Always an excellent meal. The restaurant is very open and cozy, with a view straight into the kitchen. They also bake bread which you can purchase for takeout.

Tariq Mufti

Was there only for the bar, this evening, but don't let me take any thing away from the restaurant. An icon on it's own in Seattle. And the quick service at the bar was quite typical, I was told. Cheers!

Namrata Nayak

I recommend this place for people planning to tey out new things. The quantity wasn't enough although the quality of food is great. Ambiance is okay since the place is fairly small. Please do checkout the menu for the day before visiting. Overall average experience.

Federico Olmedo

Very relaxed restaurant in a comfortable location with a market-style shops (with butcher!)

Trina C.

Had their gnocchi and charcuterie board. Underwhelming, uninteresting and overpriced /: Cocktails included.

Ian Reandeau

Great food and drinks! Had an amazing dinner here

Ellie Gunderson

The food was great and there is an amazing wine selection. They focus on local foods and it is a very classy place. Some of the dishes get pretty pricey but the quality makes it worth it. It's a small place so it isn't too loud but it is a little hard to find since it is at the back of some other stores. I would definitely recommend it as a nice date restaurant.

Amy Curtis

Food was great in some respects, average in others. Dessert was amazingly underwhelming. Drinks and wine list very good. Our server was indifferent, good thing one of her colleagues picked up the slack for her. Music was annoying and didn't fit the vibe it seemed they were going for. All in all, didn't live up to the hype. Probably won't go back

Tim F

Excellent, high-quality food prepared with expert touch by professional staff. Location has limited seating but the high prices match the quality of the food. Recommended for sure!

Sean Aryana

Wasn't going in with any real expectation since a coworker suggested it for a team outing. Although everything was definitely good, I wasn't sure of half the things I was eating and think it was too sophisticated for my palate. A very interesting selection of dishes from group up liver (not my favorite) to cheeses and meats I had never had before. Some others got their drinks which looked very appealing and we had the table next to the stove so very cool to see them make it, put it on a plate and hand it right to us.

Matt Dixon

The staff was friendly and attentive. Drinks were excellent, and the atmosphere is great. I wasn’t a big fan of the pork dish I and others had, but will be back to try other items.

Chad Remmers

Nice ambiance and staff, but no vegetarian entrees.

B Gilbert

It delivered. Fit for foodies. Fresh. Open-air market decor is probably unlike any smart casual place you've done. Open kitchen for watching. If no reservation, get there early and sit at 18 seat bar, first come first serve, and order from entire menu!

Matthew VanderWende

Love atmosphere , great staff, food fresh and high quality , not a ton of taste but good and would recommend it

Colin McCarthy

I am still confused by how bad this was. Great reviews and awards online, but we got the tasting menu and the dishes were 1) sunflower sprouts served raw, 2) raw veggies with awful tuna spread, 3) halibut that was ok, 3) a cold pork foot that was sent back and they acknowledged they shouldn't have served, 4) and an ok mousse dessert. We emerged $200 poorer and sad we spent our last night in Seattle here. Despite the hype, go elsewhere - we gave this a couple of chances and were continually disappointed.

Garrett Nakamoto

One of my favorite spots to have a nice meal with perfect service, in a bustling yet beautiful and secluded atmosphere in Capitol Hill. The menu is varied yet not overwhelming, using quality ingredients and a nice drink selection. I love the Columbia City baguette with whipped butter and sea salt. Usually able to share a few of their locally foraged plates as servings are not large. I’ve had success walking in during the week, but Fridays and Saturdays can get busy for dinner so recommend setting up a reservation. Also lovely for weekend brunch, but again can quickly get busy so plan ahead.

Sade Weisheipl

Perfect.... just perfect. Don't listen to any of these other yahoo's..... perfect!

Review is for City Market, improperly placed under Sitka. O. O and Spruce. CITY MARKET What do you get when you combine an adept, witty checkout staff where each clerk can seamlessly handle two registers at once thereby all but eliminating any wait time with an equally adept deli/kitchen staff that genuinely cares about the quality of the food they are preparing, along with ample free parking? City Market of course. The deli is dope, spawning some of the best friend chicken in the city. The salads are top shelf: coleslaw, macaroni, and the à highpraise. The sandwiches are plump and satiating. Just go,...

Steve B

Monday night taco night was incredible. What a great deal. Margaritas were delicious although definitely on the small side. Would like to go back and try the full menu for sure.

Erik Blockhus

The atmosphere is nice and the place is quite quaint. We were seated when we arrived and everyone was very nice. The entire menu consists of 3 entrees, 3 appetizers and 7 side dishes. Very small with limited choices. The food had flavor combinations that do not pair well with one another. The quality was questionable with low quality cheeses, mushy Gnocchi and a small pork cut that was very fatty. Even the cocktails were sub-par. I provided the wait staff with a full gratuity for the overpriced and disappointing meal since they did their job well. Upon leaving I noticed the King Co Food Safety Rating that was posted was "Okay" which is defined by king Co. as: "the restaurant has had MANY red critical violations over the last four inspections." That figures. I learned my lesson and will not return.

Lukas Sosna

This place is an experience - thoughtful menu, great concept (sharing plates) hip location and delicious dishes ... I gave worst places 5 stars - so I it's a 5+... Try it you see yourself.

Mary Larrousse

Wow, I'm just in love with the lamb here.

John Currah

The atmosphere is nice, the servers are fine, and the drinks were great. However, the tapas wasn't well executed. I had tuna, pork belly, and a veggie mix, and it was all a bit underwhelming.

Max Frause

Fun atmosphere. Love the open kitchen and they do tasty simple food.

deneeb ruiz

Overpriced average food. $14 for two tiny slices of local cheese. $10 for a yogurt that taste like the cheapest on a supermarket and cold staff

matteo visentin

This is a great place in Capitol Hill, the ambiance is quite relax and cool. Food is of good quality and stylish but I personally don't always like the flavors combinations. This was consistent throughout the four times I have been here.

Kylie Scharf

beautiful space and great brunch menu

Behdad Esfahbod

Favorite.

katie hedrick

Food was great! I highly recommend the coffee cake.

Federico Bosisio

Very cozy ambient where to discover interesting food experiences driven by the curiosity of the owners. Service very careful and kind. Ingredients well selected. The space I limited so please book in advance. Prices ok.

Alexandr Moroz

I came to Sitka and Spruce for dinner with elevated expectations inspired by the frequently changing menu focusing on local ingredients. The atmosphere of the place was quite interesting – located inside a market, the restaurant floor is exposed to the noises, which adds to the character. I started with a bread and salad. The bread was simply fantastic. Salad was... a salad, although I liked the presentation. For the main course I ordered rabbit, which took about an hour to arrive and turned out to be dry and lacking in flavour. After discovering a large piece of plastic in the rabbit wrap I had to send the dish back to the kitchen. Disappointed, I haven't stayed for the desert that evening.

Marvin Jared Lemmon

If you have a large group, we had eight, then I recommend doing the $60 family feature. Great way to experience thier entire menu! Also, don't forget a reservation.

Tess Milligan

I've been to Sitka once for dinner and once for brunch and I would say my favorite experience was the latter. It's not your typical brunch fare, but delicious and heartfelt all the same. I never thought I would be swooning over homemade yogurt, but this place is Seattle dining at it's best. Not to mention the new Melrose Market looks straight out of a magazine.

Vrunda Tambe

An intimate setting with an open kitchen and great food with top quality ingredients. A good option for a special occassion dinner such as a birthday. The menu here changes daily and for me that's a good enough reason to visit again. The service is impeccable and they also have an extensive wine list.

Kelli Currie

Fantastic dinner: spring for the tasting menu.

Shane Trapp

Quite honestly the worst meal I have ever paid more than $10 for. The flavors were weird and didn't do it for me. We had a party of 10 and not one person said they would go back. They tried hard to be something just not sure what.

Tom O'Neill

Simple preparations of very high quality ingredients. Everything we tried was delicious: charcuterie, cheese plate, roasted asparagus, pork belly. Our only complaint was that several of the dishes came something like 15 minutes after the first set of dishes.

Bryan Griffin

We went for lunch on our anniversary, so we went "all out". It was fantastic, what a unique experience. Great service, the food was delicious, beautiful environment. Try the beet salad if it's still on the menu. This is local at it's best.

Turner Kerr

Holy smokes this is good. You know they have excellent service when they replace the silverware after every course. Chef’s choice and pairings do not disappoint. Ask for Megan!

Kristin Rimbach

A teeny tiny space turning out big flavor and unforgettable dishes. This is a must-visit on your trip to Seattle. The menu is hyper-seasonal and local and will leave you ready to come back the next day.

Jiaqi Wang

They’re *extremely* slow. We got seated around 8, picked the course menu (4 course) or what they call a surprise menu. By 9:30, we just finished the second course, and non of us expected it to take this long, Michelin star restaurants don’t even last this long. We were exhausted by then and called the server to skip the third course (meat) to get to dessert directly so we could go home. The food tasted good, and service was alright. But dining is about the full experience, and endless waiting kills it. If I had to go back, I’d stick with the a-la-carte menu and limit the number of items I order. Place is cute, seat is slightly uncomfortable especially if you sit there for more than 90 minutes.

doreen wood

Love this place! Put your faith in the chef’s choice when ordering the fixed price lunch. Best food ever!

Not AnyMore

I don't like this place. It tries to hard to impress and it costs to much for what you get. I've eaten here three times. Every dish always had something in it I didn't like. I'm not picky and I can avoid stuff usually, but just enough with pickled things already!!!

Lucy Bower

Nice restaurant, good service, pretty decor and lovely open kitchen - the food was good but gnocchi were slightly undercooked.

terry TAERPHINGTONNE

This is a lovely contemporary small plate place with great wine and views. The views are nice, the decor tends toward the rustic but has the potential to be romantic in an everyday sort of way. The communal tables also invite a rollicking good time with a group.

Meg Smith

Phenomenal. Light, bright, airy. Unusual combinations, delicious execution. Delightful service.

Stefanie Wai

Loved it. We filled the communal table adjoining the chefs and relished the experience. Wonderful fresh food, prepared right next to us accompanied by delicious cocktails. Easily one of my favourites in Seattle. Friendly, not overdone service - thank you!

Tony Jacobson

It's a very cool, hipster type place. The food is prepared with love and attention to detail. It leans a little to the vegetarian side of the food spectrum, so I personally favor a bit more meat type dishes, having vegetables play a secondary supporting role. But if you like veg, then you'll love this place. However, I had a delicious spicy sausage last time I was there.

Rachel Caine

Cool location and good food.

Celeste Liberty

Our party of 4 had a lovely dinner at S&S on Saturday. The menu changes on the daily, but the emphasis seems to be on lovingly prepared, fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. We had a bunch of veggie starters, which we shared family-style, 2 bottles of Muscadet (their wine selection is pretty well rounded), and shared 2 entrees. Everything looked gorgeous and tasted superb. Great for date night. Would definitely go again!

Russell Christenson

Great food and great atmosphere. The bill will set you back if you're on a budget.

Matthew Gannon

Fancy, small plates... service was garbage so I'd say slightly overrated for the cost.

Joe Marrocco

One of my favorite US restaurants.

angie pham

i loved their roasted cabbage and carrots, and chicken consomme. it's inside melrose market, a cute building with a cafe, a tiny boutique and ice cream place. hard to find parking around this area, though.

Moore Performance

Great small plates! Excellent bourbon selection too! Staff is friendly and the restaurant manager (Richard) was so friendly and welcoming! Would definitely go back again and again! Such a cool space too

Michael G. Barash

I liked the atmosphere and the food was tasty. The service could be improved.

Zeke Koch

One of our favorite places in Seattle. If they have biscuits pease do yourself a favor. They’re like eating clouds. If you like a place that has fermented rhubarb in their pickle plate you’ll likely like it.

Kristin Dorey

Sitka and Spruce is in a beautifully charming old building. There are huge windows that let in a lot of natural light. The decor is both rustic and perfectly polished. The menu is small and curated in the best possible way. They also have incredible drinks and hot beverages.

Sheridah Lemmon

Food and venue were fantastic. Service was ok. Would definitely go back.

micah cower

Everything was on point. I highly recommend.

Ryan Luu

Would like to try again, very complex dishes and flavors. They were unfortunately out of two of the dishes we wanted to try but would definitely give it another go because of some of the other dishes I tried.

Rashmi Shantharam

Most favorite brunch place in Seattle. They have amazing food with interesting combination of flavors.

Kathryn Martini

Wined, whiskeyed, and dined like never before! After a technical error in our reservation that resulted in missing the recent Whisky Dinner at Sitka & Spruce, their stellar team invited us back to enjoy the same flight with their incredible bar manager, Andy. Andy provided us a citrusy reception cocktail to start and then a flight of Balvenie whiskeys that included 2 experimental versions new to the brand. In addition, we were pleased to try two unique and delightful wines (wine is my favorite) and a stunning 21 year whiskey at the end. The tasting dinner itself was also impressive, we particularly loved the 3 amuse bouches but every course was fabulous including a flaky and light black cod with elderberries and French salsa and a hearty walnut tarte with stone fruit. If you're looking for a place to celebrate, or just try some fantastic fare, Sitka & Spruce will delight and impress!

Dan Rader

Tasty bites and great wine

Peter Qian

Went for the tasting menu, four courses. The first 2 took 2 hours to come out. It was kind of ridiculous that you eat a few bites for two minutes, then wait for 40 mins until the next course. After two hours I had enough waiting and told them to cancel and just bring the desserts. It isn't that easy to do a tasting menu concept. This place is an example of what poor execution looks like.

Gintare Laniauskaite

Arrived here for Valentine's day lunch. The interior looked very creative, lovely design tuoches, and the chef in front of the entrance welcomig with live cooking. Service was on the down side, not passionate at all about food and lacking of honest actions. Salad was fresh and simple, clams entree tasted sad, broth was quite bland. We got like 5 clams and a huge amount of bread. Looked more a bread dish, which we didn't finish. Salmon and farro dish was the highlight of the lunch. Only thing, the combination was too salty for us. We didn't want to try a dessert. From this place I was expecting more than bread and charcuteries dishes, looked very promising.

Beth Failer

Cool urban setting with amazing food and service!

Nicolas Swaner

Sitka and Spruce is wonderful! I've been here for brunch and dinner. I'm never disappointed by the food. If you like a rustic atmosphere with amazing flavor, this is the spot. It is a bit pricey but that's what happens with quality and time. I love watching The chefs cook. Sitting next to the kitchen is a blast and so entertaining. They really do work hard. Since they rotate their menu it's hard to recommend a specific. All their duck entrees are perfect. If all else fails, go with the duck.

Daniel McCarthy

Mediocre food, expensive considering the quality.

Cori Garrod

We stumbled across this gem while on the way to another restaurant. What a great diversion! The atmosphere, staff, food & drinks were all fabulous. We enjoyed a great meal during happy hour. The charcuterie is the star of the show. It was hands down the best I've had anywhere. All around fantastic!

Sabrina Chang

Went to the restaurant with 12 other friends to celebrate one of the girls birthday. We brought our own cake in because it was a surprised dinner. The waiter was nice and offered us to put the cake in the fridge. When we got our bill, we were very surprised about the " $5 per person cakeage fee,” which brings the total of additional $60 for “cutting a cake.” I understand places charge cakeage but it doesn’t not make sense to me the cakeage fee is higher than the actual cake. If they told me its $5 per person then we would’ve just have the cake at home which is 5 mins walk from the restaurant. We asked one of the waitresses regarding the bill. She was was rude and unfriendly. she told me that the restaurant serve dessert and this is just how they charge people. There are no indication on the website or the menu stating about cakeage fee. The waiter who offered us to put the cake in the fridge also did not mention a single word about it. Oh, did I mentioned that I also brought the paper plates, forks, plastic knife, candles and lighter with me for the cake? I specifically told the waiter to let the birthday girl do the first cut but after we sang the birthday song; they just took the cake back to the kitchen without giving us the chance to cut the cake!!!! What a scam…. Very unpleasant experience and will not recommend people to come to this place if you want to celebrate a good time with friends or family.

H Yuki

You can spend wonderful time here. You’ll fell like you are in some market. Nice food, nice wine and beer. You can walk from the pike market area.

Jennifer Nguyen

The definition of Pacific Northwest dining and cuisine. A great spot for cozy date night or a nice and bright brunch. The menu is seasonal and always evolving. A fave spot in Seattle!

Stephen Malek

Great meal and great service. Love the ever. Changing menu.

Kevin Chung

Loved the ambiance and the food! Really great cuisine I don't find very often!

Tyler Burnett

Great date night spot. Small and intimate setting with great food.

Ada Fuglset

Excellent food beautifully presented.

Mark Kostick

Love this place. The food and service is always top notch!

Christopher Dempewolf

Obscenely delicious food, with various preparations of local and seasonal food this spot is worth a special occasion dinner. And the location in the market is always fun to do.

Mike McKernan

Lost a star in my review on account of the overly precious and self-absorbed atmosphere of the dining room. Also, I don't like paying for a bread course unless it's something really spectacular. The roasted cauliflower was excellent. Sitka and Spruce is a lovely choice for the germ phobic as everything is utterly spotless, including their walk in which can be viewed through a window.

Matthew Bigby

I come here because of the high quality produce and ingredients used in their dishes. Always simple preparations. This restaurant lets the quality of the ingredients shine without fussy preparations.

Michael Freeman

Really great place for lunch and dinner in a gorgeous space with a few other shops. Sit at the table with the chefs to watch your meal get cooked and put together!

Chase Wilson

Good food, but not worth the price tag in my opinion.

Beverley Middleton

Loved the market feel, great drinks and amazing food.

Blake Schmidt

Awesome restaurant. We ordered the prix fix (can’t remember what they call it). Everything was very tasty. They even pushed somebody who is just ‘ok’ with raw tomatoes to eat a very tasty tomato salad. Highly recommend.

Beau Bender

Clean design and inventive dishes make this my go to brunch spot.

colin elliot

Wonderful, fresh, rustic yet refined Northwest restaurant. Fare matches the environment well. I ate pickled vegetables and fruit in a range of complementary brines, fresh pea salad with stretched mozarella running through it and delicious gnocchi. Beer selection is small but well curated. Plates are all share sized (for two). Could use some fans/AC when it's 80° outside.

Shaown Nandi

Great food and good wine by the glass

Mark Lugli

Delicious food and super cool decor. Live the fact that the restaurant is surrounded by small, marketplace-like stalls such as a butcher, Etc. Gives the place a really unique style.

Joe Drake

Nice place for a delicious meal. Check out the self service store in the same location.

Amy Hoover

This is a small, intimate farm to table restaurant in a popular area of Capitol Hill in Seattle. They offer what I would consider a limited menu, but the food is top quality with some interesting and unique dishes offered. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is several of the dishes used goat cheese or some version of it that was not called out and I have an immediate reaction / aversion to that taste, most restaurants call it out on the menu so it was not expected. The service was great, the brie on the appetizer cheese platter was excellent and they also have a nice selection of unique cocktails.

Yohan Lejosne

Everything was absolutely breathtaking from start to finish.

Dave Parsons

Had a great dinner here. Food was creative, but not too crazy. We ordered several small plates and only one was less than excellent. The pairings on the plates truly tasted great. Service was perfect.

Jacob Jaeggli

The tasting menu was worth every penny. Enjoyed both the food an the cocktails. For a special night out or catching up with old friends, this will make for a memorable experience.

Ami U

A normally special and wonderful experience put together by Chef Matt Dillon, my significant other and I had a traumatic experience at Sitka and Spruce in December. Cutting to the chase, our Coho Salmon that we were under the impression was cooked, ended up having a live, parasitic worm that was discovered half way through consumption of the fish. This parasite was later identified as Anasakis, a salmon fluke found in salmon of the PNW. Horrified, we immediately notified our waitress who reported the salmon was then removed from the menu. The terrible experience really comes from how we were then treated by Sitka and Spruce. Against all common sense, Sitka and Spruce failed to cover the cost of our meal. They did compensate the cost of the salmon and offered us dessert, however this falls short of what I believe is acceptable, especially from a restaurant of Sitka and Spruce's caliber, and particularly with the subsequent need for Albendazole, a medication >$4000 for treatment without insurance. The following day I contacted Sitka and Spruce, and several days later received a response saying, "...we're sorry your salmon was compromised... I certainly can refund the whole amount if you feel this would make it up to you..." which felt as though the burden was being placed on me, rather than their poor service and infected salmon. To be clear, the problem here is less so that there was a live, infectious parasitic worm swarming within my salmon, but more so the way my partner and I were treated by Sitka and Spruce and the lack of empathy, understanding and customer service.

Josh Thornton

One of my favorite Seattle restaurants, perfect for a pre show bite if you have tickets at the paramount.

Adrian Taylor

Good but I would hit up their other spot London Plane.

McKenzie Brickl

Was good, but not in our top 10 Seattle restaurants. We got the “friends and family” menu (prix fixe), had several courses (many, of you count amuse bouches), including chilled asparagus soup, a grain salad, poached salmon, duck breast, chicken pate, and more. Dessert was Eton mess, which was a bit of a disappointment after some adventurous courses. We didn’t do the drink pairings, opting for a few bottles of wine instead. I’d probably go again, but it’s not my first choice here.

Chris Gunderson

Typical San Francisco-style new-american cuisine. Feels self-important, is too expensive, and seems to throw random ingredients together to see what sticks. The atmosphere and staff are awful. No single dish stands out as either masterfully created for the discerning pallet, or as having a wide appeal. I wish I could rate this place lower.

Per Slh

In theory I like this place. I see where they are trying to go but I think they might of missed the mark. The issue I have is, I don’t pay good money to sit in the kitchen and feel the stress of the cook and I certainly don’t wish to smell like food. It is not my thing.

Lauren Whiddon

Really wonderful driving experience. Lovely atmosphere, the open kitchen is nice too. The servers were very knowledgeable and accommodating with dietary restrictions and vegetarian options

Approvedby Craig

Fantastic pre-theater dinner spot. great food, drinks and wine

Chris Janiszewski

Amazing local, fresh food, in a very cool setting. Friendly and helpful wait staff that make great suggestions.

John Carver

The real deal. great staff and food and building

Mamuka Grigolia

I love Seattle, this place is the one of the reasons that I am coming back again and again!

Shuting Shao

Cute little place.

Brian Downing

Open kitchen preparation and great use of local greens. Service both times has been just ok, but the food was good enough to hit 5 stars.

Cheryl Lim

Gorgeous farm-to-table dining space, large airy interior with an open kitchen. Chefs preparing food right next to you with no kitchen drama, really enjoyable to watch. Menu seems to be seasonal, so definitely watch out for new specials.

Steve Hind

Cool setting, nice flavors and an interesting menu. Lots to recommend and good value. Well worth a visit.

Laura Schletzbaum

They really do try and the food's not BAD, but it's not worth the $$$. Paid a similar price for a tasting menu at Staple & Fancy and THAT blew my mind. Probably won't be back.

Ian Rieger

Just popped in to get a quick cocktail. I wanted something a little different so I tried the coffee cocktail-delicious.

PC L

the nicest place to get a real cocktail in town

Rob Maddox

Food is awesome, service was excellent. Only problem was the place had a very cold breeze from the air conditioning making it extremely uncomfortable.

Stephen Reardon

Nice setting with delicious, fresh food.

Tatiana Avdjiev

Very interesting place - it was not easy to spot from outside because it looked like a store. Indeed, it shares the building with a store, a cafe, another store, and maybe something else, but it was all nice and inviting. The food was pretty good, the drinks were not bad, although not impressive.

Shuen-Ing Tschen

First of all: Making a reservation here does not get you a seat on time. I made a reservation for table of 4 at 7:45 pm on a weekday night. The restaurant even called back to check in see if we will make it so I expect we can sit down for dinner on time. I guess I was too naive. We were at 7:45pm. A staff greeted me, seems a little confused, but quickly told me the table will be ready in 5 min. I saw an empty table to be set up, and thought it will be a short 5 min. I was too naive. No staffs touch the table for a good 30 min- I even remind the staffs twice! When the table was finally set up for us, it was 30 min PAST RESERVATION. It was clearly an under staffed situation. The service was slow, took 10 min wait to order drinks, and 10 min wait to get our drinks. After an hour past our reservation time, we finally can ordered some dinner. The waiter and waitress seem very stressed, no conversations nor smile. Food was good, but the plates were throw onto our table with not much explanation. I can't stop wondering maybe because we are Asian....Other tables seem to get better treatment than us. Oh well, maybe I should appreciate that I have seats? Won't come back.

Mark Weissgerber

Took a long time, amazing food and service! Worth it for sure!

Ryan Kitchen

Excellent food and service. Strong, delicious cocktails. We sat for hours and shared wonderful small bites with dear friends on a special evening.

Kate Lowe

The dishes were delicious & unique but the service was very poor. We had the cauliflower dish, bread & butter (pictured), and the quiche with smoked salmon on top. LOVED the decor/setup!

Steve Hirjak

One of my favorite restaurants. They are the meats in house. They have excellent cocktails. The service has always been great with recommendations that have never steered me wrong. I can't say that about many other restaurants where they push certain items. The food is creative with a slight French feel for these distinctive Northwest offerings. An added bonus is that you can go next door for oysters at Taylor shellfish before your reservation. One of my top 10 Seattle area restaurants. Very well done. Never had anything bad here.

Julie Crudele

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle, and the menu changes a lot so I keep getting to try new things! I often bring out-of-town guests here. The coop warehouse it is housed in is super cool, the drinks are interesting, and the food is divine. It's best done family-style. Make sure you get some of their delicious bread with whipped, salted butter!

Yannis Koumantaros

Great open kitchen concept farm to table in Seattle. Part of conglomerate space with several spots, but this is the one to try. For sure pick the dealer's choice where the staff and chef pick your food and courses

kathryn conkling

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. The food is just amazing!

Allie Mahler

This open and airy restaurant has a lovely ambiance, although we found the food had more to be desired. The concept is a good one, but wished the food was a little better especially for the price.

Nichole Thomaselli

I came here after a fabulous experience at Homer last week (so good, I left wanting to go back immedistely!) So we thought wed try out Sitka & Spruce. Very mediocre experience. Service and atmosphere was fine, but the place just lacked energy and charm. We ordered the chefs choice 5 course experience. The dishes we were served seemed tired & uninspired. The flavor for each dish was surprisingly bland. The food presentation was weak. We were served a fish broth with scallions, salmon cream with radishes, oyster cream sauce with tomatoes, salmon in clam sauce, duck with a few mushrooms, berry parfait. The flavor was bland, fishy and not well thought out. The duck was best, but nothing special about it. I was so surprised because I really thought it would be better. I wonder who was working the kitchen & if that makes a difference in the experience? Regardless, we wont go back.

EddieB Moneyhat

Wasn't super impressed for how hyped it was. Food was solid but super pricey. We did the tasting menu and asked if it contained much fish because one of our party didn't eat seafood. We were assured substitutions could be made, but the first three dishes had fish. I get it, the quality is high and you don't want to adjust, but we wouldn't have ordered knowing that, even after we asked. Overall, definitely go if you're an adventurous eater, but for what you get and the price you pay, there are a lot better options in Seattle.

James Zarvos

Amazing food!

Mike Jewitt

Really nice place and the food was both unique and very good.

Tamar Richardson

Amazing food, love sitting at the same table the cooks work!

R Mangrobang

We love the creative use of local ingredients. The dishes are simple but flavors complex. I love the open kitchen format....keeps the chefs "honest." It looks a bit sexy as well. My wife loved the attentive, warm staff. We will return.

Ian Duckles

Given the reputation and the price I was extremely disappointed. While the chef is clearly a good cook, I found the dishes to be poorly conceived. We had a halibut and a gnocchi, and each was completely overwhelmed by one ingredient. In the case of the halibut there was too much turmeric and for the gnocchi it was Calabrian chile. Each of these ingredients completely overwhelmed everything else. In addition, neither ingredient was even mentioned on the menu.

Joseph Peters-Mathews

Five stars, for sure, but not somewhere I need to go back to any time soon. It felt a little over rated. The tasting menu was very good and there was nothing *wrong* with anything, but it was a little loud and a smidge overpriced for the quality of the dishes. Worth checking out to form your own opinion, though!

Maybe the best Oysters I've had...try the geoduck as well.

Janice Lam

Rich Hotes

Good food...limited menu

Various small dishes served tapas style that were amazingly yummy

Terone Laughlin

place is dope. had an amazing date night here. the only way it could be better is if there was a helicopter pad on the roof with front door pick up/drop off service.

Kevin Skobac

Great farm to table restaurant with a new menu made daily.

casey stratton

Had the squash with ricotta cheese, lamb ragu, and for the entrée, pork loin. It was perhaps the single most enjoyable dining experience I've had all year...also, the buttermilk lemon ice cream desert was amazing

A cute brunch and dinner place located in the Melrose market in Capitol Hill. The menu is made of food sourced locally and changes often based on what type of food they can get. You never know what’s going to be on the menu when you go. Everything is served family style so you have a chance to be able to try everything on the Menu. Some of the menu items are common staples: like charcuterie and yogurt, but they are often sure to change the menu for what they are able to get from their suppliers.

Love this place. It feels more San Francisco than it does Seattle...but in a very good way. The menu is northwestern yet adventurous with just the right amount of signature flavors. It makes you want to try everything on the menu. Loved that they had some fun nonalcoholic things to try. Will certainly be back!

I wish I could comment on the food but we were never able to eat there. They don't take reservations except for larger groups. I called ahead and they said they saved lots of tables for walk ups. Many empty tables and seats at the bar, but all were being held for someone else. Where they were, who knows. We can understand a wait for a table but these folks didn't seem to care if we dined with them or not. 1 star for attitude.

I wouldn't recommend the brunch menu. They have a very confusing setup - a completely different establishment has their sign hung up and the server meant to seat you is hidden away. They need a more explicit entrance with "please wait here to be seated sign". Poor service in general. The food and presentation is decent, but I wouldn't get the pork belly again. You need to ask your server for a code to enter the bathroom

We sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice and helpful. The food was very good, but I thought the dessert could be improved upon. The cocktails at the bar were great. I liked the carrot salad and it was surprisingly rich. The cheese plate came with a surprisingly large amount of crackers. Overall a very good meal and a nice experience at the bar when we didn't have a reservation.

We had a fantastic evening dining at the chef's table. What a treat it was to watch the staff up practice their craft. Every dish was delicious and featured local ingredients that really highlighted the flavors of the Pacific Northwest. Our only regret is that we didn't have room to eat more.

Colt Fry

Very cool and interesting dishes. Extremely tasty. Friendly and quick service. Delicious drinks. Would love to dine here again.

Food is consistently tasty. However, the service needs to improve. Visited this week after a year, and the goal of the waitress seemed to be to get us out the door as soon as possible. My friend is a talker, so we lingered - the waitress made her displeasure known. Only one or two of the other tables were occupied at any time we were there, so it should not have been a problem. Hope they decide that food will NEVER make up for bad service. There are too many other restaurants people can patronize

Aram Ter-Minassian

Very good drinks and unique tasty food. Open atmosphere and beautiful setting among a number of other spots in a barn like space. Great service all around.

Ofer Lapid

A very cozy restaurant with tasty food and good vibe.

Victor Coulon

Excellent farm-to-table restaurant. The pathé was to die for...!

Sergei Akulich

Perfect spot for modern American food. Good selection of vegetarian

Murat Onen

Awesome place!

Good food, good cocktails, but much to be desired from the service. The server was at best brusque and apathetic, and basic table service technique also needed improvement. This is unfortunate because the food was very good, but the service does a poor job matching that and it detracts from the experience as a whole.

Place is beautiful, great atmosphere. I loved it. Menu is kind of confusing, and waitress don’t explain it to you. Bread, ñoquis, great. Glass of wine, not generous at all. Salmon as entree, was good. Desert. Ordered a dopio, got a ristretto... and cold. Almond financier... a disaster. Dry, heavy. Something that if the Chef would have tried it, he wouldn’t have served it. Hope that the staff doesn’t take it bad, just a critique to improve ;) Ohh, forgot music... jumped from Beatles to hip-hop, rap. Didn’t match with the place. Music is very important too.

Vik Narang

Great food. Nice vibe. And one of the best oysters I’ve ever had!

Nicola

Great atmosphere in this farm to table restaurant. The kitchen is complete open next to a big communal table. The menu includes a la carte and degustation. The food is quality with strong flavors. I find it a bit too ambitious at time in mixing flavors that don’t necessarily go together. I would prefer more focus on the basic ingredients. Still a good experience.

Awesome restaurant though getting a table can be fairly difficult. We actually visited on a Monday when the restaurant is run by one of the chefs as a taco restaurant. These are not your typical tacos though. Each was a lovingly crafted explosion of flavors. The best was the shredded pork, though all the meat.based ones were excellent. The cactus and fish ones were just ok. The drinks were also ohenominal including the line and beer michelado and the cucumber drink. Service was also very quick and friendly, even allowing us to take the last set of 3 seats while we waited for our party and they were full. The huge communal table is a bit odd, but less intrusive than it seems to start. Finding the location can be tricky too as it is tucked in the back of the market. Too bad the Mexican proved so popular they are moving out now.

Heather Hands

Bread is amazing. Great atmosphere. Love the small plates.
