We have all the opinions of people like you who are using the products of New Peking (Restaurant) near to the state of West Virginia.
Currently this firm gets a score of 4.3 stars out of 5 and the rating has been calculated on 155 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average of ratings that it reaches is positive, and it is founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can be quite sure that the evaluation is quite credible. You know that we do not usually bother to set feddbacks when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

First time there, was a blast!
Yes indeed!
Great food!
Normally got and fresh with friendly service.
I’ve eaten here my entire life pretty much. Ever since the reopening, the attitudes received when coming in make customers seem like an inconvenience instead of being welcomed. The food is now TERRIBLE. I eat many things off of the menu but coming here I ALWAYS ordered pepper steak because NO ONE had ever compared to Peking’s. The wonton soup was old. When asked for chopsticks it seemed to be an annoyance. I replaced the rice with plain lo mein for over 10 years and when asked was flat out told no very rudely. I won’t be returning which is a shame because there used to never be a question of the place to eat. They should have just stayed closed and went out with a bang on a great note.
Excellent food beautifully cooked great value. Customer service superb. Had a delish chicken chow mein
Try the bar in the back. Also, seafood soup is outstanding. Traditional Chinese dishes but much better than the average Chinese restaurant.
Liked the food and service, needs a good cleaning in there.
Unfortunately, food was not very good. Used to love this place.
Love their chicken fried rice!
Food was ok not as hot as I prefer staff was good
Absolutely delicious! Kane is so delightful as are his drinks!
Lunch bar is very good.
My grandparents bob and Wanda have known the owners for years. Great food and they are the nicest people. Always used to stop in after church. Fast service and they are happy to do anything for the customer.
Local favorite for Chinese food.
Had lunch there and was not impressed based on reviews and other options in the area. Very limited lunch buffet and lunch menu. Their dinners may be very good and what we had was ok. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because everything was 6.50 which is pretty good. The decor was nice, but the seat I was in was all ripped up.
Love this place good good wonderful friendly staff
You don't want to know. Kane is the best
Great food with great prices.
The best Chinese food around ❤️
Always friendly with great food.
Always a good time at the Peking!!
Food is very good, service is wonderful!
Great Chinese food restaurant. Nice selection of food and drinks. Good portions for reasonable prices. Plenty of seating for all occasions. The buffet is quite small but has good choices. Staff have always been well mannered and attentive, keeping drinks full. The only thing that this place needs is a updated interior and exterior design cause it's looking quite weathered.
great place
Best chinese food in Martinsburg
Our drinks, appetizers, dinners and service were all outstanding. If you're looking for real Chinese food, this is the place. Kane special and steamed dumplings are delicious, try them.
We love the Peking. It all started on 1996 on a blind date on Valentine's day. Now twenty years later the Peking is our favorite spot to eat and still all the same people runing the show, just a different location.
Love me some Peking, always good food and always good service.
Great food
Love the place and great people to meet.
It's not as good as it used to be, but it's still pretty good We've been going here for a very long time and remember some really good meals here.
I've Been meaning to get there for a long time and now i finally made it and it was worth the trip food was excellent. I definitely will come back again.
Amazing food. Great prices.
I asked if they had chicken teriyaki. CHICKEN TERIYAKI. very simple. I asked if they had it BEFORE I ordered AND THE LADY SAID YES. I get sent home with Chicken on a Stick Satay. I come back. The lady says they do not have chicken Teriyaki EVEN THOUGH SHE SAID YES ON THE PHONE but that this chicken satay was similar and "very good." So I take home 4 pitiful chicken sticks for $5 EVEN THOUGH I ORDERED TERIYAKI and try them. They are bland. 3 measly pieces of chicken with 3 slivers of onion/bell pepper. This is something I would never order regularly and something I will never order again. It was expensive for what I got and gross. I fed it to my dog as a treat for her. The wonton soup was very standard except the dumplings had no meat in them. They were big balls of noodle and A fraction of whatever meat they put in dumplings. Also the crunchy noodles were very stale. I am not saying don't come here I am just saying I will never come here again and I will never recommend this to anyone. It was a huge waste of time and money and I feel like I was lied to just to make some money. On top of all that the food was bland.
Buffer was very small when we were
Good quality food. They just need to fix the roof leak.
I cannot say enough about this restaurant! The service is spot on. I prefer to eat in the back where my favorite bar tender runs the entire section like a well-oiled machine. My food is always perfectly made which says a lot considering I'm quite picky. We have company dinners here and it's great that they have an entire balcony section for large parties.
Wonderful place...Kane special drinks are wonderful
Service was terrific. Fast seating and the food was great. Highly recommended.
Food is always great and the staff treats everyone like family! My family has been going for decades and it is the best place in Martinsburg no to mention, best Chinese I have ever had. There is no place like it! Seriously!
Went to the new peking last night. I was so excited because I had eaten there many times when I lived in martinsburg ten years ago. I had always loved their food and considered them the best chinese place in town. They have changed though... Heard they closed and reopened with new owners. Could explain why I was totally disappointed and will not be returning. My boyfriend and I showed up... some guy greeted us from halfway across the restaurant and made us walk to him to be seated...and then were not given a menu until we asked for one. They brought us a basket of stale won ton chips and 2 sauces. We ordered two wonton soups, pepper steak, and egg foo yong. The meals came out separately and before the soup. The pepper steak meal came out first. Then the egg foo Yong meal came out...then finally the soup. When the soup finally came out the won tons were so tough I sent it back and the broth had no flavor (they did credit the cost for my soup after I asked them). The egg foo yong was greasy and the sauce which usually is more like a gravy but was more like broth. The pepper steak was adequate but was more what I would expect from fast food chinese...not a sit down restaurant. The waitress looked so unhappy to be there and barely checked on us. The food quality is so much worse than I remember it being. It's a shame that a place that used to be soooo good has turned soooo bad. I will not be returning.
Still the best Chinese in town.
What's not to love. SIt down chinese restaurant that has been around here for years. You get to know the staff pretty quick and they will remember you after about 2 visits. Nice atmosphere. Really good mixed drinks ask for a "Cane Special". Food is even better when it's not Friday buffet.
A visit to Martinsburg wouldn't be complete without New Peking's egg rolls! I've eaten at this restaurant for many years and through a couple relocations and it is ALWAYS delicious.
excellent service treat. every one. like. family
Great service, great food!
Love the friendly service and fresh food. This award wining restraunt has been a Martinsbutg icon for 38 years serving the best food food with pride. I love this place and the people
I have been coming here for years and I am never disappointed with the food or service
Great food!
The best Chinese restaurant!
Expensive for what it was. Very bland! No taste. Very disappointed. Will not waste our money again.
Always a friendly smile, good food, great drinks, one of if not the best place to go and feel at home!
The New Peking kept the atmosphere of the original but had an updated menu that was very satisfying.
I was really surprised by this place the food was fantastic. Absolutely will be back
Great food
Always good food, service, drinks, reasonably priced, plenty to eat. EZ parking.
Under a new owner, food very good but not as great as previous owner. Place has a slight oder.
I don't think i have ever had a bad meal from here. The food is always hot and just how i asked for it. The servers are always nice. I wish they delivered but it is worth walking to!!! Love love loveeee it
The food is delicious as always, but there is a terrible smell in there I dont know if it's from the filthy fish tank or not but it needs a good cleaning and some air fresheners!!!
Great food, great service.
Service is great , staff cheerful and food has always been hot and delicious.
Good food, great service
Not the same since it was sold. Went back twice to see if it would measure up. The bar side were Cane work needs to reopen and bring Cane back Cane made the business for Pekings.
For more than 40 years this restaurant was the best in Martinsburg. But since it changed owners about a year back, the food is only average. They said that they weren't going to change the recipes but every dish I've tried in the dozen times since it re-opened under new management has been bland. The beef us chewy and the chicken is tough. I don't know what happened.
Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Can't wait until we go back again.
Great food, cheap lunch menu, the best place to get Chinese in the 4 state area!
Phenomenal go go go go there. Wow !!!!
***WARNING WARNING*** If you don't want food poisoning DO NOT GO HERE!!! My wives uncle, brother and myself ALL GOT TERRIBLE food poisoning. The WORST part is the shrimp is what did it to us, and there was a guy that kept following us around INSISTING we eat the shrimp. If anyone has ever had food poisoning before you know how TERRIBLE it feels. This is not a lie or a meaningless attack, this is just a customer who is trying to protect others from feeling the way I did. *** WARNING WARNING***
Sorry to see Peking closed. I hear someone else will be opening the restaurant, not sure of what changes will occur.
The are out of business now. New owner and new staff coming soon.
The best cocktails and wonderful service
Good staff and tasty, if unsurprising, food. I would give it five stars but the parking situation is a real pain.
I've been going for 39 years. Some of the same friendly faces for every one of them. Great food and family atmosphere.
Quality food, long time local and family restaurant with good service
Family-orientated
Busy picked up and left ok
Service was a bit lacking, buffet was very good but not well attended.
Went on Chinese New Year very good food
Ordered Four Seasons, taste not good, lobster is not fresh. $$
This place is THE BEST. I don't quite know where to begin, so I'll start with what happens when you walk in the door - immediate grinning greetings (by name of course if you're a regular) from the Peking service team. I have eaten here probably 50+ times as I've lived in Martinsburg over the years and not once have I not received the warmest welcome. Peking is a community staple. If you're new to the area, it should be on your 'top 5 must visit list'. The food is delicious, and I am very surprised that more Yelp reviews don't reflect this. I have eaten a lot of Chinese food in 29 years and this place is literally THE BEST - fresh vegetables and flavorful sauces! The crunchy noodles they serve are addicting (don't be ashamed to ask for another bowl!). The tofu & vegetables in medium-spicy brown sauce is my go-to order. Other traditional favorites include the vegetable lo mein and Szechuan string beans. My husband (meat eater) recommends the mixed vegetables with chicken in brown sauce. Also, to help all the deliciousness go down, you MUST order a Kane Special - this drink is Martinsburg's most notorious and celebrated cocktails. The perfect subtle blend of fruity spirits - you won't be sorry...well, unless you order more than 1 and try to drive!
Food was awesome but service was a little short staffed
Excellent
Great chinese classics..Drinks are also amazing.
Great just as always. Best Chinese in Martinsburg and service was great.☺ Always a 10.
This place has a pretty decent buffet, and amazing crab rangoon.
Foods was delicious
It was good not great but good
Have been going there for years, purc purc takeout last night food was terrible won't ever go back didn't taste like Chinese food anymore. Sad
Peking has been my whole family's favorite for decades!! Best Chinese food and Best Service!
The staff here is very accommodating. I have been going here for years and they always remember me and what I like. The new owner is took the time to introduce himself is very friendly.
Try the Cain Special! It's a drink you will never forget! Or you can go with the Flaming Volcano...a drink made for two...or more. Lol
The New Peking is a Chinese restaurant in downtown Martinsburg. The restuarant is always clean and the food is very high quality compared to most Chinese food restaurants. The buffet on weekends is very good and pretty reasonably priced. They supposedly have one of the best bars in town although I can't personally attest to it. Service is very good and everyone is super friendly. It is more expensive than the "Old" Peking Restaurant but still reasonably priced for what you get.
I've always loved this place, I've been going here since I was a small child, and the food only gets better
Best place ever, eat there about 5 times a month for years! Nice people and food is always hot!
Ok food, but will order fresh from menu, no more buffet.
I'm a frequent visitor for the shrimp toast, ragoons, spring roll and shrimp lo mein. I'm very picky about the freshness of my vegetables in my lo mein. But Peking does it well, every time. My family also loves their food. The alcohol is a little steep, but most is at restaurants.. $12 for two bourbons. I do feel uncomfortable when the servers stand across from where we sit staring at our table the entire time.
