I walked from Ernie's Truck stop a quarter of a mile to wonderful place. The outside appearance was very clean. The restrooms were very clean. The inside appearance was extremely clean. My server was " Masako S. " and would recommend requesting for her. She was on top of her game and making sure my coffee was filled up and checking up. The presentation of my food which I ordered a 3 egg ham and cheese omelet with hash browns and wheat toast. She also advised that they make their own jam. Their Jam was very delightful. A mixture of blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. My overall experience of this place was extremely great. It will be placed on my list of places to go to when I am in the area.

This place is awesome. We went with the cheese and bacon potato pancakes and they didn't disappoint. probably the best potato pancakes I've had in a long time but could use more cheese. The original pancakes are even better and you can taste the fact that they're made from scratch. the vegetables and fruits used for topping were delicious but not very fresh.

I love this place! I've been there over ten times. The staff are nice, it has a really friendly neighborhood feel, and the food is high quality. Good bacon, freezer Jam, and Dutch babies. I always have good service. Most of the waitresses have been there a while. I like that you get a free dessert on your birthday. I love breakfast and this is in my top two favorite places to get breakfast all day. I highly recommend it!

Came here due to being close to hotel. Ordered ribeye and shrimp. Steak was cooked perfectly but lacking flavor. Shrimp was better than the steak. Ordered a creme brulee for dessert and can say was probably the worst iv ever had. Its was severely burnt.

Went here on Fathers day. The hash browns where not even cooked five of the seven people ordered them. The orange juice had so much pulp could not drink it. This was the worst food I ever ordered. I did talk to manager and gave a 20.00 discount for 7 people the food we were not able to eat. We will never go back again. The day was ruined had to go spend more money somewhere else.

Great place to eat and if you have Gluten issues and have missed out on pancakes or other bread treats they have a great selection of Gluten free items so enjoy a stack of pancakes or a pastry with your coffee. Thank you guys & gals for the extra effort during the power outage with all the Extra guest. Out standing job.

I went for breakfast a couple days ago. The service was great, the food was wonderful and cooked to order. They weren't out of biscuits this time. They have consistent long term staff with smiles. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. I love the fireplace. I hope this place is around for a lot longer.

So being stuck here in Kent overnight my wife and I decided to look at local restaurants and reviews and we actually stumbled upon it's amazing Gem within walking distance from Ernie's truck stop. My wife and I decided to walk down there with our two children and from the moment we walked in and got seated we knew it was going to be a great dining experiencethe atmosphere of the restaurant was very casual very calm and quite relaxing our server was Amy and she started off by taking our kids orders first bringing us drinks and then taking our orders even letting a sample the amazing clam chowder that they had to offer... What really got me was the kids meals are served in a little toy cardboard Chevrolet pickup that even comes with Teddy grahams and from that moment on we were just completely amazed by the service that we received the quality of food my wife had the mitzel's Cobb salad with a bowl of that amazing clam chowder I had the seafood basket and the salmon was so fresh you could almost taste the ocean the panko crusted cod was simply delectable and the deep fried breaded shrimp were to die all served on a huge bed of hand-cut Northwest french fries and on the side was some coleslaw that left you wanting more... we will definitely be going back to that restaurant every time that we are here in Kent or we're stuck here overnight because that was definitely a five-star meal and VIP service

Great service, bland food. Server was laurie great, energy, charismatic even though it was close to the end of her shift. Highly disappointed in the food. It looked great but none of the veggies had flavor. It was as though there was no seasoning even in the hashbrowns. I thought I'd come back for service but the food was so tasteless I don't think I'll put myself through that. The homemade jam was yummy though. Had the veggie scramble. Loved the fireplace.

My wife and I went to Mitzel's American Kitchen in Kent because I was craving turkey and ordered the pot pie. It was delicious and the portion size was great. I had enough to take home for another meal. Love the turkey at this place. And you can see them roasting as you walk in the door. Excellent cobbler here too!

The food was delicious and super fresh, amazing homemade meals. My waitress, Masako S, was very friendly and hospital. She greeted me when coming in for the first time, and was very warm and welcoming. The service was amazing and the food took no time at all to cook. This is one of the best restaurants that I have been to in a long time.

If I lived in the Seattle are, (not within the realm of possibility), I would make it a point to eat here every chance I got. Its reminiscent of those old school east coast diners with the deep, deep, deep menus. The menu here isn't actually very deep but it's just fine. Staff is well trained and works well together. I had the chowder, salad, prime rib with grilled shrimp followed by the creme brulee. Every single item, including the Bloody Mary and Coors Light long neck, was served just like you'd expect. I love this place. My server was Shannon and she was a rock star, efficient and very well trained. I will absolutely return, should I be forced to return to this area.

The food was excellent. The amount given is amazing. The service is old fashion and so friendly. They have senior deals to. They also have bar and bakery. Most employees have been there over 15 years. Our server has been there 20 years. It's a beautiful restaurant. Eat there. You will like it. Friendly service, usually tasty food, very relaxing, accommodating, large menu selection. I request a specific corner table, and was accommodated.

My soup and salad with dead, it was wilty the sliced tomatoes where frozen, it didn't look very nice, it was late at night, still no excuse, the soups pasta was so overdone it melted when you ate it. The waitress did not come back and check. I told her my friend who is joining me, was joining me for some kind of dessert. He didnt get any dessert ....... I will go back, maybe. Needless to say I was very disappointed overall. Not what it use to be......

Maybe good for lunch (my husband enjoyed his burger and fries) but I was super underwhelmed with my breakfast. It took 40 minutes to get our food and we never got water with our meal. My ham was cold, not enough gravy on my biscuits and the hash browns were bland. I gave two stars because his burger was pretty good and my scrambled eggs and peach iced tea was very good. Don't think we will be back. Minimal parking, attached to a large hotel.

If you are staying in a nearby hotel, this place is pretty good! I got the turkey dinner and it was very good! My server was attentive and they had a pretty good seasonal red on tap. Reasonably priced. I didn't partake, but there was a great looking selection of pies and cakes!

Mapper and guides describe and compare it to Shari's... but nah it's way better. No syrup needed as the delicious buttery waffle melts in your mouth. Spicy Chorizo omelette with hollandaise sauce? Yes, Please! Grits? Noone offers grits anymore, get in my belly. Staff is attentive, skilled, and interesting. No, they don't chat you up all day; but there's something about 10 seconds of quick witty banter that can improve your whole experience.

If I could chose a breakfast place to introduce to outside residents, it would be Mitzels. The waitstaff is great every time I’m there. It’s super easy to find, and has good sweet and savory breakfast options. Everything I’ve had here is delicious. They make their own jam and if you need recommendations, the waitstaff is super helpful. I highly suggest everyone try the German pancake! It’s clean, it’s cozy, it won’t disappoint for breakfast options.

If you're looking for catering services, you won't find anyone better than Mitzel's. They obviously hold themselves to the highest of standards, with food, presentation, cleanup, and friendliness. Our Rotary Club had them cater our breakfast for a number of years and they were amazing. I HIGHLY recommend Mitzel's American Kitchen.

I must say Mitzel's was amazing. I had the salsbury steak, and it was 100% compared to a Banquet meal!! It was 100% pure beef patty seasoned with onions and mushrooms and gravy. Yum. My mom had the 5-high ham and cheese sandwhich on garlic cheese bread and oh my goodness, if i wasnt so full from mine, i wouldve ate the rest of hers. Good job Mitzel's.

Nice place to eat. Good variety of meal options with a family friendly atmosphere. Staff were all quite friendly and welcoming. This place is rated "Good" by the King County Department of Health, which is the second highest rating. Price was decent and portions were large. I had the Dungeness Crab Salad which had all sorts of goodness on it including black olives, real pieces of bacon (NOT Baco-bits), tomato, and avocado. It was quite delicious, and I had to save some for later, as the portion was gargantuan. All in all, great place to grab a bite.

Visited Seattle and was looking to find some good local places to eat. Several people mentioned Mitzel’s American Kitchen. I arrived around 8 on a weekend before the rush and found the atmosphere enjoyable and waitress inviting. Food was prepared quickly and was as expected, delicious. The blueberry pancakes were cooked just right to not overdo the blueberries and then added more blueberries on top for good measure. Overeating would be be easy here so come hungry and leave satisfied. I can say again, very good service; my drink was never left empty.

They really get 3 1/2 stars, a local restaurant in the greater Seattle area using frozen fish thawed out to make fish and chips, Really! At least the single waitress did a good job. If this was a chain restaurant I could see frozen fish. What else is is frozen I wonder. They are an average place serving average food.
