You will see all the reviews of real people who are using the services of TaKorean - The Yards (Restaurant) in Washington.
Now the firm receives a score of 4.4 stars over 5 and the score was based on 311 reviews.
As you can see its rating is very positive, and it is based on a high number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the valuation is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to give their score when they are pleased, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to give scores when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant belongs to the category of Korean barbecue restaurant.
TaKorean was fantastic. I got 3 pork tacos, which was nice and juicy, and flavorful, mixed with their romaine slaw made some magnificent tacos!
I visited DC for the first time the other day and after driving three hours from Virginia Beach, we needed to get some lunch. I looked up local restaurants and TaKorean popped up. This intrigued my sister and I because we grew up with a Korean grandmother. We decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed! I got three bulgogi tacos and she got a kimchi slaw bowl. The tacos were some of the best tasting tacos I have ever eaten! The gochujang sauce gives it just the perfect amount of spice and flavor. If you have ever eaten kimchi, you know the difference between good kimchi and bad kimchi. My sister loved the kimchi slaw bowl! If we are ever back in town, this will definitely be our first stop!
Expedient service even during the lunch rush
Chipotle meets Korean in the best way possible. My favorite fast casual spot in DC. If you don't know what you want, get 3 tacos, one with each protein and recommended toppings.
Overall, great taco offerings. However, the guacamle is horrid, and surprisingly they provide no salt to overcome the incredibly bland (saltless, lemonless, limeless) "flavor".
Great food, love their flavors!
Good look
Always busy. I was scared the first time and didn't get any cabbage or lettuce related stuff. Big mistake. The meat is rather tasteless. But with the cabbage it all came together in a magical taco sunrise.
I ate the tofu mixture on the evening of September 1st and got really sick , I was so disappointed by the experience and won't go back.
No words. Great food and service!
Quick and good value
Not very impressed. Liked the idea but not the execution. Everything tasted like it was just bathed in soy sauce. No other flavors. Chicken, pork and steak just tasted like soy. Very salty and not even hot.
Chicken tasted too salty for my bowl and when I checked sodium it was 800mg! I wish they posted nutrition facts upfront. I was also sad that the server scraped the bottom of what was left, so it was probably not fresh. Kale and brown rice were a nice option compared to the even unhealthier options on the Navy Yard.
My favorite lunch spot. Fresh ingredients, outstanding customer service!
The food truck is better, but this isn't a bad alternative. It's basically a higher quality version of Chipotle with more dignified ingredients.
I love coming here for taco Tuesday's!
I love this place. The chicken bowl is excellent.
Excellent food. A terrific option for patrons who want a quick meal that doesn't skip on the quality. Nats fans would be wise to fill up here before game time. Will definitely be back soon.
Average food, everything is extra, really.
So good, and one of the healthier options in the area. I like to get the bowl with half kimchi half lettuce, and any of the meats on top, and extra cilantro. Tacos are great, too.
You absolutely cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. I suggest you get there early because the lines (during lunch time) can get ridiculously long.
Great food, great service equals GREAT TIME.
Terrific Korean fast casual served as tacos or rice bowls. Easy to order and tasty, too!
Phenomenal. Flawless. I love it.
Overpriced for the amount of food-$10 for just 3 small tacos. Lacking variety but definitely not salt. Their food was, in my opinion, really salty, especially the chicken.
Taco tuesdays is the neighborhoods best deal.
Great place for lunch. Amazing food and it's at a decent price.
These are the best tacos in the game. Period. A new reason to frequent Navy Yard for sure.
A little pricey and def not authentic, but it’s a good place to grab a quick bite. It’s basically Chipotle but with different meats and veggies. If you’re searching for authentic Korean food, look elsewhere, but if you want a different take on Korean food it just want a tasty meal, you can’t go wrong here.
Very tasty with good options.
Great food and.service.
Tasty, affordable, good customer service
Tried the tako bowls with brown rice and slaw. Very interesting combo of tacos and Korean food. The staff was friendly and polite. Plenty of seating inside and out.
Food is good, but pricey for fast food.
Get the half and half bowl with the veggies even if you are a carnivore. You won't be sorry. It's really good fast casual. Only complaint is that it's really loud in there, but that wouldn't keep me away.
Completely overpriced...but still good.
Bulgogi on top of spiced kale and Kimchi with gauc and salsa roja... amazing! !!! This place was definitely worth a try and employees were very nice.
Best value in the city, possibly: $2 taco Tuesdays for delicious, meaty tacos. The pork is juicy, the chicken is flavorful, and the steak is a beautiful bite. I recommend the lime crema and salsa.
Really bigly great great tacos
Tasty and quick but not evenly flavored. I got the steak, romaine slaw, and pickled daikon.
Love this place
I like this spot. The menu isnt too long, so you can easily decide on what to eat. I ordered a "Brown Rice Bowl", with Spiced kale, Tofu as the protein, and added a little Cilantro. It was delicious!! I forgot the sauce that I ordered ( on the side ) but if I had to describe it, I'd say it was a mixture of Sriracha and a sweet bbq sauce. It was a nice sized meal too. I will be back!!
Awesome staff here! The building is clean and the food smells delicious.
The food here is pretty good and it's quick to get in and out. What stands out though is the staff. I came in today and the two guys working were genuine and absolutely friendly, I don't know their names or I'd give them a shoutout. One does not find friendly staff too often in this area so it's a place I highly recommend.
Very clean and fresh taste. Love the Asian twist to tacos
Similar to the Union Market location, good option for fast casual in the area. Would love to see a bit more diversity of flavor in the menu, but no complaints. Friendly competent service who were happy to explain the nuances of the menu and items I wasn't immediately familiar with. Def worth a visit if you haven't tried it!
The food here is amazing! I'm vegan and I love the options. The service is friendly and attentive. If I had one near my house I would go every week. Love it!
I love this restaurant! They serve good dishes, their menu is nice, The chef in that spot is very experienced, I love a lot tasting all their food. The food is consistently fresh and tasty, the service towards the guests is helpful. I go often to this place and I not even once was unhappy. Highly recommended.
Great service, Great food. Just didnt feel neither korean or mexican, ambiance wise. Awesome fusion though...
It was my first time there. Food was amazing. I order tofu with spicy kale and rice.
i'm obsessed! love it cause it's always a healthy, spicy and satisfying meal. keep coming back cause the staff are super friendly and it's a block away from DOT. I'm all about the half and half bowl. Kale for life!!
Quick service, excellent quality and very tasty Korean food. Your meal is prepared to order as you walk along the counter. Very friendly and efficient serving staff. Has outdoor seating as well for nice-weather days. A very healthy and reasonable alternative to the normal fast food options.
Dropped in here in the evening for a quick bite. I ordered a bowl, chicken as protein, kale, lettuce, brown rice, fried onions, red sauce, sour cream, Sriracha. The food: Good tasting chicken, average kale, lettuce, usual sauces. Onions we're as expected, kind of hard to mess those up. Portions were pretty small considering the bowl I bought was $9 and the amount of food I got was about 2/3 what I can get at Chipotle for $7. The selection was actually pretty lacking too, not a whole lot to choose from. You will also be charged extra for things like pickled radishes, which seems odd. They did not even offer a taco shell or something to go with it. The staff: nice enough, but seemed really condescending for some reason. The atmosphere: nice and clean. Very hipster, as in, clashing art styles, impractical architecture, and Spotify songs literally nobody besides the artist has ever heard. Summary: If you like the hipster vibe of a place that probably came about from a liberal arts major's trip to Korea for a summer, and you don't mind paying extra for mediocre food that is comparable to leftover night, then this place is for you. Don't expect Korean and sure shooting don't expect tacos, otherwise this place will let you down hard. The worst part of it was leaving after spending $9 + tax and still being hungry.
Great place for Asian fusion. Only thing is the portions are too small!
Fresh ingredients, great food and staff. Beware of the weekday lunch crowd.
Korean fusion chipotle style. Not bad at all especially given the price.
The food is excellent and the Customer Service is outstanding. All the employees are knowledgeable and helpful in assisting with their menu. Try their Bowls you won't be disappointed.
Great twist on an American staple.
I really enjoy their rice bowls. I recommend the pork topped with salsa roja.
The bulgogi is over salted which is great on it's own but difficult to augment as their ingredients bar suggests.
Good brown rice bowl and great kimchi they are just so cheap with their protein! Three pieces of chicken and about 5 skinny slices of their beef.
Very unique food offerings. I enjoyed my dinner, and it was pretty cheap as well.
I am not a fan of the mixtures here and ended up over paying for a simple meal...
Delicious!
Delicious food enjoy their food clean place
I'm not a Slaw man, but the chicken and rice tacos were pretty good!
Steak is shredded beef. Tacos are stale.
Everything is very tasteful, try the 50-50 bowl
Delicious Korean-Taco fusion. Downside is that the portions are quite small for the $10+ price.
It's like Chipotle, but with kochujang instead of e-coli.
Friendly staff serving up delicious and fresh food options with local beer as well. Very well priced for the portion sizes. A must try for those in Navy Yard.
TaKorean is a great place to try some Mexican-Korean fusion. Their three tacos plate is filling. Choose the type of shell, then choose the meat, then choose the type of Korean slaw that accompanies it. Other choices include a range of sauces and other additions. Good idea to let the employees surprise you with the best combinations.
Decent food, very noisy during lunch rush, good spot to grab a bite in the area.
Great local spot! Quick, convenient and decent price. The cauliflower was really good!
It's something to eat if you can't figure out something you really want
TaKorean is delicious! I went for 2 days back to back. I got a bowl with white rice, tofu and cauliflower. The tofu is so flavorful (I gave some to my husband who swore he would never eat tofu, I didn't tell him what it was until he said how delicious it was). The cauliflower is very flavorful as well. Warming: the sour cream is lime flavored and a bit salty. I won't have the sour cream again. The staff is very friendly. Restaurant is clean. This place is a little pricey. A bowl is $11.
Quality korean inspired tacos, but if you've been to one korean taco place you've been to them all.
I had no idea what to expect from a Korean barbecue place, but it was actually really good!! I came in with a huge group and the employees handled it very well. They were nice and very helpful - even though they were obviously not prepared to serve that many people, they successfully handled it with a great attitude. I was traveling as a tourist but if I didn't live so far away, I would definitely go back all the time!
I admire this spot! They have first-cleass meals, their menu is varied, The chef in that spot is a real pro, I like a lot trying all their food. The dishes are always tasty, the attitude towards the visitors is friendly. I visit often this place and I not even once was unhappy. I recommend it with no hesitation.
Great food! Amazing service! Not a fan of corn tortillas but it was still delicious. Great choices for us no meat guests. My sis and brother-in-law did meat options and thought they were great. They offer kombucha!! Highly recommend. Will return.
Food didn't taste fresh at all, there were few choices and none were appealing, everything was slathered in thick helpings of barbecue sauce, and if you're vegetarian or vegan this is not the place for you.
Not that good. Brown rice was undercooked. Pork was bland. The slaw didn't offer much if anything besides bulk to the food. It's cheap though.
Great takos, even better service.
Taco Tuesday special is great and they have decent vegetarian options.Although the sauces could use some more flavor and zing. What they have now fall short of the real taco flavors.
The dude who helped me was super friendly and explained everything to me. The tacos were delicious and the sake is bomb.
Good food, fast.
You can get some pretty interesting food here. Staff are great.
This place is so good. Korean tacos what more could you ask for. We're from Raleigh and the first thing my 12 year old daughter wanted to do when we got to DC was hop on the metro and go to TaKorean. Did not disappoint.
Very nice place with great service
Outstanding food, great staff. One of the best spots near the Navy yard.
This is a great concept, very similar to Chipotle but with some different flavor options. I did find the food to be extremely salty, but it was also very yummy. Probably not a good place for people with nut allergies though.
Food truck come to brick and more location. Ultra fast service, even better food. Hit this place up nearly everytime I am at the Navy Yard
A good portion size with great choices. Loved the twist on Mexican and Korean!
Very friendly staff. Went on Tuesday and they had Taco Tuesday special. 3 Taco special. 1st time being there and they provided the recommended combination of tacos for me. Very quick service and it was very delicious.
What an amazing lunch. Spicy kale, kimchi, and Korean beef taco bowl is to die for.
I just visited this restaurant for the first time and must admit that the food is delicious. The service is great and they even opened my twisted top beverage. Lol. The store is very clean and the quality of customer interaction is superb. I recommend
I come here frequently and have always been helped by courteous staff, and enjoyed good food. This is a quick, affordable way to get your Korean food fix.
Super good fusion food.
Love ❤️
Was skeptical of the price, but the 3 for $9 was plentiful. Great flavors.
I'm was so used to going to Chipotle... I went here for the first time now i'm hooked no more Chipotle for me!!!
Interesting take on quick Korean-style rice bowl. Solidly good and a great place for a casual lunch. A bit pricey for what it is, but I do find myself going back often.
Have only eaten here once, but was very pleasantly and unexpectedly surprised. The food is fantastic! High quality, with made to order taco bowls like a Chipotle, only with very different foods. I went for a vegetarian/vegan takorean bowl and was amazed at how flavorful and delicious the food was! Look forward to going back very soon!
Very good
Amazing food and excellent customer service!!
So happy to see TaKorean expand to their first brick & mortar location! Food was delicious as always and the staff were very friendly.
Eaten here three times, got sick three times. I won't be back.
I lost 50 Lb's eating this for lunch everyday some winters ago. It's healthy, I crave it, I dream about it, and go out of my way to get it. Great staff and facility. I would be lying if I didn't admit to sometimes getting 2 sets of 3, saving the 2nd for the evening. Besides the food, there's a reason why the economist magazine covered TaKorean, and it should be noted. I don't usually hand out 5 stars for several reasons, but my key issue with food is consistency, and this place delivers.
Pricy for what it is. A fast casual Korean joint that has limited options.
Delicious! Two dollar tacos on Tuesdays. Don't sleep on the tofu or the brussel sprouts
Very good tacos and salads/bowels
The food was amazing... a better chipotle with Korean food.
Amazing Tacos.
Bomb tacos. Great service. Local beer and nice playlist in the background. I'd make it out to Navy Yards just to eat here.
This is a great spot to hit up before the baseball game. We went an hour before and there was hardly anyone there. The food right on point... Not too expensive either. They server alcohol as well. So if you want something quick and tasty before the game, this is it.
Delicious and fast. Fresh ingredients
Fun mashup of food, big size
Nothing bad to say. The food is fresh and tasty, the staff is very nice, and the layout is pretty cool. I had three of the chicken tacos with a different type of slaw on each and loved them all.
Fast service, good food and military discounts!!
Great place to grab some affordable vegan tacos.
Over priced and underwhelming
A Subway style Korean restaurant. While their specialty are tacos with Korean cuisine, the overwhelming choice send to be the bowl with rice and or slaw. Enjoyed lunch there very much.
TaKorean's signature delicious cuisine is irresistible! A must for any food lover!
Great food. Had catering from them and highly recommend it.
The first time I had TaKorean, I couldn't stop thinking about how delicious it is. The same has happened in all the times since.
Really great flavor. For the most food I would recommend a bowl.
Great quick meal spot. Simple set of options, hard to go wrong.
Good tacos. Preferred the non spicy slaw. Great place after a Nationals baseball game.
Great selection of tacos and bowls. Never disappointed!!!
Excellent, top tier. Great service and excellent lunch spot.
Awesome idea
Very good food. Order like Chipotle.
Pretty good Korean tacos. Great place to grab a bite before catching a nats game.
Lit!
Not bad. A little overpriced though.
So good. Super quick. Reasonable prices and family friendly.
A great, quick eatery that serves spicy slaws, delicious meats great toppings in either a bowl or a taco. Delicious! Pairs well with soda or your choice of small batch kambucha or specialty tea. You won't be disappointed!
Cool take on tacos and Korean BBQ. Good variety with pork, chicken, and veggie tacos, as well as Korean influenced toppings like Kimichi. Ordering is quick and service is good. They don't offer a ton of sides and secondary options, but with the taco variety you do not really need them. Unique place to try and will be pleased with at least one type of their tacos.
TaKorean is a very delicious and innovative place. I love the combination of health and flavor that the food brings, but hands down it is just damn right good!! There is something for everyone! The owner has done a wonderful job with the opening of his new brick and mortar locations.
My family and I went to get a late night snack, and we arrived 10 minutes before closing, but the staff did not rush us, and they were extremely nice and helpful. We were going to get one of their teas (highly recommend) and they opened the bottle to let us try it with out charging us! I loved the experience and atmosphere, and the food was amazing. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that likes to try something new, and likes Asian fusion food. Overall, 5/5 stars!
Super good. Bowls and tacos are top notch.
Quick convenient bite to eat if you crave Korean and/or Mexican
I love this place
Being half Korean it's nice having a spot where I can get some delicious comfort.
It's pretty good. Sometimes the tortillas are a little stale, but other than that no complaints. Definitely recommend going on Taco Tuesday for dollar off each taco.
Absolutely delicious food with friendly and fast service!
Maybe not my taste but I would not go back maybe I ordered the wrong dish.
The food is great.
Good tacos and intresting drinks. I like how you can customize your taco and the location.
Meh. Not the fusion concept for me. Might be some one else's cup of tea. Food seemed fine though
Two of my favorite things together at last!
I usually love these kinds of places and I was looking forward to trying this. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy what I had. I found the steak to be dry and had the consistency of sawdust. It also had some small amount of heat to it which I didn't care for (but the sign did say "spiced" so it wasn't unexpected). I had the romaine slaw with mine which was next to flavorless. So it was a pretty dry, bland meal. I think it could be improved by ensuring the slaw actually has dressing on it and removing the red pepper flakes from the bulgogi (heat should be optional in bulgogi IMO) and adding some sesame oil to moisten it up.
The food was delicious, the employees were kind and the service was quick.
I like there Vegetarian salad
Dam good. It's like Chipotle but Korean.
It's like Chipotle, but with Korean - Mexican fusion food. Not bad. Very busy around lunch time, but it's pretty efficient so the line moves steadily.
Taco Tuesday is a must here!
Food was good ..service was good..parking is not that great.
