Here you have the opinions of people like you who bought the products of Nawab Fine Indian Cuisine (Restaurant) in West Virginia.
At present this business receives a score of 4.4 stars out of 5 and this rating was based on 143 reviews.
As you can read, the average score it has is quite good, and it's based on a very large number of reviews, so we can conclude that the rating is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to give their score when they are satisfied with the service, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to give opinions when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant is included in the category of Indian restaurant.
The staff is friendly and helpful. Food was so tasty. Large variety on the buffet. Great way to try new things.
It's ok ok
Just tried you guys last night. Did a double-take when I saw you could actually use Grubhub for a Charleston restaurant. Then I prayed to the good lord above that you guys would stay in Charleston for a looooooong time once I tasted the food. This is the best Indian I've ever had, and I've lived all over the east coast all my life. Please change nothing.
Excellent food and service. Extensive menu with many price points.
Good food and nice staff
I’m so excited that Nawabs has finally opened a restaurant in Charleston! We used to live in Huntington and it was our favorite place to eat. Best tikka masala I’ve ever had at both restaurants. We hit up the buffet on Saturday and there was a huge selection and the service was great. Will definitely be returning.
The food is always very well prepared. The dining area is clean and well kept. The staff is exceptionally polite and treats my toddler son with great kindness and respect. Love patronizing this establishment!
Lavish Buffet
Just had the lunch buffet and it was delicious with a lot of choices and everything labeled. I could eat the veggie pakoras every day!
Classy atmosphere, great service, great food and service, good selection and fair price!
A star for the service, A star for the ambience and A star for customizable options given! I suggest you change the Biriyani or the process whoever makes it, it was just basmati rice mixed with a curry of choice which is not the actual biriyani. It tasted good, quality was also good but please don't name it biriyani unless it is done the right way. The combo meals seemed to be a value for money but for the biriyani, I felt okay as i used a coupon.
Great Food...a nice addition to the community!! I hope they keep on doing what they are doing!
The food was delicious and the variety was great.
Food is excellent - since it is newly opened it is a little understaffed. Lunch buffet has 6 or 8 entrees.
Traveling through Charleston when I arrive there they are not open waste my 20 min
Best indian restaurant in the town. Lunch buffet is a hit. Good job.
If the superior service doesn’t attract you, the cuisine definitely should. Some of the best naan in Kanawha valley is found her and the chicken masala is second to none. Everything you find at Nawab is incredible, after several trips here there has not been one disappointing moment.
Excellent indian food.
Incredible and delicious Chicken Vindaloo! Curry flavoring was outstanding, the chicken was succulent and fresh, and spice level was just right (I like Indian on the hotter side). Would highly recommend Nawab to anyone looking for a delicious Indian cuisine in Charleston.
It's a great place for Dine
May not look like much, but... the food is very good, as is the service and dinner menu. Lunch buffet is extensive and priced right. Looking to try something different, this is it!
Very good food
Best Indian in town by far......Little India and Sitar of India are going to go out of business once the the word gets out.
As good Indian food as you can get in Charleston. Service is improving. The thali style assortment plates provide huge portions and decent quality. Spicier than most WV restaurants. Go easy on the heat unless you want to feel the burn.
the food is delicious. like REALLY good. i’d give it five stars except for their playing fox news on the tv. that’s not funny or appropriate. tucker carlson sucks.
Plentiful selection of flavorful Indian cuisine. Served buffet style, restaurant is clean with real china plates to dine on.
Good food and friendly.
Placed a takeout order online and the service was fast and friendly. The goat rogan josh, garlic naan and raita I ordered were excellent, and I’m a longtime fan of Indian food. Very impressed! Prices for entrees and sides are pretty standard compared to other Indian restaurants in town. Can’t wait to try the buffet!
I would consider Sitar the same or better in everything EXCEPT the palak paneer. Nawab did that very well. Most of the dishes at Nawab were either bland or death-salt though. The other upside to Nawab is that it isn't in downtown Charleston, with it's parking issues. There also seemed to be an ant infestation attacking coconuts they put out on both sides of the front door.
They had a buffet that had alot of variety, the food tasted great, the service was excellent. The restaurant was clean and conveniently located.
Food was insanely delicious and very authentic. Great naan and very tender meat and vegetables. Great spices. Service is a little slow though and you will be left to your own devices.
Great food great atmosphere and very helpful staff..best Indian food in town does not hurt either
Lunch buffet during the soft opening was top notch with great diversity. The naan is amazing.
We order last Saturday. We order Chicken tikka Masala but that was very spicy
This was our first time eating dinner at Nawab. We got the non-vegitarian dinner for two. It included an appetizer, a chicken and shrimp course, entrees, and dessert along with an order of bread for $40. Everything tasted great. Our server was polite and courteous. We will definitely be going back so we can try some other plates. We got our food medium, but easily could have gone hot.
Very good. Best Indian food in town.
This is easily the best Indian buffet in Charleston. Everything is delicious.
I tried Nawab for the first time today with my cousin from Florida. We arrived late into the buffet time period so I wasn't expecting much, but the food was surprisingly fresh, and definitely very good quality ingredients were used. Vegetarian, chicken and one beef option were available, a dessert rice, some garden salad, raita and chutney. Tea was also available, apparently as part of the buffet. The seasonings are deep but not overly spicy, and everything had its own distinct flavor. I also ordered the bread basket separately and the various flatbreads that arrived were all delicious, fresh and obviously housemade. The waitstaff was very attentive without being obtrusive and because I have weak American tastebuds I drank a lot of water with my meal. My glass was refilled promptly whenever I needed it to be. The dessert rice was very nice, not too sweet, with some coconut and a bit of dried fruit in it. The butternut squash dish was exceptional. I looked at the extensive menu while I was waiting for my cousin and they have vegan options and will also take custom orders if they have the ingredients. I wish they had additional paper napkins for those of us who are affected by the spice, but other than that I have zero complaints. I will definitely be going back.
Great menu, friendly staff and good food.
I haven't eaten here yet but I deliver for Grub Hub and I get 3 to5 deliveries a day for them so my guess would be it's pretty awesome
First time we've ordered take out here. We got the Vegetarian Combo for Two. Ample amount of food(enough leftovers for lunch the next day). The food was the best Indian cuisine we've had in our visits to Charleston. Service was excellent as well. The dinning room looked cozy & inviting
While visiting Charleston , West Virginia we decided to try Nawab for Indian food. We found the restaurant to be clean and nicely furnished. The service is nice and friendly, with wonderful Indian dishes, spiced from "Mild to Indian Hot" ... they can make it just right for you ! We shared the Tikki Masala, garlic naan, and the Balsmatic rice. The portions were just right, spiced just right for Indian cuisine. We found the prices to be very reasonable, and they offer a great bar with both beers and wines to choose from. When in Charleston, enjoy Nawab Indian
Great indian cuisine. Attentive service. Clean and best in town.
ok
I was there today for my birthday for the first time. The food was wonderful very flavorful the service was spot on.
The lunch buffet was fantastic. The Chicken Tikka Masala was the best in town. They also had a Chili Chicken option on the buffet that was the perfect amount of spicy. Everything I sampled from the buffet was delicious, and I can't wait to go back! Once they work through some of their service lag (visit was during their soft open) this will be a wonderful lunch location!
Food was great. But did not like when waiter put styrofoam container in my face as he sat it down on table.
Wanna try Indo-America good (not Indian ) it’s the best place.
For some reason, the food at this place tastes much better than the one in Huntington. Also, they mean it when they ask you twice if you wanted "hot" or "spicy" if you take Chicken Biryani; so please be careful.
never disappointed since they open in Charleston
Very delicious food
This is not an indictment of their food. I have found their buffet to change frequently and have some very wonderful dishes, including a few I’ve never even seen before. If I were rating the food only I would say it’s close to 5 star, and certainly every bit as good as Sitar in downtown Charleston. They are near my office, so I was excited about being able to run out at lunch and have quality Indian food quickly. I eat by myself at lunch because my work schedule differs from the others in my building. Doesn’t matter, usually I’m doing paperwork while eating anyways. After my first few trips there I notice that I am asked to eat at the bar instead of a table. The first time I was asked to simply try the bar. So I did. I wasn’t happy with the bar, the lighting is bad and there is enough stuff piled up there that you feel like you are in a storage room. You become an afterthought to the waiters as well. The next time I came in I was directed immediately to the bar despite there being tables available. They tell me it’s because I am by myself. While there I notice two tables with just one female occupant sitting there. So today I went back again. When I walked in I am asked if I want the bar or a table and I say table immediately. I start walking towards a table and the host says the bar is available. I continue to walk towards a table. When I get ready to sit he tells me he guesses it is ok I sit there because he doesn’t really know how busy it’s going to be today. I was among the first people in for lunch and there were more than enough tables available! In addition, of the only two occupied tables, one was a single female occupant who I assume was not asked to sit at the bar. Like I said, the food is solid. But the attitude and insistence about sitting at the bar has lost them a customer. I do not plan on returning. 5 stars for the food, 1 for the service, 3 stars overall.
So good I ordered a take away for tomorrow. Excellent food nice people.
Just home from a mediocre at best experience. They’re not ready for prime time. Saw two tables get up and leave due to no service. I ordered a seafood rice dish and it came with one shrimp, no scallops and a big pile of freaking goat in it
Food was great. Service was awesome. This place had a really family friendly atmosphere.
Saturday bar was good, wasn't pleased with management. I dine on a regular basis. I am a former owner of a Restaurant so I truly understand management, customer and staff.
Excellent tikka masala
Love it! Visit often, always good. Online order pick up is on point!
Need a lot of change to improve. I leave a table without any service from then last Saturday
Very fine food, served piping hot from the kitchen. Reasonable prices and very hospitable wait staff. Everything was outstanding!
Stopped in for the buffet Friday and found it to be OK. The experience was upscale with real linen napkins and tablecloths plus glass stemware. The food that I tried was very good and not overly spicy. I really enjoyed the warm naan brought to the table. The only down side was that several items had not been replenished. There were no leafy green salads in the two spots provided and the main rice option was nearly empty (the rice was refilled just as I was leaving). I take some responsibility as I stopped by just after 2pm and the lunch hour rush. Buffets are notorious for hitting a dead zone for refilling when the crowd begins to dwindle and I knew this might happen. But that’s not an excuse especially if they keep the posted buffet hours. They may still be in the soft opening mode and working out the details. I still enjoyed my visit and will try it again, just a little earlier. And the price of $9.99 (food only) made up for some of the shortcomings.
Food was good. I had never tried Indian food. I liked the buffet. Got to try a lot of new things. Service and atmosphere were good. It would have been nice to have something sweet to end with.
Fantastic food in the Charleston and Huntington location. We've had some service confusion on orders or possible language barriers with certain servers, but everything is delicious and service is very nice and accommodating. Anyone who gives extra rice is good in my book!
Had the buffet....Great options, fresh, and very tasty
Excellent Indian cuisine!! Buffet style with lots of options for both meat and vegetarian dishes. Mango lassi and tea were part of the buffet. The naan was seriously terrific! Very friendly service too!
Need to improve delivery service
Low quality food served. Felt like food should be couple of days old. Hard roti's as well.
This is an amazing Indian restaurant with a great lunch buffet with lots of vegetarian options. The food is spicy and super tasty just the way I like it. I was overjoyed to be able to eat here and any time I get to Charleston this will definitely be my go to place to eat. The prices are great as well. Very reasonable. So thankful for this place.
I have eaten here now a handful of times and it has not let me down yet. Great experience every time.
Tried their dinner with my husband, very elegant place, chicken tikka masala was excellent. Coming back for sure.
Great food and environment--service is extremely good. Great teas
My wife and I have enjoyed Nawab in Huntington. The same comfortable atmosphere. Clean. Really nice selection on buffet today. The butternut squash masala- inspired. Delicious. It's expertly prepared Indian cuisine. Thank you for coming to Charleston.
Lots of vegetarian options on the lunch buffet.
Excellent food
Nice food, polite staff and soothing environment. Try it once.
Their lunch buffet never disappoints and I always enjoy the delicious vegetarian dishes. It's great to have Nawab Fine Indian Cuisine back in Charleston. Now I don't need to travel to Huntington to enjoy Indian food.
I love Nawab. The food is great and so is the service. The place is always clean and very busy at lunch time.
OMGosh, I love this food! Everything is so fresh and tasty. A new favorite! w/Will McCormick
Excellent meal, very good service.
Clean, friendly, delicious.
This is a good one. Enjoy!
See “Plaza Maya”. Strike “Mexican food” and replace with “Indian cuisine”. Ninjas. True masters of their trade. ‘nuf said.
Great good and great service. Love their other location in Huntington too.
I went to their soft opening lunch buffet and was very impressed! Great service, delicious food, and an inviting atmosphere.
Food is outstanding#
Prices were steep as was expected, and the food was hot and ready. The selection isn't massive, but that is to be expected.
Lunch buffet was delicious at their soft opening!
