I come here often because it's right below my building and convenient. They have hearty portion sizes and it's good. Maybe not the best but still very good. Much better than chipotle.

Newly opened Mexican joint in Mount Vernon Square. Ordered the Quesadilla, Fish Taco, Burrito and Chips and Queso, came to about $30. We were incredibly pleased with what we got, the ingredients were fresh and the food tasted fantastic. I see no reason to go to the Chipotle around the corner again as this is much better, the staff is nicer, and there’s an equal amount of food.

$2 taco Tuesday's (instead of $3.5). I recommend the pulled pork or chorizo. If you get a Burrito or bowl they will do 1/2 and 1/2 protein. A must try if you live or work around here

As far as fast casual Mexican, it's very good. Best I've had in DC and way, way, way better than District Taco. I'm from California, so have been hunting for authentic Mexican food. They're not perfect, with somewhat limited options and the carnitas aren't as good as the carne asada. But still - best I've had in DC.

Good food. Two dollars for tacos on Tuesday. Can't dress them up but very tasty for the price. They are small but you can get 4 and with tax get a tasty lunch for under ten dollars. Tough to beat for good food in DC

The fish tacos are the thing to get. Fresh fried and amazing. One if you are a light eater, two will fill up almost anyone.

Just discovered Sol Mexican Grill recently and I'm hooked. The tacos are full of meat and are delicious. The staff is friendly and polite. I usually do the fish tacos and chips and guac. Today I did the chicken and carnitas taco. Those were excellent too. You'll leave feeling full, but not heavy.

I AM VERY UPSET ON HOW THE MANAGER SPEAKS TO HIS EMPLOYEES! I went yesterday 01/21/2019 to eat in and while I was waiting the manager yelled really nasty to one of their employee. The employee was very educated about the situation since she just stood quite and listened. She even took my order with tears in her eyes. I am giving one star to this restaurant due to the way the employee was treated since I am against cruelty to employees. Ive known the employee for quite a while since she also works in a lunch truck where I buy food too. Maybe she does remember me, but I do since she is always very nice to clients. She even asked me polity to please have a seat while I am waiting for wife to arrive. I am very sorry for how the employee was treated.

Love the salad bowl! I get it with chicken, steak, romaine, corn, pico de gallo, and the spicy sauce (salsa roja). Yum! It's tempting to compare Sol to Chipotle, but I don't really care for Chipotle, and, ya know what, I've probably had Sol twice a week for the past few months.
