Solid lunch choice. Tasty and fresh. Nice sized portions, reasonable prices. Staff is friendly. Cramped location so take out is probably best on most days. Corn tacos are crispy and compliment pollo or rib meat well. Burritos are filling and flavorful. Rice bowl is a nice mix of meat and vegetables, big portion.

Placed and order and had it delivered. We didn’t receive the entire order. There also were no utensils or napkins in the bag, so how are we supposed to eat the taco bowls? The presentation is lacking. We tried calling the place, but the voicemail says they are closed today, March second, due to bad weather. (But today is March 10). Never again!

Great food, awful service. I’ve loved Rito Loco since the food truck used to frequent Tysons several years ago. The owner remembered the regulars and the burritos were literally the best I’ve ever had. Fast forward to today. The phone is never answered and when I arrive I’ve twice seen them closed despite it being normal business hours. Order for pickup and it takes 20-30 min for forward to be ready. The place looks dirty and there is often only one person working there with a line of a few people. The reality is the ingredients are still great, but they just don’t invest in customer experience. I’m not sure I’m coming back anymore.

Was looking for the perfect place in D.C. for a breakfast burrito that was something close to what I would get, back in my hometown of Denver. I was really sick and couldn't get out of bed, but found this place on UberEats. Let's just say it was perfect. I got the Breakfast Rito with Mojito Chicken. Loved the salsa verde.

Great food! Usual really nice staff but today the lady at the front was Not! When I walked in she did not greet me at all! Just looked up and continued what she was doing. She Never said give a second or anything I just assumed she was making an online order because she was looking down at a screen. She seems as tho she needed help. (Again it was my lunch hour) She made an online order that took 10+ minutes (i was on my lunch break) and I waited, then she started my meal but as soon as the delivery person walked in she stopped my meal to finish that delivery order. So I waited again. Next my meal was wrong because she was rushing so she snatched the bag and mad me a knew one. Of course she didn't apologize for the inconvenience! After I did receive my meal I stood by writing my review and watched two other ppl waited 10mins for her to even come back to the front. I would return but only for way better service because this place isn't cheap. $1 for sour cream and horrible service! No way!

It's not a burrito. It's a ground beef and pico de gallon wrap. No flavor. Doesn't deserve to call itself a burrito place. Was super gross. Save your money and go to the pizza place around the corner.

Well, since it's a new place there is a lot of hype. As a vegetarian, didn't have much choice (no protein option for vegetarians) and food was just okay. Prices slightly on the expensive side. The rooftop needs extra lighting. Won't go here again.

We had Rito Loco cater an all staff event (85 people) and everything was amazing! The catering manager was very responsive and easy to work with. I had no idea how to maximize our small budget for our group size and she offered excellent guidance. The delivery was on time and the setup was very quick. Our staff were so impressed with the food. Several mentioned this was the best catering we have ever had, and many asked if we could order from here again - which we plan on doing! I highly recommend Rito Loco for any catering needs!

Great burritos! Service is quick and friendly whether it's the truck or the storefront location. The mojito chicken is a generous serving of meat with salsa and cheese; not tons of rice and beans as is the case with so many other burritos! Shrimp and steak options are good as well.

Tasty, fast, satisfying, different. More CaliMex than straight Mexican, but that's not to put it down. Flavors are complex and run on the sweet side, from what I had. Tried the pulled pork and the jerk chicken. Both mighty good.

Rito Loco does not cook their food at their location they cook it at one location then transport it to their restaurant every morning on my way to work I see them restocking and their tacos are awful you have to be drunk to eat them and they hurt your tummy after eating them. Total waist of money wouldn’t eat there even if it was free. After reading some of the 5 star reviews I noticed none of them seem real because if you really have eaten at Rito Loco you know a tummy ache and runs are not far behind. Don’t bother making a complaint either it’s runed by one white guy who doesn’t seem to care much.

My wife and I wandering around DC for a good place to eat when we discovered this restaurant. I believe it was the owner who opened the for us and the cook was helpful, so good customer service. We both had the rice bowl which was fresh, hot, and very filling.

Just ordered via Uber Eats. I ordered $5 worth of add on sauces, sour cream & guac to be exact. No eating utensils in my bag. No napkins. And saddest of all, no sauces! And I explicitly put in the notes..."I'm new here, so please provide the most popular included sauces on the side. Also, I'm ordering guacamole and sour cream so provide an ample amount of each please." It literally said that in the order notes. Then what do I get? Nothing at all. Food was okay, would have been better with the sauces. Never again.

Rito Loco was a great find on my last trip to DC. Fresh flavorful ingredients in a nice tightly wrapped burrito that was then topped off by being pressed toasted (torta-esque) to perfection!

We hired the Rito Loco food truck to cater our casual wedding reception. We got the fajita bar with the corn (amazing) and mac 'n cheese balls as sides - everyone loved the food and did not stop raving about it. It was seriously delicious and everyone was a happy customer. I was nervous about them being about to quickly serve 150+ people, but they were a well-oiled machine and cranked out the food very efficiently. On the administrative side, the Catering Manager was a pleasure to work with and the owners who worked the truck at the event were super nice and on top of things. They even send you notifications to let you know when the truck is on its way.

I'm so disappointed with my recent visit to Rito Loco. My brother, his boyfriend, myself, and my girlfriend have been here several times. The food is delicious. I especially love The Rib pulled pork. Also, the atmosphere of the rooftop bar is amazing. There are delicious margs, heat lamps, and a DJ. Usually, we order food downstairs at Rito Loco and then walk up the stairs to the bar to get drinks. Then, someone from our party runs downstairs a few minutes later to get the to-go boxes and brings them up to everyone at the bar. The bartenders up on the roof will also take your order and get the food brought up to you. It's really a cool concept and very chill. Recently, my brother and his boyfriend have been ordering Rito Loco on their phones via Uber Eats for delivery. They have given them about 4 chances and every. single. time. they mess something up and the order is wrong. I was shocked when they told me they were giving up on Rito Loco because we all loved it so much. But, I also understood their frustration. Last night, my girlfriend and I went to see a movie at Atlantic Plumbing theatre. We stopped at Rito Loco beforehand. Every time I have gone to Rito Loco i have ordered a pulled pork quesadilla with the hot sauce. I don't think it's on the menu but it's just a quesadilla and they always make it. It's soooo good. Last night, I ordered my usual quesadilla and the cashier said, "we don't have that here." I said, "really? I always order it." He said, "oh really?, yeah sorry, I just wouldn't know how to ring something like that up." I was bummed but I ordered tacos with Yuca fries. But, they were out of Yuca. So we just kind of gave up and ordered whatever they had. We put in an order for stuff we weren't planning on getting and went up stairs. I went downstairs about 12 minutes later and they had clearly forgotten to make our food. There were only two people working....they were definitely short staffed. They were ringing up other customers in line and I just stood by waiting. Eventually, they made eye contact with me and they had this shocked look on their faces like, "ohh shoot, we forgot to make your food." They panicked for a minute and said "umm uhh, we'll just bring it up to you." Our food finally came up several minutes later. You would think a place that cares about their customers would figure out a way to deliver what you came for, or if they mess up make up for it with some mac & cheese balls and an apology or something. But, it was if they were totally lost....like it was their first time working in the customer service industry. I couldn't even get mad because it seemed like they didn't know what they didn't know. They didn't even bring up napkins with our food. We had to go to the bar several times to get cocktail napkins. In the meantime, my girlfriend went to the bathroom on the rooftop and said it was pretty dirty and rundown. They had palm olive for soap and the bathroom wasn't well kept. Other than poor customer service, poor attention to detail, and poor management...the place is good. The food is great and the rooftop atmosphere like I said is really chill. But, it was a bad enough experience that we decided to join my brother and his boyfriend and not go back.

While eating my meal from here noticed some of the ingredients didnt appear to be the freshest. I removed what looked bad. afterwards I got symptoms consistent with bad case of food poisoning that lasted several days. wont eat here again.

I've had the steak and chicken "ritas" from Loco. While the steak is a five star BOMB! the chicken is more bland and the prices are a little high. Still can't help stopping by once in a while for a quick, fresh meal.

The Veggie Rito here is amazing. It's actually all vegetables, which is just amazing compared to all of the rice and bean burritos vegetarians are normally subjected to. And the employees are lovely, even at 1am when all the patrons are drunk. Can't say enough nice things about this place.

Raine (the bartender) is great. I’m giving 3 stars because of her. She offered great service The bouncer or door-man (whoever?) was overly aggressive and offensive. He later apologized for his attitude, but it wasn’t enough. Intolerance is not tolerable. Assumptions are not ok. Discrimination is NEVER ok. Management needs to do better with their training. Great space. Great DJ’s. Great food! A few problematic, unwelcoming workers - enough to leave a bad taste in your mouth. Unless you look, act, dress, or “seem” a certain way, you may not be treated well here. Yikes... Smh. I know D.C. isn’t known for its customer service, but wow... super disappointing. My first night there will also be my last night there. I tipped well and did my best to enjoy myself (as I always do), but some things aren’t negotiable. Period.

Thèse tacos were absolutely delicious and so were the cocktails. Service was quick and thé ambiance on the second floor was relaxing. The decorations were beautiful and it was nice and toasty (despite it being winter). I tried chicken, brisket and shrimp tacos which were yummy! I will be back again.

I went on their taco Tuesday. Really good, particularly for the discounted price. Highly recommend the loco salsa if you can handle it. My friends' orders took longer than mine for some reason, but they gave them an extra taco each to compensate. Great place!

I've been eating Rito Loco's burrito's for over four years. Down right the healthiest burritos out the. I also worked at a commercial kitchen were the prep work was being done at the highest level of cleanliness. Fresh produce was being prepared daily at that facility. The owner's, Daniel & Louie are the friendliest people you'll ever meet. And their crew are friendly and knowledgeable. Great food, great people, great atmosphere. What more could you ask for in your dining experience.

Service and atmosphere are great but the food is disappointing. Had a fish taco and a chicken taco that came with chips and salsa verde. All bad. Fish tasted like it was cooked the day before and the chicken was entirely too moist. Go to hang out on the rooftop, but eat at home.
