Ordered the spicy chicken sandwich (Medium Heat). Amazingly juicy chicken perfectly seasoned with a griddle toasted bun. You will not be disappointed.

First visit 1pm on a Saturday. This place is inside Rachel's ginger beer storefront. It's a walk up window in the right corner. The menu is small, sandwich, drumsticks or fingers. Your choice of a couple of sides & heat. The place was packed, barely room to move or sit. It was 1/2 hr wait for our order. Naked fingers & tots. Have to say it was very good flavor, crunch and tenderness. Worth the wait, I'm guessing it's not as packed during the week.

Absolutely incredible fried chicken sandwich (the spicier ones are no joke!) Priced moderately high for what you get, yet all the ingredients come across as fairly good quality, so maybe you really are getting what you pay for. I love the sweet roll bun and the thick pickles are delicious

Stabbe stubbs

Great fried chicken sandwiches, really amazing pickles. The hot is really hot. Only downside is the price Wich feels a bit steep.

It was ok.. certainly subpar to the broasted fried chicken at Marco Polo on 4th Ave caddy-corder from kittens strip-club. Friendly staff tho and great finer beer selection.

R Stemmerman

That is some really good fried chicken!! And the mac & cheese was so delicious! Everything I tried was good. I will definitely go again. But warning... the food is substantial. If you have only a light appetite make sure you have someone with you to share. Whew!

Closes 20 minutes before posted hours. Thanks for wasting my time and my gas.

Really, really good. Spicy! Ginger beer was excellent. Great service.

Austin McDermott

It was definitely good, but didn't stand out as like, out of this world chicken that reviews seemed to indicate. Fries were excellent though, and really big portions for the price.

Chicken a bit dry for the price tag.. cool environment

This place was amazing a year ago. Now it has gone bad. The chicken is dry and stringy instead of juicy and tender. The sammiches are small now instead of massive. This place went from the best restaurant in Seattle to not even worth trying. What happened?

Tastes like old oil. Had to ask employees to clear a space for us to eat. Honey mustard sauce tastes like alcohol. Wouldn’t waste your money

Great chicken sandwich. The pickled daikon adds shuch a unique flavor and crunch. The spice levels are true to the advertising. Potato-mac-salad is on point. Order at the back right corner inside Rachel's ginger beer.

Such a great spot. Busy often for a good reason.

Ordered the fried chicken sandwich. It was good but overly priced. Went only because of the exceptional reviews of the place but wouldn’t want to spend that much on a fried chicken sandwich. The place was in university village which itself is a treat, has a cool dining area and one of the places that are open beyond 10 pm.

Robert Smith

Great fried chicken and chicken sandwiches. The spicy ones are the best. The hot is actually hot and the hot hot hot one is almost too spicy for me and I'm pretty good with spicy foods. Sandwiches are nice and big.

Sara Aslam Vaquero

This place is overrated. We ordered 2 chicken sandwich and sweet potatoes. The sandwiches didn’t have much flavor and the sweet potatoes were expensive in my opinion. I give this place a “meh”

I just went yesterday and the chicken is so juicy and tender, with such a good, flavorful, crunchy breading. This is my favorite fried chicken in Seattle and worth the price.

Way too salty bread and the pickles were too sweet and just wasn't what I was hoping for. The taste was a bit strange. Sorry for sounding really mean but that how ivwoI w honestly rate the food.

Gregg Bloom

Delicious chicken tenders that are actually tender. First time, I tried the medium heat and it was kind of mild, I barely noticed any spice. Today I opted for hot, not their hottest, just four out of five hot, and it's a veritable capsaicin cliff. This is OMG, three alarm hot. I can't even taste the sauce it's so freaking hot. But at least I can tell that the chicken is still perfectly tender. Next time I'll go back to medium and be happy with it. Oh yeah! The pickles. They're kind of amazing. Get extra if you can.

Prasad Thakur

Great fried tenders and drumsticks. Awesome service.

My boyfriend and I got the naked and mild chicken sandwiches with one side order of fries. This place is amazing!! Portions are very generous and the chicken was moist and crispy. Would highly recommend!

Yummy as always and best paired with RGB!

Reasonably good fried chicken with slaw or Mac n cheese to cut the spice. I will be trying the sandwiches next time.

Whoever said this chicken is dry is lying. Moist and rich and vibrant - and crunchy fried. The spicy is real spicy so we often get naked (no spice) on the chicken sandwich with the crispy lettuce and mayo. Perfect to pair with a Rachel's Ginger Beer Moscow mule (Maono's is the kitchen in the RGB bar).

Really nicely done chicken sandwich. However, the price is almost double that of any other competitor, and still incurs a premium over higher end competition. It’s overpriced, even for Seattle. The food is 5* but the wallet damage is just too big.

They discontinued bottomless mimosas. This was a mistake. Food is good, environment is loud.

Maggie Rivers

I got the chicken fried tofu sandwich in medium. They can make it without lard to make it fully vegetarian. This was a really good sandwich. The pickles were awesome and the tofu was very flavorful. The medium was not very hot at all in my opinion, so if you’re into spicy food, I’d go for a hot sandwich.

Shawn Ford

Normally very good but this time my chicken sandwich was super burnt and I didnt get my Daikon pickle. Super weak!

John Windust

Love this place

Good location with RGB. Not as good as the original location. Very heavily battered chicken tenders. Not just that, it seems either overcooked or refried ones that's been sitting out for awhile. The chicken was very dry and rubbery. Had to slowly tear out inedible chunks of rock hard batter. Threw most of it away. Kinda sucks, I really liked this place but the quality needs to improve.

Service was quick and food was delicious but I wish they had more sauce options. Overall a positive experience.

Pretty good. Loved bit. Tried the chicken sandwich and was awesome

Not sure about the 5 ⭐️ reviews, maybe I just went there on a bad day. The chicken fingers were over fried and dry and also quite salty. The drumsticks were nicely done, though - nice crust and seasoning on the outside. I would agree with some other reviews that the inside tasted kind of bland, probably not brined. The chicken sandwich was pretty good, but the chicken was also over-cooked, although not as much as the chicken fingers. The flavor combinations of the chicken, picked daikon, and the sauce was delicious, at least. The saving grace was the tater tots - nicely fried and crunchy on the outside with moist interior. I do like the pickled daikon - just the right amount of acidity and sweetness, which went really well especially with the chicken sandwich.

Too inconsistent to be great. We live behind the U Village and love Maono’s West Seattle establishment, but in our half dozen or so visits here since their U Village outpost opened, we’ve (mostly) been disappointed. When it *first* opened we thought it was amazing: perfectly battered and juicy fried chicken with killer hot sauces. (“Hot hot hot” is no joke but it still balances pain with flavor.) Since then it’s been downhill. The last two visits, our chicken has been overcooked. You can’t overcook chicken at a chicken restaurant — not a little bit, and certainly not to the extent where the chicken is tough and your teeth can’t separate it... which is exactly how overcooked a part of my (otherwise well-prepared) chicken sandwich was today! The time before, it took 45 minutes from the time I ordered (or, at least, the time my order receipt appeared in my email inbox) to actually receiving my chicken strips and tots. That seems... too long. Ma’ono needs to rediscover quality control. I hope they do; we know that this place can be so darn good, since it once *was*.

Another yummy iteration of the West Seattle fried chicken establishment, attached to the wonder RGB. I always enjoy getting the chicken sandwiches however the service is meh and many of the tables are often quite dirty. I usually end up ordering take out and eating outside or taking back home after a long day shopping
