This Restaurant belongs to the category of Thai restaurant.
I got the pad Thai. It was really good until I realized it smelled like my grandfathers diary farm. Then it made me kinda sick. Gave it to a homeless guy tho so
Excellent food and service
Not my favorite on food .but service was polite
Very good food! Extremely accommodating for my gluten intolerance. The food is consistently yummy
Really tasty assembly line Thai food. Pleasant surprise in Morgantown
Good service, reasonably priced, and large portions. Their drunken noodles and pineapple fried rice are amazing.
The food was very good, and can be customized to almost any level of spiciness. The crab rangoon was excellent. We went during lunch, and the restaurant was only 1/3 full. Service was so fast that the crab rangoon took less than 5 minutes and our entrees were delivered before we had even finished the appetizer (and we are not slow eaters)!
This is my favorite restaurant in Morgantown
The Pad See Ew is my favorite!
There potstickers were delicious
Best potstickers around town
Nice, clean, fast. Good food. Menu was a little confusing for a newbie
Really tasty, very friendly atmosphere. Menu was a little hard to understand
This place is now my favorite restaurant. Great food. Fast and friendly service.
Pleasing decor and authentic (and delicious) Thai food for any exotic foodie.
Tasty Thai food at a reasonable price. Seating area is nice and clean. Ordering food is a little strange, but otherwise alright. You must order at the back counter, pay for your meal, and then wait for your food to be delivered to your table. Fairly large selection of beer, they have both imports and domestics. Chicken Pad Thai is my favorite dish from the menu.
Excellent food. Clean place. Lunch time is kind of strange or odd. There were no waiters or waitress. You took your order and table number to the counter, paid and then the cook staff brought it to your table.
Love their Pad Thai! Maybe some say I'll order something else. It all looks so yummy!
Great service and food!
I love it, ❤️❤️
Awesome meal, nice and quiet...afordable too
Delicious authentic Thai food. Cute decor on the upscale side. Loved it!
Food is very good! I felt like it was a little pricey but overall was very pleased. Ordering took us a little while but we were there at a busy time. Food still came to us quickly. Will be back!
Great Thai food - a favorite lunch spot.
The ONLY thing this place has going for it is the seating area and location. Last night, I took my young daughter and my mother out to eat my favorite food,Pad Thai. I have never eaten at this place, but they're the only restaurant around that serves Pad Thai. I've had Pad Thai in over 30 restaurants in 4 different states, and what they served us here was without a doubt the worst I've ever had. The only beverages( American/non alcoholic) they have are pepsi an sweet/ unsweetened tea in bottles. I watched the "chef" multitasking while cooking our food, he was talking and texting on his phone the whole time. That explained the look and taste of our food. You can't work properly when your using your shoulder to hold your phone against your ear, or cooking one handed while texting with the other .The noodles were over cooked and way too starchy. The scallions looked as if they were chopped with a butter knife, 4inch long to paper thin and over cooked. We ordered the chicken, but only found a few pieces the size and thickness of a stick of gum and afew smaller scraps of meat. The overall flavor of the dish was bland and texture was slimy and sticky. My mother ordered the spiciest "thai hot", which wasn't even kid's meal hot. Immediately after eating afew bites ,my Asian food loving daughter had enuff. I made it thru 1/2 of mine before giving up. We were all sick to our stomachs after eating, pulling over several times on the way home to vomit. Even my daughter who only ate afew bites was sick, and this is a girl that eats edible insects. Long story short, all you need to know is :the flavor is terrible, the preparation is lazy and over done, the prices are too high, 3 beverages , lazy irresponsible staff, and you'll get sick as hell after you eat here.
Omg! Delicious! We had to travel to Cincinnati Ohio to have great Tom yum! Not anymore!!! This place is amazing! Casual and comfortable! People are so nice!
One of my wife and I's favorite spots in town. Great Thai food. I don't mind the ordering setup as you have to grab a menu and figure out what you want, then go to the back counter and order it. It honestly saves me on tip because you don't have someone waiting on you and I am capable of waiting on myself. I get the Pad See Ew and it is excellent. Great flavoring, but I would recommend the wide noodles. They make it much better. The only complaint I have is the confusing heat rating of their food. They show options for 1 to 4 stars but you find out later it actually goes to 10. I prefer about an 8 so when I ordered a 4 (thinking it was the highest) and couldn't even taste the heat I was confused. Just know to order higher than 4 if you want a little heat.
Came here for lunch on a weekday, and it did not disappoint. The menu is comprehensive, you order quickly at the back of the restaurant and they will deliver food to your table within minutes. Portions were perfect and just enough food for the price. Would definitely come back next time in town!
The food is amazing! I try to go for lunch at least once a week.
Good food for a self service
Food tastes great, large portions, quick service, friendly staff, clean restaurant.
Used to be better. Sort of a fast casual type place now. Food is decent, but the process of ordering is awkward.
Quick dining experience ordering at the counter and meal is promptly made. Casual atmosphere with plenty of international dishes. Also offers carry out.
Awesome, delicious food served piping hot. Friendly staff, decent prices, clean bathrooms. Definitely my new fav piece to eat.
Good food, but also too sweet. Not very spicy either, regardless of the spice level chosen. Good for a sweet tooth but not for authentic Thai. Prices are pretty reasonable.
Chicken Pad Thai is excellent!
Easy to order, really good price point relative to the quantities you get (which are enormous), and some of the best Thai food you can get in Morgantown if not the best. Kudos on selling Sapporo, Chaang Thai, and I'll be back for the 100 spice level.
Good, quick, and reasonably priced Thai food
Good authentic thai food and plenty of it. Very good Experience
Delicious.
Fantastic! Food was so good I couldn't believe it! The guy taking our order at the counter either didn't understand English or didn't want to try. Kind of frustrating. Back to the food! Fresh, flavorful, amazing! I would go back today if it wasn't 5 hours away.
Simple casual dining experience. Very clever-seat yourself-style. Just remember to flip the table sign to reserve the table otherwise it'll be taken. Nice thai menu options for all eating preferences. You pay when you order at the counter in the back. Again...casual
Food here is GREAT and given in large portions!!
I had my first experience in with Thai food or a Thai restaurant here and I was not disappointed! I will definitely be coming back to try more Thai food. For my first Thai Meal I started off with Pad Thai and it was delicious. The restaurant was also really cool in that it didn’t really have waiters. You went sat wherever you wanted and once you decided what you want you went to a computer and order and paid there. When your food was done it was brought out to your table.
Been here twice and the food is great and comes out so fast! Went with my girlfriend with who is Thai and she approves. The staff is very friendly. The spice levels could be spicer but people have such a different tolerance to spice I get that they don’t want to make dishes too spicy. Overall this place is clean and staff is great definitely worth a visit. People who reviewed negatively here have only review places 1 star so take them with a grain of salt.
Great food with very large portions and quick service.
Food is excellent. Ambience nil. Prices moderate. Will definitely go again.
Felt like a drive thru experience.
Great Thai food!!
OMG I love the
Excellent food and friendly staff. Large portions but I'm not really complaining. Spices are always proportionate and delicious. I love how they have included halal items on the menu as it has broadened my options! Will be back!
Thai food must look beautiful, and it must have a lot of fresh ingredients. Americans are ready for authentic Thai food.
The pineapple fried rice is amazing, although, I wish I could get it hot. The last couple times I ordered hot and it came out mild. But 5 star, amazing quality
Food was excellent. Definitely recommend the Thai tea. One of my favorites. People are also very nice and food is served within 10 minutes of ordering.
I'm adjusting my review. I previously gave three stars, but they have bettered my opinion! Great portions, decent quality, take out was ready in about ten minutes. They have a spice section by the door so you can bring some chili sauce and peppers home with you! You'll need it if you like your food spicy. I'll be back, but next time I'll be asking for the food to be prepared spicier than their scale suggests.
Get the firecracker chicken, Heaven on earth.
Great taste but everything tastes a bit sweet - spiciness is not something they're good at. Also, the portions are about 95% satisfying - it always feels like a couple more bites would actually fill me up.
I have only ever gotten 2 things from here but it is fantastic. Their rice noodles are fantastic and you definitely won't leave hungry. 11/10
Chaang Thai isn't bad at all. I really enjoy the restaurant's layout and it's one of the few places I can get a decent Thai dish in West Virginia. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a spot to eat on High Street that's a little bit more formal. A lot of the food on high street is better suited for carry-out (which should be expected given its proximity to WVU) but Chaang Thai is a good place to sit down and have a nice dinner.
I honestly don't get all these high reviews except that people around here don't know what to expect from Thai food. There is a much better choice of Thai food to be found in town. Just look around. There aren't even any Thai people working in the restaurant. When it was sold, the quality of food and service dropped dramatically. Not that there is service, it's kind a self serve. The better Thai food place appears to be owned by the old owners of this place. Save your money, move on.
Easy ordering from the kiosk, food was amazing and served piping hot! Prices aren't bad. Very clean restroom. Friendly staff. Yum! I'll be eating here a lot.
Good thai food
This Thai restaurant was incredible. We arrived, got our menus, ordered and proceeded to get our meals all under 10 minutes. The food is delicious! Highly recommend for a quick bite!
I've been coming here since it first opened. The inside, service wise has changed a lot. There are kiosks now to order or pay up front with cash. Food is delivered quickly, hot, and delicious. The quality of food has remained the same over the years. One of my favorite places to eat in Morgantown.
Good food. Great size portions but not a fan of seat yourself style. Other than that this place is a good value.
Incredible food and portions for a moderate price. That coupled with great service and cozy seating makes for a great meal!
The thai tea, spring rolls, and the Spicy Noodles was delicious. The chicken Pat thai however was a different story. They asked me if I wanted it spicy I said make it a medium believing I would have at least a little heat, but no. It was sweeter than candy. Also the service is similar to a McDonalds. You order food at a counter. When I go to a sit down restaurant, I expect a waiter. You even have to refill your own drink, and they still want a tip. However, they do offer a 5% military and WVU student discount.
This place is great and I eat there at least once a week. Portion sizes are very plentiful, the staff is very friendly and welcoming, and most importantly the food is great! While I do order mostly takeout, the dine-in experience is typically very pleasant especially after they remodeled and moved to a more "self-serve friendly" model of dining in. Overall, definitely recommend.
Chaang Thai is one of my favorite places to eat downtown. I literally never write reviews but they are just amazing. Amazing food at amazing prices. Awesome staff, friendly as &$7@! $3 drafts?? Of Devil Anse?? I love them. Highly recommend.
After a couple recommendations from friends, my wife and I decided to give it a try. I am so glad we did. The food was amazing! We both got the Crazy Spicy Noodles with Chicken. It may be my new favorite place to eat. The food arrived quickly and it was very hot(temperature) you pick the spice level. I was very impressed for sure!
One of the best places to eat in Morgantown for people on dietary restrictions (lots of gluten-free, vegan/vegetarian, and Halal options). The prices are a little hefty but the huge proportions make up for the prices. Their service is very quick thanks to their set-up for ordering, and they also serve a good selection of local craft beer here.
Delicious food and not too crowded. Amazing place!
Great food, not spicy enough, and very sweet.
I have been at all hours. The place is never packed. It is very unique that you order and give them your table number. The cashier can be hard to understand as he is very quite, but he is very nice. The food is amazing, and the portion is be far generous.
Great food and good prices. Gluten free options available.
Love food. Great location
I love their food! The quality and consistency is what you want for a restaurant. If you like spicy, don't be afraid to take the plunge - they have slightly Americanized their scale. Enjoy!
Love this place, come here for the pad thai
Has gone from great to ok. Service way down as owners try to cut overhead.
Spicy spicy
Their pad thai is my absolute favorite and I love for it.
Great food, always, but all self-serve now. It sucks. Even self pay monitors. Need to being people back into the equation.
Best Asian restaurant in town and huge portions.
Great food, love the fried green beans appetizer.
Don't even know what to say. You get your own menu, you seat yourself and then you have to go to the counter and order. There wasn't even an acknowledgment by an employee that we were even there. We endef up leaving without placing an order.
The Chicken Pad Thai is so good it should be illegal as a controlled substance. I honestly have no clue how the rest of the menu is because I just get the same awesome thing every time I go here. The setup is a little odd (turn over a marker to get a table, you order in the back with your table number and they bring the food out, I never know how much to tip for the service, etc.), but for an $8 lunch, this is some great food.
Love their food!
Our favorite restaurant in Morgantown. Great food, fast service, and efficient way of ordering. Clean and spacious. PLUS! - many, many gluten free options. All of their delicious curries are naturally gluten free and they will basically accommodate a gluten free diet with most things on the menu. The owner is personable and stops by our table every time to make sure everything is good. Prices are very reasonable and portions are more than ample.
