I like this place. I can't narrow down anything super fantastic but they do everything well. Good customer service. Food was good. The atmosphere I felt was calm and kinda retro. It was nice. Good job guys!

The Goose is Loose

I enjoy the fact that Totem is still a "hidden gem" in Everett. Easily the best (and biggest) breakfast food in Everett. It is still extremely affordable for the portion size. Typically Totem is only visited by Everett natives, which is my favorite part (as an Everett native). Please don't change. Please don't turn into one of these "neo- cafe's" which have popped up all over Everett and Seattle.

My husband and I enjoy coming in on the weekends. Just get here early as the place gets pretty busy. It's a small restaurant, maybe 20 booths. Coffee isn't bad, service is good, food comes out fast & there's a lot of it. The hashbrowns are my favorite, buttery, crisp and flavorful.

This is my go to for breakfast in Everett. Wait times are a little long during peak hours, but it's so worth it. No matter how complex or simple the dish is, it's done right. Consistency is oftentimes elusive in breakfast joints, so I'm thrilled to finally have a place I can rely on.

First off this restaurant was exactly what I was looking for. My mother in law had passed away and we were in town for the funeral. Before we left I wanted to take my father in law out to breakfast. But I wanted some place good and nearby. I did not want to eat at a chain. Totem was clean, and reasonably priced. The service was outstanding! The food was exactly as expected delicious. My favorite was the thick cut bacon. It wasn't over cooked and was perfectly the way I like it. This was a great experience to say the least.

The service/waitress was good. Ribeye steak was terrible so we requested it be replaced with a bacon cheeseburger. The pancakes were light and fluffy. Side order of potatoes was huge. All four of us had food to take home for the next day.

Great food and amazing menu. Their biscuits are huge and perfect. My first time there and I tried there bacon explosion. A quick summary would be that it was an andoi sausage wrapped in chopped bacon wrapped in slices of bacon that had been smoked. The dish came with two slices of that and that was plenty! A great locals establishment that I highly suggest you try.

You just have to go. I am not saying it is the greatest food! It is really good though. What it is is a classic diner. Pure old school comfort. The menu is HUGE. Bacon is GREAT. It is like stepping back in time in a good way.

Ordered the eggs Benedict. Ham is always a good breakfast meat, or Canadian bacon, however, the actual dish doesn't call for a super thick slice that overwhelms everything else. May seem like they are being generous, but there's no need mess with a good thing. I could have gotten passed that if not for the hard poached eggs, (no soft yolks) along with the hollandaise that tasted like straight butter. I really like hollandaise sauce, not butter sauce. Another overwhelming taste. The staff was gracious enough to take it off the bill sice I couldn't eat it, but a little positive customer service goes a long way. Instead he seemed a bit annoyed and no apology or anything close to one. I understand the business very well considering I am a chef by trade. Executive Chef to be exact, and all the positive reviews I've heard over the years from many, I would have tried again but not sure anymore. I wasn't even going to ask to take it off my bill, but my daughter jumped in and again, no smile or words of encouragement to return. Such a shame for a landmark restaurant such as the Totem.

Stopped in for bfast on a Friday AM. Was looking forward to something amazing based on the reviews but I wasn't blown away. I had the ham Benedict with hash, hash was SUPER greasy, absolutely no flavor. Benedict was just that. Greasy as expected but also no flavor, thank goodness they offer a bunch of salsas on the tables. I'll attach a picture for reference. Great, fast service. Clean environment.

I ordered the Bacon Explosion Scramble with hashbrowns and toast. The Scramble was delicious! The hashbrowns were gooey in the middle. I should've ordered the O'Brien potatoes. I won't make that mistake next time, and there WILL be a next time. Our service was great and I never found the bottom of my coffee cup.

Im a huge fan of Totem. You can go casual or for family celebrations. This year we went at 8 am Fathers day. The waffles and bacon were amazing as always. Great service the only small disappointing factor was the wait time of a hour for the table. But what do you expect on Fathers day? I've never had anything off the menu I didn't like. Great service and food for kids and adults alike. You know it's good when you drive 45 minutes somewhere to meet family for breakfast. Look forward to our next visit.

Totem is very, very near and dear to my heart. Huge keeping portions of comfort food served to you in a dining room looks like it came straight out of 1960s Americana, this is the breakfast I crave for whenever I'm traveling away from the Pacific Northwest. I dream of coming back home to a giant plate of those biscuits and gravy. Come for the funny sign; stay for the best breakfast spot in Everett.

A gem we didn't expect to find! We were in Marysville for a death in the family, my husband asked a pedestrian for a recommendation for a good place for breakfast, and was told it's worth driving to. We went and there was a wait of 30 minutes, which was fine as everyone and all reviews pointed to it being worth the wait. We were called for a table after 15 minutes and received prompt, friendly and exceptional service, we ordered and were not disappointed when the food arrived. All portions were large enough for several people and flavor was excellent! My coffee was refilled so often I never saw the bottom of the cup! When we went to pay and leave there was a problem with the check being closed out, and I waited at the table while my husband took our son outside. The lovely waitress came over and apologized for the wait and told us our meal was payed for by another patron. This wasn't just a great place to eat but also restored my faith in humanity as everyone was so considerate, kind and patient.

Yesterday was not only a calm peaceful day at the totem, but it was the day of looking for nothing. I didn't need to ask for my side sauce for my waffle fries because, Sonny brought it before I could even want to ask. The cinnamon rolls are huge and I am definitely going back just to have another cinnamon roll.

Nostalgic diner experience with good service and a nice clean atmosphere. The menu was surprisingly extensive! I will study online before visiting next time. They were very nice when I went as a mom with a toddler and older child. They needed food fast, and we needed to clean up and get out fast when it came down to it! The waitress did not rush us at all and was helpful in every way when the little one was crabby. The restaurant was packed and I was grateful to not have a scene. The tables are close together and not huge so I would have felt terrible if a toddler was upset next to someone... I can remember this place since I was a kid. My Totem Corned Beef Hash was a large serving with amazing flavor. My kids had breakfast and loved it. I will be back to try many items that caught my interest!

Came in at 3pm didn't know they close then. I had to hear servers fight about who was going to take us and then I was asked I guess your going to want creamer for my coffee. My boyfriend couldn't get in cause they locked the doors! Fire hazard! Never going back awful

The best bacon I ever had. Disappointing that they didn't have regular hash browns, but that's the only flaw I found! Their french toast is amazing and their syrup goes perfectly with it. Their service is fast and makes sure all your concerns are handled.
