Night Live, satarical like effort to snag a beefy husband that had all his teeth, but showing someone to a table isn't curing cancer. We would have been happy if you just pointed and said, "Sorry folks, Momma needs a new pair of shoes and The Thunder From Down Under, just walked in".. So, can't tell you much about anything past the slot that holds the menu and crayons for those little ones.

A focal point of the community. The staff has been there for years, love their jobs, and couldn't be nicer. The restaurant is clean and very popular daily for lunch and dinner. The food tastes good and is prepared properly with the buffet constantly kept stocked. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We have eaten at several different locations and this is THE BEST. Food is always fantastic and the service equals that as well. Lakota was our waitress this evening.... the only other one that compares is the one in Ripley WV. I understand it is under the same ownership. Definitely recommend. We usually come for the bar special on Thursdays.

I go here quite often.service is good.keep up on refill. Friendly host. This is my daughters and I favorite place to go. On Sunday which we go more often on Sunday, they have the best buffet bar around, friday and Saturday are for seafood lovers. One thing about this place is that it has a little bit for anyone and everyone. This place is the best. Beware on sundays tho, for which it is busy as it attracts church groups. But it is the best time to go. Breakfast, lunch. And dinner. Just can't beat it.

My father in law had a complaint about his food. The waitress informed the manager and she said he would be over to talk to us. We waited an extra 15 minutes after we were finished eating and the manager never showed up to speak to us. I did, however, see him standing at the end of the expedite area with his arms crossed watching the waitresses. They were not that busy e8ther. So I finally got mad an decided we should just leave and contact a district manager. As we were leaving I asked him for the phone number and he asked why. I told him about how he didn't care enough to come over to the table to find out what was wrong. He said "we don't add much salt to the food." I told him he didn't know what the problem was because he didn't care enough to even come to the table and find out what was wrong. He said "OK you have a great day. " . Now there's customer service for ya there. Now I see why shoneys are few and far between nowadays. The food also used to be much better but the service was the most disappointing part.

Waitress was nice. The food was disappointing, not worth the price at all. Nothing is labeled so you have to figure out what the food is. Salad dressings are not labeled. Food is arranged oddly. Like the butter for the rolls is with the fruit. Chicken was dry. Whole staff looked bored and as if they could've cared less if people were there or not.

I have to say, this place has went down hill. The staff is always in a bad mood. I think Shoneys has made a terrible mistake, and I think whoever the owner is, is acting blind to the decision he has made. He will probably never read this, cause he is too busy sniffing the GM's butt. I feel sorry for the owners wife. Anyways, don't eat here, just keep driving down the road. You are not missing anything special, this place will shut down, just like the rest of them. You would think the guy would realize he can't run a restaurant.

Absolutely disgusted in this place! I went here Tuesday for lunch and saw roaches on the walls in the dining area near the bar, and killed one on my table. I discreetly told someone and they acted like it was nothing and told me that they have the restaurant sprayed every week for roaches. My thought is, if they spray every week, yet there's roaches in the dining area, imagine how bad they are in the kitchen! Maybe if they cleaned the place and fixed all of the broken plumbing in the restrooms, maybe they wouldn't be so infested!

Ok, i know this Restaurant has been around for a "very" long time, but Being in this specific store. There are two managers one is a woman named Trish, and the other is Alexis. It's pretty sad and very unprofessional for either of these two women to use their position in the business, to extort one of their employees personal business to the other employees in the store. Not only do they share ones personal business with the rest of the employment base of the store which I believe is illegal anyways. (They had just "Released" a waitress of her job. Because she is going through a very tough situation in her personal life.) Claiming that the things in her personal life was causing too much drama, creating problems in the store, and disrupting business. "Keep in mind not a soul knew about these problems, until she had no choice than to reveal those problems to management to make a very important phone call." But how is it that the things in this girls personal life " that no one knows about other than her and now management at this point". Can create problems for a store that runs whether or not this girl is there. How is it right that "Trish or Alexis" that created all of these problems for this girl. Take the girls job away and make the excuse that her personal life was stopping this store from making money. Or keeping customers from entering the building and spending their money? It's morally wrong for them to be treating anyone let alone this poor girl like this in any way shape or form. So I personally urge people to choose another location to have a meal, or spend any amount of time or money here, or if anyone personally seeks employment from them. To go and look elsewhere. If Trish and Alexis feel it's ok to wrongfully treat their employees this way. Who's to say that these to females don't spit people's food or worse. Something needs to be done about these two power hungry females, because it's just flat out wrong for these things to happen or let alone be ok in any way. I feel these two Managers need to be Replaced Immediately! Because they alone are giving the Shoneys Name, Store, and Brand a bad reputation!!
