First timer and the food is really good. Staff explain very well the concept. Ordered a rice bowl with purple and white rice. The pork is so good, and the veggies and sauce bring the whole bowl together.

Tony Deras

This restaurant is great. excellent atention. Miss Vee is amazing. I loved the rice bowl, good beer and good music. I recommend it 100%

James Ives

Big fan of SeoulSpice. Gotten takeout from them several times and always enjoy the food. I usually get the Fireball bowl with double meat and it’s excellent. I’ve also tried their Nutella brownie which was also pretty good, however a bit on the small side. Generally speaking you can’t go wrong with this place. I’ve even had several good experiences ordering through delivery services.

would LOVE the chance to take a moment and RAVE about SouelSpice!! I just arrived in DC at my hotel and was hungry. My friend looked up a few resturants in the area and he found SeoulSpice. After reviewing the menu, we decided to go and check this place out. NOW The location is AMAZING, CLEANLINESS is INSANE, STAFF OUT of this WORLD and Most Important FOOD IS JAW DROPPINGLY GOOD!!. I wanted to eat my bowl and not the food that was in it, but the bowl when I was done and my friend wanted to devour his box also. I went in around 6:00 PM and was helped by Francis who I must say is one of the kindest people you can meet. Even when he was not helping someone he was Smiling along with the other staff. He helped my friend and I understand the menu so we could better get an idea of what we wanted to order and allowed us to try the different meat. We decided on the Seoul Train Bowl and my friend got a Kimchi Kruch Korrito!! Now let me say, right beside this Hidden Jewel is another guy who offers a mexican type of bowl that doesn't compeate. SeoulSpice moved my soul and actually going to Busan and Souel Korea, it reminded me of a memory and also made a lasting one! I will be there today to get some food to take back home to Hampton, Virginia!!! I wish you was everywhere and I truly wish this company the best success. If the culture here is anything like the other locations, this resturant will be sure to success. TRULY and proud to say my entire government REGINALD JAMES NEELY II

Three forkfuls into a chicken salad bowl and I was throwing up into a napkin.

Martin Crevier

Fresh, full bold taste...excellent service, wow!!

Avril Mai Juin

The food was pretty good. They give a great portion for the price. I would reccomend a friend here.

Bon Lai

Hip fusion Korean fast food restaurant. Price is decent and good portion.

Aarti Bansal

My fiancee has the Fooda lunch app at his office with different rotating vendors each week. As I've looked at mouthwatering pics and read glowing reviews, I had him get me a veggie salad bowl with lettuce, tofu, kimichi, carrots, kale slaw, bean sprouts, cucumber, pickled radish topped off with creamy sriracha. It was delicious and bursting with flavor! It reminded me of a banh mi sandwich, but a salad bowl version. Very filling that put me in a delightful food coma afterwards. If I'm near NOMA, I would stop by the restaurant directly and get a bowl!

Jeremiah Baughman

High quality ingredients, fast, Chipotle style Korean fusion food. Delicious and a really good idea mixing this genre of restaurant with Korean inspired ingredients. Very nice portions as well. We'd definitely love to go back.

Scott Welch

Received food poisoning after ordering chicken at 5 pm on a weekday. Probably was sitting out since lunch time without the proper temperature control.

Vince Mareino

Fast casual meets Korean. The menu is limited, but the results are as tasty as the fanciest Korean restaurants I've been to. Friendliest cashier in DC, too!

James Grady

The food is consistently good and the dining area is always clean. The servers are always cheerful and greet you as you walk in the door (with a smile). I have loved this place ever since it opened.

S G Hughes

Food was okay and service was friendly.

Analis Amaro

Tasty Korean bowls.

Sara Knotts

I had the southwest bowl with spicy pork and the egg. Food was outstanding!

Megan McCarty

Very delicious fast-casual lunch spot, but the price is high ($9-12 w/o a drink) and the service is low. A girl in line in front of me had been waiting 10 minutes for tofu during the mid-week lunch rush and was given attitude when asking for an update.

KT Lacy

That's good stuff! Way too much for one sitting! But that's not a bad thing. Yum!

Samuel Blair

Everything about this restaurant is perfect. So many different flavors to combine. So good!

Olga Fleysh

I ordered on grub hub and they forgot the egg which is the one thing they advertise all over the place. Then they said the driver wasn’t picking up and couldn’t redeliver it. They refunded me the egg but I was disappointed that they couldn’t get my order right.

Ramsey Reid

Delivered the wrong order and denied that they made a mistake. Bad vibes!

Eric Schwinder

Food is always tasty here but the service is pretty lousy, even outside of the work lunch rush. Last time I was here, I had to argue to get the rice I wanted (order taker didn't ask, just marked white rice on my bowl, and the second staffer on the line refused to give me something different than what was marked!).

Francisco Bratsis

Delicious bowls with generous portions.

荆超

The rice bowl is very nice!

James Norberg

I love Korean BBQ and a lot of choices when I'm ordering a meal, and they have both! You go down the row Chipotle assembly line style and choose delicious options. I always get the Korrito (seaweed/rice wrapped burrito) and it never fails to impress.

Brian Scott

Yummy lunch, get the purple rice!

Sara Nagpal

i ordered it from postbates so idk about the customer service but the food itself was ok. i ordered the bowl. the size was good but it was mostly just rice. it was a good one time thing to try.

Anjan Shah

Loved this place. Great flavors. Great food. Lives up to its billing as Korean comfort food. After long day and lot of walking this really hit the spot. Ingredients were high quality. The staff is awesome. So friendly and they really went the extra mile for my nephews.

Antoine Covel

Loved their food just as much as their service

Luke Meyers

Nice location by the train station. Sizes of tacos were a bit wanting more. They did have a nice spice to them though. Not to crowded, seating is a mix of table and high barstool.

joshua fryer

In general I'm not a fan of Korean food, but I thought I'd give the place a try, and I'm glad I did. I got one of their suggested bowls (you have a Subway-like option of building whatever you want) and found it to be quite good. There was a good balance between rice, meat, and vegetables and probably the most important piece to me, sauce. I hate it when my food ends up being dry because a restaurant is stingy with its sauce, but I also dislike it when my food is bathing in sauce and it becomes the only thing I can taste. Maybe I got lucky this time, but they nailed the balance for me. Hopefully you have the same experience.

Noah Abraham

Horrible Customer Service. I was ordering my lunch and I didn't even ask for a hot sauce but the staff added a LOT of hot sauce on my plate. I informed the staff that I won't be able to eat it and ask for another plate. The staff then have me wait until she serve the four people behind me. Once she'd done with the customers behind me, while I was waiting patiently to get food, she just walked away. The worker on the register had to serve all the people in line and prepared the food for me. No wonder, this is the last day I will eat from this establishment. What a horrible attitude and customer service skill!

Greg Kourosh

It's like a Chipotle of Korean food.

Spencer Melgren

Staff when I visited were some of the friendliest I’ve encountered in a long time—whoever manages this location, you have some great young people working here! Food was great, restaurant was clean. Had a great dinner.

R C

Food was delicious. Really different and close to a major hotel. Staff was friendly. I think it is a bit pricey but for something really good and different it is worth the trip. 30 seconds from the Florida exit of the Metro. Give it a try. I got the soul train with beef. Yum.

shahrzad grami

Love this spot! It's easy to eat gluten free and vegan without sacrificing taste. I love that it's quick & filling and the staff are always very friendly. Ever since trying the natural juices (no added sugar), I can't help but get the kale-apple one every time. This is my neighborhood favorite.

Daniel Grayson

A fine place for a quick lunch where you can get a mostly tasty and quite filling bowl of food for $10.

Andrew Coco

There are so many delicious options! Great price too

Eric Jaw

This place has fully satisfied my month-long kbbq-less craving. I just wished they brought this over to my workplace. Perfect spot for lunch!

Maddy Wong

People/servers were not real accommodating to "newbies". Frequent flyers got special attention which is ok except it made me feel less than welcome. Not even a smile....

Aaron Smith

I love this place. Staff is super friendly, prices are extremely fair, and the food is both unique and delicious!

Andrew Bobb

Alana, rori, and Francis were great. Very welcoming. Had me try samples of the protein for my first time here. Asked questions and made suggestions. OUT OF THE 30 FOOD JOINTS NEARBY THIS SOUTHWEST BOWL WITH BEEF PUTS EVEN CHICK FIL A TO SHAME. 100

Nick LeDonne

Best hidden secret in DC. I used to live in Noma and if I had this I would be here everyday. The bibimap is delicious. Do not be a stranger and try this place out.

Harvey Neuman

Okay. Big portions, sort of like Chipotle but Korean-ish. To me, not as good as Bonchon.

Lalalitta

Food was good and staff was very helpful and friendly

Andrew Pate

Cheap, good food. Similar concept to Chipotle, and similar price point, but good Korean flavor.

Ziyun Huang

It's no real bibimbap, but still tastes pretty ok

dan weingart

my ko-rrito was great. it was my first time trying soju. I'm a big fan now

Juan Pagan

Great portions for the price. Way better than bibibop

Mia Ives-Rublee

A very Americanized Bibimbop place. The Kimchee is not very good and the gochujang is not very good.

Emily Smith

Quick service and even allowed for customization of each taco. Tacos were delicious! I recommend the beef over the chicken. It was tastier and marinated well.

R Sands

Wonderful, delicious, fresh food! We are in LOVE with Seoul Spice! I can't say enough good things about this place! Our happy healthy adduction! Bibambap!

Emma Geiger

Not a big crowed when we were there but it was quick, easy and pretty good.

Gustav Lo

Delicious cuisine with a different edge and taste. Healthy option Definetaly worth it will be coming back soon.

George Fodor

Awesome and completely gluten free. I come back again and again.

RanGordon

Solid choice for Korean food. Quick service and tasty choices for all.

Donald Caison Jr

We had the rice bowls and the ingredients were fresh. The kimchi was very authentic. And the soju.. was memorable.

Johnny H-E

Interesting take on this 'Chipotle' style of restaurant. I liked the pork and the blue rice.

Annita Eleanor

If you like Korean food & Chipotle, then you'll love this place!

Jonathan Miller

My tacos were quite flavorful. Loved the variety of available options.

M

Will Stallworth

Another fast-casual place, but this time with Korean food. They do a great job recreating some of the authentic flavors, as well as have options for the less adventurous.

Jontia Chambers

The space is very clean and the staff always seem so ready to helpaand happy. Food is pretty good as well

Esther Lee

Wow, food here is absolutely amazing. It was pretty empty when I came in, so service was wonderful! The employees seem to enjoy a pretty casual working environment, so I have no doubts they'd be outstanding at any other time. I had a Korrito, which is basically a mega large Gimbap served somewhat like a burrito. Chipotle-style toppings made my meal exactly how I wanted it, and I enjoyed every single bite! I'll definitely make my way here again in the future. My only hindrance is the price, which was higher than I expected but it was entirely well worth it!

Zachary Jewison

A bit on the pricier side for a Chipotle-style restaurant. However, I believe Seoul Spice uses higher quality ingredients. The servers were friendly and the food was fresh and good.

Lisa Mueller

This place is fast, delicious and has a few spicy sauces. The bowl is a generous size and good price, about 9-11$

Daniel Shaffer

The food was great but the workers openly complained about how annoying it is to make the sushi burrito that I ordered???

Shilpa Kola

The only negative is that there are not more locations!! Sooooo good, please come to Nova!!!!!

Matthew Coleman

Pretty damn authentic bibimbap! Not too pricey either.

Johnny Teee

Very tasty

wvl1964 wvl1964

Bibimbop was great...very flavorful....I'm just accustomed to having mushrooms and spinach also in a piping hot stone bowl.

David

Highly fashionable interior great options five star customer service

Matthew Woolner

Awesome for lunch. Enough different combos of things to keep things interesting.

Timothy Cronin

Great food and very affordable. Nice place to catch a bite to eat before hopping on the Metro

Asher Silcox

Overpriced for so few rice and vegetable choices. Noisy and hot.

Chris Click

I've tried this place a few times in the past 3 years. On my first few visits this place would have gotten a 2 star rating. The food was just okay and the interaction with the staff was subpar (I felt like I was an irritation they had to deal with). I kept wanting to like this place (and have something different) so I would check back every so often. Lately it seems like the staff (new people) has been more consistent (and nicer) and developed a certain rhythm that has made the experience more enjoyable and the food seems to taste better. Hands down though, if I have to choose between this and bibibop, I'm going to bibibop.... but once in a while I'll keep giving seoul spice the opportunity to impress more.

Jess Stern

I could eat a bowl from this place everyday. First off the portions are huge. Second, they have this delicious and nutty purple rice that I get with tofu as my base. The kale slaw is delicious and I always have them give me a ton. Top it off with a lot of the creamy sriracha sauce and it's a wrap! And highly suggest you pay extra for that golden soft boiled egg. Those are addicting.

William Lamon

GF-friendly, delicious rice bowls, quick prep, plenty of seating. (No table service). Just outside Noma on the Red line. Exit the other end of the station (FL Ave.) to see the under-bridge light installation (art).

Eric Anderson

We came in about 5 PM and were the only people in line. The staff was very helpful and accommodating for the first time visitors. The food was fantastic will return.

Caleb Burbey

This place is great. They deliver on decent Korean food in a fast-casual setting, which is a dream come true for me. The purple rice is a great gimmick, and the spicy pork/beef bulgogi is fantastic. Keep up the good work!

Camille Tate

Food was pretty good and service was fast!

robert wilson

Love this place. First experience of Korean food

mramex

Really great food at a reasonable price. I had the fireball bowl and it was delicious. Wish we had one of these in Fort Lauderdale as I really enjoyed it.

Anna Elizabeth Reynoso

Super flavorful bowls.

MoyoWaSimba

Food was poorly seasoned and the ingredients in the bowl did not taste good together. I’m not sure if it was the workers fault or just how the food tastes in general but I will I not be returning. I should have asked for a refund, such a disappointment

Brandon Mickavicz

The bibimbap is amazing.

Tom Mason

Good place for beer & burrito lunch. It's always 5pm somewhere over the rainbow.

Tori W

Absolutely love this place. If I could eat here every day, I provably would. My husband and I just returned from living in Korea for a bit and the food here was pretty close to some of the food we liked to eat at the local Lotte Mart in Korea. Although it didn't have a huge spice taste like you often find in traditional food, it was a decent rendition and liked that it wasn't overly spicy. I also wasn't sure the kale salad would be any good in it, but was surprised to find it was pretty tasty.

Tony O

Love the food and the service.

Lisa Lu

The korrito I got was poorly made. It wasn't wrapped tight enough and as I ate it, everything fell apart. Unpleasant and frustrating to eat.

Maria Barrera

The service was good but I was not impressed with the food. I love Korean food but this was tastles.

Vuk

Worst customer support, girl name Mia is really unfriendly and unsupportive. Meal that I was suppose to pick up was pre ordered 20 minutes before and when I came I waited 20 extra more minutes for an bowl.

Adam Heichelbech

Great fresh food, super friendly staff. Definitely add the egg.

Seeman Donna

Great 100% Gluten Free food. Resonably priced. Very quick.

Andrew Hartnett

Don’t get the “korrito”, they’re poorly wrapped and completely fall apart right away. Also don’t ask for any customizations because the staff gets annoyed.

Lawrence Bland

Great food, service was a little slow, but worth the wait.

Lamont Walton

Good food, good staff, clean.

Mike Koritko

This place is absolutely phenomenal Korean food that deserves more than five stars. The entire menu is naturally gluten-free which is an added bonus. All sorts of amazing flavor combos.

Daniel Zhang

Good size bowl of food it will fill you up. The fireball got some heat too it. It will kick you in the mouth and start burning. P.s I order for pick up it was I walk in picked up the food quick and ez

Matt Johnson

It's not bibimbap, but good for quick stop

Rob Shanahan

My photo crew ate lunch here on a recent DC photoshoot trip...AMAZING good food and good for you. Be sure to get the apple and kale drink, made fresh daily, yuuuum!

Jenry Diaz

Food was delicious. The place was clean.

Cwiffa Burbis

I was spoiled by trying this before any of the other Korean build your own places. Way more options than bibibop and just much more/better flavours. I'm vegan so I've never tried the meats...but there are so many options for everyone. Love love love. Oh and the kimchi is not super spicy but delicious!

Wilhelmina Rochester

Great food

Josh Mylne

Great food, good serve, fresh veggies

Antonio Stewart

Love the food everything tastes fresh and great they have good sauces and the staff is very friendly....1 of my new favorite spots

Supreme Cephas

Apple and kale drink

that one pointless youtuber with chips

Great place to eat!

Cameron

Great tasting food. I had the Spicy Pork Korrito (Korean Burrito). It was delicious, but a little small. Don't expect it to curb your appetite if you're really hungry.

Joshua Wayne

good flavors, but inconsistent food and service; just ate unpleasant crunchy rice. sometimes staff is friendly, sometimes they act like they could care less. also a bit overpriced imo for what you get.

Jesse Lirtzman

Delicious Korean food in a bowl format which is 100% Gluten Free

Gabriel Shapiro

The growing popularity of sushi burritos meant it was only a matter of time till some savvy restaurateur created the korean equivalent. And thank god they did. Seoul Spice is a fantastic twist on the idea and combines all the premium ingredients of korean bbq in delicious burrito, bowl or taco. This place is perfect for grabbing a full meal of delicious soul food. And since it is right by the metro it makes it easy to swing by and grab a bite.

ashley cheeks

The customer service at this place is absolutely horrible! I work for DoorDash which is a delivery service who works directly with this restaurant. I came into this establishment and asked to use the restroom the very rude and not personable at all associate named Regina said I had to purchase an entree in order to use the restroom, I informed her that I was picking up an order. She proceeded to very rudely with base now in her voice you must purchase an entree to use the restroom. This kind of customer service is very unacceptable. Not only am I here to pick up a meal that was purchased from your restaurant I am a visibly pregnant woman 7 1/2 months to be exact I should be treated the same way whether I am purchasing for myself or someone else. Customer service is everything and it only takes one time for me to never consider a place again. I have previously eaten at this restaurant but I no longer will. Thanks a lot Regina!

Jimmy Paige

Not from the area and this place sounded good. It was literally just a Korean version of Qdoba! The spicy pork was delicious. Highly recommend! Boyfriend got tacos

Rahul Kohli

I've eaten here a few times with few complaints, the food has always been pretty good. My most recent trip, however, was bad. My food smelled like something went bad and tasted off. My friends also noticed the smell. I ate as much as I could which was a mistake. The rest of the day I had stomach pains and other symptoms of eating spoiled food. I won't be coming back.

Karen McLaughlin

Good food and friendly staff.

Cary Cagney

Great service, and the food (although not fully authentic) is also pretty great.

Grady Spoonamore

Interesting theme. Food was pretty good, but kind of pricey.

Jonathan Mawdsley

Like Chipotle but for Korean food. Sleek modern space serving up tasty Korean favorites with some interesting twists.

Steffany Mercedes

Okay not all that to me

2ndbase

Best Korean food I ever had, but ask for double the protein. Their one scoop of chicken is not enough for the price

jay lester

Excellent food. One of my new favorits If you guys ever want to branch out Seattle needs one.of these Hit me up

Gus R

The cashier there was amazing! The staff was friendly. 1st time there and we were impressed! Keep up the good Work! Food was delicious!

Tarek Elganainy

First time here. Ate the kimchi krunch. Delicious. Very kind and good fast service.

Fabian von Kleinsorgen

Good food, service is medium.

Ashley

I wouldnt call this fusion, more like reorganized korean food in a chipolte-like setting. The food was good, for some reason the lights werent all on and we were sitting in half darkness. The staff were a little confused with the menu and were overwhelmed quickly as the line grew.

jaime legaspi

Its ok overly priced

Eric Hoehn

Good food, but not my usual thing. Fresh and tasty but limited menu for me.

Richard Bruner

Very good food and lot of it I are here 5 out of 7 nights.

Tiara Burns

Fast, fresh, courteous, and so tasty! I’m gonna stop by on my next trip to DC.

Jessi White

Great concept, fun food! Staff/management still new with some forgiveable kinks to work out. Will definitely make a return trip to try more options!

Frances Ramos

Pretty nice location and outdoor seating arrangement was amazing. It has lovely view and servcies was fast and price was decent for the portions.

Kelli Davidson

I'm a regular customer at this location. I always come in here and get a bowl and a drink. I've never had any complaints about the food. I love the people that work there they are very friendly and we always have a great time when I come to Seoul spice. But tonight when I went in there. a new lady there immediately gave me bad vibes. As soon as I walk through the door she looked at me like I had five heads. Everyone else in the store spoke to me like they normally would and when I look at her she rolled her eyes. I had mentioned to one of the employees that if someone was to stare you in your face they should at least speak. The girls then proceeded to yell and scream profanities across the restaurant at me saying that I can get the hell out of her store. I then told her I am a paying customer. She then told me to get my s*** and get out. How rude is that. I spend my hard-earned money in this restaurant more than five nights a week because it is so close to my residence. I love the food and atmosphere the scenery the people in this restaurant. Why is it all of a sudden I'm being cursed and yelled at in front of a restaurant full of people. I then went to the bathroom use the bathroom came back out to the restaurant and sat at a table. the manager then proceeded to walk out to me and tell me to get out of her store again. she had already called the police on me and said that they were on the way.I asked her if all of this is necessary. She told me I was disrupting her store yelling and acting crazy. I then looked around and asked who is being crazy everyone in the store looked at the store manager. I'm not really understanding what I did so wrong to have the police called on me to be yelled and cursed at somewhere where I'm coming to spend my money. The police then arrived to Seoul spice to remove me from the store. She then rolled her neck head and eyes like she had done something spectacular...lol It was such an embarrassing experience. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. I just don't get why the police were involved number one number two the store manager was so rude and number three I didn't even get to take my food outside. I then left the store and was outside when one of the customers from the store told me that the store manager threatened me and said that if I ever came back in the store she would kick my ass. She also said.she would fight me when she gets off. This is just ridiculous. And im very shocked Seoul spice has people who act like this in their store....im very offended...im a mother of 2 and pregnant. What do i look like fighting someone who cant even speak when you walk into their store to spend your money....im baffled....oh and how am i supposed to bring my kids there to eat if im going to get my ass kicked...smh its a shame i know this cant be legal....

Jenilee Marques

Their service is off and on; nothing is guaranteed. On their best days, their food is really good especially their cilantro-lime ranch sauce.

John Ryan Robinson

Tacos were awesome!!

Heitham Ghariani

The bowl is much bigger than the sushi roll. Liked the veggie and glutten free option

Chris Morales

Rice bowl was great. Great place for a summer lunch or quick stop.

Glen Kellett

Fast food bibimbap style bowls, not overly authentic. Somewhat disappointing take on Korean cuisine, but you seem to get plenty of food for around $11. Just wish there was something...more!

Sharad Baranwal

Great food on a build it yourself concept. I always go for the tacos to try out different flavors. Love the soy marinated soft egg. Brings a whole new dimension to the flavor. DCMUSTHAVE.

Mason Brown

Great food unfortunately ruined by lack of sanitation. I got sick after eating here and would not eat at this location again, but I have never got sick at the college park location.

Felix Christian

Delicious build-your-own style Korean place. Their yuzu lemonade is fantastic

Frances Walker

Seriously awesome food. There were so many options for all food types. Gluten free, vegatarian, vegan, etc. I wish we had this chain in my home town.

Bill Lawler Jr

Chain. Decent food. No frills.

Richard Lamkin

Good food, great service

T Mong

First visit and very impressed with the selections available and the flavor!

Quincy Israel

Really tasty. Was expecting Korean-like poke from the description by others but it's a cool Korean-like Chipotle!! Lots of food for the price... definitely do double meat and choose a 2nd protein.

Jamine Stowe

Love this place. Food is delicious and fresh.

Justin Johnston

Great quick service, try the spicy pork bowl or the $10 bowl and a beer happy hour special.
