Our server was great. Host tried to seat us at a dirty table..He brushed the food on the floor with his hand... Then he puts the menus on the pop/food sticky table, complete with dirty napkins on the floor...we stand there till the server comes over and we explain why we are not sitting.. She cleans the table and apologizes more than once..None of us could figure with all the empty tables why he chose that one.. The food was okay, going to give it a B-minus because my loaded chicken tacos had onion and Chicken...the server apologized again and brought all the fixings we should have gotten...All during our meal we were entertained by dish breakage in the back of the house... Maybe that is why the place is empty on a Friday at 8 pm. Server gets an A the over all experience is going down as a B-minus...

Actually left. Got there @ 11:07am. Opens @ 11am. Waited until the party of 9 were seated. Waitress has to push tables together. The "hostess" arrived with purse & coat on. Meaning late for work. Told us she would be back. When she finally came back to seat us, in an empty restaurant, she had to get a hair tie. That's why we waited. By now there are many more people in line. So we went to Atria's. Where the wait staff want to serve you. So, bye max & erma, never going back.

My rating for the food is actually a 4+ but I reduced the overall to 3 stars due to my experience at the restaurant. Cashier needed help (she was gracious and polite). She needed help with the # if take out orders she had to handle. Poorly handled by management if there was any on the premises.

EXCELLENT!! Had not been to a Max and Erma's for years because of a bad experience at a now closed one. This Max & Ermas is above and beyond AMAZING!! Their service, food quality and their spacing of the customers (a little pet-peeve of ours when restaurants sit everyone on top of each other even when they are not busy) was above all other restaurants. The manager must be GREAT at training his employees! We came when it was just before the lunch rush and from not busy to busy our waiter never missed a beat checking on our needs. Glad my husband finally gave in to give them a try again. We eat out 3-4x's per week - Max & Erma's now moved up to one of our most favorite! Glad to be back!!

Was driving through after having been out for a day trip out of state and was looking for something different to try. I was a bit unsure if they would be a good place as they were going to close in an hour. The staff was very friendly and the food was hot and fresh even with them working to close. When a place still gives great product and service that late in their day it is a great place. Definitely recommend and will be sure to stop in again whenever I am in the area.

Good but used to be better. We no longer live in the area and hadn't been to Max and Emma's in a few years. I know we used to get the salads all the time. This time the salad was very small and really didn't have a lot on it. It was good but not great. The Tortilla soup was very good I wished I had gotten a bowl of that instead of the cup. Service was excellent though. We would come back just based on the service.

It took 45 minutes to come after ordering . My wife's salad was wrong, it was to have grille chicken and no chease. It came with frayed chicken and cheese. So my son and I were done when her food came. Nice.

We like Max and Ermas. We hit it up every once in a while when we are heading to the nearby casino. As usual we had a good meal and great service at this location. We always sit at the bar when we go there unless we have family members meeting up with us. The bartender and other employees were very attentive and very friendly. The food came out perfect. The restrooms were clean. I recommend stopping by.

There's not much you can say when your food is over 30 minutes late and you have to flag down a waitress from a different section to let them know. To make matters worse, management barely offers an apology or anything for the inconvenience. Enough to keep me away. The food was ok...nothing special. The reason for the one star is because of the treatment we got when we arrived. We had a table of 9, the hostess was nice but we heard the bartender say that he should have told us for a table over 6 that we should call ahead. There were a total of 5 tables seated in the restaurant so they were far from busy. Sad way to treat the customer when you're in the service industry. At least our waitress made up for the bartenders lack of service.

They overall have quality food with a lot of different choices. I got the ham and pesto ciabatta and it was fairly good. The atmosphere is typically lively at night but not too active other than then. Their ice cream bar is nice, good for kids and adults. Definitely recommend as a solid fallback if no other places sound good and can easily be a first choice depending on how much you like their 1/2 lb burgers.

I'd give it a two and one half. Friends raved about Max and Ermas burgers. Ordered a beer off the menu only to be told it wasn't available. Ordered a burger medium rare and when it finally arrived it was overcooked to medium. I requested a side of blue cheese dressing and had to remind the server when the meal arrived. Burger was..okay. Finally, the check arrived while we were still eating. I gave the server my card with the check in the folder. The folder was returned with my card, the original bill and a pen. Nothing to sign or to leave a gratuity. When the server finally returned she couldn't find the statement and told me just to sign the bill and she would sort it out later. I had to get the manager to locate the bill for me to sign.

Burger was pathetic. Price wasn't bad but other restaurants that compete in this space are starting to make better food. The place has the goofy overdone decor that permeated most casual chain restaurants in the early 2000's with stupid "vintage" things on the walls.

Server was friendly but much more attentive to larger party tables, my beverage was empty for some time before I had to get her attention for a refill. I ordered a well done cheese burger with their "bottomless" fries. The burger was very pink in the middle, again had to find my server to have it cooked to order, and the wait for more fries was substantial. After the burger was cooked again I did enjoy it. Hope your visit will be great.
