My mom works just up the road from Main Tin, has ordered food from there a few times and recommend it to me. Over the summer I was working across the river from South Charleston, in North Charleston, so I decided to order from Main Tin for lunch one day. I thought the prices were reasonable and I got a decent amount of food for what I paid. I think I got the lunch combination special that came with General Tso's chicken, pork fried rice, and soup. The chicken tasted wonderful; it was some of the best General Tso's I've ever had. I'll be stopping by there again next time I'm in South Charleston and in the mood for Chinese food.

Way overpriced. With my small family, it was $40 for cold food that has been sitting out too long, & the ice cream machine wasn't working, which is why we went there to begin with for the kids. It use to only be about $23 for our family of 4, which I could tolerate for that price. Very disappointed, and we won't be going back ever. China Gourmet in corridor G has much better food & prices. We spend about $25 there, and they have fresh sushi including baked rolls, and ice cream for the kids. Much better food selection, atmosphere, & price!

I love the owner of the place, the staff is his family and they are awesome but the food needs a little work. Sometimes the noodles can be dried out and well that is a theme with a lot of their food. I hope to see the improve.

Went and told the guy at the front and he said well not everything on the buffet is hot that next time I need to order from the menu. But the buffet is supposed to be hot! Not happy with them. I've come to their buffet and its so/so love their peppered chicken so yeah. Tonight I just ordered carry out and I have to say the carry out is so much better than the buffet. I enjoyed every bite so did my family. Thank you so much!

The person on the phone hung up on me and said he wouldn't order to our area... even though I have countess of times and have a menu from out previous orders. Super rude and I have always tipped well. Never again. I am highly didisappointed in this establishment. I just came back from a trip and was happy to order.... never again. Rude, rude, rude. This is my first experience with totally shunned and I have been a loyal customer for years.

It was pretty standard chinese buffet food. Every dish was like most other buffet chinese places (which includes excellent green beans). The sushi had way to much rice. However the man at the front was exuberant and friendly. The waittresses were prompt. It was like $7 something not including the drink. I would probably eat here again, especially if in a hurry

I would stay away from this place. There are many other great chinese options that don't lie to their customers about prices. Make sure if you get a delivery to check their menu and not be overcharged!

The server was not rude but unpleasant, don't remember 1 refill, before the cashier brought us the bill. Had 2 children. one was making noise and no other customer was in the restaurant. Cahier MAYBE trying to be funny made a comment specifically saying we should've left our kids at home. We disscussed where we would go for awhile before we chose main tin. I doubt I'll make that choice again.

The food was like that of your typical Americanized Chinese food but what made me give them 5 stars was bc they came out of the restaurant with my sweater bc I had forgotten it there. Not many people will do that.

Do not go to eat here between 3 pm and 5 pm for you will be charged the dinner buffet price and have the lunch leftovers that are dry and stuck to the pans. The lunch price is over at 3 pm, but the food is not replaced until around 5 pm for the evening crowd.

The lunch buffet is inexpensive and there is a wide variety of food available, including a sushi bar. The waitresses were always sharp and attentive. A great deal.

Ordered food at 7:20pm was told I would have my order in 45 minutes I called back to check on my order because it’s been a hour and a half was told that my order hasn’t left yet I tried to explain to the guy that I was told I would have my order in 45 minutes and it’s been well over a hour the gentleman hung up on me the staff is very rude and disrespectful food finally arrived two hours later with no explanation on way it took so long

If I could leave ZERO STARS, I would to be honest. Probably the worst food I’ve ever had. Waitress brought us the wrong drinks, all the food was dried out, the fruit was WARM! Not much of a variety of food, majority of the food was cold. Absolutely disgusting and unappetizing.. Won’t ever return..

Tonight was my first time there. We were so excited to try a new place. I was there right at 5pm and drove all the way from Winfield. When we first walked in the door nothing but yelling from the kitchen staff. It was so loud we joked it felt like a Chinese version of Hell's Kitchen. We figured it wouldn't last long but we were wrong. We ate almost the entire time over 30 minute long argument. I hope it was for good reason because we figured fresh food would be on buffet for dinner. Nope!!! It was old and low on everything. Sushi was almost all completely gone. We hardly liked anything because it was all drying up i guess were the staff was too busy arguing over whatever to attend the buffet. I then charged $25 for this food and a less then relaxing dinning experience. I didn't like it at all other then our little server who tried her best and could tell she was embarrassed. The other tables around us were annoyed as well. Not a good first impression and i hope they take this rating serious because they know exactly what i am talking about. Sad part is i work at a restaurant and would be ashamed if my guest especially people whom never dined in before had to witness it. I wish i would have taken my $25 and ate somewhere else closer. Highly Disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't want to write this review at first, because I thought the food was fine and the service was great; but when we went to leave my husband saw a cockroach on the wall behind us. He then took our one year old daughter over to look at a fountain and came running back, saying he saw about a dozen tiny cockroaches crawling all over the fountain and it was TIME TO GO. My only concern is if we saw this many roaches outside of the kitchen, how many are IN the kitchen?

We went in with three adults and a toddler and everyone loved everything they tried. And the soft serve ice cream was actually good. A lot of times at these kinds of buffets they seem to water down their ice cream mix and this place wasn't like that. Friendly and very attentive waitress.

Was greeted cheerfully and waitress was pleasant, but really can't say much about the food. Chicken was tuff and other pieces were mostly chicken fat. Crab rangoons were so leathery I couldn't eat them. Sorry, but would recomend or go back again.

I like Main Tin for the great employees and cheap buffet. Admittedly some of the other Chinese restaurants have better food, but they also cost more. Really the only complaint I have is that the food on the buffet could be kept hotter, but I'm usually there late in the evening near closing when there are few customers so my timing is partly to blame.

Came in for lunch at 1230. Food on buffet was old already. Cashier (think hes the owener) was rude to my friend when she asked what soft drink products they carried. Waitress was EXTREMELY rude when my friend asked for a drink to go. At least I didnt get food poisoning this visit.

Bland buffet that had been sitting for a while. Hot and sour soup was thick and many dishes tasted and looked similar. You can easily find better food. Facility was also in poor repair with wrinkled stained carpets and loose fixtures in restrooms. Do not recommend.

I ordered from Main Tin and the lady taking the orders did not get my address correctly. It was an hour and a half and she called me and was angry with me, because my phone was on the charger and I did not hear it. I gave the address right the first time. I asked if there was going to be a discount and she said, "no we are not doing that. " So I said, I won't be ordering from you ever again."

Good food. Mostly good service. Hostess who seated us was not friendly. Was very grumpy face. Seemed agitated that I asked for booth. When I tried to explain that reason I asked for booth was I needed softer seat than a chair due to medical procedure I had just had. Hostess did place us at a booth but would not speak to me or look at me and was very mad in face. Waitress was very pleasant and helpful though she said she did not speak English. She went to grumpy Hostess for help to understand me. Grumpy Hostess came over to our table and grouchily asked if I needed something. She must have been having a VERY bad day.

I hope nobody else waste their time & $ by choosing Main Tin to have a bite to eat!!! I will NOT be going back & will be telling others to NOT go there either!!!
