Great place to have brunch as a couple or in a group. It is very family friendly, they created extra space for some parents with kids. It gets very busy on weekends and we found no way to make a reservation online. You need to show up and add name on the list and wait inside or right outside if they are out of space. Food didn’t take long to arrive after our order

Diana Morris

Beautiful decor. Gets busy quickly but we were lucky to find a table in the bar. Amazingly it was a 4 seater and actually quite spacious for the 2 of us. Service was good. Ordered the jambalaya; very delicious, excellent spices. It was however quite salty.

Audrey Lee

Every dish. Always delicious. Never disappointed. Perfect everytime. Love this spot.

5 stars: Food quality was fresh, tasty, generous portions, and completely satisfying. Got what we hoped for and as good as always. No changes needed. (Had the trout salad and cauliflower soup combo, and the nicoise salad with creamy grits on the side). 3 stars: Lunch service from the staff side was underwhelming. Not bad, not overtly rude, but host and server both seemed distracted. We had finished our meal before the server came back after first delivering it. So no drink refills or asking if everything was okay. We didn't eat fast as we were talking and restaurant was busy but didn't seem any busier than usual (we were seated without a wait). Note to restaurant: the floor between the restaurant and the bathroom was quite slippery and needs some sort of safety mat since it cuts through the side of the kitchen. Not safe. The tap water had an unpleasant/funny taste. Enough so that we didn't drink it. Haven't noticed that before.

Gabriela Oliver

A top place for quality Creole. I love it here. Quick, helpful, and friendly service. The place has an awesome atmosphere. Mood here reminds me of San Diego's scene.

Jeff McCarthy

The food was very special and the decor was even better. We happened to have the owner's daughter as a server and she was fantastic. We really enjoyed learning about some of the details behind the decor. Truly enjoyed this experience!

Robert Williams

A great place to drink a little too much, and obviously the most happy hour options in the area. Creative, tasty and cheap (at hh, given the quality) puts Toulouse near the top of most lists in this town.

Dan T

Our friends invited us to go along for some breakfast. Wow! Our waitress was courteous and made sure our experience was memorable. Each of us ordered something different and we were more than satisfied with the amount of food and it's preparation. If you're in the area, this is a must for breakfast.

Frieder Lauer

Excellent food and well designed interior. Distinct atmosphere!

Carla Castro

Staff and decor was on point, unfortunately the food didn't match up. Oversalted! Guess we caught the chef at a bad night

Max Weinger

There is no place I've ever eaten where I was as astounded by every thing I ate, truly great pricey but worth it! Honestly the scallops we're the best I've ever had and the halibut almost ruined all other food for me! The steak is to die for as well, bring your appetite and your wallet!

OldNavyGuy Patt

This place probably deserves a 5 and i came here for unique cajun food and although it was good.. what i ordered wasn't great.

Vanessa Carter

Great experience and delicious food. Be ready to drop some cash though. The chicken dinner I had was one of the best dinners I have EVER had. The taste was amazing and I would recommend this as a fancy dinner date night.

Sebastian Beck

Food was superb. Service was great as well. Breakfast happy hour is the best thing since sliced bread. We had the eggs benny with crab and it was a absolutely fantastic dish. Highly recommended!

ron akrish

Extra unexplained fees on the bill filthy ducting above our heads. Super over priced and rude waitstaff

Timothy Sox

After dining here I felt like I had brunch in the south. Chicken fried chicken, ouuufff! Delicious. There are so many options I will be back to try. Some not too spicy so be adventurous and try something different. Service was amazing. Though it was a Saturday morning, we were sat right away and then it was really busy. So get there around 10 to 1030. I will be back for another amazing dining experience.

I came here while on a family vacation and I was so glad I stumbled on Toulouse Petit while searching Google Maps for a place to eat! The atmosphere was amazing. I was stunned that there were 250 candles (real, not battery) flickering around the entire room. Their menu was extensive--so many options to choose from! And the food was delicious. Between the four of us there we tried all three soups on the menu, each perfect, and four different entrees--all fantastic. I highly recommend the cauliflower and crab soup as well as any of the steaks, halibut or the Jambalaya! The best part of the evening though was the manager's handling of my food allergies. The chef was not only made aware, but the manager also took the extra steps to go through the recipe book to triple check everything in all of the sauces to make sure that I could have a safe meal. It was wonderful to have someone care so much about my safety. Thank you Toulouse Petit!!!

Dan Yan

The wait is long at peak times but the food is delicious. Servers are friendly and attentive.

Meg Black

Food was absolutely delicious. Atmosphere was very good, but it was loud. Cane chairs were uncomfortable. Our waitress was terrible because she had trouble focusing on anything.

Eli Gaffke

Amazing breakfast food. We stayed a block away, should have gone everyday, unfortunately didn't go there till the last day.

Chase Coburn

The food is insanely delicious. We have been here a few times, and each time we were not let down. They food is amazing, the drinks are well made, and overall, the staff is friendly and efficient. However, in general, always, always make reservations.

Melissa Morrissey

Fabulous food. Great service. Came highly recommended. Huge portions.

Cynthia Moon

Love the atmosphere as well as the food, the menu is expansive, something for everyone. Amazing French Onion soup!

Dianna Hobbs

The BEST restaurant in Seattle. The food was absolutely amazing! So tasteful!! Completely delicious. I loved the flavors so much I ended up over eating. I couldn't stop taking bite after bite after bite. Everything had so much flavor! The atmosphere was great as well. It's a real lively restaurant there's a lot going on at once, and it's packed and quite loud around noon. Really fun when you're drinking. The decor and architecture is straight out of the French Quarter! I commend this place for their efforts to bring New Orleans to Seattle; they've definitely succeeded! The menu has a great selection and the kitchen is very accommodating in terms of requests. The staff are really friendly! I recommend this place to anyone, tourists and seattlites alike! If you're in the neighborhood, you NEED to check out this restaurant!

Pete Daoura

Great food, service, and atmosphere.

Alisa Conner

The service here and the ambiance is phenomenal. The beignets are so delicious. I had the meatloaf breakfast and boyfriend had the pork cheek hash, we both liked my dish much more than his. I think I would have preferred the hash if it was browned a bit. A wonderful dining experience overall.

Chris Thorn

Overwhelming set of choices with great bar. We had two different shrimp dishes - both were excellent. Wine selection was also good.

Delaney Delorien

Good food & courteous staff. However the bathrooms are in the kitchen. Didn't love that

Johnny King

Excellent breakfast with friendly service. I had shrimp and crawfish with andouille sausage. It was magnificent! The grits are amazing!!!

Kathryn Chung

Like a lot of reviews - excellent, delicious food, but subpar service. After we were seated we waited 40 minutes for service. I would understand if they were busy but this was earlier in the evening with many empty tables. Also feel sorry for anyone with bad eyesight - their menu font kind of sucks and is really hard to read. With how many items they have its a little intimidating...ive attached some menu photos but i cant gurantee their readability...i tried my best. We ordered the gumbo and dungeness crab imperial. Jambalaya was okay despite reviews but the dungeness definitely lived up to the hype. Excellent, cheesy, and very delicious. Gumbo was also good. We also had the gnocchi which was very rich in taste and flavorful but the actual amount and size of the gnocchi were smaller than we expected. Beignets weren't bad but we might have been overly hyped from previous reviews. Had better in San Francisco but im not sure how it compares to the rest of the Seattle area. They serve it with a bitter sweet coffee sauce which was okay and not nearly enough powdered sugar. Also had the bourbons ice cream which was really good and a definite highlight. I heard they sell out sometimes so order if you can. Overall atmosphere is great with rustic tones and a creole feel with many lit candles everywhere.

Josh Butensky

Bring your appetite! So many delicious options to choose from. Recommend making a reservation, can be very busy (for good reason!)

Ryan Simon

Nice place to have a meal and relax with friends and family. Lovely ambiance.

Jenn Rynkiewicz

Almost brought my husband here for our anniversary but went elsewhere at the last minute; really wish I'd stuck to the original plan. Met 2 colleagues here for lunch and it was delicious. I think the heavy creole vs French influence deterred me, but now I can't wait to go back and try more dishes. Had the crab on fried green tomatoes and it was yummy. The other ladies had a salad with pecans, which was another dish I was eyeing and sounds like it was delicious, and the gumbo which sounds like it had a decent spice and I could see had plenty of protein.

Justin Peytral

Very fast wait times for a Saturday night. Wonderful service and food.

Christian Granados

Great experience here. Bartender was super friendly and not over bearing. Drinks were happy hour but strong and the few snacks we ate hit the spot. I would recommend Toulouse to anyone that enjoys a good happy hour with good service

Subhrangshu Nandi

The cuisine is french creole. We have had better creole food elsewhere. We had jambalaya and it was ok, nothing great! The ambience was great! Service was very friendly and the food arrived super quick!

Fred Alvarado

Very rude waiter!!! Walked away before we could ask for anything. I wanted to order banquets and was told no I'll bring you some bread then never brought the bread till we reminded him he didn't bring bread. The whole time we ate our dinner he turned away before we could ask for ANYTHING!! Felt completely ignored by waiter!! Then when I paid he didn't bring change another waiter brought it. Never asked if everything was ok!! I REALLY FELT BAD!! By the way the food was excellent!! But service could use some training on how to treat people!!

Hannah Barr

I went here for brunch with friends and really enjoyed it. I don’t think you can make reservations on the weekends (or maybe ever) but the wait wasn’t long. The restaurant is really cute and at night they light up a ton of candles on the wall. Really lovely. The food was amazing.

Teresa Chiu

A relaxing and fun brunch spot! Came here ona. Friday (M-F they offer happy hour on selected breakfast plates!) We ordered a duck confit butternut squash hash, the Cajun meatloaf and Acadiana scramble. Everything was super tasty. The three of us also shared a large French press coffee that tastes good and not acidic. Nice and prompt service. Highly recommend!

Nicole Vecere

Came here with a few friends from the south. Loved the Hurricane I got, thought the food was delicious, and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Excited to come here again.

Winston C

Amazing people, food and culture. My girlfriend and I had a semi decent experience here the first time but after I called their manager on a Tuesday about the experience, he turned around and sent us a gift certificate to ensure we give them a second chance. We did! And it was like that scene in Ratatouille where the food critic drops his writing pen after tasting the food. Amazing in all aspects! Thanks Toulouse!

Long Nguyen

Very nice restaurant in general! There are many group tables here so the noise will be a bit too much for some of you. Beautiful lights on the wall. My waiter messed up our orders but made up for it TWICE, so he still got his 20%+ tip. And we left the restaurant happy. The oysters, fresh and baked, are delightful. The prawn with grit is amazing. Fantastic banana cream pie dessert. Would go back!

Sam Behrens

Booked a reservation and when I arrived the table was not ready. I was put into the bar section instead where the service was poor. Found a hair in my crab but had a hard time tracking down my server. The food was good but service was pretty poor. They did como some of my meal. I have been here a couple of years ago and it was great but would not return based off of recent experience. Perhaps just an off night.

David Levy

Flourless chocolate cake is amazing. Stefan the bartender is one of the best. Their coffee is delicious delivered in a mini French press. Drinks are outstanding

Jim Boggess

The best food I have eaten in Seattle. They have amazing food and the atmosphere is great too.

Brandon Lucero

Food was great. Luckily was able to get a seat right away and get a drink within a few minutes of sitting. Would definitely recomend as either a quick drink and app spot, or a special dinner night occasion. My waitress up charged my drink 6 $ and had to fix the mistake, only reason for a 4 star review compared to a 5.

Kelsey Poeggel

We came here for our 9th anniversary. We were told around a 25 minute wait time, which was great. But, It ended up being an hour at least. We were able to order a drink in the bar and stand at a small table while we waited, so that was nice. The person who seated us wasn't very friendly. Our waitress wasn't very friendly either. Our food took probably an hour to come out. The waitress didn't check back much at all. Our food was fantastic though! My husband had the jambalaya- it was great! I had the Cheeseburger- which was phenomenal! Definitely in my top 3 burgers! So, the food and the ambiance were the saving graces here..... because the customer service was very much lacking. Very disappointed in that aspect, especially since we came for our anniversary, but the food is probably worth coming back for!

T B

Yummy Restaurant with unique, well prepared dishes. Friendly, helpful service. Tea(Taya) is so welcoming. The hosts ensured I was seated as soon as possible. Bonus: I got a great seat by the windows! I ordered the BBQ Shrimp which is normally served with grits, but I had it with mashed potatoes and it was delicious. The Blood Orange Dry Soda was just right as well. Enjoyed my experience and definitely recommend giving this place a try. Plan ahead as they usually have a wait. Street parking is tight, but it's very walkable and buses are just across the street.

Montgomery Standefer

We got a french press to share with the table, and it was super yummy. It came with little sugar cubes (white and brown sugar) to put in your coffee which was super cute. We all ordered our own meals, and got the Dutch baby to share. I'm not the biggest fan of sweet breakfast foods, but I had never tried a Dutch baby before and was curious about it.The eggs benedict I ordered were amazing. I listed a picture below- they were also plated beautifully. My friend got the quiche and said it was really yummy.

Sam Tucker

The atmosphere of this place is great with the paned windows and tea lights all over the restaurant. I would say you need to be prepared to ponder the menu for a bit as there are quite a few choices (maybe too many) and directions to go. It's great to have a source of southern comfort this far north, and my meal was tasty! I had the blackened rockfish, and it was flavorful but arguably had some kind of processed cheese in the grits and was very heavy on cubes of bacon--not unlike the South however!! I'm usually wary of such long menus, but they do have some local proteins which reassure me that the menu is not entirely frozen.

Arthur Carre

Main dish was good. Very tasty and just spicy enough. Cheese plate was amazing. Desert was literally a sugar soup, really disappointing. What really killed the place was the service. The waitress left our table in the middle of ordering at least twice, kept making reference that she couldn't deal with us, etc. She didn't know what was on her own menu and repeatedly had to search the menu to understand what we were ordering. Bottom line, I would not recommend.

Phyllis Moore-Shelby

Dark inside, but food was great!

Tony Nienaber

Everything was so good. Really worth the visit.

Taylor Dunn

Absolutely worth the hype for breakfast. Get there right at opening hours to avoid the wait. The French toast absolutely can't be beat. Biscuits and gravy are also delicious. You really can't order wrong.

Christian Johansson

Wonderful food. Had the grilled rockfish with grits. Nice service and beautiful decor. Loved the door and entrance among other things. Really cool music choice.

Alaina Wilson

We first ate here in May 2016 for breakfast. The wait time was minimal and the food made us feel like we were right at home in Louisiana. We returned this May 2019 for breakfast again while in town and sure enough the food was still delicious and perfectly seasoned. If your looking for something close to a taste of New Orleans Toulouse is the place to go. I recommend the Acadiana eggs Benedict or omelet but everything we’ve had has been good.

Garth Reese

Lively atmosphere with a large menu with something for all tastes. Efficient staff, kitchen was spot on for all of our orders. Large portions and though not on the cheap end well worth the price for what is received

Jhon Williams

The food, the drink and the service are tops. The atmosphere is icing on the cake!

John Packer

The Hostess and wait staff were attentive and very pleasant. The food is delicious and unique. The resturant decor was amazing with intricate nuances that catch your eye throughout your dining experience.

Roy Calvo

Love ambiance, is like going back in time to another place. Food and service was good.

Nathan Schurman

Great apps, strong drinks, good atmosphere. A little loud if only because it's so popular. Get the fried brussel sprouts!

Trina Wilcox

Love the interior however it changed into a touch darkish. It is funny to peer people the use of their telephone's flash mild to certainly study the menu. Food became now not phenomenal but appropriate. Can't wait until the following time I can come returned. Definitely trying the dessert beignets and seafood scrambles.

Georgette M. DuBois

I was very excited to visit Toulous Petit during my year and a half of being here in Seattle. On weekends, there are usually lines out the door, going down the street, great breakfast maybe? The decor is pretty inside and out. I asked for a glass of champagne, yes the real thing, $15.00 a glass, but they were out of it. I ordered the baguette with butter (a french girl's best friend), and the cauliflower soup with crab, delicious! I also tried the oysters ($22.00 for 6), too small- 'almost couldn't find them' and had to use my dinner fork (cocktail/seafood fork didn't come with the oysters). The menu was heavy. I went with the bone-in ribeye, with mashed potatoes. The steak was set on top of the mashed potatoes, and the entire thing was covered with a deep colored red sauce. I couldn't tell if my potatoes had just sauce on it or the blood from the steak or both. (Perhaps srve them side by side?) My waitress was attentive, kind and polite.

T. Bolt

Excellent New Orleans style cuisine. Served in a cozy, dark wood, and old-school type environment. The food was excellent and the service was very good. The sign wasn’t easy to see. The restaurant is right on the corner of the block, so it’s easy to walk past.

Tyler Convery

Really well thought out menu for both food and cocktails. Always offer something new and innovative. Really great Cajun/creole food but honestly bring my mother who isn’t into that cuisine and she loves it too.

Kazmo Groove

Every once in a while, you die for Creole food if you ever been to New Orleans. So how about in Seattle? I was curious. I had bloody Mary and seafood gumbo. Oh my god, this was the best gumbo I ever had. Son of a gun. The seafood flavor is so rich. Seafood in general is so much better on the Pacific side than the Atlantic. If I ever go to Seattle again, I will definitely revisit here.

Felicia Morris

The food had nice flavor, but what I orders said unapologetically spicy, and was similar to miald salsa heat. Not spicy at all. It was hard to finde.

D0oGLe

Been here twice and it's been amazing both times. You can't go wrong with any of their breakfast items. Their Beignets are to die for as well. Every time I come down to Seattle I have to come here.

feven nigus

The food and the service was amazing ...if you're looking for quite place the is not for you...

Lance Tichenor

I liked my meal. Really like my dessert. My complaint: the ambient noise was too much. One in our group has the phone app with a sound meter. The meter recorded a minimum of 87 dB. The noise level increased when music was turned up. That made everyone in the building talk louder and for me to be heard I talked even louder. It was synergistic cacophony (above 100 dB.). Too loud for me. Boom!

Diana Lee

The food is so good here! Must try the fried green tomatoes with Dungeness crab. And the gumbo..YUM! We also had the shrimp Diablo, scallops, and mussels. Everything was so delicious!

Tiffany-Ashton Gatsby

I was very disappointed with my most recent visit to Toulouse Petit. It took about 25 min for anyone to even greet our table or get a drink order. No apology on the delay or the delay of the food. Also, received an incorrect item that wasn't what was ordered. We had some appetizers, share plates and dessert and it took three hours due to all of the delays. The food was fine, but the service was just horrible. And the kitchen looked pretty filthy.

Polly Hawthorne

IT WAS SO GOOD! My cousin, who is a chef, came to town, and we all went there. So many gluten free things. The menu had a large selection. I also loved my drink. I hope to go back soon, because I didn't have room for dessert.

Stephen King

I met my wife here many times in the early days of our relationship (about 10 years ago) and it's still as romantic as it ever was. The candles on the walls and the wrought iron are great touches.

Taylor Silagy

Great spot in Seattle. Good food and intimate setting. Will definitely go again.

Taylor Prothro

I don't have enough good things to say about Toulouse. It feels like you're stepping into the heart of New Orleans when you walk inside. The service was on point. The cocktails were very tasty and the bartenders were very accommodating making a specialty drink for me that wasn't on the menu. The food was off the charts, I got the Salmon, and my boyfriend got a steak. Both dishes were perfectly done, the sides were a perfect pairing, and the presentation was great. Cant wait to go back!

Terrence Polen

One of the best and most interesting restaurants in Seattle. A huge menu that includes French and Cajun options. Terrific cocktails and an outstanding dessert selection. Interior is decorated like a classic restaurant in the New Orleans French quarter. You will not be disappointed.

Megan Pham

I was excited to enjoy a drink and a meal here but the overall service and hospitality of the restaurant is beyond terrible. When we arrived at our booth, the seats had leftover food on them. It was dinner time, so I completely understood that it might be a while for us to order. When four waiters/ waitresses walked by without introducing themselves or offering us water, I was fairly confused. I made eye contact with a server and he rolled his eyes and walked over with some water. He put the water down and turned away quickly without taking our order. Two of the waters had LEFTOVER FOOD in them and were half full. At this point I wanted to talk to the manager and explain my frustrations and to figure out what was going on. I asked the hostess if I could speak to them, and just pulled our terrible server over again. I explained to him my disappointment in the restaurant and I only got shrugs, eye rolls, and a half hearted "sorry". He said to me "Mistakes happen, and if you want to hold your experience over us forever then I'm fine with that". I was completely baffled. We turned around to leave and he made a comment saying "byeee!" If this is the supposed "manager" what does this say about this restaurant? Please, do not go here if you are expecting fair service. The food could be amazing, but without great service, it can not be a successful restaurant.

Anna Carter

Yum!!! YES! Toulouse Petit brings all the best of New Orleans to Seattle. Great atmosphere and huge selection of everything Creole. If you're lucky, you may even get the daughter of the owner to be your sever. She is delightfully enthusiastic about sharing her memories of her dad creating the warm decor from the tiles to the unique table tops.

Ganga Reddy

It used be a great restuarnat once. The last two times I went there with my firends, the service was not great and food was definitely off. If you dont order alcohol , expect a different behaviour/service from the bartenders.

Kristin Cordz

Fancy but amazingly delicious happy hour.

Rita Balan

I had a horrible experience last night at this place due to the poor customer service and ugly attitudes from a couple of their female servers. It doesn’t hurt to be decent to your customers regardless of what kind of day you’re having. I brought someone there last night for their first time in hopes that they’d have a great experience but unfortunately it was opposite from that. The food wasn’t bad so compliments to the chef. As far as a couple of their servers though, they need an attitude check because this isn’t the first time they’ve rubbed me the wrong way. But this is the third time so now I’m leaving a review about it.

Jay Johnston

Good service and large Cajun menu. All our dishes were good.

shreelekha Revankar

We had a great dinner a Toulouse Petit, service was attentive and the food delicious, although at some moments too decadent, we wanted to come here for dinner on Thursday night but hadn’t made a reservation and we were told that we would have to wait 40 min, so we decided to come here Friday night for dinner with a reservation, so I highly recommend getting a reservation online even if it’s a few hours ahead of the time you except to dine. For our appetizers we went for the 5 cheese platter and the squash bruschetta, for our entrees we got the mushroom gnocchi , duck confit, jambalaya and the lamb burger, all were well portioned, much larger than we expected, all delicious . The gnocchi and burger were by far the best, the jambalaya good too. For my family, we were too full to finish our entrees entirely however the dessert menu looked amazing. I’d come back just to try it and try out a few of their cocktails as well. I’d say it’s definitely worth the visit!

George Moore

First of all, I’d like to state that we are / once were huge patrons of this restaurant. We have, for many years, visited and loved the service and food. However, this can sadly be said no more. We arrived for our reservation at 8.30 to be told that our table was not ready. This was no issue as we were more than happy to have a drink at the bar. However, it soon became apparent that a group of 8 at the bar was unfortunately encroaching on other diners experiences with many of our group being deliberated elbowed by people dining at the bar. This lasted for over 30 minutes. We therefore requested many times to be seated at our table, to be told the only alternative was to be stood at the Hostess stand or Alcove between door and restaurant. After numerous attempts to be seated, since the table before us were leisurely enjoying glasses of water and a settled bill, finally, after the circa. 7 attempts to try to get the server or hostess to nudge the leisurely table to move, they finally politely asked the table to move. Of course the party were more than happy to vacate, and so it leaves one to wonder why it took so long to arrive at this situation. It’s surprising it took more than 30 minutes after our arrival for first contact to be made, as the hostess clearly spoke to the waitresses who clearly ignored any needs or mean to facilitate the transition. This was only the start to the worst part of our meal. It only then took us a further 20-25 minutes to receive our drinks order, co-incidentally at the same time that appetisers started to arrive and the lack of bread. We ordered wine, but after 20 minutes found that it was unavailable. The entrees were mediocre at best. We then proceeded through 3 different waitress’s since nobody seemed to know who was responsible for our table. It’s worth noting that after this experience, it then too more than 20 minutes to receive the cheque and settle the bill. All in all, I cannot express more un-satisfaction as to what this restaurant has become. It has soon turned from our favourite restaurant in Seattle to the worst, of which, we will never be returning. If you are a local, or a visitor to Seattle, and you like good service and good food, I would strongly recommend that you choose elsewhere. Unfortunately, one that was our favourite restaurant is no poor. Ps. It started downhill when duck liver pate was removed from the menu.

Kevin Kho

Hands down my absolute favorite restaurant in Seattle. If you love or feel a need for southern food with a cajun influence this is THE place to go to for that. The gumbo, jambalaya and beignets here are the best I've ever had outside of Louisiana. This place does not disappoint not one bit. Inside is very unique and is like something out of a movie. The breakfast here is also worth it as well.

Chris Walbrun

Before eating biscuits and gravy here I was a lost soul, meandering the world in search of something better. Now I have purpose. I live to once again find my way downtown in the morning to experience this breakfast.

Michael Adams

My friend and I went to try this out for the first time. It was great!!! We had the Jambalaya and except for the sage on top, it was outstanding!!!! The staff is outstanding and very much on top of refills and checking on you, but not to the point of overdoing it. They hit that outstanding service easily. Place was absolutely packed, but seating was less than 5 minutes. Food was 15 minutes from order to serve. Wait staff was hustling at a really fast clip. Well dressed, outstanding service, and will definitely be back. If you love seafood, cajun style, this is definitely for you!! It is spicy, so not for the feint of heart.

Grace Abraldes

Delicious food, great atmosphere, but my food was supposed to have polenta and it did not bring it and I never got the coffee I ordered. I would definitely come back because the food is delicious.

valluri harish

A very elegant French restaurant. Food was excellent and really loved the ambiance. Desserts are a must try and the wine selection is never ending.

Gabriella Jones

Excellent Food, can't go wrong. I live in san Diego and have to stop and eat at this restaurant but I felr like having a sandwich and it was so tasty! Highly recommend

Dondré S

Was not a fan of this restaurant at all. We came in around 4 o'clock which meant we had a limited menu, which I completely understand. Our service wasn't that great but my biggest issue was the food. All the good I ordered was extremely salty. It's like they didn't season the food they just put a bunch of salt on it and sent it out.

Laura L Jordan

Great cajun food. Nice restaurant but hard to find. It has a small front. Service was professional

ICe Kofi

The atmosphere is really nice, very authentic vibe. Toulouse has great service, with a nice veriety of drinks and meals to choose from. The staff is really friend and ready to help with anything you need.

Docoda Nunnery

The food was decent but not at the price they charge.

Bill King

Really good food and street parking is usually available here believe it or not.

Wendy Costello

Amazing breakfast, ambiance and service. We had a table of 6 and everyone enjoyed their different dishes. Crab Benedict, Po Boys, French Toast etc. And my French onion soup was delicious.

Janelle B.

Great food great service. Highly Recommend for the breakfast happy hour!

Thomas Coleman

Loved this place.. had to come back twice during my visit to Seattle.. The service was great and the waitress we had was great on her recommendations and excellent service. I highly recommend checking this place out.. I know I will definitely will on my next visit!!

Meagan Stover

Absolutely devine. The atmosphere is very Mediterranean French, and the food is just amazing. You get quality and quantity for the price. I had the wild mushroom and gnocchi pasta with hazelnuts and squash. It was a simple yet perfect bland of flavors.

Aaron Treptow

People coming in to town to visit? Just visiting from up North or down South? Toulouse Petit is the spot to take your friends for their first time or go enjoy another round with your significant other! Every... Single... Thing on this menu is delectable! We've had prawns, jambalaya, steak, gnocchi, fish... you name it, we've probably had it! If you read something off the menu and it sounds good to you, order it. That's what I have done so far and haven't been disappointed yet!

This is one of my favorite restaurants for tapas-style food, especially for happy hour and dinner. However, today I was there for lunch and absolutely loved the braised pork cheek "Rueben" sandwich and the French onion soup. The pork was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful. The onion soup was not too heavy, but had a good richness to the broth. Highly recommended!!

Verrrrrrrrry salty, which I do like, but even to me it was a bit overwhelming. Maybe if we ordered sweeter dishes to balance it out, it’d be better, but our very fried and creamy dishes felt a bit awful afterwards. I enjoyed my experience, but maybe not to the extent that the reviews I’ve seen had led me to expect.

One of the best food in town. I never had anything that I didn't like here. For breakfast, pork cheek confit is great! French onion soup is super flavorful. Will come back again and many times after

Toulouse is simply amazing, we generally make our way here every time we’re visiting downtown Seattle. This masterpiece below is Dungeness crab benny, Creole inspired tender pork cheeks with apples and hash equals heaven on earth. The Brunch was divine! Great staff members to top it off. Thank you

Amazing restaurant! I wish I had taken more photos. The wait wasn't too bad when we went for breakfast, but the line can get very long so it's best to get there early! Everything on the menu sounds appealing even if it gets pricey quick, but it's so worth it. The food was great. Customer service was friendly. Calm atmosphere even with how full it was. Next time I want to go for dinner.

The burger and fries were fantastic. The burger was insanely juicy and the fries look dark, but taste like perfection! Bloody Mary was ok. Lots of floating bits of herbs and spices

Authentic creole that will surely tingle your taste buds with delight. The lunch menu is not short on superb options to choose from to fit any palette. Be sure to pair your meal with a lively libation to wash it down. I highly recommend. Now to my star review. In my heart, it is 5 stars. In my reality, due to the look of disdain that I received from the food runner when asked for some bread to soak up the lovely sauce of my dish; the look of bewilderment when asking for more water, and the surprise of an additional charge for a few pieces of bread. No problem with the charge just surprise as we southerns rarely sacrifice a great sauce. And the bread is the vessel to carry it.

What a treat! Ate there and really loved the food, the drinks, the service, the ambiance, well, EVERYTHING! Cannot recommend highly enough. Considering what was delivered, the price was absolutely reasonable.

Stopped here after our tourist rounds at The Space Needle. Food was fantastic, the restaurant was gorgeous. Beignets were not like what you get in NOLA. Very heavy and barely any powdered sugar, still ate them though.

The happy hour is A+. The menu is varied and the food available is good. Sometimes the food is HEAVILY salted so beware.

Ate in restaurant several months ago. Not recommended. Served a luke warn bowl of French onion soup. Complained. Manger says bowl was hot. BS. Left restaurant, had intended to have meal there. This place appears to be a booze house, not a top restaurant. Have eaten French Laundry, Per Se, Canlis, Georgian Room, Gary Danko, Le Crocodile, etc. Check Health Department review. --has temperature issues with food.

A little bit pricey but I only go on the breakfast happy hour. It is so great but certain dishes can be very heavy. The biscuits and gravy is killer and I would highly recommend picking a eggs benedict.

The inside is pretty amazing looking, especially in the dark. The service was odd, best I've got to describe it. Maybe trying for quirky but not as fun. The food was pretty good, portions good sized. I thought the drinks were short poured. Dinner for two with some wine was over a hundred before tip.

Beautiful ambience, great service, and awesome food and drinks! The menu has plethora of options even for late night weekdays. Must visit!

I've been here several times and fall in love with their brunch happy hour selections of food. Every dish that I have tried is excellent. The service has always been prompt despite many customers and orders. The ambiance is dimly lit, welcoming and the restroom has always been clean. Overall, this restaurant is a must visit place.

I was excited to visit Toulouse Petit just on the menu alone. There were a few disappointments in this location and service- the outside of the building is nondescript, inside they have a disco ball which doesn't got the decor and the floor tiling needs major upgrades. The food was excellent but the waitresses we had was wearing a tight suit which was not appropriate attire for the service industry and she was a bit pushy about getting our order. The last thing I am concerned about is they have two full trays of glasses filled with water. It's like they can't be bothered to pour a fresh glass for the customer. Aside from those complaints I would go eat there due to the food.

Good was amazing. Server was too busy making it with his SO to serve the table though.

Anthony Dicomo

Very good Cajun food & spurits. Excellent & friendly service.

Scott Henderson

The food was very good indeed! I had the bib salad - excellent - and the classic New York strip steak with mashed potatoes - also excellent. Not the least expensive dinner I've had but worthwhile.

Definitely a 4 star place... BUT I had one of the weirdest experiences I have EVER had at any restaurant here. Okay so first off, get a reservation. It was packed when we walked in & there was waiters & waitresses running around trying to serve & clean tables we almost had to tuck & roll out of the way to get to our table. That should have been our first clue. Anyways, our waitress came over immediately (she was very friendly) but she acted winded & extremely preoccupied. The menu is absolutely ginormous... it took us about 15 minutes just to read everything. Which is usually a red flag & not always super appealing to me. After we looked over the menu we put in our order for the fried green tomatoes appetizer. Before she even came back to take our order for our main entrees, the appetizer was on our table. I'm not kidding like 3 minutes had gone by. It was really tasty... But the dish as a whole was lukewarm, not piping hot as if it was cooked to order. While we were eating the appetizer we put in mains, the scallops with a side of their mashed potatoes for me & some kind of shrimp gumbo for my fiancé. (I'm telling you the menu is so big we can't even remember the exact name of the dish). My scallops were cooked well. The potatoes were a little dry & lacked seasoning. My fiancé said his shrimp dish was just okay. But again... Our food came out in 5 minutes!!! We didn't even get our drinks before our entrees were on the table. It was insane. I've never had an experience like this before. We barely even got to speak to each other before our entire meal was over and done with. And also again, the food was just warm. Not hot. It feels like they're SO busy here that they have most ingredients already cooked & ready to go & then they just assemble one of the 100 similar to each other meals they have on the menu. Our bill was on the table before we even had a chance to finish our one drink. You can tell they just want you in & out. It was not an enjoyable experience at all. I still think it's a 4 star place because the food was decent, our server was nice and the inside is beautiful. But in my 27 years of existence, I have never went out to a romantic dinner that was over & done with before I knew it. We actually felt cheated.

Ivy

The filet mignon was excellent. The halibut was a little dry but still very good. We also got cheese and the duck and pork terrine. The duck was my favorite!

Timothy Caminos

Was looking for something tasty late night and this place didn't disappoint. The decor is outstanding I absolutely loved the tables and chairs. I ended up ordering several of the starters, including the French onion soup (awesome) a salad and the duck. Everything is reasonably priced and the service was good.

Ryan

First time in Seattle. Some of the best food I've ever had. Service was top notch.

Roz Mays

The highlight of my meal was the banana cream pie. The chantilly creme was perfect. I also liked the thick crust on the sides. Absolutely worth it!

Kat Matheson

The restaurant is awesome! The atmosphere is calm to hear the music but loud through people’s conversations. The food is wonderful and a hint of spice can be tasted, and the service is kind and quick to help! Would come back again and again!

Kevin Merriman

Menu is tantalizing; it was difficult to pick something because it all sounds delicious. Seafood Gumbo was tasty... spicy but not too hot. Atmosphere is chill. I came for a late lunch and it wasn't crowded. The staff is attentive and friendly. These are all things I like.

Ali Bakir

I did not like the food. This doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. I'm not very familiar with French food. I'd still recommend it. Loved the decor

P N

Wonderful food, great service. Awesome interior. Not the cheapest in town, but ----! good food.

Fiona Parker

Best steak and eggs ever! That shallot veal sauce

Quentin Robinson

The food here is great! My girlfriend and I went here for brunch a few week back. The restaurant was quite crowded but we were able to get a seat relatively quickly. The menu can be overwhelming (like Cheesecake Factory style menu) but our server was SUPER nice and helped us figure out exactly what we wanted. The food came out pretty quickly and reminded me of NOLA. I would definitely recommend this place.

Kristina Savelesky

Servers were friendly and prompt The jambalaya is very tasty - just the right amount of spice. The menu is a bit of a novel (too much to choose from). We look forward to coming back and trying their breakfast.

Max Dyer

Great place. Perfect atmosphere for a great late happy hour

Take it from a New Orleans native. This is NOT creole cooking. Creole is flavorful but not overly spicy. The gumbo here was severely over spiced, to the point of being inedible. The etouffee was unfortunately no better on that score. Etouffee is more of a cajun dish but here it's hard to pick out the flavor from the raw heat in the dish. Sorry, but if you're looking for cajun or creole, look elsewhere. Because this isn't it.

Ievgeniia Zhovtobriukh

The food is decent there (nothing stellar, but quite good for a happy hour). The major disappointment is their service. We've been there with a party of 6, and they had really hard time keeping track of orders, bringing enough spoons etc. I am not sure if they tackle smaller groups better, but I wouldn't come there again with a big crew.

Alex DeLeon

I visited New Orleans a few years back, and unsurprisingly brought back the occasional intense craving for a Creole-style meal in a city where that's tough to find. Toulouse Petit scratches that itch, and I'm slowly but surely working my way through their entire menu. The food is expertly prepared, everything from their Cajun seafood, their soups, or more traditional entrees. If you're looking for a meal off the beaten Seattle path, you can't go wrong with a lunch or dinner stop here.

Peter Smalley

What does one say about the most perfect of Cajun restaurants west of New Orleans? Come early for their morning happy hour, and savor the Andouille-sausage biscuits and gravy with coffee before moving on to the beignets and a Hurricane. Highly recommend, especially as a date spot; the many candles lining the walls make for great ambience at night. It's not cheap eats, but the flavors and the experience are well worth it for special occasions.
