Great Indian food
This is my favorite restaurant in Huntington. The lunch buffet is always changing and offers a wide selection from the menu. The quality is incredible and very authentic. I suspect this Inidan food is either regionally specific or the recipes used are from the family. This is some of the best Indian food I've ever had and I eat here as often as I can. I highly recommend it and often bring my family here when they are visiting from out of town.
Superb food at good price. Don't miss the lunch buffet.
Our favorite restaurant in Huntington
Needed a change for dinner one weekend and so my friend an I ordered this. The people were nice, the food was authentic, overall pretty great if you're just looking for a different type of dinner one night.
My favorite restaurant in Huntington. Authentic and delicious Indian food and excellent service! My favorite menu item is the vegetable thali combo platter
Not at all Indian taste. Food seems to have more american touch rather than authentic indian.
Food tasted great, but a few dishes had too many bones.
I love to try different Indian restaurants when I'm traveling. This is Def in the top of the list!
Menu is authentic. You can order mild to spicy. Portions are very generous. Staff takes the time to answer questions or make suggestions.
Excellent food but service is noticeably slow.
The lunch buffet is delicious and the price is amazing at 8.50. There was a great variety and all of it was very tasty. Their full menu is extensive and also affordable. I will definitely be coming back!
I try something new every time I go, and I've never been disappointed. From the rice to the hot tea, everything is full of complex flavor. My husband and I love this place.
We love it. Go there during buffet time to see what you like best. It is a great deal!
Nice, typically quiet dining. Good food and service.
If you think you don't like Indian food this restaurant will change your mind.
Great food and amazing service. If you've never tried Indian food, I encourage you to try the lunch buffet. For $11 you can try a huge variety of favorite dishes.
Terrible meal. Started out with old lipstick on my wife's wine glass. Incredibly salty yoghurt sauce and saag pander. Chicken was tough, obviously not freshly cooked. Naan was very good. Basically left our meal there uneaten. Will never go back, although years ago this was a favorite. Heard couple next to us, who are regulars, also complaining on the meal service.
Had never been before. Enjoyed the food, atmosphere and the service. The food was a fair price.
if it was possible to give a zero star would have given that , worst service staff ever seen in the history of hospitality , arrogant and impolite , horrible food and poor experience, one place which you can surely avoid while in hunington
Never disappointed by this place! Excellent service and food!
Great Service as always. You won't be disappointed.
Wow! Delish food!
I have eaten at this restaurant more times than I can remember. It is one of my favorite restaurants in Huntington. I love the food and I am NEVER disappointed.
The wait staff was the greatest I’ve ever had very attentive and it was my first time eating Indian food it was absolutely delicious will be back
Terrific food. Had a coupon that they didn't accept on Sunday for lunch, even though the coupon never stated that.
Good food and great service!
This is our go-to date night restaurant. The food is the best in Huntington.
Excellent service, fantastic food. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options.
Great buffet. Great menu. Great service.
My whole family LOVES to eat here! My son's especially like the "lobster chicken" and the breads, and some of the veggies. Everyone I have brought here likes the orange-colored chicken in a creamy sauce, the salad with marinated chicken, the desserts, and at least some of the vegetables on the buffet. We always feel better after we eat there.
very good
I've been many times and have never been disappointed. The meat ball marsala stacked on some rice is my favorite.
This restaurant has a friendly era and tasty Indian food, an overall nice place to try Indian food for the first time. I went to this place with a few other friends to try Indian food for the first time. I ordered Steak and Shrimp and it was delicious- it was nicely cooked and full of flavor. The waiter was also very nice, catering to our every need and really chill about my friend’s babies crying. Although it was fairly quiet, I really do think this place needs more customers, and I’m definitely coming again :)
So good the chicken was awesome
Consistent great service and great food always a wonderful experience.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. Service is always good, food is always great. Highly recommended.
Indian is our favorite cuisine. I've eaten it in at least 50 different places throughout the country. Nawab is among the best. As a matter of fact, I'm in Hanging Rock, Ohio today, so I'm going to travel there today for lunch. Make SURE that your first visit is during the buffet. I can't begin to count the dozens of times that I've had the buffet there, and never twice has it been the exact same foods. Always incredible though!
Buffet at lunch, menu for dinner, yum, worth every penny
Some amazing Indian food with some Great naan
..... Me : Hello, do u guys have lunch buffet today. She: YES Me: May I know the menu please? She : Are you in Huntington Me : Yes She : Then come and check the menu. Me: Hung up.
Ate here a lot. Not a fan of the buffet butter chicken basically clay baked chicken broke into pieces and put into curry. The chicken maysala is the best. No beef dishes. I love beef curry. Also thry should add garlic naan to the buffet bc the buffet is kind of boring. Besides that i like the food when the buffet is set on the food i like. The buffet is different daily so u may not get what you like that day. Melroy is the best waiter, ask for him and tip him well. He always is polite and takes care of you with a smile.
They have a great buffet and lots of vegetarian options! There isn't one thing on the menu that isn't worth trying.
We need more chicken Tikka masala in this world. Small but nice restaurant.
This was horrible! Everything that I had from the buffet was dry and lacked flavor. This was not authentic Indian food ... I actually don't even know what this was
Best Indian in the tri-state
A little better than the Indian restaurant in Charleston. Tight execution. Ala carte prices for Saturday sides is reasonable. the buffet features the usual standards but was neat and replenished so the food was good.
The best Indian food I've ever had. Great service as well. I've traveled a lot and nawab is still my favorite.
Service was good. Food was hit or miss. One dish was so salty that we told the management. They said that's how it's made, but i never had a dish that salty at any restaurant Indian or otherwise. No accommodation was made on our bill. Prices were reasonable.
Lovely place and amazing food. When they tell you that Hot will melt the skin off your tongue, they aren't kidding. I got medium and was still sweating bullets.
The food is excellent, service prompt and professional, and the only place I can get actual hot food.
Not a great food. They've very cheap lunch buffet
Awesome food. Right amount of heat (I love spicy food)
Melroy is the best!! Delicious food and wonderful service every time!
I love the food here but since I'm driving from almost 30 miles away to begin with I don't want to have to take a second mortgage out on my house to eat here. Rather pricey off the menu and buffet was ho-hum. As the only Indian food around though, they have no competition and they know it.
The chicken tikka marsala and naan were delicious! We all 3 loved our meals. Great that they're open late in downtown Huntington.
My fiancé and I stopped here on a passing through. Indian cuisine is our favorite, and we loved this place! ❤️
Great tasting authentic North Indian food at a very reasonable price! I recommend the Malai Kofta and the Gulab Jamuns! Best I've had in the US!
One of my favorite Indian restaurants..
Wonderful authentic Indian food with very friendly staff clean facilities and eating space cheaper price range and a lot of food to go with it would recommend to anyone
From out of town, stopped by for lunch buffet. They sat me and served me even at 2:15 PM, fifteen minutes before the close of lunch. Their official website didn't list the split hours, but I wasn't harried by the staff at all. The food is a good quality for a buffet. Very tasty, great spices, mild to no heat, but it is a buffet selection. Looked like three vegetarian dishes(one with cheese), three chicken dishes, plenty of naan and good rice. If you are ever in the area and enjoy Indian food, give them a try.
Very good food lunch buffet good choice today I really like ch dish vich have mix vegetables ..... I give 5+
The food wasn't terrible and the place was fairly clean, but there were flies and fly traps throughout the restaurant.
Delicious, fast, friendly, and affordable.
Not my cup of tea seasoning to much
Great food
I love this place. It has a wonderful lunch buffet with different choices throughout the week. Delicious food!
My wife and I are in town for a family emergency and, looking to get away and eat some good food, decided to come here. It is a damn shame we will likely never eat here again due to the distance from our home (over 5 hours) because we had an absolutely excellent dinner here. The service was great, the food was great, and the price for what we got was good in comparison to other Indian restaurants we've eaten at. I highly recommend this place and if I ever get the chance to eat here again I gladly will. I can easily see why this place has been in business for so long.
Please cook the damn meat..!! Chicken and shrimp in rice entrees are just half cooked. Edit - stop calling yourself indian cuisine. I was giving another chance to try it, but disappointed again, dont try puri
My Boyfiend and myself hated it the service is good but couldnt hardly stomach the food never again!!!!!
Always delicious, but today was exceptional for some reason. One of my favorite restaurants in the area. Always enjoy the buffet.
Great food on the buffet
Great food good price. This is the first Indian restaurant ate at way back in when it opened in 1997. Every restaurant that was in that location went out of business yet 20 years later it's still going.
Awesome selection, great service
Went there for the first time and was blown away. The buffet was delicious and had plenty of options for anyone. Will be returning for sure.
Food was fine here. Some dishes were mediocre and some were goos. Service was terrible. We came in, and I received a message which I was checking. The server basically shoved the menu in my face without even the slightest of the intimation. Very rude! We were not given all our orders together. At first, my colleges were given rice and I wasn't. They were not given their naans, but they got their curries. They waited for a good 10 minutes before they received their naans. I was told I'll be getting my serving of rice soon. And after asking three times, over twenty minutes, I was told that my serving of rice was included in the serving of rice with my colleagues. The dessert was given after I was given the check. I was overcharged for the food. Apparently, the prices were changed on their new system but the menus were not upgraded. I stood my stand to paying for what was provided on the menu, and not a dime more. My colleagues were overcharged as well. All this happened when there were one other set of patrons. All other tables were empty and this was 2 hours before closing. If they cannot handle two tables, I am not sure how they would be able to handle the situation when most of the tables are occupied. Not a good experience. Not going to recommend the place to anyone.
Attentive service and I've never had anything I don't love here. I highly recommend this place. Lunch buffet is a great deal!
Awesome lunch buffet!
I always have a wonderful experience with the service here! They go above my expectations and the food is really good depending on your taste! I have only eaten here 3 times due to the pricy venue, but it is well worth it!!
Amazing food! Love the ambience! Amazing staff!! The flavors bordered on nirvana! Best Indian food I've ever had!
Great Indian cuisine. Best in the tri-state area. Always clean and comfortable.
Stop by nice place
Best (my favorite) place in town. Best Indian food in the state by far! The best of the best.
What can I say? This is the only Indian restaurant in town but it is a fantastic one. The service is excellent, the food is excellent, it is just a great asset to Huntington. Stop by for the reasonably priced buffet at lunch time or have a family style meal at dinner. Just stop by. So good.
Friendly people. Good dishes.
There's a lot of reviews indicating that the food is authentic and traditional. These people have never tasted the real authentic food. Despite living close for years, I have dined only twice. After trying the Nawab in Charleston, which was fantastic, by the way, I have decided to give it a try one more time before writing a review. I'm not sure what changes but the Charleston one is far better than this one. I guess the only reason they're still in business is because they don't really have competition here. The only reason this review has an extra star is because of the excellent service provided by the server. Sorry guys, but you gotta do it better and let people know that our food, in reality, tastes better than you cook. REPLY TO THE COMMENT: Why would you assume I am writing a review based on South Indian food? Either way, your food is just overrated.
Appearance belies the quality of the food. Never had a bad experience.
May be the best deal on Indian food in all of the Mid-Atlantic! The lunch buffet has a great selection, though the number of items isn't overwhelming, each featured dish is usually executed well and with a ton of flavor.
Very good Palak Paneer and Lamb Jalfrezi. Ordered Indian Hot but nowhere near hot enough.
Placed was clean, decent food, decent price buffet
Nawab fish
I went thinking it would be a buffet, but that is lunch only. I was concerned because I didn't know what to order. We ordered two different dishes at the recommendation of the waitress. Mine was the Chicken Chilly medium spicy. It was amazing! I tasted the other diner's Chicken Tikka Masala and it was also very good. Even the rice and garlic naan were great. Highly recommended.
got the buffet takeout and was not disappointed! yummy!
The Mango Latte was really good! I love Indian Cuisine! Until i can visit the India again, I guess this is the next best thing! Thank you Lora for treating me to Lunch!!
Buffet is acceptable, though the food is made to please the majority and you won't find obscure or spicy foods. The price is very acceptable and service is good.
Love the lunch buffet! Their rice pudding is supreme! Bright, friendly atmosphere for dining.
I dropped by to get a takeout of their lunch buffet. They give you a takeout box and you get to fill it up with the dishes you prefer. They offer a variety of vegetarian dishes in their buffet menu so, this place is vegetarian friendly too. A few dishes like the channa masala, paneer gravies tasted good but the rice, naan and carrot pudding weren't good. Their staff were polite and helpful during my visit. Since this is the only Indian restaurant in town they should make sure that all their dishes are good.
The dining room is a bit rundown but I've seen worse. The menu had a lot of options and the spice level could be customized for everything. The aloo ghobi and chana masala were good. It's worth a shot if you're in the area.
One of the best!
Love eating there
Food was ok could have been better
Great indian food . classy place
Good Quality. Not too spicy.
If you like Indian food, this is good....I did not....
The smell of the food from outside this place is so bad it makes tbe homeless down the block not feel hungry anymore and some of the food looks like green baby poo.
For veg , taste s goodd..
Wow, this place is AMAZING! My favorite Indian restaurant! They have a buffet that is worth every penny. Great staff too, the workers are super nice and will be happy to answer any questions! I asked how they make certain foods and they stand their and tell me all the steps! Super nice! Just wish they had some Indian deserts to go with the buffet. Other than that no complaints!
I never post my review but first time in disappointed with a service if nAwab in Charleston even under same ownership I heart good thing but Charleston restaurant is the worst of the all waste my time I never left the restaurant without order I wait for 30 min no-one came for our order the gentleman look link owner I think he should feel some responsibility to serve the customer but finally we leave a restaurant and went to little india even it’s not busy at all . I don’t think we have a best Indian restaurant in wv
Small selection on buffet but the food is great.
Nothing negative to share
Great place, great service, great food!! Never been disappointed. Have eaten off the menu and buffet. Both are great!!! We live it So much we start craving it if it's been awhile.
Very friendly service. Great food.
I enjoyed their buffet l, a delicious variety.
Great food and service. One of our favorite places.
Great food and outstanding service.
Amazing food and excellent customer service!
I usually love Indian food but this was not good at all. The garlic naan was like eating a fresh garlic bulb. The dishes were so bland. Terrible restaurant. Won't go back.
Excellent food, chai tea and friendly efficient service. Buffet at lunch tasty and full of vegetarian options as well as meat entrees if desired. Small salad bar also. 2 buffet meals for around $20. Can't be beat! All you can eat Finish off your meal with a cup of delicious chai tea. Pleasant setting with kind and prompt waiters standing by to assist you.
Great food excellent service. I had the chicken curry. I recommend it.
This was the first time I have had Indian cuisine. It was one of the most delicious foods I have tried. The staff was great, and the food was outstanding.
I thought the food and atmosphere was nice. My only complaint was the lack of a delicious dessert. Today's dessert was some dish made with carrots. It wasn't bad, but it was more like a side dish than a dessert. I needs me sweets!!!
Lunch buffet is awesome! Dishes rotate, but they are all wonderful. Great vegetarian option. Sunday = samosas... My favorite day! Oh, and you can't take a sip of water without it getting refilled immediately. Ha.
Not a fan of Indian cuisine, not a kind of food that's enjoyable
Bar none, my absolute favorite restaurant in the tristate & best tasting Indian food that I have tried in 5-7 others places all across America.
Only Indian food gig in town. Prices are uncontested. Setting is very stark. Nothing more than a fair Indian meal. The food is not too bad. But consistency & quantity is variable. They just got a new cook & @ my last visit blamed him/her for serving me in a much smaller bowl than usual. Did replace only one out of the 3 orders that we had for the right quantity. The place does not have any specials; not even on a special occasion like Diwali. Afternoons buffets are ho hum; nothing out of the ordinary, & bland for the traditional non-vegetarian, but, OK for the uninitiated asking for an Indian meal. A la Carte' is the way to go if you really want to. The liquor pours are generous vs other nearby restaurants, especially if you ask. Overall, OK for a quick evening out, but not the place for a romantic getaway. And once again, very pricey for the food... vis-a-vis standard Indian fare elsewhere.
Their chicken tikka is unbeatable!
best indian food in huntington Hands Down. The Lunch buffet is a treat.
Very good service. Quick seating and food running. Would recommend.
The food is delicious and authentic. The atmosphere is elegant. The service is great. Hours are very convenient and there is plenty of off street parking right in front of the entrance. I give it my highest recommendation
Worst food i ever had in my life. You guys really need a good chef not good chef but at-least a chef who knows how to cook. Is se acha to ma bana lu ghar pe. This is dis-respect of indian food on inter-national platform. This is not even close to indian food. I know everyone want to earn profit out of his buissness but you should also keep this thing in mind that you guys are representing a nation in terms of food and flavors. Other than food even our national flag was not in good condition. I find it very disrespectful for indian national flag.
Good food. We eat here about once a quarter. Always a good meal.
Amazing Indian food, great selection for buffet even. Best Indian I've had thus far!
Love this place! Been to many Indian restaurants while traveling and still prefer this one. The waiting ataff is always friendly, and remembers our order everything we come in.
Great food! We will be back!
Great buffet at lunch that always has different food and is always cheap!
Best authentic Indian restaurant in Huntington. Good customer service. It is a little bit pricey and small portion.
I love this place! The buffet is always filled with a variety of traditional Indian dishes for an affordable price.
Good experience. Didn't know west virginia had a good Indian restaurant. Good servers.
The lunch buffet is very good. The buffet choices vary some from day to day but some items (tandoori chicken) are always available. It makes my day when the rice pudding is on the buffet for dessert. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the prices are reasonable.
Nawab is my favorite Indian restaurant in Huntington. Their chicken masala is my go to! Plus, their hot tea is the best! Their staff is super friendly and attentive. They make sure that your cup never goes empty! I love Nawab!
The food is amazing. And as someone else said, it's very much akin to aromatherapy when you walk in. While my wife isn't overly fond of the place, due to her limited palate, I could eat there every day for the rest of my life and be perfectly content. The only places I've eaten better food were in Philadelphia and Las Vegas. And those were a lot more expensive, with higher class dining in Philly. And a massive buffet in Vegas. If you like Indian food, or have never tried it, but are curious, you have to try here. It's out of this world. Staff is extremely attentive, and very polite. I found the decor to be quite charming, and the restaurant as a whole to be clean.
Food not fresh and sometimes not cooked well. Nawab not like as it used to be.
Very nice atmosphere and wonderful food
Love it here.
The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. Thank you! I wish I lived closer so that I could eat here more often.
This place is delicious. Great staff.
Food was excellent.
We love the lunch buffet! Great deal and delicious food. Make sure you check the hours because they close in the afternoon for a few hours before serving dinner.
Great lunch special until 230pm
Among food but they need to refresh then when they are done not let us wait
Inexpensive and delicious!! Courteous staff.
I love Indian food, but I don't like their food.
It is one of the tastiest Indian restaurant around. Friendly and helpful staff who were unfazed despite the huge dinner crowd.
Love this place. Eat here ever week.great menu. Great food
Amazing food!
I've had Indian cuisine all over the east coast and the food at Nawab can compete with some of the best places out there. I'm extremely happy to know they are around the corner. Everything is so good but my personal favorite is the Goat korma, it's listed as chicken korma but they'll do it by request. Yes, the Indian spicy is actually spicy. I also recently tried the buffet, it's fantastic.
