Tasty food. Late night Monte Cristo is great. Good Service and open late.
The menu might look a bit limited at first, but the food was delicious. Absolutely delicious. Be prepared to indulge in a dessert cocktail. Perhaps a touch loud, but I guess that just means all the guests were enjoying themselves. The seating was not so great, the benches were kind of hard. The lighting was dim which gave the place a more intimate feeling, but the larger tables and the bench seating detracted from that. Enjoy. Super nice staff too.
Loved the view of the monorail and neon from this date-quality table last night. The infused Old Fashioned was exceptional, the Plin is always fantastic. My date enjoyed his pork but I was completely wowed by my Halibut! Unusually bold fish dish with pickled peppers providing a punch of color and flavor...I want it again right now. Service was above and beyond last night. She couldn't have been sweeter.
Good food, southern inspired with a twist. The chicken is fantastic. Cocktails are good too. A little pricey but go for happy hour and it'll be reasonable.
Nice place to have drink and dinner in downtown area. They have limited items in menu but all the items taste good. I tried giant turkey leg which came with slice of breads and tasty white sauce.
Great bartenders
Wonderful experience, great food and great service. It's super consistent.
Phenomenal food, great service, we loved the atmosphere. Can’t believe how effortlessly friendly everyone is here. We’ll definitely be back!
Good food but very expensive.
Accommodated a 7top at 11pm with a full kitchen and delicious, unique fair. Nothing looked as you might expect it to, everything was plated in an appealing and delicious way. Chicken and waffles were outstanding.
Palace kitchen was recommended to us while we were visiting and I'm so glad we went. We did several appetizers as our meal and it was amazing! You have to get the brussel sprouts, but everything was great. Go here!
I go here a lot when I visit Seattle because the food, service and ambience are always on point. Reliable and consistent experience and scene at palace kitchen.
Great spot for food, drinks and a nice atmosphere. I had the vegetarian nudi and I was blown away by the flavors.
Another overrated Tom Douglas venue. The Good: ambience is so very beautiful and the cocktails along with the bar staff are quite nice. That accounts for the stars. Bad: the food. I had different varieties on the menu and everything I ate was disappointing. Mostly the goat cheese fondue is a joke for the tastebuds and your pocketbook. The crostini is burnt btw. you have a few slices of fruit that you then dip in the warm cheese.... what a joke... spread goat cheese on fresh bread at home. Tastes much better. So - again, very underwhelming food experience for way too much money.
It’s an ok place. Too overrated to me and very expensive. Definitely, I won’t come again.
Went to Palace Kitchen for apps and dessert. The menu looks great. We tried the goat cheese and lavender fondue, fried oysters, cauliflower, and 2 desserts. The fondue was ok, as were the oysters. We really enjoyed the cauliflower, and the chocolate cake was awesome. While people rave about the coconut cream pie, it didn't live up to the hype for me. There was way too much whipped cream and not enough custard. For around $10 for one dessert, it leaves something to be desired! Service was good at first but inattentive toward the end of our meal.
Typical TD excellent food and service!
Bartender called me bro about 17 times. Had one beer
Great food and atmosphere.
I've never been disappointed here. Delicious food, great service, cool atmosphere.
Great tasting menu. Amazing seafood. Unique dishes. Best fing coconut cream pie ever. One of the best deserts I’ve ever tasted.
Food was delicious. Be prepared to be adventurous.
Great atmosphere great service (best I've ever had in Seattle!!) Food was good and very quick. Loved the recommendations the server made and appreciated the service was never too much or too little. Thank you for a great time- we will be back!!
This place is consistently wonderful. The food and the service are great.
Nice decor, classy looking restaurant. Service was a little slow. When I got the bill I saw why, they add a 20 percent gratuity on automatically. I was in the industry and I was motivated to work and got bigger tips with hard work waiting on my clients. Automatic gratuities IMO let the staff float through their work and if the customer isn't happy, oh well, they got paid. Don't see anything in their menu that would be so motivating to come back...
Creative cuisine at a moderate price. Some dishes are hit or miss. Great ambience.
A bit pricey but worth it. Very fresh and very delicious. If you like shellfish I highly recommend the muscles! I had the trout and it was marvelous, husband had a pork and polenta dish that was amazing too.
Love the Palace Kitchen! Eat there most trips to Seattle.
Best cooked steak ever and I eat it cold. The sides where also great (mash and greens). Service was great and very intuitive. Would go every time I'm in Seattle. And I went to Morton's the next week and it does not compare. I also ordered it to go and it was 30 mins before closing and they still cooked like it was the first one of the night. Thank You!
Great spot to go after Dimitroi's jazz alley. Open late which is Great!
Great food, fun atmosphere. Our waitress made fantastic recommendations for food and drink. Noteworthy the fondue appetizer was delectable and the peanut butter dessert was to die for. We really enjoyed our experience. A tip for out of town are, gratuity is included (the receipt is very direct about this, which appreciated.)
Palace Kitchen needs better menu selection, but the service was good, waiter was very attentive.
Great place to drink something, very good service.
Available until very late time. Everything tastes good.
Excellant food however when they say drinks off the bar at 2am don't order a good scotch at 1:30. While four of us were paying the bill and leaving the bartender a tip he grabbed our glasses before we could blink. 2 sips for $30.00. 2am means 2am. He didn't even say "hey drink up, gotta have those glases". He just took them. No bar etiquette. Bummer.
Awesome Food, I've been coming here for years, every time I'm in town. Anything cooked on the Applewood grill is a must have!
Came here pretty late one night looking for food. The NY strip steak they had was absolutely fantastic and was at a really good price.
A nice restaurant with a good atmosphere and enjoyable food. The prices are a little high but quality and service are good.
Delicious burger and fries. Started with some wonderfully prepared Brussels with bacon, almonds and peppers.
The rosemary lavender lemon drop is exquisite! Try the old fashioned too. Great bar very close to the Westin if you want a more interesting experience in Seattle than a hotel bar. Excellent!
I will never eat at a restaurant that charges tip/service automatically on the bill. Understood for large parties, but for 1 or 2 people, there is ZERO incentive for good service by doing this.
Excellent food great 10 pm special on the menu, will most definitely eat there again.
Excellent vibe with late night bites til 1am. Awesome horseshoe bar with great cocktails. Specials are wings, Plin ravioli, goat cheese fondue, whole trout, dry aged NY strip and Palace burger.
Came here to meet up with some friends and we had a great time. Staff is nice and the atmosphere is great for a group setting, just like we had.
We needed a place to eat dinner after a day of traveling where we could take kids without reservations! We are glad we found Palace Kitchen! Everyone was so kind and accommodating! We tried many dishes and all were delicious! The kids ate ravioli and the green beans! I loved them too! Then we had Tomato Salads, Corn Bread, Halibut, the Lavender Fondue, and the wings. We loved everything!
Nice local, elegant atmosphere... Definitely Posh... Bring someone that you truly enjoy being around, have a drink and a dish and just live in the moment. The location won't make it an unforgettable evening, but you can have an unforgettable evening at this location.
Always excellent. The fondu is so good. The trout is outstanding
Late night food!!! We came late night and the bar area was packed. We sat at a table and ordered some wine, steak, mussels and a dessert- their famous apple cobbler like. The wines (from Columbia Valley) was amazing. I didn’t know they were famous for cabs- it was delicious. The mussels came with a huge hunk of pork, made the broth tasted like a ramen broth. Wish they had small pieces of chorizo in there. My bfs steak was good- we loved the veggies that came with our food. The best thing, the desert. It was good, took 20 minutes to bake (they tell you) but totally worth it. Apples in dessert were spot on. So good!
Great food and atmosphere. Convenient for walking in Seattle downtown.
This place is my favorite restaurant. Everything is priced up just a tad to keep the experience always top quality. All the people are super friendly every minute the place is open
I've always loved the ambience of the Palace Kitchen. From the deep lighting to the warmth of the staff, the position of the tables and booths... Everything is inviting and encourages multiple return trips. Whether dining alone or with a party of 10, Palace Kitchen delivers!
Love this place, consistently delicious food, stuff drinks, exceptional service. I go every time I'm in Seattle. Try the pasta, you'll not forget it!
Always a favorite! I have been going here for 15 years. It's a great industry spot with the whole menu available until 1 a.m. Tom Douglas got this right!
Great service by happy employees-Tom Douglas takes care of his people-great food.
Always great. Food is fantastic and service is 5 star.
Moderate. The music was loud and pounding. Thankfully we were seated in a quiet part of the restaurant. The chicken wing appetizer was substantial but quite spicy and there was no warning for this. Our server replaced with plain wings. My mushroom and mozzarella pasta was very tasty but the portion was oh so small I let the server know this. I would have left hungry if not for the slices of bread she brought. It's a great menu and the service was great. I would return to try again.
When it's packed here, there easy spots to sneak into at the bar!
Nice place, pretty good food. On a higher end of price range, plus the mandatory 20% auto-grat on everyone (it was 2 of us, so not a large group situation like all other places). The service quality was not up to par of justifying that though.
The absolute best restaurant I have been to in Seattle this far! Highly recommended! Amazing service and delicious food!!! What more can you ask for
Food was good, wings were a little salty, maybe a tad overpriced!
It took about an hour before I was even able to order. The food was good, don't get me wrong, but the wait time as well as the poor heating is just not quite 4 stars
Great Food Friendly Service
Very professional dining crew with excellent service, fondue is amazing & a great burger... hit the spot
This is Seattle's best late-night grub spot. They serve till 1, have fantastic bartenders/cocktails, and the coconut cream pie alone is worth the stop. 11/10 would do this again!
Our daughters & son-in-laws late night go to place to dine out when they lived in Seattle
Really intimate atmosphere with really juicy chicken
Best bar staff in Seattle
Food was good. But for the qty you got and the price you are charged it did not seem worth it.
Wow! We came here with a group of 6 after a movie and the staff went out of their way to make room for us. They we're able to work around some of our allergens as well, which is always a bonus. Even though the food is pricy, it is absolutely worth it. The only thing I didn't love were the specialty drinks. They seemed a bit pricey for what you got. They we're kind enough to replace it with a standard cocktail and not charge me. I was much happier with my replacement drink. The staff was amazing and so polite. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be coming back soon.
Beef short ribs (1st Entrée) arrived with an overabundance of fat. They brought second short rib order (2nd Entrée)... that was also overly fatty. They offered to bring a third Entrée (3rd Entrée), but by then we were done eating. So, took Entrée off the bill and gave us free pie. Ack!
1st time here was a great experience! It was a Friday and placed was busy, but we were seated to a table shortly after arrival. Our friendly server was helpful and kept checking on us. I was given two wines to taste before I could decide. That was nice! The trout was delicious, though mine looked smaller compared to the other trouts I saw from the photos. Fish was still tasty. They deboned the fish in front of you. Will come back soon to try other items!
Great food and staff ... coconut pie was the best ending to the night
Great food, service. A must for local and visitors. A Seattle favorite!
One of the best restaurants in downtown Seattle. Palace kitchen doesn't have the best curb appeal I've seen but man do they deliver with delicious food and fantastic service. Their location on 5th is convenient to pretty much any downtown location as well. I was lucky to be able to sample a large portion of their menu and they had some amazing offers. The crispy brussel sprouts and housemade fondue were tremendous appetizers and full of flavor. The citrus chicken and NY strip were also top of the line with moisture and flavor in every bite. The addition of garlic butter to the steak was just a touch above most other non steakhouse beef options. The balance of garlic in this dish was also impressive as it can be overpowering on many occasions.
Great drinks and selection and the menu is good.
Awesome menu, lots of variety. We had the alpine nachos which were great. The scallops were fantastic, smoky and unique. The parsnip and meyer lemon fritters were wonderful.
Delicious as always
They always take good care of us here! We stop in after our show at Jazz Alley. COCONUT PIE is to die for♡
Outstanding food, service and atmosphere! My husband and I chose to go to Palace Kitchen for a romantic dinner this past weekend and loved our choice to go here. Another Seattle restaurant that automatically adds 20% gratuity to everyone's bill regardless of the number of people dining. No issue paying it because we were extremely satisfied with our experience from start to finish. Very creative menu and every bite was mind blowing!
If you're a picky eater prepared to get ridiculed when you place your order. It was alright but my pals liked it. Over priced for fancy grilled food bc they use wood. $$$
I had a blast. I would recommend this place to anyone
Nice clean restaurant though very low lighting...steak was very average so not too likely to return to test more of the menu.
Amazing food. Great atmosphere.
Fantastic food and the staff are on it. Great late night option for travelers just getting into town. Full bar and a small selection of craft beer.
I went with a former employee and had a great time!
I gave them 2 stars because the food was good but not better then any other restaurant. Not sure why they charge so much. Ate here late because it was open. Service was ok. I had hoped for a better experience. Wish I would have gone somewere else.
Expensive but still tasty. $30 cheese plate is very small and is similar in size to an Alaska Airlines cheese plate. Cocktails were liked by our party, but if you're into spicy cocktails, there are none on the menu. The space is on the tight side, but it feels cozy rather than crowded. Service was excellent.
Open late with a full menu. High quality ingredients. Food isn’t the cheapest, but isn’t super expensive either when you consider the quality of the ingredients, taste, dish as a whole, but even more so the service you get here. This is a place you go not just to eat, but to dine and enjoy the experience. Gets a little busy sometimes but that hasn’t ever compromised service or food.
Great location, solid bar staff and really good food for a late night spot. And yo, real talk, pistachios on the bar. Nothing but class. Walking distance to down town, slip in.
I love the atmosphere here and it always smells good like a campfire burnin
Recommended to us by our server Wade at Local 360 - Palace Kitchen did not disappoint. Their amazing menu satisfied my craving for fries. In fact, I can say with 100% certainty that these were the best fries I've eaten in my life (and that's a lot of fries). Great cocktails, impeccable service. Would recommend to all.
I feel so at home at Palace Kitchen. I've literally been eating here for 19 years. I feel like I've been dining at the never-ending shmorgasboard that is depicted in giant painting that runs the length of the room all this time. The food usually exceeds expectations even if you order it not really being sure of what it is. Basically this is my go to favorite restaurant in Seattle. I eat here probably 20 times per year. It is consistently delicious. The staff is friendly and professional.
Extra solid burger and posh gastro pub food
Great food and a diverse enough menu for a little adventure
Good food, but i don't like the 20% mandatory tip.
Very conveniently located right behind Doopler building, amiable staff. Greeted at the entrance and seated at once no waiting. They have a good selection of American food and good alcohol, wine and beer selection. I enjoyed my time during my visit and highly recommend this place for friends for a small or big gathering.
I can't remember the last time I had such an incredible meal from start to finish. Thoughtful and beautiful food. Attentive service and staff. Highly recommend the pig ear poutine. Perfection!
Raviolis on the late night happy hour, make sure and get (2) orders.
Food was good, service was good..... drunk guy who came and sat at my table without an invite, not so good.... but the waitress saw and was very quick to tell the guy that wouldn't be tolerated. I would definitely go back, just for the coconut cream pie!!
We love going to palace kitchen when visiting Seattle. My favorite things about this place is that they are open late which is so nice if you’re looking for fine cuisine after most places have closed. The menu is always new and exciting. I’m impressed with the unique flavor combinations. I also love the atmosphere in here.
Really nice vibe. Excellent late night menu, without the feeling of being intimidated. The blonde waitress, I didn't get to ask for her name took great care of my party even gave us some of their artisan bread to try. Wings were great, the mussels were amazing. And the older Asian bartender can make really great drinks.
Turkey Leg is to die for. The pastas melt in your mouth. One of my Seattle favorites.
Food is amazing but all portions are children's sized.
I've been eating and drinking at the Palace Kitchen over many years and it never gets boring. Menus change with the seasons; the cocktail menu and hosted beers are always inventive and the staff are great - attentive, and making great recommendations on pairing dishes/drinks. Everyone should have (or at least share) the Palace Burger and the grilled chicken at least once in their lives!
The food here was more than amazing! I am looking forward to going back soon! Cocktails were super good too. Could be a romantic place!
Great place to have a late night bite to eat. Everything on the menu is good, the wait staff is very friendly. There is street parking available as well as a nearby parking garage. Rare to find a place of this quality where the kitchen is open till 1 am. A bit pricey, but the quality of the food allows for it
Utterly delicious with top-notch service.
Great place to unwind after a long day. Bar staff are awesome and the NY steak was cooked to perfection. This is a great neighborhood place to hangout.
A bit fancy but there's nothing like it. Plin, fondue & Burger Royale every time! They treat us like royalty here plus new ricotta chocolate chip donut holes are amazing!
Great food and great ambiance! The coconut cream pie is a must to get for dessert!!
Brussels sprouts were AMAZING! The burger was TASTY, and was plenty for 2.
Way overrated. Their specialty drinks are terrible. The food is so-so at best.
This place was 5 stars from the moment we walked in until we left... our server was fantastic - attentive and very knowledgable about the menu! My wife and I shared 4 courses - great way to taste a bunch of items! 1) Cocktails - all top notch... PK Old Fashioned, Manhattan, and Rosemary lemon drop. Solid 2) Goat cheese fondue: we ordered on rec from our waiter and were not disappointed- cheese was warm and very smooth... perfectly balanced with the bread and fruit! 3) Gem Lettuce Salad: I would eat more salad in life if they all tasted like this. The combo of light dressing, goat cheese, and pickled rhubarb was perfect. 4) Ravioli (App): This may have been my favorite, also on rec from waiter... flavors were bursting! 5) Burger (with add bacon): outstanding flavor - meat was perfect and delicious fries on side. Sadly we ran out of time before our show at Paramount and couldn't order dessert. We WILL be back, next time with friends!
Everything about this place is excellent. Ambiance, service, and especially the food. The food has always been perfect and drinks are fabulous too. Love Palace Kitchen!
Great food and service! Nikki and Michelle are pros!!
Excellent food, great atmosphere, wonderful staff
Fresh fruit bar drinks, great food.
One of my favorite restaurants. Food is surprisingly affordable for the quality. Definitely get their clam/mussell appetizer. It's one of the best things on their menu!
The food was delicious, however as with any Tom Douglas restaurant it was fairly expensive. Since the mandatory 20% service charge was introduced here, I've felt that the service has slipped. Come for the food, not the service.
Really great atmosphere. We went on a Saturday night around 7pm. Didn’t have to wait, we were sat immediately. Hostess was pleasant. We moved to the bar, it was more lively there. The bartender was great. I forgot his name. He had been there for years. Also gave me some great advice on where to go for the night. I had the chicken wings. Wasn’t a big fan, however my girlfriend had the roasted chicken and it was top shelf. Food isn’t cheap but not over the top either. They offer unlimited pistachios at the bar! So fill up on that. Drink menu decent! Go here!
Waited for our appetizer (selection of four cheeses) for over 40 minutes. Then, one entree (gnocchi) included an allergen to the member in our party who ordered it. This ingredient (apple) was not mentioned on the menu. The dish was prepared again without allergen, but gnocchi appeared to have been cooked by torch and were raw inside. Was also told meat was generally served on the rare side, so I ordered my burger medium well thinking it would still have some pink, but boy was this thing beyond well. So dry and tasteless. And fries doused in salt to boot. Still baffled by how kitchens aren’t prepared for being swamped during weekend service, and how restaurants include automatic 20% gratuity when barely deserving of 5%-10%.
Love this place. Excellent service every time we come here. Quality food
Really wonderful service with an even more impressive menu. I shared apps with a family member and we were both so impressed. We had a beautiful beet salad, roasted asparagus, and chicken wings. Beautiful atmosphere and fair prices for inside the city.
Service was great food was pretty good. Wife had tuna she said was awful. I had pork loin which was really good. Son had fried Turkey leg he said was good. Another son had burger he said was Ok. A little pricey for quality of food. Probably will not go back.
I went there for a work celebration dinner, and the food was excellent! The chopped kale salad was wonderful - especially the dressing! The Salish Sea Halibut with Tarragon Aioli was absolutely delicious! I also tried the Oven Roasted Cauliflower, and it was also very tasty. The atmosphere was nice as well. Our group's tables were arranged right in the front corner, which was basically all windows. My only complaint was that I never received the Goat Cheese-Lavender Fondue that I ordered. I was really looking forward to trying it!
Came here for happy hour. The host didn't seem to be adept at what he's doing, since it took more than 5 minutes to find a seat when there were less than 10 people in the restaurant. When we got seated, the waitress was super disturbed since we moved the table a bit to give us more space. The food was mediocre & half cold. The mussels were not fresh, the sauce for the wings were too sour, steak was too done. Only highlight was the fries. Wouldn't come back.
So great!!!! Bartender funny, friendly and professional. The only place open past 9 on New year's day, went there out of necessity and will go back whenever in Seattle. Those tiny raviolis rocked my world! Can't help but feel for the prep cook rolling them , because I could eat the.by the bucket full
My fiance and I went out for a date night here. It wasn't our favorite restaurant. Reminded us of the Metropolitan Grill, "High prices, small portions and food I could cook at home for less that taste just the same." The portions were really small as you can see in the pictures. We ordered the calamari and the grilled chicken wings. The wings were different, they were the entire wing piece of the chicken and the calamari was good but there wasn't a lot of it. For dinner I had the Pork Loin which was tasted good but again not very filling. My Fiance had the burger which was cheaper than mine but had a lot more food with it. The atmosphere was cool and we had a good window seat but that was the highlight of the night. Oh and they charge a 20% service fee which is also taxed so keep that in mind. I think for the 2 appetizers, 2 meals and one drink the bill was around $110 including the service fee. Little high for what you get in my opinion.
Meal before Jazz Alley. Nice choices all around and Great service. 20% service is included and they do a great job of informing you.
Great spot. I usually sit at the bar but also has dining room seating. Good never disappointed me here. Bartenders are knowledgeable. They also have a private room for events.
An original member of the fine dining in Seattle. All the starters are worth a try but don't miss the ravioli or the braised Lamb tougne. Limited mains are all wonderful, especially the pasta. Great ambience topped by the horseshoe bar and mural.
Best wings ever. Food is consistently amazing.
Food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. However, service and attention slowed way down after we got our food and drinks. Would definitely go back, but not if we have a time constraint.
Excellent food, large portion and great price. Open late so You won't stay hungry when all other places are closed in this area. This was my 2nd visit in few months.
Food was great here, but pasta kind of way to salty in the end, maybe can put some sweetness bacon in for balance. Fries are good, service here are friendly and fast
If they make a mistake on your order, they go waaaay out of their way to make up for it without even being asked to do so. I was shocked by how apologetic and accommodating they were for my meal taking a bit longer than expected. Wonderful staff, great food, and open late for a last-minute date night :)
Toe dog strikes again. Great food!
Loses two stars for ruining the best burger in Seattle. I mean what the hell were they thinking? Before: mouth watering burger you dreamed about. After: tastes like a burger you’d get at Chili’s. I mean seriously. I want to give one star but that’s kind of irrational as the fondue is good and vibe/ambiance is nice. It’s too pricey for what it is though.
If you are looking for a great venue for a date night cocktail, this is your place. Great atmosphere and service.
Tom Douglas does not disappoint, especially with this restaurant. We started with the octopus, which was perfectly cooked. For the main course my husband ordered the burger and I ordered the rotisserie chicken. Dessert we ordered the vanilla ice cream and the coconut cream pie. The entire meal was delicious, the service was phenomenal, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. If you're visiting Seattle this is a MUST stop place!
Very dark but good food.
Unique fare, great to share
Wonderful bartender and staff. Would definitely visit again!
Yes yes yes. I first went here a decade ago. And ever since then whenever I'm in Seattle, I drag whoever I'm with, to supper here. I've never been disappointed. Try the lavander fondue. The burger is hand made, and if you don't get it medium rare, don't bother getting it at all. The pasta is great, the fish also great. Last time they burnt the fish, but a quick comment to our lovely waitress and a new dish was brought out, and was perfect. If you have room you must get the coconut cream pie. Or if not, the next morning, go up the hill to the dahlia bakery and get one there.
Great food, casual vibe, open late, excellent service.
Always tastes like a home-cooked meal here. From one of the best hamburgers and fries to baked chicken, you can't go wrong! Flavors are real, simple, pure. And a great attentive staff earns their "included service fee" on the bill.
One of the most consistently great options downtown for a meal, imho. Service has been outstanding the three times I've been here, but I've had the same server each time so I can't comment on how things are more generally. The food is very well prepared, though the red meat (burgers, steak, etc) tends towards the red side, so order accordingly. Mixed drinks are expertly prepared, and the desserts are very, very good. Be warned, lots of nuts across the menu for those who are allergic, but they're good about keeping them out if flagged.
Great service and amazing food!
